You put the stuff in the janitor's room and returned to the class. You silently peeked inside to check if Jay was there.
??: (whispering) "What are you doing here?"
Y/n: (whispering) "I am checking if Jay is inside or not."
??: (whispering) "But why?"
Y/n: (whispering) "Because I don't want to..."
But sudden realization hit you, and you looked beside to see Yunjin standing there, with Jay right behind.
Jay: (crossing his arms) "You don't want to?"
Y/n: (gulp) (pointing towards the window) "Look what's there."
Yunjin and Jay looked back, and you tried to run out, but Jay held your bag strap and pulled you back.
Jay: (smirking) "Nice try, Y/n. But this time I'm not falling for this trick."
Y/n: "Trick? What trick? I swear I saw something outside."
You tried to get out of his grip, but it was of no use.
Jay: (cold) "Save it, Y/n. You can never fool me."
Y/n: (frustrated) "Jay, seriously, let go of me!"
Jay: (coldly) "First tell me what you were doing here?"
Y/n: (nervously chuckling) "Hehe, I... I was just... umm... looking for Rose!!!"
Jay: (cold) "Is it? Then why were you secretly peeking instead of directly going inside?"
Y/n: (nervous) "Uhhh.... I.... I (cut)"
Jake: (confused) "What's happening here?"
Rose: "Jay, let go of Y/n's bag. What's going on?"
Jake: (raising an eyebrow) "Are you two arguing?"
Jay: (smiling) "No, we were just talking. Right, Y/n?"
Y/n: (quickly changing the subject) "Yeah, exactly. Hey, guys, it's getting late. Shouldn't we head home now?"
Yunjin: (checking the time) "Yes, Y/n is right, (pouting) my mom will think I am wasting my time somewhere instead of studying."
Y/n: (worried) "Does your mom still give you a hard time about studying?"
Yunjin: (sadly) "Yeah, she thinks I need to study harder from the start of the semester to get good grades. So, she makes me study day and night."
Rose: (compassionate) "Aww, my poor baby, don't worry. We'll help you ace those exams."
Y/n: "We'll make sure you get through this, Yunjin. Don't stress too much."
Jay: "We'll support you every step of the way. Don't hesitate to ask for help."
Jake: "Absolutely. We'll even make study sessions fun, you'll see."
Yunjin: (grateful) "Thanks, guys. I don't know what I'd do without you all. You're like my second family."
Jay: "No worries, after all, we are friends, right?"
Jake: "Agreed. Now, let's get out of here before we all turn into ghosts ourselves from staying too late."
Rose: (rolling her eyes) "Were we supposed to laugh at this?"
Jake: (teasing) "No, this joke wasn't for non-humorous people like you."
Rose: (offended) "Oh please, Jake. Your jokes are about as funny as a funeral procession."
Jake: (grinning) "Hey now, at least my jokes have some life in them. Unlike your sense of humor, which seems to be on permanent vacation."
Rose: (mock gasping) "Excuse me? My sense of humor is just fine, thank you very much. It's not my fault if you can't appreciate sophisticated wit."
Jake: (chuckling) "Sophisticated wit? More like dry as the Sahara Desert. Come on, Rose, loosen up a bit!"
Y/n: (chuckle) "Alright, alright, now don't start a roasting battle here."
Jay: (nodding) "Y/n's right. Save the banter for another time."
Jake: (grinning) "Fine, fine. But mark my words, Rose, one day you'll crack a smile at one of my jokes!"
Rose: (smirking) "We'll see about that, Jake. We'll see."
Y/n: (looking at Jay) "Are you going to leave my bag today?"
Jay: (leaving your bag) "Hmm."
Rose: "Okay, guys, wait here; I will bring my backpack."
Jake/Yunjin: "Me too."
Y/n: (trying to escape) "Well... I will wait for you all outside the school building. Be quick."
You turned to leave, but Jay stopped you again.
Jay: (holding your hand) "Where do you think you are going, huh? Wait here; you are not going anywhere."
Y/n: (stubborn) "But why?"
Jay: "Jake, can you bring my backpack too?"
Jake: (smirking) "Yes, of course, master."
Jay: (cold) "Are you sure you want to wait outside, or are you planning to go home alone from that valley again?"
Y/n: (nervous chuckle) (In mind) "How did he find out I was planning to escape? Oh no."
Jay: (smirking) "Because I know you very well, Kim Y/n."
Y/n: (surprised) (In mind) "Did he read my mind again?"
Jay: (smiling) "Don't worry, I didn't read your mind. It's just that I can easily guess what you are thinking."
Y/n: (pouting) "I was not thinking of escaping. Don't doubt me. (sudden realization) Wait? What? Did you just mention Valley?"
Jay: (nervous) "Valley? What valley?"
Y/n: (suspicious) "Don't act smart, Master Jay. I heard that crystal clear. You mentioned valley just now. (cut)"
Jake: (nervous) "Why are you both standing here?"
Rose: (smiling) "Come on, let's go."
Y/n: (looking at Jay and Jake and then turning to Rose) "Let's go, Rose."
Jay/Jake: (wiping sweat) (mumbled) "Thank god, we are safe."
Yunjin: "You both are coming, right?"
Jay/Jake: (nervous chuckle) "Ah, yes, after you."
You five walked out of school together, and after dropping off Rose and Yunjin, Jay and Jake dropped you off.
On your way back, they were quiet, which was okay because you knew it would take time to make things normal again after not talking for a while. But now, you felt better because you knew they weren't mad at you anymore, and things were starting to get back to normal between you three. You were blushing continuously and feeling very happy because Jay and Jake were secretly adoring you, smiling but trying to hide it from you.
Jay: (acting cold) "Why are you smiling like an idiot?"
Y/n: (smiling) "Because I am happy."
Jake: (raising his eyebrows) "Why so?"
Y/n: "Because things are finally getting back to normal between us. I missed hanging out with you guys."
Jay: (acting cold) "Well, you shouldn't be. It's not like anything has changed, I am still mad."
Your bag was extra heavy today so you were continuously adjusting the bag strap.
Y/n: (smiling) (holding the strap) "You can't fool me, things have changed. I can feel it. And I'm happy about it."
Jake: (satisfied) "Yeah, things are definitely different now. I am glad you are happy."
Jay: (finally breaking into a smile) "I guess you're right. It does feel good to have everything back on track."
Y/n: (teasing) "See, Jay? It's not so bad to smile sometimes."
Jay: (smirking) (taking off your backpack carefully) "I guess not, especially when you're around."
Y/n: (sarcastic) (crossing arms) "So now you are not going to act cold anymore? I thought someone didn't want to eat with me."
Jay: (looking away) "Hey, I never said I didn't want to eat with you."
Y/n: (pout) "Then why didn't you come to eat with us the last few days?"
Jay: (holding your bag close to his chest) "I just needed some time to cool off, that's all."
Y/n: (smirking) "Uh-huh, sure, Jay. Whatever you say."
Jake: (chuckling) "Btw, we all know you can't stay mad at Y/n for long."
Y/n: (sarcastic) "And what about you, Jake? You also switched seats, seems like even you don't want to sit with me."
Jake: (nervous) "Uh, well, you see, it's not that I don't want to sit with you. It's just that... uh... I thought a change of scenery might be nice."
Y/n: (sarcastic) "Hmm right, wall seats always have great scenery, right?"
Jake: (chuckling) "Okay, okay, you got me. I was just trying to avoid you. But don't worry, I will exchange seats soon."
Y/n: (pouting) "Ouch, that hurts. Now you can stay there for a lifetime; I'm not going to take you back."
Jake: (shocked) "What? No, you can't kick me out like this. Jay and I already made a deal, for Wednesdays that seat is mine, right Jay?"
Jay: (chuckling) "That's her seat, so she gets to choose."
Jake: (feeling betrayed) "You just started talking an hour ago, and you're already taking her side."
Jay: (smirking) "I am always on her side."
Y/n: (pout) "You should be, and don't even dare to give him that seat back."
Jake: (whining) "Come on, Y/n, can't I switch back for one day a week? History lecture is so boring I can't stand it, please."
Y/n: (pout) "So you don't want to sit with me? You just want that seat so you can sleep, huh?"
Jake: (nervous) "Wait, what? No!! It's not like that."
Y/n: (angry) (walking forward) "I don't want to talk to you. Hmmp."
Jake: (following her) "No, Y/n, listen to me."
Jay: (smiling) (mumbled to himself) "I'm glad everything is back to normal."
You were walking ahead, and Jake was trying to make up with you while Jay was walking behind you holding your backpack and smiling at you both.
