Rory sat on the floor organizing her laundry, while Sabrina sat on the couch watching tv.
"Oh my god, he's so cute, don't you think Rory?" Sabrina excitedly pointed at the TV
Rory looked up to be faced with some gross old man "oh my god, would you stop doing that, I don't wanna look at your weird artsy shows"
"Relax, I'm only joking besides she's way more my type"
Rory looked up to be faced with an equally gross looking elderly woman.
"god, you're weird"
Just then the doorbell rings and a frantic Paris walks in.
"I tried to stay home and study myself but I can't. I don't know what anything means anymore. I mean, I can't even read my own handwriting. What does this say? The person who wrote this should be dressed in a clown suit stuffing bodies under their porch...You're in your pajamas."
"I know" Rory says as Sabrina turns around on the couch to see what was going on
This was the big night you had planned a rendezvous with Mr. Peanut?"
"Well..."
"You're doing laundry."
"Yes."
"You're doing laundry in your pajamas."
"My mom is out of town and I never get the house all to myself."
"You mean you never get to go months on end without seeing your parents, just getting an occasional postcard that doesn't even have a courtesy "Wish you were here" written on it? That does suck. Don't let me stand in your way."
Sabrina just slaps her mouth in shock from what she just witnessed
"Paris, wait I'll study with you" Rory says feeling bad
Rory and Paris study things Sabrina would never understand in a million years, eventually she goes upstairs to work on her painting. An hour goes by and the doorbell rings which Sabrina ignores
"Delivery" Jess stands at the door in front of Rory
"What are you doing here?"
"Well, Luke figured since you and your sister are alone tonight that maybe you wouldn't have any food in the house, so he sent over a care package."
Rory looks down at the food and back at Jess "you really expect me to believe that"
"Fine you caught me, I'm here for Sabrina"
"Knew it one sec, SABRINA" Rory calls upstairs motioning for Jess to come inside.
"What do- Jess!" Sabrina runs down the stairs almost falling before wrapping her arms around Jess causing him to almost drop the food.
After realizing what she was doing and how many people were in the room she quickly pushes herself off and dust off her clothes
"Ahem, hello Jess" Sabrina says in a fake deep voice, Jess just smiles at her
"Let's bring all this food to the kitchen" Rory says
"Oo you brought food" Sabrina claps excitedly
"Of course, it's you" Jess jokes
"god how much food did you bring, this could feed a village" Rory exclaims
"Hey I've seen you two eat, especially you" Jess points at Sabrina
"Are you staying, or can you stay?" Sabrina asks ignoring his previous comment
"You want me too?" Jess steps closer to Sabrina
"I wouldn't mind" Sabrina teasingly smiles
Just then Paris walks in
"I can't find my flash cards"
Sabrina runs over and gives her a hug
"Paris won't you join us for our very sophisticated feast"
"Wait-" Rory tries interject, she would feel weird having all these people over after not allowing Dean to come over, they had just made up too they were still a bit rocky
"Really?" Paris excitedly asks
"Of course, Jess' treat" Sabrina places her hand on Paris' arm
"You sure?" Paris getting her hopes up
"Positive" Sabrina smiles leading her further into the kitchen
"Is that mac and cheese?" Paris looks at all the food set out
"It sure is"
"I love mac and cheese"
"Me too" Sabrina pulls out a chair
"I'm not allowed to have mac and cheese"
"Splurge a little Paris"
The 3 teens sit down and begin to eat, hesitantly Rory sits down with them. Eventually they all start talking and joking around as if they've been a close group of friends for years.
"A tragic waste of paper" Paris says
"I can't believe you just said that, I can't believe she just said that" Jess repeats looking at Sabrina
"Sorry Jess, but I'm with Paris on this one" Sabrina sighs, Jess shakes his head in disbelief
"Of course she is, it's true, the Beat's writing was completely self-indulgent. I have one word for Jack Kerouac edit." Paris explains
"It was not self-indulgent. The Beats believed in shocking people, stirring things up." Jess defends
"They believed in drսg, booze, and petty crime."
"Well, then you can say that they exposed you to a world you wouldn't have otherwise known. Isn't that what great writing's all about?" Rory adds
"That was not great writing. That was the National Enquirer of the fifties." Sabrina argues
"You're both cracked." Jess jokes but Sabrina holds her mouth open in response
"Typical guy response. Worship Kerouac and Bukowski, God forbid you'd pick up anything by Jane Austen." Paris rolls her eyes
"Hey, I've read Jane Austen." Jess defensively states
"You have?"
"Yeah, and I think she would've liked Bukowski."
Sabrina bursts out laughing "you are so wrong"
Jess light heartedly rolls his eyes with a small smile on his face and grabs the salt and pepper
"What are you doing" Paris inquires
"Salt and pepper dip. Only way to eat a fry."
"Really?"
"Fast food gospel" Rory says
"Should I?"
"Go crazy Paris" Sabrina pats her on the back encouraging her
"Mm. That's good. That's really, really good."
The phone suddenly rings so Rory gets up to answer it.
"You like hot sauce?" Jess asks Paris
Paris looks over at Sabrina who nods in encouragement and mouths "do it"
After getting into a discussion about poetry, Rory hurriedly walks in.
"Wow, you know, I just noticed the time, and it's getting really late."
"It's seven o clock" Sabrina raises an eyebrow at Rory
"Yes well, I uh" Rory failed at coming up with an excuse
"Who was on the phone" Sabrina questions
"Dean"
"Ah"
"Yeah, I don't know how he would feel about all of this"
"Technically Jess is my guest and I invited Paris to stay so also my guest, he would be crazy to get mad over this"
"I know just things are still rocky between us"
"gee, I wonder why" Jess mutters under his breath
"Look I'll take care of everything, and talk to Dean, this is my house too, he'll have to understand"
"Really?"
"I'll handle everything, I don't want Jess or Paris to leave"
"Okay thank you"
