After sealing the deal with clients. I got out of the coffee shop heaving a tired sigh while massaging my temples to calm myself down . I turned to my P.A and told him to add ajwad's name for monthly overtime.
If he thought he could get away after calling sick to work when I had just saw him rushing out of the house this morning , then he is terribly wrong . And he is so gonna pay for making me work on my day off .
I had planned to go and watch some car racing with malik but he too had ditched me today and as I had nothing to do I went ahead and sealed the deal which ajwad was supposed to do and god were they irritating. Like who in right mind asks if I was single right in middle of sealing a deal .
Seriously I just hate people , like everyone is so annoying , And as I was thinking of how bad my day was going , I spotted her in the crowd, the one and only devil spawn, there she was standing in the crowd wearing a white shirt with jeans and a pair of white sneakers to match with it .
Great just great , only she was left to make my day even more annoying .
But what was she even doing out here, didn't she have classes to attend right now , I thought to myself but then again it was none of my business.
I was about to ignore and leave her as I was in no mood to deal with her right now . But some fucker pushed her making her lose balance and before I knew it .I was near her , holding her by her waist trying to balance her .
I glared at the dude who quickly apologised getting scared and ran off as if he had seen a ghost . Nidha groaned and rubbed her arm while muttering some curses under her breath. I unknowingly took her arm and started rubbing the area where it had reddened a bit .
"Why are you so careless" I scolded her to which she huffed her cheeks while pouting.
"Why do you care old man" she questioned moving her arm out of my grip and stepped away from me while giving me a dirty look.
I scoffed "so much for worrying about her , seriously zahid you should have minded your own business , nothing good happens whenever you encounter this devil spawn" I thought to myself and was about leave when I saw her searching for someone in panic.
And soon enough I felt her tugging my sleeve making me turn around only to find her looking at me with her doe eyes while holding my coat sleeve.
"What" I asked in a cold tone making her flinch but she soon regained her composure and looked at me nervously while muttering something under her breath making me more irritated.
"Speak properly" I spat harshly
"Umm,can you wait he-"
Before she could complete her sentence someone shouted her name making her freeze on the spot . I turned around and saw eshal and malik marching towards us .
"What are you doing here nidha ? Don't you have college? Where are-"
Before she could complete her sentence malik kept his hand over her mouth and whispered something in her ear to which she nodded reluctantly. Weird I thought.
"Umm, haha actually we had half day today as our lab had some technical issues and we couldn't use our instruments"
Nidha answered nervously while clenching her left hand .
Eshal just narrowed her eyes and called some girl named afia from nidha's class making nidha go pale than she already is , if it was possible.
After speaking for a minute eshal nodded her head and smiled at nidha .
"Well looks like you weren't lying but anyways how are you going back because as far as I remember your car is in garage"
"Hmm I can go by bus"
Nidha suggested to which eshal glared at her .
"And get lost" eshal replied sarcastically.
"You won't believe this guys , it has been around 9 years since she came here from saudi but to this day she gets lost in bus . Her sense of direction is literally the worst"
I don't know why but I made a mental note to myself of never sending her alone in a bus .
"Hey I am good with directions while driving car and bike though"
Nidha defended herself to which eshal just scoffed and went on lecturing her .
"Ya right, anyways you are coming with us me and malik will drop you home"
As soon as Eshal completed her sentence malik's face fell as if someone had stolen his favourite candy . He then looked at me with puppy eyes to which I shook my head in denial understanding his request .
But looking at his devastated face which I know he was pretending to show knowing very well I would fall for it . And he was right.
I sighed already regretting my decision but nevertheless continued .
"I will drop her eshal , you both can finish your shopping"
"No zahid bhai , you don't need to worry we will take her along and drop her in the end"
"Yes I will go with didi and jiju , I am not coming with you old man"
As if I am dying to go with you devil's spawn , I thought to myself before secretly pinching her waist making her look at me with a frown to which I side eyed the couple while giving her a look saying "you wouldn't want to be a kabab mai haddi devil's spawn" and thank heavens she finally understood the situation and reluctantly agreed to go with me .
(Kabab mai haddi means thirdweel)
Malik gave me a megawatt smile oozing with gratitude, yep he owes me big time . I was about to go when I saw nidha about to trip on nothing and fall .
For some reason my reflexes are on high alert whenever she is around and like always I held her before she could fall . God why is she so clumsy, I am surprised she lived this long considering how clumsy she is .
I straighten her before taking her shopping bags from her hands , holding it in my one hand and grabbing her hand in my free hand making her widen her eyes in shock . Even malik was looking at me with a amused smile , well I wouldn't have been in this situation if not for him . And it wasn't like I was dying to hold her hand . I just wanted to drop her home and get this shit done with .
Soon we reached my car , I opened the door and made her sit before buckling her seat belt as for some reason I felt like she wouldn't do it .
I sat in the driver seat and drove off asking her the location.

After 10 minutes of drive I stop at the adress she told me and what do I see , A freaking bookstore . I looked at her demanding answers to which she gave me a mischievous smile .
"Well you just asked adress , you didn't specify where's adress and since we are here lets get ameera di's present"
Damn she tricked me , before I could say no and start the engine she hoped of my Rolls Royce and closed the door making me bang my head on the steering wheel before following her inside the store . Malik you surely do owe me a big time .
As soon as we entered the store nidha ran around like a kid in candy store making me chuckle. She sure was cute when she was not acting like a brat .
Not gonna lie she was one fine woman I had ever seen in my life but her bratty personality made it difficult to deal with her , I wouldn't say all the women fawned over me , yes majority of them did , thanks to my wealth and looks but some remained unfaced even after knowing who I was but still were respected me and kept their behaviour in check around me .
But this devil's s spawn was the first one to give zero fucks about who I was , I wouldn't be surprised if acts unbothered even after seeing king Charles in front of her .
I was cut off from my thoughts when nidha started poking my cheek to get my attention. It was really funny to see her standing on a small stool and still tiptoeing to poke my cheeks .
She wasn't very short maybe she was around 5'5 or 5'4 but still compared to my height of 6'3 she looked like a baby .
"What" I asked masking my smile .
"Actually I am confused on which books to buy like di has a 100 + list on her phone notes"
"You went through her phone notes"
"Chill , it isn't a big deal I use my sister's phone all the time when my battery gets low and I know all of their passwords and they don't mind"
She said with a cheeky smile making me shake my head . "This girl was unbelievable"
"Why are you even buying her books in first place"
I asked a genuine question as I knew most of the girls preferred jewellery and makeup as presents , well at least that was the case with my sister's sara and zara .
Nidha just looked at me offended as if I had committed a big crime.
"Hello , did you just ask a Bookgirl, why is she buying a book for another book girl , ajwad might get her grand dress from channel, sara and eshal might get her cosmetics , even ayesha might get her something nice but what Ameera actually loves is books and she would trade anything in this world for it . Those idiots completely forgot about it and since I want my present to be the best one I didn't tell them hehe and do you know the person who gives present cares more than the person receiving it"
Nidha went on ranting and I could see how much she cared about the presents she picked for someone. I hate people who chatter a lot but for some reason I couldn't stop myself from listening to her keenly as if it was the most important thing in the world .
Suddenly she looked at me forwarding her pinky .
"Promise me you won't tell others about my present"
I just gave her a weird look to which she frowned and forcefully took my pinky and interlocked with hers .
"Now that you have promised, you can't break it otherwise I don't know about karma but I will definitely bite you"
"What are you? A dog"
To which she glared at me and bit my cheek taking me by surprise.
"This is for pinching me earlier and calling me a dog"
She said before showing her tongue to me . I just stood there frozen for a moment before tailing behind her and helping her selecting few books based on the cover I liked .

After book shopping Nidha's stomach growled loudly indicating she was hungry so I took her to a restaurant and both of us ate in silence well she did try to talk few times but seeing my dry responses she stopped and silently ate her food .
After finishing our food I was about to pay when nidha gave her card making me frown at her .
"No need , I will pay"
I said in final tone leaving no room for argument to which pouted .
"You should be thankful old man that I am willing to pay eshal di and ameera di would have been suprised to see that I even have a card"
"What about ayesha?"
I asked seeing her huffing and puffing . Oh how badly I wanted to pull those chubby cheeks.
"Well she is my baby so of course she will spend my money"
She said in a duh tone as if it was a matter of fact .
I just shook my head and grabbed her hand before going back to my car .
After about 20 minutes of drive, I saw nidha eyeing a donut shop with sparkly eyes . I sighed and parked in the side before going inside the shop , getting few chocolate donuts and tossing the box on her lap .
"This is for the donuts, I ruined on our first meet"
She just hummed happily before grinning from ear to ear .
Soon after 5 minutes I reached her home and dropped her off and drove off after seeing her get in the house safely.
"Well I guess the day wasn't too bad afterall"
