Today Meadow and I were roaming the streets . Shopping for whatever we needed . Fresh produce and meats . As well as occasional toys and jewelry.
Moving out of the flee markets we headed into the busy city to have some lunch .
Meadow perched on my hip and the bags in my one hand . Walking down the cobblestone path . But I was stopped when Meadow aggressively pulled at my jacket.
Looking down at her " whats wrong baby ?"

" do you want to eat there baby ? " She clapped her hands excitedly and I kissed her cheek as we crossed the street . There was plants everywhere and outdoor seating . I was heading inside when Meadow shifted telling me she wants to be put down .placing the bags on the ground I placed her on the ground . Reaching to hols her hand when she waddled off
" Meadow!" Picking up the bags I catched up to her only to see her hug herself at a man's leg in black trousers

Looking down to see Meadow he smiled and picked her up kissing at her cheeks causing her to giggle
" hey teddy i missed you " he rasped placing Meadow on his thigh .
My heart was beating a mile a minute . I couldn't comprehend this picture of my daughter being so close to this man and how he was so cold to everyone. And here he was smiling at my daughter
Meadow finally remembered I was here
" Mama! " Looking back at me that patted at the chair next to Mr Romano.
Taking the bags I went over to sit down

Chuckling he kissed her forehead . " you could sit with me bambina I don't think teddy would like it if you moved "

" yes my nickname to her and she calls me bear " nodding my head I look around the Cafe not knowing what to say or do . While Mr Romano stared a hole in my skull
Finally stopping he lifted his hand and called a waiter and ordered half the menu
" who's gonna eat all that food ? " I say arching my brow at him
" me and teddy of course , you're sounding like you're not hungry at all " he said with a sassy tone and Meadow hummed in agreement

Its been hours since we've been seated here . Talking , laughing , Mr Romano feeding Meadow who was perched on his thigh . And now she's dead asleep her head in the crook of his neck .
" let me take you home neonata " he spoke after paying the bill
" if it won't cause you any trouble "
Calling his driver we went to stand on the sidewalk and within a few seconds
The driver came and took the bags out of my hands while we got into the car driving home

Once we got to my apartment building Mr Romano took the bags and I took Meadow.
Entering our apartment I went to go put Meadow down in her crib. While Mr Romano put the bags on top of the kitchen counter .
Coming back into the kitchen I saw him sitting by the dinner table and I went over to the bags unpacking all the things and putting them in their right full place . Doing so in comfortable silence .
Once I was done I turned to him
" would like anything?"
" no thank you neonata its getting late I think it's best I leave "
I walked him to the door and he stood outside while I leaned my body on the door frame
" thank you for today Mr Romano "

Parting my teeth open made him tighten his grip on my waist and neck . Our tongues tangling and dancing in rhythm. I don't know how long we kissed but when he pulled away I was dazed .
Smiling down at my face he gave me a quick peck on the lips before leaning over to whisper in my ear .

I drew in a breath as he walked away from me down the hall towards the elevators

The next day
I walked into the office feeling kiddy . I couldn't wait to see Enzo. I didn't know where we stood with us kissing and him being my boss I'd need to talk to him about that
I got into the office to see he hadn't arrived yet . Sorting out documents and typing out I needed for 2 hours i was at least occupying my mind with something

Irritated with me she walked around me and headed towards Mr Romano's office
