You watch as Eren pulls the phone off of his ear and looks over at you past the crowds of people that began to flow in as it got later in the night. His eyes deadlocked with yours as you swirl the drink in your hand, not breaking the eye contact.
The bar tender watched you both intently, she seemed nervous, but you ignored it.
He walks over and puts his hand on your thigh that's crossed over the other leg while you sit in the high bar stool and squeezes it gently, "what are you doing here?" He doesn't play around, he gets straight to the questions.
You look down at his hand before looking back up in his beautiful emerald eyes. You stay quiet, throw back the rest of the drink to the back of your throat letting it burn a bit and stand up. "Where is he?" You also get straight to the questions and begin walking towards the doors you watched Eren walk out of.
As Kenny watched like a fly on the wall, you couldn't tell who he was more intimidated by. You or Eren.
You felt Eren's eyes burning into the back of your head, before he grabs your hand and spins you around. "Where's who? Don't walk away from me," trying to deny that anyone was here. Your eyebrows furrow as he lies with no issue, "so we're lying now?"
You pull your hand out of his and continue walking to the back room, hearing as the door closed and swung open behind you - Eren stayed quiet but let you lead the way. The door shut once more and the music was silenced, all you could hear was the echoes of your heels against the concrete.
You finally came to a heavy metal door with a lock, "open the door" you break the silence with a demand. He doesn't question you, he pulls a few keys out of his pocket and unlocks the door for you before taking a couple steps back.
You grab the handle and push down before hearing the creaking as you slowly opened the door and walked down the last set of stairs and flicked the light on.
Hannes looked at you, "finally...someone with a brain." He exclaimed before Eren cleared his throat and the room went silent again. You peer around the room, wondering how many people have been down here, how many people have died.
Was he really going to kill Hannes?
The chains and ropes in the corner of the room, scattered. Along with cameras at every angle, it gave you goosebumps looking at everything, and the single hanging light right in the middle of the two chairs while the rest of the room was pitch black. One chair that he had Hannes roped and chained up in, and the other I'm assuming is for Eren.
You slowly circle around Hannes and come to a stop behind him, "you have 2 minutes to explain what the fuck is going on."
Eren looked down at his feet, letting out a small huff of air. Hannes laughed, "I told you she was smart. I told you that one day you won't be able to hide this little life of yours."
"What little life? Other than your past coming to haunt me, and the things I knew when I first met you. How many people have you actually killed?" You continue to interrogate him, "look at me Eren!"
He listens and looks at you, his face was dead. There was no emotion left in him at all, "you knew what you signed up for-" you cut him off, "bullshit...you hide everything from me like I'm going to cry and run away. I know what could possibly be happening, but you walk around like none of it does. You have my friends sworn to secrecy."
"Well, it does." He replies.
"What does? Say it, just be honest for once in your life. Do I even know the man I fell in love with?" You question and Hannes laughs, "you don't know the beginning of it. There's what Eren is involved in that you know of, but there's a reason everyone is scared of him love."
Eren looks up and glares at Hannes, but he continues to speak, "do you know how many bodies I've had to clean up down here? There was more than just Porco that he's killed. When deals go bad, or when he finds the people who are watching his team - or more so, who are watching you now."
Your ears perk up, "me?"
"You wanna know things right?" Hannes questions and you reply, "yeah he told me about Reiner and Bertholdt."
"Did he tell you that I met up with Reiner? Why do you think I'm chained up? Or did he just tell you that they were alive?" He continued to rant, "I agree though. I think it's time he tells you just who he is. Because y/n, he loves doing what he does."
You walk back around to face Hannes, and pick up the second chair that was on the floor to sit and cross your leg over the other, "so what did you do to be chained up like this?"
Hannes and Eren both looked at you with wide eyes as you continued to question him, "why would you meet up with Reiner? You know where he stands with Eren, I would probably have you chained here too."
"They offered me 500k to hand you over for Eren killing Porco, a life for a life. They've been watching your every move, they probably know you're down here right now." Hannes replied, "but of course I said no. Eren didn't give me a chance to tell him anything before drugging my drink at the bar last night."
"Last night? You were home?" You stood up in front of Eren and he nods in response to your question. You watch as he examines you, trying to read your thoughts on what's going on here.
Looking deep into his eyes, as he tries to barely keep eye contact with you - you decide to speak up once more, "you let Hannes go, don't be stupid. I've seen enough here, I'm going home." You turn to look at Hannes one last time before walking towards the door, "but what about Reiner?" Eren finally speaks.
You shrug, "either kill or be killed right?" The door slams behind you not giving anyone a second to respond.
Although it made you feel uneasy to know Hannes was so willing to go to meet Reiner, you also knew something more had to have happened for him to agree. At this point, you didn't trust anyone either way. Everyone is your enemy.
You make it back through the double doors, and 'Praise God by Kanye West' began to blare through the crowded club. Lights were flashing different colors as everyone danced up on each other, living life care free, unknowing of the horrors that happen below them.
To be that person again, clueless and drunk in a club.
You stop to check your phone, it's 11:06pm, and you have a couple missed calls from Sasha and Annie. You send them a quick text letting them know you're okay and on your way home.
You look up to see that bartender eyeing you again and you watch as she glances over behind your shoulder. You turn around and see Eren, and begin walking away. He grabs your shoulder, "what did I tell you about walking away from me?"
"I just want to go home," you whine "it's been a very very long day." You had no energy to argue anymore, you truly just wanted to lay in your bed.
"Let me walk you to your car," softening his voice, he grabs your chin to lift your head and places a few soft kisses on your forehead. Your eyes close as you relax in his grasp and take in every kiss.
"Why has that bartender been watching since I walked through those doors, who is that?" You peer over and see she's still taking long glances at the two of you. Eren looks over at her and looks down at you, "she's the new hire. Tried hitting on me earlier, found out I was her boss and now found out that you are mine."
You shake your head slightly, "woah she was hitting on you?" Eren lets out a breathy laugh, "relax my love - it ended as quickly as it started. Let's get to your car."
He grabs your hand and begins to guide you as you trailed behind him. Watching as the girl stared as you both walked off together, she was being so obvious about it - it was creepy or just really suspicious. You couldn't quite put your finger on it, but something was off.
He takes you into the garage, "why didn't you have valet just come bring me the car?" You question as you hear the echoes of your voice swarming in and around the luxury cars.
"Because I've barely seen you all day, am I not allowed to walk with my girlfriend?" His attitude and sarcasm wasn't needed but you roll your eyes and reply, "yes you are I was just asking."
He laughs as he stops over at his car first, "hold on I need a sip of my water."
"Why so you can go back in and yell at Hannes some more? You need to let him go." You lean up against his car and watch as he pulls out his water bottle and he lets out a soft laugh, "I'm gonna let him go."
He shuts his door and stands in front of you, blocking you in. Goosebumps cover your body as he looks down at you with his green eyes, "what?" You ask trying to break the tension but it still lingered. He lifts your chin and presses his lips on yours.
Your eyes shut as you embrace all of him, feel all of him. Wrapping your arms around his neck, he picks you up and sets you on the back of his car keeping you comfortable. Your legs wrap around his waist as you sit there. Tongues colliding, and he pulls away begins to kiss your neck, "Eren - not here."
He mumbles through each kiss, and you try saying the same thing again but he stops you by pressing his lips on yours once more.
You groan and pull away, "we're in a public garage."
"I don't care, I haven't been able to kiss you all day." He groans back but you shake your head, "I know but you know I haven't seen you in weeks...this will lead to more. I'd rather security not get a free porno."
He places his palms on each side of you and kisses you once more, "fine - let's get to your car. Want some water?"
You grab the water and take a few sips, before hopping down and grabbing his hand to walk towards your car once again. It was a little ways away and you both walked in silence, but only because you both were horny now.
After a few minutes you press the key to unlock your car and turn to look at Eren but everything was fuzzy, "I feel funny."
Eren was dead faced again, just looking at you.
You raise an eyebrow and get angry as you feel your muscles weaken, trying to fight it but it was damn near impossible at this time. Then you remembered, you drank from his water bottle.
"What the fuck did you do to me Eren?" You quietly said before falling into his chest and watching as everything around you went black.
"You'll be okay."
