Lisa sat on her brother's sofa, chilling with him and his friends. She surfs the internet, searching for some furniture pieces to go into her new house while they sat at the poker table playing cards.

Lalisa or Lisa loves her brother and his family, but she's happy that she now has the keys to her new place, which means she would no longer be his housemate or sometimes roommate.

It was hard work going from a condo in downtown Las Vegas to staying with her brother Bambam, his wife Rosé and kids in the Colorado suburbs.

Of course, she could've stayed with their parents, but that was the last thing she wanted. Indeed, she's an adult, but their parents still had strict rules.

Releasing an audible breath, she closed her laptop as she concluded her online shopping for the day. As the sole possessor of a flourishing home building company, Lisa is far from being broke, but sometimes she got carried away with online shopping.

With her laptop closed, she tuned back into the real world, paying attention to her surroundings, which comprised her brother Bambam and his friends who were in a deep conversation.

"So, she called off the wedding the day before it, and she hasn't talked to you since? Hasn't it been a full month?" Bambam asked his friend Kai.

"Yes, and I would feel bad, but I'm not the only one she's done this too. I'm the third. I'm just glad she gave me a heads up before the wedding, which she hadn't done to the previous ones." Kai admitted.

"So, that means something, doesn't it? If she didn't want to embarrass you as she had done with the others, I believe that means she has some feelings for you that she didn't have with them. Am I right?" Mino, Bambam's another friend added.

All the others agreed, cheering Kai on as they encourage him to 'fight for what was his'.

"You need to put on your big boy pants. See she's the type of woman who needs to be told what to do!" Mino added, slapping Kai's hand as he agreed.

Lisa couldn't help but shake her head at the pitiful scene before her. It was ridiculous! Fight for what was his? A woman who needs to be told what to do?! Men were constantly gassing up their friends in the direst ways. "Ugh, where was the 'give her space' advice or 'show her how much you truly care'?", she hissed.

Lisa joined them at the table, prepared to combat the awful advice Kai was taking in with some advice much more logical. "Who is this fiancée of yours... well, former fiancée?"

"Jennie. You remember her? She was your best friend at one point. You were close before she left school." Bambam answered.

"Oh!" Lisa frowned. "Jennie? As in Jennie Kim?" Lisa spoke softly, as memories of the lovely brunette floods her mind.

"Yeah. She's fine now unlike in high school. She's everything and more. She's a real estate agent." Kai showed Lisa Jen's business card, which displayed a picture of her on it.

Lisa stared at the card sitting on the table, the smile that Jennie wore in the picture warms her heart. No matter how surprising and abrupt the ending was for them, Jennie would hold a place in her heart forever. She was the one.

She licked her dry lips, pulling her eyes away from the business card, hoping that they hadn't caught her ogling at the picture.

Lisa cleared your throat. "I believe I know why she's leaving so many of you at the altar." Then she spoke up.

Kai looked at her, his eyebrows lifted. "What do you know about relationships?" He asked in an aggravated manner.

She just shrugged her shoulders." Well, I know enough to know when someone is gay and is suppressing it. Jennie Kim is a gay woman. She was back in school, so I assume she's still running from her truth."

"Jennie is not gay!" Kai yelled out. "Just because you're gay doesn't mean all girls are. You're one out of many. Don't flatter yourself. I'm sure if Jen was gay, she would've been said something about it."

"Not if she's hiding it and is afraid to admit it." Lisa countered. "I went to school with her just like each of you. The only difference is I shared a lot of classes with her, and I may have inside knowledge about it."

Bambam's eyes widen, understanding just what you meant by 'inside knowledge'. "Are you positive?" He asked. "That's a long time to be hiding."

"Trust me, I agree." Lisa picked up the playing cards off the table, shuffling them. "I figured she would have come out by now, but you know everyone has their own time, which is why none of you should say anything about it."

"Of course, we won't say anything about it because it isn't true!" Kai opposed with laughter. "If Jennie was gay, I'm sure I of all people would know about it. She's been my girlfriend for the last year, and my fiancée for the last nine months."

'A year, wow that's a long time.' Lisa thought in your head sarcastically. Try knowing her for nine years and being with her for four of them. And she still had a bunch of unanswered questions for Jennie.

"No offense to you, but maybe you hadn't realized it because you haven't been paying attention. She left you for a reason, and it's because she's gay."

"Are you questioning me as a spouse? I'm hot, have a good job, and I'm good in bed. I'm every girl's wildest dream. Jennie just has her own problems she has to learn how to handle, starting with how she spends her free time."

Lisa squinted her eyes at Kai. He just didn't get it. No matter how hot or amazing he thought he was, it didn't matter because he wasn't Jen's type.

"She has a point." Bambam added. "You're the third guy she's done this too, so either you all are horrible spouses, or she's gay."

"...Or all of the above." Lisa mumbled, which caught Kai's attention. He stood up angrily, hovering over her with a glare in his eyes.

"You think you could do better than I could do? If Jennie was gay, you could get her to marry you, right?"

"Perhaps. I've always had a crush on her, so I don't think it would be that hard." Lisa spoke, refusing to add in the part where she once had a four- year-long relationship with her.

"Then let's make a bet. I bet you can't get Jennie to marry you. Let's say in the next few weeks?"

Everyone at the table laughed, shaking their head at the stupid bet Kai had proposed.

"What?! That's a fair bet. Jennie said yes to me after three months, so if she's gay, she should be able to accept a woman's proposal quicker than that."

"She's still in the closet." Lisa opposed. "I wouldn't want to force her to come out when she's not ready. She should come out on her own time."

"Coward!" Kai yelled at her. "If you were so sure she was gay, you could do it."

"Coward? I'm far from it." Lisa stood up from the chair, her height meeting his.

"I'll win Jen's heart, and I'm going to make her the happiest girl in the world, something you clearly couldn't do." She folded her arms, staring Kai down.

"What are we betting on?" Kai challenged with a smirk on his face.

Lisa yanked his car keys off the table. "Your lovely car. I've always wanted an i8." She smiled at the dangling keys.

"What if I win, what do I get?"

"You won't win the bet, but you could have anything your little heart desires."

"Then I want a stake in your home building company once and for all?" Kai smirked.

Since moving back to their hometown, Kai had been trying his hardest to persuade Lisa into allowing him to buy a stake at her company. She turned him down just like she did with everyone else.

Kai, like the others who wanted a piece of her home building company knew what was to come for Lisa in the future. If Lisa keeps working hard, she's destined to be the number one home building company bringing in hundreds of millions.

"Deal then." Lisa shook Kai's hand with a wide smile.

"Game on." She snatched the business card up from the table, looking at Jennie's business information.

"You say Jen is a real estate agent. Well, I need her help." Lisa smirked, walking away with the card.
