[Sausage POV]
I had received wind of a village to the far north side of Empires. It apparently appeared overnight.. hm. The whole 'gist' of this town was so everyone could find a gift for each other.
Seeing this, I immediately messaged Fwhip on the communicator.
[Communicator]
good boi sausage: fwhipppp!!
Count fWhip: hi
good boi sausage: wanna go to that holiday village place?
Count fWhip: sure! meet you at the entrance?
good boi sausage: yep! see you there!
[Fwhip POV]
I said my goodbye before hurrying out my house and taking flight. I had a rough idea of where the village was. It was a little ways past Gem's empire, in the snowier cliffs and in a plateau.
After a short but cold flight, I saw the village in the distance. It had a warm, but fun and festive feel to it. Flying closer to it, I could now make out a few of the players there; Gem was giving Katherine her coat, Scott was with Jimmy, Shelby was talking with Lizzie, and Sausage stood just outside the gate into the village.
I landed, now running over to Sausage at the gates. His wings were wrapped around him for warmth, as well as wearing a shawl with a hood over his head.
Noticing me, he waved a quick hello with his wing before beckoning me over and into the village. Walking into the village, I quickly realized how popular the place seemed to be. There were small groups of people gathered next to stores and benches. Some hybrids I could only see being from Joey's Empire.
Sausage gave me a quick glance before quickly turning to stand in front of me. "So, where 'you wanna go first?" He said happily, nudging his wing to a few of the stores.
I looked around, trying to see the options we had. "Uhmm-" I noticed Lizzie parting ways with Shelby and quickly called out for her. "Lizzie-! Over here!" Her gills perked up before turning around and noticing us. She hurried over, her tail swished in the air slightly.
"Hello! What's up?"
She said cheerfully as she looked at both me and Sausage. "We heard about this village and thought we'd show up!" Sausage paused, "Do you know any good stores here?" He said in a hushed mutter.
Lizzie perked up at this, "Oh yeah! I assume you wanna get presents for each other?" She said, putting her hand in front her face as if to hide her saying something.
"Uh-" Lizzie cut me off, "Well there's a store just over there that I think you two will like!" Lizzie chimed, pointing towards a store that was quite crowded.
I still wanted to say something, but Sausage piped in with a energetic smile, "Great! We'll go there now-!" I gave him a look before pushing me towards the store ever so slightly. "Thank you, Liz!" She waved a quick wave before walking off towards a fountain close by.
We jogged our way towards the store. It was decorated differently than the other stores, having warmer tones and ivy sprawling across the walls. There was a large sign, although cracked down the center, it read 'Violet Stop'. We squeezed our way in between the crowds to the entrance. It was surprisingly busy outside, but quiet and empty inside.
I shrugged it off as I watched Sausage Hurry over to look around, darting from spot to spot almost in a flash. I noticed a display wall of armor and shoulder pads, thinking it would be a good gift for Sausage, I walked over to it and looked at them all.
[Sausage POV]
As I darted around the store, I noticed a stand with various scarves and hats all perched up. I hurried over to it and looked at some. Fwhip had needed a new scarf, since it got pretty torn after the explosion.
I found one that was just and red as the one he had and took it. I looked at the tag and saw it was made of blood sheep wool as well, all the more better! I wrapped my shawl around it to hide it before speed-walking towards the counter and purchase it.
"Hello! How much is this?" I said in a hushed, cheerful tone. The cashier looked up at me before smiling a hello, "Sure-! It's $24 I believe..." She looked down at a document, presumably with all the prices on it.
I immediately slapped a few coins onto the table. "I'll take it then!" The person nodded, taking the money and handing the scarf back in a red bag before wishing a quick farewell.
[Fwhip POV]
Finding the armor, I looked at the price printed on the side of the wall next to it. It read: "$150 Per Set'. Seeing the startling price, I realized that it was $150 for the whole set. I knew Sausage liked pauldrons [Armor for the shoulders], so I tried to find a pair.
After a short time, I found a pair that looked good. It was a fine $50, so I grabbed them and went to the cashier to buy.
"Hello-! Uhm, can I buy these?" I asked quietly. "Oh for sure!" She said happily, taking them from me. "You're actually lucky, we just got them at %50 precent off. That's why they are so cheap." She said in a hushed but excited tone. "Well that explains it." I put my hand on my chin as I wore an anxious smile.
[Sausage POV]
I noticed Fwhip finish up his purchase as the cashier put it in a purple bag. I beckoned Fwhip to follow me as I walked out the door, only to be reminded about how crowded it was. Fwhip clearly wasn't expecting it either, as he followed me a little to quickly and pushed up against me, making me push a little further into the crowd. "Ack-!" I tumbled back, almost falling only for Fwhip to hurry and keep me from falling.
"S-Sorry-!!" He said awkwardly, flushing a shade of pink.
I gave him a anxious smile before helping myself up. "I-it's fine-!" I repeated quietly as I pushed myself a little ways closer to him and away from the crowd.
We paused for an awkward bit before scooting our way outside and away from the crowd.
"Well- Now that we got our gifts... Wanna head to your place?" I said in a muttered tone.
"Sure! C'mon." He said happily as he turned to the exit of the village, stretching his wings to take flight. I followed his lead, stretching my feathered wings and leaping up into the sky, letting my wings glide up.
I turned to see Fwhip fly up after me, his wings folding a slight in the air.
[pshh pff you know how this goes, TIME SKIP!]
We reached Fwhip's house and empire, I took a moment to admire the holiday decor before stepping inside, closing the door behind me. Despite the outside looking nice and festive, the inside wasn't as decorated. Only a few flicks of festivity spattered across his home.
I walked inside, following Fwhip's lead as he went to the kitchen and put down his bag. I did the same, putting my gift for him down, still hidden as my shawl was wrapped around it.
"Want some tea?" I asked, holding up a mug. He nodded quickly, taking a seat at the small, rounded table he had. Eventually, I finished the tea and put the mug down onto the table, making another cup of tea. "Thank you," He said, sipping it quickly as I used my wings as a sort of blanket.
***Timeskip cuz lazy + Fwhip POV***
Sausage eventually finished making the tea and sat down across from me, grabbing his gift for me with his wings, hiding it in between himself and his wings. I grabbed my gift to him, before asking, "So, wanna give them now?" He nodded, "Yes, yes!" I gave a quick smile before looking down at my gift before handing it to him as he handed his over.
"You go first," I said quickly, looking up at him as I took another drink of my tea. "K..!" He said, looking down at my gift and taking it out the purple paper bag. It was a pair of pauldrons!
He smiled happily, "OOoo! Thank you, thank you!" He said quickly, taking them and fitting them on. Once doing so, he hopped up happily, placing his hands on his hips. "Thanks, bud!" He sat down as I smiled a 'you're welcome'. "Now open yours!" He said excitedly.
"Alright alright-" I said, looking down at it as I lifted it out the red bag it was placed it. It was a red scarf, not as damaged as mine was now. "Oh-!" I smiled happily at it before glancing up at Sausage. "Thanks!" I wrapped it around my neck, taking the old one off as Sausage smiled warmly.
"Great well, thank you for that, uhmm.. hope to see you later?" Sausage said after a short while of us talking. "Yep, cya! Have a good holidayyy!" I said cheerfully, waving him a goodbye as he walked out the door.
As he walked out, he gave a fake-out fall backwards which scared me a bit. He gave a laugh before hopping right back up and saying a goodbye, flying off into the now snowy sky.
That was fun.
