Virat woke up to see Aarya clinging to him like he was a teddy bear.
"Aarya, bacha?" He said patting her cheeks.
"Mmmmm" she groans in sleep!
"Get up kiddo!"
"Sone do na bhaii!"
"It's 8.30 get up abhi!"
"I am sleepyyy! Let me sleep no bhaiiii!!!"
"Sleep in the afternoon, come on her up! We have to go for breakfast!!!!"
"Ughhhh finee! Mean!" She said getting up making faces at him.
"That's like my girl!" He said pulling her in a hug.
She curled up in that hug! He kissed her forehead, Aarya had a small smile.
"Go freshen up! Goo!"
Sensing no response he tilted his head and leaned sideways to see her fallen asleep! He shaked his head.
He splashed water on her face!
"Bhaiiiiii!" She whined
"Get up, or else I'll pour one more glass!" He warned
"Mean, you aree!"
"Say whatever you want! Go freshen up!"
"Going! Huh!!" She said getting up from the bed!
Virat just shaked his head at her antics.
They went down for breakfast.
Aarya was still grumpy.
They joined the table where Mahi and Rohit were waiting for them.
"Finally!" Rohit said.
"Good morning cheeku! Good morning Aarya!"
"Good morning bhaiii!" He said
"Good morning Mahi!" She said in a bit irritated voice.
Mahi raised his eyebrow at that
"Someone's grumpy today!" Ro said
"No!"
"What's wrong?" Ro asked
"He didn't let me sleep!" She complaint pointing at Virat
Virat narrowed his eyes.
"Nothing new Aarya! He never lets anyone sleep! He has problem with sleep! He wakes me up from my peaceful sleep! Splashing water, ice and what not!" Ro said in a teasing tone.
"Correct! Totally with you!" Aarya joined him
Virat widened his eyes and his mouth open seeing her teaming up with Ro!
"Hawww!" Virat whined
"He splashed water on me also! Mean!!"
"He na always does that!"
"Nind ka dushman!" Ro said
"Shut up both of you!" Virat said annoyed
Mahi was laughing enjoying the show.
"It's the truth bhaii!" Aarya said
"Ya truth! I'll show you what truth is!" He said smacking her head lightly.
"Owwww!"
"We'll take revenge bhai!" Aarya said looking Rohit.
"Definitely! Let's plan!" He said shaking hands with her as if making a deal.
Virat rolled his eyes at them.
Both of them burst out laughing.
"You too Bhai?" He made a sad face seeing him laughing.
"Aww you look cute when you are angry!" Aarya said pulling his cheeks.
"She's right Cheeku, you do look cute!" Mahi said joining her.
"Bhaiiiiii!" He whined
"Okay fine! Come here!" He said opening his arms to which Virat threw himself in it.
They had their breakfast bickering and teasing each other.
Later Rohit dragged Mahi with him.
"Kiddo? Wanna go for a walk at Marine Drive?"
"Sure Bhai!"
They stood facing the sea admiring it!
"The sea is quite today!" Aarya said
"Yes, Aaru it is!"
Aarya rested her head on his shoulder and stared at the sea with a small smile.
"Bacha?"
"Haan Bhai?"
"You are really ready for this?"
"I am bhai! I am ready!"
"Sure na kiddo? You aren't doing this under pressure?"
"No bhai! I am fully ready for this! No pressure! I have realised Mahi is the person for me and...and.. the conversation we had the last night, I saw sincerity in his words. The fear is gonna be there, but I have realised and trust ki he is not same!" Aarya said
Virat had tears in his eyes, he cupped her cheeks and said
"I am happy for you kiddo, I assure you you will find the happiness and peace you deserve with him. He loves you alot kiddo, it's evident in his eyes."
"I know bhaii! I am happy now! I can see a ray of hope, a light in the darkness of my life!"
"My lil sister is so grown up!"
"I am still going to be your Lil sister, that's never gonna change, even if I want to! Only you have the right on me, no one else is allowed to have that right!"
Virat pulled her in a hug.
"Aaru, I am gonna always be there with you no matter what! Never get this thing in mind that I left!" Virat said looking at her in the hug.
"I know bhai! You have always been there for me even though I hurt you!" She said tears forming.
"Shshh bachaa no crying abhi! You never hurt me! And don't think about that time! It's gone, now you have a beautiful future to look ahead to! I love you bachaa! My life without my baby sister is nothing!" He said
"Bhai, mine too Bhai! It's just black space without my big bro present! I love you too Bhai! I feel the safest and protected with your presence! In those 2 years I felt as if someone snatched my safety cover! But then I realised it was me who did that by leaving you!" She said choking on her tears
"Aaru bacha, what did I just say? Don't stress yourself by thinking about the past! I know it's difficult for you but try and erase those 2 years! Try and think about good memories!"
Aarya smiled looking at him.
Virat kissed her forehead and wiped her tears.
"Bhai, let's go to that coffee shop na?" Aarya asked pointing towards the shop across the road.
"Why? You just had coffee na?"
"But cold coffee there is so good! Just craving to have one! Let's go na please 🥺!" She said giving puppy eyes
"Aaru bachaa but.." he started but was cut off.
"Please na! You are nice na! Pweez!" She pleaded with puppy eyes trying to convince him.
"Huh fine!"
"Yaya! I love you for this!" She squealed pulling his cheeks.
"Huh, nautanki!" He commented
She gave a wide smile to it
"Wait! Let's walk a bit, we'll take it on the way back!"
"Okayyyyy!"
"Bhai? Remember when we came to Mumbai as kids, this was our favourite spot?"
"Yes Aaru! Eating ice cream, staring at the sea, so much Masti!"
"Yeah and dad used to take us for night drives, long ones, we hardly slept then, puri raat Masti!"
"Yeah Aaru! Mom used to be so annoyed, let's rest and all! But dad was too enthusiastic for that!"
"Haha yess! Let's recreate those memories na?"
"Let's do this!"
"It would be funn!" Aarya exclaimed
"Definitely!"
"I sometimes miss them so much!"
"Me too kiddo!"
"When are we going home?" Aarya asked
"Next week!" He said
"Actually waiting to get home!"
"Me too kiddo, just waiting!" Virat said lost.
Aarya gave a questioning look to him
"I was out playing matches na!" He lied
"Acha!"
"Bhai, let's go na!"
"Go where?"
"Are tour pe! City tour as we did then!"
"Chalo, but before that let's change freshen up!"
"Okayy! The coffee?"
"Let's start the tour with our favourite coffee place?"
"Barista??" She gave a 440 volt smile
"Yes barista!"
"Okayyyyyyyyy!"
They headed back to hotel.
After freshening up, they left for the tour.
"Bhai look at that shop, it was maa's favourite ice cream shop!"
"Oh yes it was! I never liked ice from that shop!"
"Same!!"
"Let's try on our return, I heard it's changed now!"
"Done!!!"
They roamed the city visiting their favourite places relieving the memories of childhood. Visiting their favourite restaurants, Virat ignored his diet for today. All he wanted was a day with his lil sister. He felt content and happy seeing her laughing and smiling and enjoying her life like a child.
After a whole day of shopping eating and roaming they returned.
"Bhai today was fun!" She exclaimed
"You enjoyed na bacha?"
"Yes bhai! Alot!"
"Good!" He said
"Thank you Bhai!"
"Kya bola? Thank you? Huh?" He said looking at her dangerously.
"Uhhhhhh!" She said slipping away.
But before she could slip away he held her and started tickling. Which soon turned into a pillow fight.
Just then Ro and Mahi entered and saw them wrestling.
Ro started shooting and Mahi gave him a questioning look.
"Just capturing them laughing and enjoying! Seen him this happy and khulke enjoying after so long!" Ro said
"You are right Ro!" Mahi smiled
In the fight a pillow hit Mahi that's when they realised them in the room.
"Mahi Bhaii!! When did you come?" Virat asked
"Just now cheeku!" He said giving a warm smile.
"How was your day Vi?" Ro asked
"It was amazing Ro! We went to all our favourite places in the city! The places where we used to visit when we were kids!"
"You enjoyed na cheeku?" Mahi asked
"Yes bhai!" He answered.
Mahi hugged both of them.
Mahi looked at her with so much love in his eyes.
She hugged him.
Rohirat were so happy for them.
Rohit coughed to get them back from their world
They looked down shyly.
"Cheeks?" Mahi called
"Yes bhai?"
"Come out in the balcony na!'
"Why bhai?"
"I need to talk to you about something!"
"Okay!"
They go to the balcony.
"Cheeku! I wanted to ask if I can take Aarya for a short vacation? I want to keep this a surprise only if you are okay with it?" He asks and looked at him a bit scared waiting for his answer.
