No one's POV:
Today is the day of 7 year old Diego's birthday, or well, the day before his birthday. The 7 year old boy was thinking about what his birthday might be, what it would look like, what kind of cake it is or what it would look like, what kind of his presents, he'll get.
But honestly, none of that matters because he mostly wants to spend his birthday with his family because that is truly what he wants. Anyway, he quickly got ready for bed and fell asleep as he happily dreamed about his 8th birthday.

"Hey, Mi amor! I thought of something awesome," Nico explained as Sabrina, the love of his life brushing her hair with a brush.
"Oh really, and what's that?" Sabrina asked.
"I was thinking about we can do a surprise birthday party for Diego, but there is a twist, how about we prank him as we prepare the surprise party, sounds like a plan?" Nico asked happily with a smile, but however, Sabrina stopped brushing her hair, put the brush down, and slowly looked at her husband with a glare.
"Give me one good reason why I shouldn't strangle you and cut off your air?" Sabrina asked as she was glaring.
Nico smiled innocently.
"Because you love me?" Nico asked sweetly, which made Sabrina sigh.
"I don't want to prank our son on his birthday. That would be wrong to do, and we'll be bad parents if we do," Sabrina explained.
"It's just one little prank," Nico tried convincing but—
"And my fist is gonna be one little hit," Sabrina said with a glare.
"Come on, please, just this one time!" Nico begged as he was showing the puppy dog eyes, Sabrina let out a sigh as she knew that her husband wasn't gonna let this go until she agreed.
"Fine," Sabrina said, sighing.
"What's the prank?" Sabrina asked, and her husband whispered the prank idea in her ear, then she gave her husband a look.

In Daisy's bedroom, both girls, Daisy and Alicia, were playing a card game, but then, there was a knock on the door, and the door opened.
Their eyes widened once they saw their father with a nose bleed, but however, he smiled like there was nothing wrong.
"Girls, would you like to help me and Mami prank your brother on his 8th birthday?" Nico asked His two daughters, but they just stared, then they gave each other a worried expression.
"I think there is something mentally wrong with our Papi," Alicia said as Her big sister, Daisy, completely agreed.

Today is the day of the birthday's boy, from the moment he had woken up from his slumber, he was excited, he was excited about his birthday, he wondered everything about his birthday.
So, he immediately got ready, took a shower, brushed his teeth, got dressed, and then he ate his breakfast. With a big smile on his face, he walked into the living room, there was a family, his parents and two sisters were sitting on the couch,
That is where the prank had started, along with a plan...
"It's time to clean the house," Sabrina announced as she got up from her seat. Diego's smile dropped into a confused expression, He titled his head as he watched his family start to clean the house, but he just shrugged it off and started to do cleaning chores.

Each of them had a task to do, Diego's task was to fix the beds, as he was finishing making his bed, out of his corner of his eye, there was his two sisters, Daisy and Alicia with disappointment expressions on their faces, which worried Diego.
"Did you see how the way he made the beds?" Daisy asked.
"Yeah! It was so horrible!" Alicia said back while glaring at Diego.
"Huh—" Diego tried asking but—
"
You know hermano, your work can do so much better! I mean, you are now 8, so start working like an 8 year old!" Daisy explained with her voice raised a little.
"What—" Diego tried asking but—
"And how could you break our parents' wedding dishes!?" Alicia asked while being "furious. "
"But I didn't—" Diego tried defending, but—
"And how dare you steal our stuff! Those are our stuff, not yours!" Alicia growled.
Tears were in Diego's eyes. He couldn’t believe he was being accused of something he would never have done. He would never do a poor job of making the beds. He would never break his parents' wedding dishes. He would never steal from his sisters.
His parents and sisters mean everything to him, and he woke up on his birthday to be accused of this!?
Emotions were all over Diego. Without thinking, he ran over to the door, shut the door, and locked it, then he curled up into a ball and started to cry his eyes out. This is not how his birthday should be treated...
However, the prank didn't end there...
Outside of the door, Diego can clearly hear the conversation between his two sisters...
'What an irresponsible brother of ours!' Daisy faked cried.
'All can he do is cause trouble!' Alicia said.
'I wondered why our parents adopted a troubled kid like him!?' Daisy asked.
And just like that, Diego broke from there...
Adopted...
He was adopted...
How can that be?
Wasn't he a real Márquez?
If not, then who are his real parents!?
There were so many questions. He was just too shocked to even think, he couldn't believe that the family he grew up with was actually his adopted family, and just like that, he snapped, he decided he had enough with this untold truth about who he really is...

Meanwhile, everyone was preparing the birthday party, they got out the party decorations, the food, the presents, and the cake. Sabrina was preparing the cake, and Nico and the two girls were decorating everything. Everything was according to the plan.
In Diego's room, he snapped, and without thinking, he packed up his things, his stuff, his everything, but before he left, he wrote a note to his family. He snuck out of his window without getting caught and managed to climb down safety.
He turned his head to see his home...or he thought it was his home until it was just all a big lie, he remembered the memories that he can remember, those were the best, but it was all just
A lie...
He remembers one of his favorite book series, Percy Jackson series. He felt like he was in Annabeth Chase's situation. At the age of 7, she ran away from her family, and that is how he felt.
He was 7 years old, Annabeth Chase, ready to run away, but even though it was two different reasons, he felt like he was running away with Annabeth Chase, ready to go to camp half-blood.
He blinked away his tears and started to run. He had no idea where he was gonna go, but he was gonna go somewhere, somewhere but at that home...

"Adopted? Who's idea was this!?" Sabrina asked sternly at her two daughters, and immediately, they pointed at their father.
And just like that, Sabrina went after her husband, as the cake was baking in the oven, and the girls watched their mother chase their father around who was ready to kill him.
"We're ready for our payment, Papi!" Daisy called out.
"Go and get your brother!" Sabrina said.
Daisy went over to her brother's bedroom door and knocked on the door. But there was no response, and Daisy wasn't gonna wait around for her brother, so she walked in, but she was surprised when the room was empty.
On the bed, there was a yellow sticky note on Diego's bed. She walked over, and her eyes widened once she read the note.
'I'm sorry for being a troubled boy, I know the truth now, I'm leaving, I'm sorry, but I need to find my real family, again, I'm so sorry, I love you all,'
Immediately, Daisy ran out of the room, and she let everyone know that Diego had run away, Nico, Sabrina, and Alicia were shocked about this...
The prank went too far...
Sabrina hit her husband on the back of his head.
"I knew pulling a prank like this was not gonna work!" Sabrina growled.
"Let's try contacting him by video calling," Nico said while crying in pain as he was rubbing the back of his head.
And just like that, Alicia started to contact her brother with her watch, but there was no answer. It was disconnected. Now, Sabrina started to worry. She glared at her husband, and he quickly pulled out his phone in where he was a tracking app on his phone, and he managed to track down Diego's watch, then he made a phone call to someone...

As Diego was walked into the deep rain forest, thinking about...well, why he was an adopted child, all he could hear was animals, the sounds of nature, a gently breeze blowing through his hair and actually was drying his tears that were falling down his cheeks.
Diego had mashed his watch out of any because he was lied to from his family, but no matter, they probably never wanted him anyway. But then, there was a cry, he stopped and listened, there was a cry for help, immediately his rescue instincts kicked in, and he immediately ran over to wherever the cry was coming from.
His heart dropped when he saw an all dressed man in all black with a mask on His face, where Diego could only see his eyes had a baby sloth in a net.
Blood boiled into Diego.
"HEY! LET HIM GO!" Diego screamed out very angrily, but mask man just looked at him, then started to run away, Diego growled, he became sad to angry real fast, he got it from his mother...or the woman who he thought was his mother...
Then he started to chased the criminal, Diego had no idea where the criminal was going but he didn't cared, all he cared was the little sloth was getting kidnapped and bringing the poor animal to safety again.

He felt like it was forever, he was chasing after this criminal, he didn't even paid attention to his surroundings, all he cared about was that poor animal.
He kept on running, he kept on running until he ran into complete darkness, he stopped, and realized of where he was, somewhere that is dark.
Before he could think, there were lights, he jumped as he saw party decorations all over, balloons, a piñata, food/snacks, and a gaint birthday cake and finally, there were singing, the song, happy birthday to you~
He looked and saw his family, his parents, and his sistera wearing birthday hats, and Sabrina put a blue crown on his head. Diego burst into tears as his family hugged him, and Diego saw the masked criminal which turned out to be his Abuelo, had a huge bowl of strawberries.
Diego loved strawberries, he immediately grabbed one and started to angrily munching on it, while his family explained to him that it was all a prank, but Diego was still a little angry at them.
"Give me prove that I am not adopted!" Diego commanded, Sabrina looked up at Nico ordering him to get Diego's birth certificate, in which he did, and when Diego saw it, he hugged his Mami tightly in which his Mami hugged him back.
Then his birthday cake was brought to him, with the candles lid up, but before he blew his candles out—
"Who's idea to prank me?" Diego asked.
"Your father," Sabrina answer quickly, and just like that, for the taste of revenge, Diego quickly mashed his father's face into the cake which everyone laugh, with Diego feeling satisfied with his revenge on his father.
