"The Beat-Broke Friend" (Diego & Burgin)

Diego's POV:

Today, My Friend Burgin came over at My Home with His Family, Himself, His Mom and Step-dad. Burgin doesn't really talk about His own personal life about Both of His parents but He does talk about His Mom alot then His Step-Dad, All Burgin said about His Step-dad is that, He is pretty moody and Grumpy at times for no reason at times, His Biological Father actually died when He was 6 years old, His Stepfather came into Him and His Mon's life when He was 7. Burgin and His Family will be staying over at The Town that was close to The Rainforest for a couple of nights.

I remember last night Juma told Me that He was on a video call with Burgin last week and Juma told Me that Burgin somehow having a black-eye, Juma said that Burgin ran into a door and cause Burgin to get a black-eye.

In the back of My head was telling Me that something wasn't right but I think I am being a little paranoid. Anyways, Both Me and Burgin are in My room and We were looking through My science book and looking at all of The pictures that Me and My Family took.

Both Me and Burgin giggled as We looked at one of The funny pictures, I looked Up and I looked at Burgin. I noticed that There was a bruise on The side of His head but His Hair was covering it mostly.

I heard footsteps was walking towards My bedroom and I realized that It was Luca. Both Me and Burgin looked at Luca.

"Squeak!" Luca Squeaked

"Oh Look, It's an adorable Baby Marquez" Said Burgin

I smiled at Burgin.

"May I help You, Pequeña?" I Asked

"Hey Diego, Didn't Mami told You to wash The dishes earlier?" Asked Alicia.

"Uh...oh..." I Said

"You might wanna do it before Mami come Home or You'll be in big trouble" Said Alicia.

Alicia walked away and Luca followed Alicia.

"Oh Man...I guess You are really in for it, Aren't You?" Asked Burgin

"Yeah, This is The Third Time, My Mami is gonna be so mad and Probably is gonna kill Me..." I Said

"Well, Do You know what Helps? Try thinking of a funny movie or show like: Peter Rabbit or Home alone, That's what I always do when I'm getting it" Said Burgin

"Getting what?" I Asked

"You know...When Your Mom or Dad is pounding You" Said Burgin

"You mean...hitting?" I Asked

Burgin nodded His head.

"My Mama or Papa never Hits Me, D-Does...Yours...hit You?" I Asked

Burgin had a frightening look on His face but than it quickly went away,  That had Me worried about Him.

"No, J-Just forget it, Okay? Let's do something else" Said Burgin.

I can tell that Burgin messed Up when He said that One of His Parents or Both might be hurting Him, My hand was shaking a little, My heart started to pound in My chest a little and I can tell How scare He is.

"But...Amigo...You always think of a funny movie, Do You get hit alot?" I Asked

"Look! I didn't mean it okay? Just forget it!" Said Burgin

"Burgin! I'm Your Friend! You can trust Me! I swear!" I Said

"No! I don't care, If You swear on Your Mother's Parents Life!" Said Burgin.
