When the residents turned, In Seong was standing there, arms crossed. He shook his head at them. "And here I thought it was only Eun Hyuk being spineless." In Seong rolled his eyes. He turned on his heels, walking off without another word. The occasional ask, sure, but now every resident was asking for things. Inseong didn't like Hyun Soo being the person everyone went to to collect their belongings. Not once had Inseong asked Hyun Soo for anything. In Seong had everything he wanted.
In Seong hoped whatever they asked for, they were necessary and not for vanity reasons.
He walked around the lobby, just randomly strolling the halls while the others helped Sang Wook with a project. And by help, that meant doing everything for Sang Wook so he didn't have to lift a finger. In Seong wasn't interested in helping with the project, he would rather wait for Hyun Soo to return.
However, as In Seong turned the corner, Ji Eun was standing there. In Seong looked forward, seeing something coming down the hall. Suddenly, Ji Eun started to blow the whistle. Inseong rushed forward, grabbing Ji Eun's arm. He quickly pulled her away from the monster that was coming out of the room.
In Seong looked back, not knowing what the fuck that monster was or where it came from. Inseong and Ji Eun ran straight into the residents who were waiting and wondering what was happening. In Seong reached into his back pocket, pulling out the knife. He flicked it out, standing in front of the residents.
The monster struggled to move and from what In Seong could see, the monster was extremely hairy. There was hair all over their body. Inseong didn't know what kind of monster would turn into something like, it wasn't scary like the others, it was just digusting.
In Seong turned his head as Seon Yeong stepped in front of him and the other residents. In Seong looked over at Eun Hyuk before looking back at Seon Yeong.
"Pull yourself together, Kim Seok Hyeon." She said. The monster reached out for Seon Yeong. "Kim Seokhyeon. Pull yourself together." In Seong's eyes widened as Seon Yeong swung the metal pipe at the monster's head. The monster stopped instantly, realizing what was happening. Seon Yeong stood before the monster, watching him carefully. "You're back."
The monster lifted his head up to look at Seon Yeong.
"Do you have any last words?"
The monster stared at Seon Yeong. "Please... kill... me..." In Seong was surprised to hear that from Seok Hyeon's mouth, even in his monster form. "And..." In Seong couldn't hear what Seok Hyeon had told his wife, but whatever it was, Seon Yeong finally took her anger out on him. In Seong had to look away as Seon Yeong continuously slammed the pipe into the monster's head.
In Seong didn't feel sorry for Seok Hyeon or how he died, but he definitely felt sorry for Seon Yeong. Blood was pooled around the monster's head and splashed on the floor around him. Inseong turned his head, seeing Hyun Soo had arrived back earlier than usual. He had seen the end of Seon Yeong's wrath against Seok Hyeon.
Seon Yeong started crying, falling to her knees.
In Seong held out his arm to the residents, making sure they didn't touch Hyun Soo as he walked by. Inseong watched Hyun Soo – it looked like Hyun Soo was struggling. He stopped to look at the puddle of blood. In Seong could only imagine what was going through Hyun Soo's head as he stared down at the blood. Hyun Soo soon turned his head forward, heading off to his isolation room.
In Seong took a deep breath.

For once, In Seong was actually in the daycare center. He was sitting on top of one of the tables, looking down at his lap. In Seong went to talk to Hyun Soo, but this time, Hyun Soo told him to go away. It was the first time Hyun Soo told him to do that. At first, In Seong refused, but Hyun Soo insisted. In Seong wasn't sure what was going on in Hyun Soo's mind, but it started to become darker and darker with the passing days. It was concerning In Seong.
While In Seong was in the daycare center with the others, they were talking about the food and water supply getting low. They were starting to get to the dangerously low, within a couple of days, they would be without water and food. Hyun Soo had gathered all the food he could from the residents' apartments, including In Seong's, but it wasn't enough for the number they were feeding.
That could only go so far, especially with one meal a day.
In Seong wasn't paying much attention to the conversation, at first. Not until Byeong Il shouted, "We're all doomed!" In Seong lifted his head up, shaking his head. He hopped off the table, going over to the kids before Yeong Su started bawling his eyes out from thinking they were all going to die.
"So what?" Eun Yoo stated. "Do you want to commit mass suicide since we'll all die soon?" She asked. In Seong closed his eyes – having Eun Yoo speaking was a bad idea, but not as bad as Byeong Il just blurting out they were all doomed. At least with Eun Yoo, she knew what she was talking about. "Stop whining. Whining won't change anything." Eun Yoo stepped around In Seong, leaving the room.
In Seong checked on Yeong Su, wiping his face. "It's okay." He whispered. In Seong looked back, getting up from where he was kneeling.
"Where are you going?" Su Yeong asked.
"I'm going to go see Hyun Soo." In Seong wasn't sure what he was going to tell Hyun Soo but right now, he could only think of going to him. In Seong made his way through the dark to the isolation room. Unlike the other times, In Seong walked inside, now that the door was wide open after Seok Hyeon's escape.
He peered into the room before stepping inside. Along the way, he had grabbed a couple of candles. The power went out right after Seok Hyeon's death, just to add to the added pressure of the situation. In Seong saw Hyun Soo on the crate, either passed out or asleep, he wasn't sure.
He kept light on his feet as he entered the room. He set up the candles and then lit them one by one. In Seong had a little while before Hyun Soo woke up. He leaned against the crate that Hyun Soo was sleeping on. He looked at Hyun Soo's face, but what In Seong noticed was the long scar on Hyun Soo's arm.
In Seong turned slightly, pushing up Hyun Soo's hoodie sleeve. The scar went down Hyun Soo's arm. Across the long scar were smaller ones that went across. In Seong knew that Hyun Soo was suicidal, just like him, but that scar suggested more than Inseong had ever done. He might have attempted suicide once, but it was a failed attempt because his friends saved him before he could drown himself.
In Seong went back to leaning against the crate, looking around the room at Hyun Soo's isolation room. The storage room was filled with interesting things, but it was quite boring. No wonder Hyun Soo went out when Eun Hyuk asked him to. The room was rather boring to just sit around in.
In Seong pulled out a knife, starting to play with it. He let his mind wander. It felt like forever while he waited for Hyun Soo to wake up.
When Hyun Soo did, he woke with a start. In Seong looked over his shoulder at Hyun Soo. "Nightmare?" He questioned softly, trying not to startle Hyun Soo.
Hyun Soo sat up on his arm, looking at In Seong. "I thought I told you to go away."
"Yeah, I don't listen well." In Seong commented as he looked back at the knife. "So, I see that scar on your arm. Why'd you do it?" Inseong asked.
Hyun Soo looked down at the scar that he did himself. He then looked at the back of In Seong's head. "Because of me." In Seong stopped what he was doing, turning sideways to look at Hyun Soo. His arm rested on the crate as Hyun Soo sat up fully. He leaned against the pillar, staring at Inseong.
"I remember the day I met you."
"You almost hit me with your front door."
In Seong shook his head. "The rooftop." In Seong set the knife down onto the crate. "You were standing on the ledge, feet inching closer to the edge. You thought about jumping off in that moment." In Seong lowered his chin down onto his arm. "I did the same thing as you the first day I arrived here. I even stuck my leg out, trying to lose my own balance." In Seong recalled that day perfectly.
The only reason why In Seong didn't was because, like Hyun Soo, Eun Yoo stopped him.
Hyun Soo recalled another person on that roof, but at the time, he only noticed Eun Yoo. In Seong didn't speak to him at the time.
"Why didn't you?" Hyun Soo asked.
"Eun Yoo." In Seong chuckled. "She told me the same thing she told you. But after that, any time I'd go to the roof and she was up there or she'd come out a little while later, she would always ask if I contemplated suicide." In Seong shook his head.
Hyun Soo lowered his gaze to his lap. "Have you ever-"
"Attempted?" Hyun Soo nodded. "Yeah, once. My friends pulled me out before I could drown myself." In Seong said. Hyun Soo lifted his head to look at In Seong again. "I continue to live for my little sister. Jin Hee deserves that." In Seong added.
Hyun Soo thought of his words carefully. "Do you still think about it?"
"Every single fucking day." In Seong answered honestly. "Even right now," In Seong held up the knife. "These knives aren't just because I like them. But in my plans to kill myself, I had always planned to jump. But..." In Seong closed his eyes.
"But...?"
"When you fell nine floors, I think jumping is out of the question for me." In Seong chuckled awkwardly. "That was a lot of blood, more than I expected to see from even an accidental fall." In Seong said.
Hyun Soo rubbed the back of his head. There was previously a wound there, but it was completely healed now. "From what I remember, it hurt at first." Hyun Soo said.
In Seong reached over, taking Hyun Soo's wrist. He looked over the scar. "My friend used to cut. He made it look like he didn't so we wouldn't worry, but it wasn't hard to figure out." In Seong ran his finger down the scar lightly. Hyun Soo grabbed In Seong's arm. "You should say no." In Seong looked at Hyun Soo, locking their gaze. "Please."
Hyun Soo broke the eye contact for a moment before locking it again. "Why do you want to die?" Hyun Soo asked.
In Seong hadn't been asked that question before. Whenever someone asked him about his depression or suicidal thoughts, they never asked him why he wanted to die. Even though they were being helpful, trying to be there for In Seong, telling him that suicide wasn't the answer, that didn't stop the thoughts and the ideas to fill his mind.
"I hate to say it," In Seong cleared his throat. "Being gay has a little bit to do with my suicidal thoughts." In Seong said, tracing the scar further. It wasn't because In Seong was gay, it was because of what people said to him, how they made him feel. Everyone threw shit at him because of his sexuality. "The homophobia in our country, it's horrible for someone like me." Hyun Soo's eyes grew at In Seong's thoughts. "They want me to disappear, why not make it official?" In Seong shrugged.
Hyun Soo squeezed Inseong's arm. "You told me..."
"I left out the part where I had a press conference, having to out myself." In Seong closed his eyes. Hyun Soo closed his own eyes – he didn't realize how much In Seong was keeping from the day his life ended. "After the announcement, I was kicked out, my group disbanded, and I was blacklisted from the entertainment industry. I was already depressed before that today, I had the thoughts of killing myself early on, but they increased after that day." In Seong said.
Hyun Soo opened his eyes. In Seong still had his eyes closed. Hyun Soo reached over, letting his fingers run through In Seong's hair. In Seong's eyes opened suddenly, looking at Hyun Soo. He played with In Seong's hair while squeezing his arm. Hyun Soo started to understand In Seong better.
But one question entered Hyun Soo's mind. "Why are you sticking close to me?"
In Seong bit his tongue. "I-"
In Seong turned his head when he heard the door open. Hyun Soo dropped his hands as Inseong stood up. "Whatever it is, do it your fucking selves." In Seong said. Hyun Soo turned his head, seeing Eun Hyuk and Ji Su standing there.
"Stop."
"No." In Seong shook his head. "Do you even care, Ji Su?" In Seong walked around to stand in front of the door. "It's late, whatever it is, you two can handle it, or it can wait until morning." In Seong said.
"In Seong."
In Seong looked between Ji Su and Eun Hyuk, "You two really don't give a shit about him, do you?" In Seong turned sideways, pointing to Hyun Soo. "He's still human. If you continue to use him as your monster-"
"You are only protecting him because you like him." Ji Su said.
In Seong's arm fell to his side. He looked directly at Ji Su. "I could say the same thing about you to Jae Heon." In Seong fired back.
"In Seong, enough."
In Seong scoffed. "Now you pull the hyung card?" In Seong shook his head. "Fine. I'll be good tonight. I'll follow your rules. But tonight better be the last time you use Hyun Soo, Eun Hyuk. Or you'll be dealing with two monsters." In Seong pushed between Ji Su and Eun Hyuk, unable to look back at Hyun Soo.

Okay, is there an actor or actress that you love but you can't sit through a single one of their dramas?
I LOVE Lee Dong Wook, at this point, who doesn't really? But I CANNOT sit through any of his dramas and I've tried so many. SOOOO many. Even Strangers from Hell, which you'd think I'd love but I can't get past the first episode, I've tried several times. And... I feel like I'm in the minority of the Goblin/Guardian hate train. I can't stand that drama.
But from the dramas I have watched before I've dropped, I fell in love with Dong Wook, especially during the beginning episodes of Tale of the Nine Tailed. His line of "my red-brown hair" still sticks with me. XD
