Craten: The fuck?! Is that a baby?!
Tyrone: I was gonna ask the same thing.
Ruby: Aw! She's adorable!
Kait: How did it even get here?
JD: More importantly, where did it come from?
Sonro then picks up the baby in his arms.
Sonro: Well, hello there little lady. (tickles the baby, causing her to giggle)
Nikki: Didn't know you were the maternal type.
Sonro: Oh please, I used to do that with my little sister.
Karasu: I guess that means we know who's on diaper duty.
Sonro: (sarcasm) Oh sure, leave it to the water bender.
Hanzo: If you don't want to, Dean will call dips on it instead.
Dean: Oh no. You idiots are helping with this. Everyone will work on taking care of Ember until we get back to Beacon.
Týra: Ember?
Dean: Well we need to call her something.
Vali: Dean, you can't name her. When you name something, you become attached to it. And when that happens, she'll refuse to leave.
Dean: I don't care. Until we get back, she sticks with us. Besides, look at this little face.
They see Ember's sleeping in Sonro's arms, and couldn't deny that it was cute.
Blake: It does look pretty cute.
Yang: Now what?
Tyrone: First we lost Marcus, then Y/N left, and now this?
Weiss: If we're gonna do this, we have to split up.
Yang: Blake and I will go find Y/N.
Thror: My team and I will join you two.
Ruby: Weiss and I will be with Alex's team to find Marcus.
Hanzo: Aren't we forgetting something?
Sonro: (holds out Ember) What are we gonna do with her?
Craten: Aye, we can't just leave her here.
Arcturus: Which is why you four are taking her to Beacon.
Tyrone: And leave you guys?
Sonro: No way!
Hanzo: I think it's best if we-
Mimir: No offense lads, but he's got a point. We have no idea what this dragon Faunus is capable of or why she ended up here.
Týra: Y/N's father, Yasuke, and Jupiter know the supernatural and mythology more than Ozpin. I'm sure they will know what to do with her.
Craten: (sighs) Alright, just be careful lads and lasses.
Nikki: We will.
Team THCS left with Ember in Sonro's arms. Yang, Blake, and Team THNDR went to where Y/N had left.
Meanwhile Ruby and Weiss followed Alex's team to the tunnel, Team DVANT was about to follow when a blast of lightning struck down a build wall, causing to crumble and collapsed in front of them.
Dean: What the hell?
Nikki: Was that a lightning bolt?
Vali: No, normal lightning wouldn't have this much force. It's something else.
Del: (other side) Are you guys alright?!
Týra: We're fine. You go on ahead, we'll catch up.
Arcturus: Don't worry, we'll find another way to you guys!
Alex: Got it, just make sure you don't get lost!
Mimir: Same with you lads.
Karasu: Good luck!
Team DVANT started finding another way underground, unknown to them, they were being watched by Mazoku from the rooftops as he walked away so he wouldn't get spotted by his enemies.
*With Y/N*
Meanwhile, Y/N was seen at the rooftops of a massive cistern. That's where he meets the woman he's seen before.
Woman: I was wondering when you'd come... Jack the Ripper.
Y/N: No one calls me that anymore. Marcus, Reyna, Oscar, Gary, and the rest of the Outsiders. Where are they?
Woman: (tut-tut) I can show you a better time than those weak humans.
???: Y/N!
Y/N gasps as he turns to see Yang, Blake, and Team THNDR who were running.
Y/N: What are you guys doing here?
Daniel: We should be asking you.
Hayer: The hell you ran off on us like that?
Yang: Yeah!
Y/N: You shouldn't have followed me. Go back to the others.
Natasha: Oh no you don't, we're sticking with you.
Thror: Aye.
Y/N: This is not up to discussion.
Woman: (turns to them) Come now. Why not let them stay? We could some company together.
Daniel: You're a Revenant of Desperado?
Mistral: I am Mistral... the cold wind of Atlas. And you must be the new huntsmen and huntresses I've so much about.
Ryder: Jeez, we're getting famous already?
Mistral: (looks at Y/N) I suppose you told them about your mercenary life. Your reputation precedes you. How you were ruthless, merciless, fighting for survival. A natural born killer, even as a child.
Y/N: That was a long time ago.
Mistral: I was born in Mantle myself, you know.
Y/N: And?
Mistral: We had our own civil war 30 years back. So you see? Cut from the same cloth, you and I.
Y/N: You don't know me.
Mistral: I lost my whole family, everything... (clenching her hand) But I butchered those fuckers. My Family's killers. That's when I realized... I am a killer, too. And a good one at that. I slaughtered dozens in Vacuo, in Atlas... I'd found my calling.
Y/N: (unsheathing Yamato) Proud of that, are you?
Blake: You killed both humans and Faunus? Don't you cared about their lives?
Mistral: (shrugs) What happened, happened. To be honest, I found it quite dull.
Undoing the buttons on her coat, letting it fall to the ground. She was wearing somekind of harness-like armor and some construction on her back with six connectors.
Mistral: My enemies fell like domino, one after another. Not once did I feel threatened. I was adrift... Without challenge... Without purpose... At times, I even envied my prey.
They notice that there were a bunch of sphere-like robots armed with three arms surrounded them and Mistral.
Mistral: At least they had the cause to die for. And then... I met him.
One of the robots leap at Y/N who cuts it, knocking it next to Mistral.
Y/N: Who?
Mistral: (walks toward the robot) And I knew what I'd been missing.
She crouches near the robot looking down and comforts the suffering creature.
Mistral: His ideals gave me meaning. Ideals, Jack. (looks up at Y/N) What are yours?
Y/N gets confused. He wasn't expecting that question.
Y/N: I... protect the weak.
Hesitating to answer Mistral stares at Y/N before laughing.
Mistral: Still... so naive.
She picks up a chopped robot and rips the arms of the robot as it squeals it pain.
Y/N: And if I must kill to protect them... then so be it.
He points Yamato at Mistral who was twirling one of the arms she carried, she then stepped on the robot and crushes it under her foot.
Mistral: It seems we have less in common than I thought.
Y/N: I'll take that as a compliment.
He retorts noticing the small bots slowly gathering.
Mistral: If you would kill for your ideals, then surely you are ready to die for them.
She combines both arms, stiffing into a sort of staff while the rest of the robots pile on her, ripping their limbs off and attaching them to Mistral's harness and weapon.
Yang: Y/N!
Y/N: Stay back Yang! I'll handle her!
Yang: But-
Suddenly, more robots surrounded Yang, Blake, and Team THNDR, separating them from Y/N and Mistral.
Mistral's arm staff as it writhes and stiffens, the weapon had a knife on each end turning the weapon into a duel spear. Mistral motions with her finger for Y/N to attack.
Mistral: Come, mon gars! (my boy!)
(Cue Stranger I Remain. Play at 0:44)
More robots surround Y/N and Mistral, throwing themselves at Y/N two of them jump at him only to be sliced clean in half stabbing the third into the ground.
Mistral swings the spear in Y/N's direction, destroying the remainder of the robots with a massive swipe. Back flipping over it, Y/N parried Mistral's follow up attack causing her to stumble. Seeing his opportunity he used Zandatsu to cut and slice off a few of Mistral's "new" appendages.
Thror swings Stormbreaker and cuts a few robots in half. Ryder throws his shield which knocks down a few more robots.
Y/N dispatches more of the little robots and slides under Mistral's spear. The tip was mere inches from his neck he cuts off another two arms while slashing at her cybernetics, but she breaks Y/N's concentration by blocking one of his attacks, forcing him to back off.
Determined to end this quickly, Y/N rushes Mistral slashing a few times then does a sideflip while spinning so fast it looked like a whirlwind of death, Yamato craved through the crude weapon the final strike breaking her spear into pieces.
He then used Zandatsu to sever the rest of her arms. Before Y/N could take away her original arms, Mistral dashed away leaping on to a pipe while more bots flock to her some even attacking Y/N.
Mistral: Here! A present from me to you!
As the bots mindlessly rip off their limbs, Mistral launches the husks at high speed at Y/N who was back flipping then rolls to the side. Dashing forward, Y/N cuts the final one in half.
Hayner stabs one robot in the eye with his combat knife before he fires his gunblades at serval more. Natasha unleashes blue lightning which coated her sword and does a swing, creating a crescent of blue lightning to electrocute and malfunction the robots.
Mistral jumps off the pipe, running at his enemy and attacking, but he was prepared as he sheathed Yamato.
Y/N: Cerberus!
Y/N pulled out his Ice Nunchucks in a bright flash and begun to flail them around, sending several shards of ice towards Mistral who cut through them all with near superhuman speed.
Y/N sent two prongs of Cerberus to the ground and sent several ice spikes speeding to Mistral, trapping her lower body in the ice.
Y/N whittles Mistral's spear and arms away, going for a massive strike but she is blocked with her spear. This was causing both opponents to lock weapons for a brief moment.
Suddenly, the spear turned into a whip wrapping itself around Y/N's Cerberus. Mistral yanks him forward Y/N loses his balance, hittting him in the chest. Flipping midair, Y/N lands a few feet away stabbing Yamato in the ground to stop himself. Mistral wraps the spear-whip around Y/N's foot as she lifts him into the air.
Resorting to Zandatsu, Y/N slashes the whip, freeing himself from its grasp and being sent flying. Seeing an oncoming pipe, Y/N uses his momentum to swing around the pipe and right back to Mistral, kicking her off the roof and landing on a coolant pipe a good distance away. Y/N immediately follows her dropping next to Mistral.
Mistral: I want more...
She was provoking the young man, before backing off again to "re-arm" herself.
(I'll see myself out for the bad pun)
Mistral starts launching more suicide bots, Y/N doesn't move this time, instead choosing to cut through each flaming ball of metal.
Mistral jumps down, she uses the whip as a spear spinning like a top to which Y/N was barely able to block. Jumping into the air Mistral's weapon stabs both its blades beside the boy, pulling herself down Y/N backflips at the last second narrowly missing her attack that smashes through the pipe.
The rest of the pipe collapses, causing mayhem and destruction below setting off the reactors alarm, Y/N slides from one piece of debris to another using them as footholds landing near Mistral.
Yang and Blake: Y/N!
Blake and Yang rushed over to his side as Blake tried to slash Mistral with Gambol Shroud. But when she leapt up and over her, Blake had used her Semblance to quickly close the gap between them and slash at her sides to knock her to the ground.
Y/N: Girls, what are you doing?!
Yang: Isn't it obvious?! We're trying to help!
Y/N: Leave! She's too dangerous for you two to handle!
Blake: We can't just leave you here with her!
Y/N: But-
Yang: No buts! We're staying here with you and that's final!
Y/N: (sighs, smiles) You are so stubborn, Yang. Okay, just be careful.
Blake: Same with you.
Mistral: Enough talk! This ends here!
Mistral cracks the whip on the ground, as her remaining robots run at Y/N who destroyed them all in just one wide swing.
Blake fired her gun mode at Mistral who blocks the bullets with her staff. She then started throwing out the tethered end of Gambol Shroud to hook around the joint of her left leg before leaping behind her to pull on the other end and hook it up to her right leg, binding Mistral's legs together
Y/N dashes with Yamato held in front of him stabbing it into Mistral's shoulder, twisting the blade in deeper Y/N rips one of her original arms off. Mistral started screaming in pain as blooding pools on the ground.
Yang used the bursts from Ember Celica to blast herself upward and above Mistral. Loading up all her shells, Yang gave a yell as she pulled back both her arms and blasted forward to deliver a punch that unleashed all her shotgun shells in one strike.
This attack was enough to heavily damage Mistral. Mistral backs away, then jumps into the air once more going to strike Y/N down.
Blocking the attack Y/N uses the rest of his strength to run forward, sparks flying as Yamato ran up the spear's shaft. He then punched Mistral across the face, Y/N looks behind himself sees a tank of liquid nitrogen.
Mistral: Don't fuck with me boy!
Y/N jumps off the tank as Mistral's spear nearly hit Y/N's face and punctures the tank. Struggling to free herself, Y/N looks at the tank slashing it open and flips away. The contents started washing over Mistral who tries to escape only to be unable to move, freezing her entire body frozen solid.
While in the air, Y/N uses Zandatsu for the Final time, slashing and slicing every inch of Mistral's body not stopping until the air was filled with blood and frozen chunks of meat and gore, then smashing the rest with a huge downward slash, flicking the blade clean.
Yang: (shocked) Holy crap...
Hayner: That was badass...
Ryder: I agree.
Blake: Don't you think that's brutal?
Y/N: She deserved it. Besides, she's not human anymore. Just a cyborg mercenary bitch.
Yang: You're right, she did gave you that COLD shoulder.
Y/N: (deadpans) Really?
Yang: What?
Y/N: Never mind, let's go.
Thror: Hold on, lad. I think we should take a break.
Y/N: We don't have time for a break. The others are already ahead of us searching for Marcus, Reyna and the others at the Burial Site.
Natasha: Thror's right. You, Blake, and Yang just fought a Revenant while we fought a bunch of robots. If we go now at our current condition, we might exhaust ourselves.
Y/N: I... (sighs) Okay fine. Let's not take it too long, though.
Daniel: Don't worry. I've scared the area and found an abandoned house near by. It's about a few meters away from the Locus burial site.
Thror: Right then, let's go.
GOW 4 Chapter 9 ended.
