The next morning, the girls waited for the boys to come and pick them up.
"Uh-oh !" Pope yells
"You forget your keys or something ?" John B yells
"You need a tow?"
"Don't give them the satisfaction of thinking this worked." Kie says
"Absolutely not." Sarah shakes her head
"You gotta admit it was funny." John B says
"John B."
"Uh, what's that ?"
"Mastermind, huh ?" Kie says
"I'm always plannin'."
"Some patriarchal bullshit."
"Yeah, that sucked."
"You still love us though, right ?" JJ says as he throws the rope to Estrella. "Here."
"Yeah, whatever." Estrella says rolling her eyes
"Hey, you still hate me ?" John B says
"A little. We're all gonna get you back when you least expect it." Sarah says
"Watch your back, boys." Kie says
"Mm-hm."
"I welcome that challenge." Pope says
"Me too." JJ smiles
"So, did you guys, you know..."
"Reconcile our differences ?" Kie says
"Definitely not." Estrella says
"Mm-mm." Sarah shakes her head
"Not even close."
"But we're... willing to work together."
"Mm. You know what ? That's victory." John B nods
"Yep." JJ says
"Wiggedy-wiggedy-wiggedy !" Pope says as he does his hand shake with JJ
"Know why ? Hydroponic."
"Don't say that."
"All right, shut up. You guys ready to jack some loot ?" John B says
"I guess." Estrella says as she steps onto the boat.
"Yeah, whatever." Kie says jumping on
"Yep." Sarah says getting in behind them.
"In the boat." John B says
"Let's get it." JJ says. Estrella goes to sit behind him as the others get situated. "Love the shirt, by the way."
Estrella looks down at it before looking up at him. "Want it back ?"
"No," He shakes his head with a smile. She smiles back before the boat starts up.

"You got rope ?" John B says
"Got it." Pope nods
"Grappling hook ?"
"We don't need a grappling hook, John B. We're not Batman." Estrella says
"Pulley ?"
"Check." Kie says
"Dark clothes ?"
"Got it." Sarah says
"Flashlights ?"
"Check." JJ says
"All right, good. We're ready." John B says as he gets out to come around to open the door.
"Let's go." Kie says
"Wait, wait." John B says, "I wanna say thank you, guys. Seriously. It means a lot to me that you're here tonight."
"Always." Kie says
"Of course, man." Pope says dapping him up
"My man."
"Awe, how sweet." Estrella jokes
"All right, we done with the circle jerk ? Can we go do this ?" JJ says
"Yeah."
"Let's get that wheat in the water." Pope says as they get out.
"Weed ? I'm up for weed."
"Wheat. I said wheat."
Sarah goes over the wall first. Everyone else following her before they crouch down to sneak into the yard. As they get closer, the lights come on.
"Shit !" Sarah says as they all squat down to hide behind bushes and trees.
"Okay..." Pope breathes, "Okay, so she has motion sensor lights."
"We could, uh... move really slowly, maybe ?" JJ says
"What ?" Sarah says
"That's not how it works." Pope says
"Oh, shit. Let's throw a rock at it." John B says
"What ?"
"That's an amazing idea. Let the axe murderer know that we're here." Estrella deadpans
"Throw a rock at it ?" Pope says
"You have a better idea ?" John B says
"Literally anything but that." Kie says
"What about the breaker ? In the circuit box on the porch." Sarah says, "We used to play hide-and-seek here as kids. And if we were brave enough, we'd go all the way up to the porch. I've seen it."
"No, no. You're not going in the house alone." John B says
"Watch me."
"Crain chops people into pieces." JJ says
"If you believe that, but she's like what, 85 ?"
"Yeah, somethin' like that."
"She's probably barely still kicking."
"Here. I'll go with you." Kie says
"Yeah."
"Me too." Estrella says. Sarah smiles at her.
"We'll wait for your signal." Pope says
"Okay, cool." Sarah says as they start to get up and walk over.
"Hey ! Be safe." John B whispers
"We will." Sarah nods as they keep going.
"Be safe." Estrella jokes
"Okay." John B sighs. Estrella laughs before she follows Kie.
The girls make their way toward the house. Sarah using her flashlight to lead the way.
"She must have a generator plugged into the main power supply."
Sarah looks around as they make it onto the porch. Kie opens the power supply. "Where are the breakers ?
"What is this ?" Kie says
"No, no, no, no, no, no, no."
"Shit." Estrella sighs as she looks up, "It goes inside."
"We have to go in ?" Sarah says
"Yeah." Estrella says looking at the both of them.
Kie takes a deep breath before she opens the door slowly. All three girls creeping in as Sarah uses her light for them to look for the breakers. Estrella looking around them to make sure nothing was coming at them. Kie points up to the ceiling. Estrella and Sarah notices a power line leading them into another room.
Kie smiles as they finally find the breakers. Sarah shining her light on it as Kiara turns them off. No other light was on now beside the flashlight Sarah was holding.
The girls turn quickly as they hear creaking. They rush to put their backs up against the wall. They soon start to hear thumps coming from the other room. Sarah looking to the other two as they try to listen to figure out where it's coming from.
Kie covers her mouth as they hear the thumps coming closer.
"It's... it's late, Leon." They hear, "Too late."
Estrella's heart starts racing as the old woman, Mrs. Crain comes into view. Standing directly in front of them.
"I can hear you, Leon. I've been waiting all night !" She yells as she turns to them.
Sarah screams as the girls immediately start to run away. "Go ! Go ! Go !"
The girls pant as they try to find a way out. Kie splitting up from them as Sarah and Estrella run the other way.
"Leon ! Where are you, Leon ?" Mrs. Crain yells
Estrella turns and realizes Kie isn't behind her.
"Where's Kie ?" She says breathing heavily
"Shit." Sarah says. They hear plates smashing and immediately run in that direction. Sarah catches Mrs. Crain's fire poker before it can hit Kie. She takes it and throws it as Estrella takes Kie's hand and all three of them run out. They close the door as they exit the room.
They hold it shut before something pokes through it. They scream as they start running again.
"This way ! It goes underneath the house !" Estrella yells. Sarah and Kie follow after her as they rush down the steps.
"Go, go, go, go !" Kie says
"I'm trying !" Sarah yells
"Go !"
"Guys !" Estrella yells as she nears the bottom step
"Guys !" Sarah yells
"What's going on ?" Pope says
"Mrs. Crain ! She's up there !" Sarah yells as she breathes heavily
"She tried to kill us with a fire poker. Guys, we gotta get the fuck out of here." Estrella rambles
"We locked her in the parlor, but we gotta go."
"Okay, no, that's code red. That's code red !" JJ yells
"We have to go !"
"Hey, John B ! Get back on, man !"
"Hey !"
"Come on !" Sarah says. They all grab onto the rope.
"Three, two, one, pull !" Pope yells. They pull, but fall back as the rope comes up empty.
"Jeez."
"Shit !"
"Where the hell is he ?" Estrella says as they come up around the well to look in.
"John B !" Sarah yells
"Sh !" Kie says. They all listen as they hear John B.
"What's he saying ?" JJ says
"JJ ! Pope ! Kie !"
"Yo, he's drowning ! We gotta pull him up !" Sarah says before they all scramble for the rope.
"John B !"
"Hey, John B ! Get back on the rope. We're gonna pull you back up, okay, buddy ?" Pope says
They all grab onto the rope as John B gets back on. They all start to pull groaning as they work together.
"Pull !" Pope yells. They all jump away as a gunshot goes off.
"Shit !"
"Jesus !"
They start to lose grip on the rope before they grab it again. JJ ties it off before they hide.
"Go ! Go !" Kie yells as the three girls hide together. "She can't aim for shit."
"She can't see. She's blind." Estrella says
Another gunshot goes off.
"Shit ! Go ! Go, Sarah !" Estrella yells as Sarah gets up and runs. Kie and Estrella follow after her as they run out. Another gun shot goes off as they make it out. It's not long before they hear the boys behind them.
They all hop over the wall and rush into the van. The girls and Pope jump into the back as JJ gets in the drivers seat.
"Where is he ?" Kie says as they hear another shot before John B appears jumping over the wall.
"Come on, start the car. Go !" Pope yells
"John B !"
"Why are we always getting shot at ?" Pope yells
"Come on ! John B, run !" Estrella yells as JJ starts to drive off.
"Come on ! Come on !"
"Wait ! Wait, wait, wait, wait !"
"Get in !"
"Wait !" John B dives into the back. Pope closes the door as JJ speeds up.
"JJ, drive !"
"Go, man !"
"Oh, my God !
"God !"
"Are you okay ? Are you shot ?" JJ asks
"No."
"You good ?" Kie says
"Yeah, yeah."
"I think I'd know if I was shot, right ?"
"Dude, you look fucking disgusting." Estrella gags
"God, you smell like ass." Kie says
"What the hell just happened ?" Sarah says
"All-time Pogue Hall of Fame, baby." JJ says
"Hell, yeah. That bitch is possessed." Kie says
"That bitch can't aim." Sarah says
"How does she move that fast ?" Pope says
"She's possessed."
Estrella watches as John B pulls something out of his pocket. He wipes it off and it shines in the car lighting. "What is that ?" She says
Everyone stops to look at him. "No, you didn't !"
"We did it, baby !" John B yells
