Once upon a time, a boy who was born with darkness named Rave Soyama,
a party boy named Roxas Evans,
a kind but series liquid bending girl named Lily Siren,
and the invisible robinhood named Ben Hunter-
These are the original four members of team REBL,
The first team brought together and trained for the sole purpose of combating and rampant evils that plague the fantastic world of Remnant and Earth but as the young professional huntsmen. If these four professional young huntsmen want to stop all this madness and to save both worlds, they'll have to learn to work together on the battlefield and including their missions.

Long ago in somewhere of Vale while inside the floating airship and about to reach its destination, after these four had accepted as professional huntsman and huntress because of their own reason and their own goals, in order to find a way to defeat the Grimm for good under Qrow Branwen,
and Lily's older brother named River Siren,
and with their little helper named Penn Polendina.
To achieve their goals, they must take the training test once they come to the age of becoming the professional huntsmen at such young age instead of original ones back from after graduating from academies. But things didn't go well between Roxas and Rave, since Roxas wants to get to know everyone but Rave wants to be alone and to be away from everyone.

Meanwhile, the two of the female faunus known as snake faunus and crocodile faunus named Rinka
and Tick
are both planning to find the Maidens of four seasons and the Guardians of the five Elementals for the sake of their boss.

To stop them, REBL, Qrow, River, Penn and all together to have a quest and to pass the test, in order to stop the Grimms and to achieve their goals.

While Rinka and Tick both plotted to unite the various criminal gangs to seize all four kingdoms in order to find the maidens and the guardians all at once.

Qrow had to brush off each of their compatriot's pretty proposals during the journey to abandon the others for their benefit. At camp, the mentors eventually discovered that when REBL told them about their own past and the reasons why they wanted to do this as they contemplate why they want to become huntsmen and huntresses. Qrow decided to tell the REBL, Penn and River about the whole reason why this has all started about the Grimms, the maidens and the guardians and most of all most to the shocking to the youngsters that there's a person who can control the Grimms and some other people are working with that person. To that, River suggested to all of them that their current goals were self-defeating and that changing their ways will lead to better lives for all.
Before REBL, Qrow, Penn River and comprehend the black haired woman's point, a messenger technology from Penn's arm, discovering that he is not a human but a robot, got the message from one of the various criminals arrived to reveal their plan and the mentors had the company set off immediately.
To encourage them to change their ways and to work together, River secretly led the youngsters into extremely dangerous path and forced them to cooperate in order for them all to safely pass. However, when they were about to make it to their destination, due to Roxas and Rave's arguments accidentally got them trapped from the underground cave and on a river of lava. Their mentors managed to get them to safe ground, but fell to their all apparent deaths, leaving them with only the advice from Qrow "Remember the path" to guide them now.
Dispirited at their loss and failed the test, Rave, Roxas, Ben, Lily and Penn all tried to find their own way back home. However, they encountered a village devastated by the Grimms because of negative emotions from the villagers after what Rinka and Tick's forces and its citizens desperately attempted to hire them for protection. Moved by the villagers' plight, the young huntsmen and huntress declined the fee and resolved to stop the criminals and the Grimms for the sake of a higher ideal. Rave, Roxas, Ben and Lily all decided to reintroduces to each other and to work together for real as a team and friends and also decided to be friends with Penn, much to his delightful to have his first four friends.
Thus motivated, the team interrupted the two female faunus' summit. When the newest team as professional huntsmen and huntress revealed that they were doing this for honor, they intimidated the various visiting gangs into retreating and at the same time to defeat the Grimms while Rinka and Tick both fought alone. Although the two female faunus took proof too much to fight alone, team REBL managed to combine their talents along with their own auras and their own abilities to defeat them in a coordinated attack. Rinka and Tic both got away after being defeated by REBL. At the moment of their victory, they all discovered that they found the four black pawn pieces of chess and their mentors all reappeared alongside with Ozpin, Glynda and James Ironwood
all praised the young professional team for being worthy huntsmen and huntress who have found a higher purpose than one of their own goals. Ozpin announces a new team formed - team REBL. Rave was surprised to be selected as the team leader especially that he thinks that he's not worthy to be because he was born with light and darkness; meaning that he's a half human a half grimm. But the other of the team all said that he would make a good leader. They all cheered and celebrate their past of their test. Ozpin is very delighted of REBL and ponders what kind of the teams of huntsmen and huntresses would all become.
Inside of Beacon's tower, Ozpin is very impressed to learn that Rave is not actually human but a half breed of human and Grimm but she is that she knows who are his actual parents and decided not to tell him yet, Ozpin also knew about Rave's actual parents as well and decide not to tell him as well. He then explains that they are several kinds of Grimms were created by their leader who controls them and create them at the same time because the leader is the Grimm as long as he can remember. Ben asks if Rave has the same abilities as the leader of the Grimms but Ozpin didn't believe that Rave has the same abilities as the leader of the Grimms but he considered him that he's special and that he's the key to find a way to stop the Grimms for good in order for him to be a full human again but however, he also has different abilities.
At that moment, Qrow had announcement that he and REBL had missions to do and they all left.
