*This Chapter Is Kind Of Long*
Alexia's POV:
I'm on cloud 9 as I arrive at the studio because I got a perfect score on my solo and because I also have exciting news to tell everyone. I walk into the studio and I was greeted by Abby smiling just as hard as I was. I guess she's still happy about this weekend too. I walk in the den and say hi to everyone. Once I put my bags down I find a spot on the floor and start stretching. I have to keep my flexibility. "Why are you so smiley this morning?" Maddie asks me. "You'll find out soon." I say with the biggest smile on my face. Abby soon calls us in studio a for pyramid. "Welcome everybody." Abby said as we all nodded. "Last week we ALMOST had a clean sweep but of course the group had to get second." Abby said as we all hung our heads. Well the moms just rolled there eyes. "Anyways moving on to pyramid. On the bottom we have Kenzie, you where either one step ahead or one step behind everybody. Next is Nia, it's the technique. Next is Chloe, it's the regression. You flexibility is not where it used to be." Abby said. "If you would put as much time as you put into Maddie and alexia's, her flexibility would be just as good as there's!" Christi yelled at Abby. "Or maybe you child just isn't as talented as them." Abby argued back. Chloe was now on the verge of tears so I hugged her since I was standing next to her. "Don't listen to her. You are very talented." I whispered to her. She nodded as she wipes the tears that had slipped out. "My daughter is very talented!" Christi yelled. "Is she though? She can barley do anything with the lack of flexibility she has." Abby said. I hugged Chloe tighter as they argued. "Yea, well at least she can do more than you. You can barely walk let alone do the things these girls do." Christi said to abby. My mom and Kira snickered at that comment. Abby just rolled her eyes and continued on with the pyramid. "Anyways next is Kendal, I see improvement but you still need to fix the minor mistakes you make." Abby said as Kendall nods. "Next is Maddie, you were good but there's always someone better." Abby said as Maddie hung her head. I felt bad for Maddie because she's usually the favorite but things have changed. "Next is Kalani, you were amazing." Abby said as Kalani smiles. "And on the top of the pyramid is.............Alexia. Your were outstanding. You got a perfect score and your duet won." Abby says to me as I smile. "Ok this week we are going Phoenix Arizona. There is a lot of good competition there, so I need everyone on there A game." Abby said as we all nodded. "Ok on to dances. Of course we have the group dance, so I'll tell you who's got a trio." Abby said as we all crossed our fingers. "The trio goes too.......Kenzie, Kalani, and Kendall." Abby says as they all jump up and down. "All the k's." Jill said with a smile on her face. "Moving on, we also have a duet. The duet goes to Maddie. Your going to be doing the same dance alexia did last weekend. So Jake will obviously be your duet partner." Maddie's eyes went wide but she was also confused. "I'm giving you the same choreography as her. This is a test to see who's my number one girl." Abby said as Maddie nodded. "Moving on, we have 2 solos. The first solo goes to Alexis. The second solo goes to......Chloe." Abby said as Chloe jumped up and down in excitement. I smiled and hugged her as I raised my hand. "Yes alexia?" Abby says. "This Wednesday I'm going to be at The Voice." I said. The girls eyes went wide as they started screaming and hugging me. Abby just nods and says, "We're going to start with the group first, so mom's you are dismissed." Abby said as the moms walked out.
*Time Skip*
Vanessa's POV:
As I'm watching Lexia learn her solo I hear Christi say, "Abby is setting Chloe up to fail." I look at her in confusion as Melissa asks, "Why do you say that?" "Because just look at alexia's solo compared to Chloe's and Chloe only learned 30 seconds apart f her dance meanwhile Alexis has learned her whole dance." Christi says. I see where Christi is coming from but that's nobody's fault but Abby's. "Yea but that's Abby's fault." I tell Christi. "I'm fully aware of that. I'm not blaming it on your daughter if that's what you think." Christi says. "No I'm just making sure." I say. "Oh I would never blame that on your daughter. Im fully aware that this is all Abby's doing." Christi says as I nod.
*Time Skip To Wednesday *
Alexia's POV:
It's the day of The Voice and I'm very nervous. Everyone knows me from dance moms but I wanna be more than the girl from dance moms. People also don't know I can sing so that's another reason I'm nervous. I'm currently in a green room getting ready for my performance. I have my solo music in my ears as I'm getting ready so that I have the music down packed. I soon finish getting ready and start watching people sing on the big screen. It's cool that they have a large tv in the green rooms so that you can watch other people perform. I start to get very nervous thinking about being on stage in front of thousands of people. It's easier to dance in front of people rather than sing in front of them. I decided to put my earphones back in and play my solo music to mark through my dance. While I was doing all of this my mom was talking to the producers of the show. After I was done marking my solo, I got a drank of water and stood beside my mom. "Ok thank you." My mom said with a smile to one of the producers. My mom turns to me and said, "You're on after the girl that up there rn. So come on." My mom said as we followed the procedure she was talking to earlier. As we made it to the stage the girl walked off. My mom turn to me and said, "Ok sweetie go out there and rock it. Just breath in and out if you get nervous and it's not the end of the world if you they don't like what they hear but I don't think they're going to have that problem. Just have fun. I love you and you got this." My mom says as she kissed my forehead and hugs me. I smile and thank my mom as I hug her back. "Ok you can walk on stage now." A producer told me. I walk on stage and took a deep breath. I couldn't see the judges faces but I was still pretty nervous. I heard the music to the song I was about to sing started playing and got lost in me singing.
I was in tears as I got finished singing. "I got literal chills." Kelly said as I smiled through my tears.
*Time Skip But Only A Little*
It now to the point where I had to pick which judge I wanted to mentor me. It was a very hard decision to make but I know who I want. "I want to go with...........Kelly." I said into the mic. Kelly jump up and down then ran to me to hug me. "Thank you sweet baby." Kelly whispered into my ear. "You're welcome." I said as I hugged her back. Kelly and I walked off the stage and I immediately jumped in my mom's arms. Mom was hugging me tight. "I'm so proud of you baby doll." My mom said tome. I just smiled and hugged her back just as tight. My mom soon put me down as she turned to Kelly. "Hi I'm her mom." My mom said as she shook Kelly's hand. "Hiii! Nice to meet you." Kelly said with a smile on her face. "I just came back here to give you my phone number so that I can text you when to bring her to me." Kelly said as my mom nodded. Kelly gave my mom her number then hugged me again before leaving.
*Time Skip To Competition*
We re currently in the dressing room and I'm getting ready for my solo. I have a beautiful costume. I'm doing my makeup when I hear miss Abby ask, "So alexia how was the audition?" "Great! I made it to the next round." I say with the biggest smile on my face. "Who's your mentor?" Abby asks. "Ummm.......You have to wait until tonight when it airs to see." I say because I really don't know if I can give that information out just yet. Abby only kids as she calls me to run my dance. After I run my dance Chloe runs her dance but Abby is barely paying attention to her. "Abby the least you can do is watch her go through her dance." Christi says as Abby just rolls her eyes. Seriously? She literally only went through her dance ONE time fully through!" Christi yelled at Abby's. "She old enough to know to run through it herself." Abby says still in her phone. "You literally only do this with my kid. You just ran alexia's dance! Why can't you run Chloe's?!" Christi yells. "BECAUSE YOUR CHILD DANCES LIKE SHE HAS TWO LEFT FEET!" Abby yells at Christi. I immediately look at Chloe to find her just staring blankly at the floor. I walk to Chloe and hug her. She looked at me and hugged me back. I hate when the moms fight with Abby because it makes us uncomfortable.
*Tiny Time Skip*
Chloe performs her solo before me but there is a number in front of her. "Chlo don't listen to Abby. You're an amazing dancer. She's just trying to get to your head. Just block her out and dance like you love it. Don't let her steal your passion." I say to Chloe as she nods and smile. The rest of the girls hug Chloe as the girl before does her ending pose. "Good luck Chloe." We all say. "Thank you and can you hold my jacket?" Chloe asks as Maddie nods and takes the jacket from her. "Judges please welcome to the stage entry number 245, Chloe with a solo call, "Lucky Star."" The announcer says. Chloe struts on stage with A LOT of confidence.
I was smiling so big as Chloe got off stage. "How was that? Did it look bad?" Chloe asks with worry in her voice. ""It was amazing." Kendall said. "Yea and your turns were spot on."Nia says. "Yea I don't think it looked bad at all." Kenzie added. "You have nothing to worry about." Maddie said as she hugged Chloe. "Stop freaking out so much goofy ball." Kalani said. I agree with her." I said as we all hugged Chloe. Chloe smiled and said, "Thank God because I tried very hard in that solo." I smile at her as I kissed her cheek. I'm proud of you chlo." I said with a smile on my face. It was soon my turn to perform. I wasn't nervous I was just overly excited because this solo is one of my favs. "Judges please welcome to the stage entry number 247, Alexia with a solo called, "Burlesque.""
I walked off stage feeling very proud of my performance. "That was literally Amazing!" That girls whisper yelled.
*Time Skip*
Maddie and Jake were running through their dance backstage. I think it looks just as good as when I did it. There was literally one number before they went on so Jake ran to the other side of the stage. "Judges please welcome to the stage entry number 286, with a duet called, "fire on fire.""
As they walk off stage Maddie immediately asks me, "Was that bad?" "Not at all." I say with a smile on my face. I'm honestly so proud of Maddie.
*Time Skip*
It's now time for the trio and they all look very nervous. "Judges please welcome to the stage entry number 300, with a trio called, "Edge.""
As they all walked off stage, I hug them and tell them how good they did.
*Time Skip*
We are now backstage marking the group dance. I love the costumes we have for this dance. "Judges please welcome to the stage entry number 345, with a group dance called, "A Thousand Years.""
As we walked off stage we all jumped up and down. "That was good!" I said. "Yea and I saw Abby give us a high clap." Chloe said as we all smiled.
*Time Skip*
We are now in the dressing room. We just came back from awards and I'm happy. Let me give y'all a little run down. So, the duet got 2nd and of course Abby yelled at Maddie but I thought it was pretty good. The trio got second, which they also got yelled at. I liked the trio but the spacing was a little off. Chloe got second but I only beat her by a 10th of a point. But of course she still got yelled at for being second and the group got first.
