(Note: This chapter is long as hell... I hope you don't find it boring.)

The Legion's Tower, Omega Earth

Upon receiving an urgent call from Omega Sage, the trio of Yoru, Skye, and Gekko rushed to the top of the tower. As they reached the pinnacle, a tense scene unfolded before them. Sage, her normally composed demeanor replaced by a steely resolve, aimed her Vandal at the active teleporter. She gestured for the others to retrieve their weapons from a nearby locker, and they did so swiftly, standing in formation by her side, firearms at the ready.

Skye, her curiosity and concern evident, couldn't contain her questions any longer. "What's happening, Sage?"

Sage's expression remained focused, her attention unwavering from the ominous portal. "I don't know," she admitted, her voice tinged with uncertainty. "The teleporter activated so suddenly, even after I cut its power. Be ready for anything."

Gekko turned his attention to his Radivore companions. Focusing on his powers, he reinforced the mental shield he had established earlier, ensuring their protection from the radiation. However, the disquieting energy from beyond the teleporter and the world all around them continued to disturb him.

As the heroes prepared themselves for a confrontation with the Radivores they expected to emerge from the portal, they were met with a surprising and unsettling sight. Stepping through the shimmering gateway was none other than Omen. His claw shaped eyes, once a sign mischief, were vacant and soulless.

The heroes exchanged uneasy glances, their readiness turning into apprehension as they faced this enigmatic and altered version of their former ally. The tower's winds whispered tales of impending danger, and the heroes knew they were about to confront something far more sinister than the Radivores.

Sage's heart plummeted in her chest as her eyes fell upon Omen, or at least the empty shell of a man he once was. "Omen..." she whispered, disbelief and sorrow mixing in her voice.

Skye, her tone tinged with caution, urged Sage to be wary. "Careful Sage, that's not the Omen we know."

The soulless figure removed the hood which concealed himself, revealing the face of Frederick Wallace—the man Omen had once been. His vacant eyes spoke volumes, a stark transformation that chilled the heroes to their core. "Correct. I am not the Omen you remember," he confessed.

Yoru, catching a crucial detail, narrowed his eyes. "You're the impostor Glitch talked about."

The soulless entity nodded in agreement. "Correct again. I am Reaver, a being born from the depths of darkness. I've come to claim the Mask of Dimensions on behalf of my master, offering you, heroes, a chance to surrender it without bloodshed."

Yoru's anger flared, his voice laced with frustration. "What the fuck are you talking about?"

Unfazed by their hostility, Reaver maintained his eerie composure. "My master requires the mask for his plans, and I'm offering you a choice—hand it over or face death."

Sage, her patience wearing thin, fired a warning shot, narrowly missing Reaver's face. Yet he remained unfazed. Her voice was firm as she delivered a final ultimatum. "Leave this tower now, or we'll have no choice but to eliminate you."

Reaver's already vacant gaze seemed to grow colder, his aura radiating an unsettling chill. "Don't make me kill you, Sage," he warned, his voice void of emotion.

Gekko cast a concerned glance at his companions and noticed their trembling readiness for combat. Reaver pressed on, his words ominous. "The world will be a better place when you wake next. You have my word. All you need to do is surrender the mask." He extended his hand in an eerily calm gesture.

Sage, unyielding, fired another shot, aiming directly for Reaver's head. But to her astonishment, the bullet appeared to freeze in mid-air, caught by some intangible shadow. The sunlight that bathed the tower faded, plunging the sky into darkness as Reaver harnessed his formidable powers. "So be it, then," he uttered.

Sage barked her command, her voice unwavering. "Legion, prepare yourselves!"

Los Angeles, California, Alpha Earth

In the midst of the relentless battle against the Radivores, Jett couldn't help but voice her growing concern to Cypher. "Just how many of these damn things are locked up in this place?!"

Cypher, his focus sharp as he continued to fire at the approaching Radivores, responded calmly. "I don't know, but we can't let them get out of here."

Their firepower was making a dent in the advancing horde, but the odds were still against them. Just when it seemed like the situation might become overwhelming, Deadlock's arrival provided a much-needed boost. "Deadlock! Where's Glitch?" Jett asked.

Deadlock, her actions as precise and efficient as ever, replied with a calm demeanor. "He's handling the source."

Turning the tides, the trio continued to fight, their weapons blazing as they neutralized Radivore after Radivore. The minutes felt like an eternity, but their teamwork remained unshaken.

Finally, as their bullets found the last of the creatures, the lobby fell silent. The survivors, who had huddled in fear, slowly erupted into cheers and applause, acknowledging their heroic act. Jett couldn't help but share a triumphant smile with Cypher, who nodded in response, his hat-tip a silent salute to the people they had just saved. Deadlock, however, remained focused, her attention unwavering.

Jett's voice, filled with relief, broke through the tension. "Glitch... he did it!" She assumed that their comrade had successfully handled the source of the problem, a sentiment shared by Cypher and Deadlock.

Cypher reached out to Glitch through the comms, commending his efforts. "Good one, Glitch. Meet us outside," he instructed. However, as moments ticked by, there was no response. Cypher's concern grew, prompting him to try again. "Glitch? Do you copy?"

The trio exchanged worried glances. Before they could decide on a course of action, the sound of heavy thuds reverberated through the facility. All eyes turned toward the source of the commotion, and soon, something crashed onto a thick glass panel from a floor above.

It was Alpha Glitch and Omega Glitch, locked in a heated confrontation. Bullets flew as they exchanged fire, their movements a blur as they effortlessly dodged each other's shots.

Terrified by the unfolding chaos, bystanders began a frenzied rush to flee the facility. The trio fought against the surging tide of panicked people, determined to reach the two Glitches who seemed to be at the center of the turmoil. Amidst the turmoil, it was nearly impossible to distinguish between Alpha and Omega as their movements blurred.

Deadlock couldn't contain her anxiety any longer. "Y/n!" She called out to her world's Glitch, desperately trying to make contact. The two masked men momentarily shifted their focus toward her. But it was Alpha Glitch who responded, his voice laced with urgency, "Deadlock, get out of here!"

In that moment of distraction, Omega Glitch seized an opportunity. Swiftly, he raised his weapon and fired, hitting Alpha Glitch in the shoulder. Pain tore through Alpha Glitch's body, causing him to wince. Reacting swiftly, Deadlock and Jett opened fire on the other Glitch.

Omega Glitch, realizing he was outnumbered and outgunned, summoned a protective barrier to halt the barrage of bullets. He sneered at his adversaries and declared, "Oh, hell no. I won't be robbed of my payback time." With that, he activated the Gauntlet of Space, vanishing into thin air, taking Alpha Glitch with him. In the blink of an eye, they both disappeared, leaving the heroes bewildered amidst the now-quieted facility.

"Damnit!" Deadlock yelled in frustration as she watched the two Glitches vanish, leaving them in uncertainty about their comrade's fate.

Cypher's gaze turned distant as he shouldered the weight of responsibility. "It's my fault," he admitted with a hint of regret. "I should've told you both that Omega Glitch was here."

Jett, her voice laced with frustration, responded, "I knew we couldn't trust him..."

.

.

After the teleportation, both Glitches found themselves in the midst of a dense forest, far removed from the chaos of the city. Alpha Glitch, disoriented and perplexed by their sudden relocation, glanced around at the unfamiliar surroundings.

Omega Glitch, on the other hand, remained focused and resolute. His attention was drawn to the artifact gleaming on his wrist—a potent source of power. It pulsed with an otherworldly energy, serving as a stark reminder of the stakes in this battle.

With tension rising between them, the two Glitches squared off, each prepared to continue their confrontation. The forest stood as a silent witness to their clash, as the world itself seemed to hold its breath, awaiting the outcome of this fateful duel.

Alpha Glitch unleashed a barrage of bullets upon Omega Glitch. However, his counterpart does not fight like he used to. He wielded the power of his artifact with sinister expertise. He summoned a portal that absorbed the incoming bullets, rendering Alpha Glitch's attack futile.

As Alpha Glitch watched in surprise, another portal materialized behind him, and with a chilling precision, the bullets were redirected through the portal and back toward him. He grunted in pain as the bullets struck, damaging his suit and causing him to stagger.

Omega Glitch glitched in front of Alpha Glitch, his Vandal's barrel pressed firmly against his adversary's forehead. He taunted, "I'm winning this time."

Alpha Glitch, determined and fueled by the rivalry that had ignited between them, tapped into his own glitching powers. With a resolute focus, he executed a swift glitch, instantly appearing behind Omega Glitch. The bullets that had once found their mark in his body now clattered harmlessly to the ground where he had previously stood. As he aimed his Phantom squarely at his opponent, Alpha Glitch retorted with unwavering resolve, "We'll see about that."

The Valorant Protocol agents, led by Brimstone, arrived at the facility, their expressions a mix of concern and readiness for action. They were met by Cypher, Jett, and Deadlock, who looked both relieved and worn out by the ordeal they had just faced.

Brimstone wasted no time in getting to the heart of the matter. "What the hell happened here?" he demanded, his voice gruff and commanding.

Cypher was the first to respond, his tone laced with tension. "The Radivores somehow got loose, and they went berserk," he reported, his voice tinged with disbelief. Jett nodded in agreement, adding, "It was crazy, but we handled it."

Brimstone's brows furrowed as he posed the most critical question. "Where's Glitch?" He looked at Cypher, Jett, and Deadlock, seeking an answer.

The trio exchanged uncertain glances, grappling with the words to convey the unsettling truth. Deadlock finally took a deep breath and spoke up. "Omega Glitch took him," she said, her voice mirroring her concern.

Cypher chimed in. "We've lost contact with him. We don't know where they went."

Brimstone's jaw clenched, his concern for his teammate palpable. "Alright," he said, addressing the team. "Breach, Cypher, Jett, guard the perimeter. Make sure no Radivores escape from here."

He then turned to the rest of the team. "The rest of you, with me. We're heading in."

As they prepared to move out, Deadlock approached Gekko, her gaze thoughtful. "You really think Radivores can be tamed?" she asked quietly, gesturing to the creatures in the vicinity. "Look around," she said.

London, England, UK, Omega Earth

In the grand hall of the Kingdom Headquarters, Faust knelt in his imposing black and gold armor, an embodiment of power and authority. His face remained fully concealed by the crown-helmet, a symbol of his regal stature. The Blade of Shadows, which doubled as his weapon and artifact of power, was thrust into the floor before him, a testament to his resolve.

As he knelt there, deep in thought, his loyal secretary approached him. "Sir, heroes of the Legion are here to see you," she informed.

Faust nodded to her, his gaze never leaving the gleaming blade of his artifact.

Moments after the secretary left, Omega Phoenix and Jett entered the cavernous chamber. Phoenix, his voice laced with urgency, spoke first. "Faust, Brimstone sent us. We're here to escort you to safety."

Faust remained silent, his attention focused on an eerie and constant chill that seemed to pass through the hall. Unbeknownst to the heroes, Faust had been absorbing power from the surrounding shadows through the sword he was holding, preparing himself for what is to come.

As Faust slowly rose to his feet, both the weight of his armor and his responsibilities were evident in his every movement. He stood tall, a towering figure in the grand hall, as Jett continued with the urgent news. "Radivores are rampaging all over the world. It's dangerous here."

Faust acknowledged Jett's words with a solemn nod. "I am well aware of the threat, and I expect the root of the problem to arrive soon."

Phoenix, with genuine concern, implored, "Faust, please, come with us. We can take you to the Legion's tower. It's much safer there."

Before Faust could respond, the colossal doors to the hall were blasted open with a deafening blast, revealing a menacing figure bathed in shadows.

The unfamiliar figure declared, "There you are... The time has come for you to return to your true self."

Omega Phoenix and Jett exchanged perplexed glances, both raising their Vandals and taking aim at the mysterious man. Ignoring their weapons, the stranger moved deliberately closer to Faust, prompting Phoenix and Jett to tighten their grips on their firearms.

"We had an agreement. So why am I seeing your minions being so hostile towards me?" The figure inquired, his voice carrying an air of bewilderment.

Faust, concealed behind his imposing black and gold crown-helmet, responded with a tone of resentment. "No matter what world you find yourself in, you remain a parasite, spreading a plague that must be cleansed, Abraxas."

Abraxas chuckled cryptically. "Pitiful creature," he mused. "You've grown attached to this world. You may have this world under your control, but do your puppets know that you're an outworlder yourself—a parasite within your own realm? I wonder what they'll think once they hear the truth." He glanced at Jett and Phoenix, observing the accelerated beating of their hearts and the hastening of their breaths.

Undeterred by the stranger's provocations, Faust drew his sword, which had been embedded in the floor. "Despite the darkness within me, and the ever-present desire to conquer, and no matter how vile I may be," Faust declared resolutely, raising his sword against Abraxas, "I found something captivating in humanity, and decided to spare this world."

Abraxas raised his sword, an identical twin to Faust's Blade of Shadows, and questioned Faust's conviction. "Fool. I created you from a piece of my own soul. I granted you life and purpose, to represent me in my absence. And this is how you repay me? By turning against me, your original self?"

The revelation left Phoenix and Jett stunned, exchanging disbelieving glances. The CEO of one of the world's largest companies—an outworlder? Or rather, a clone of an outworlder? It was an unimaginable revelation.

"Do you genuinely believe that you, a clone, can stand against me, the original?" Abraxas challenged, his sword gleaming menacingly. "I will give you a chance. Kneel before me, and I will spare your life."

Unyielding, Faust emphasized his steadfast resolve.

"I will never kneel to anyone," he asserted, his voice resolute, as he descended the stairs, his sword creating a resounding echo with each step. "I am the King of Omega, and this is my 'Kingdom'."

The Legion's Tower, Omega Earth

Reaver stood triumphantly at the pinnacle of the Legion's tower, surveying the forms of the fallen heroes. Despite his victorious posture, an inexplicable pang tugged at his heart. He couldn't quite comprehend this foreign sensation, but a solitary tear managed to escape his eye, tracing a path down his emotionless face. It was a remnant of the humanity that had once been Omen, a fragment that still clung to his soul even after his transformation.

Faust had offered him a glimpse of what it meant to be human again, a chance to savor the taste of humanity. But before he could fully embrace it, Abraxas had seized him, bending him to his own will and reshaping him into what he had become.

Lowering his Phantom, Reaver approached Yoru's lifeless body and plucked the cracked Mask of Dimensions from his face, the artifact he had come to claim. His mission was accomplished.

As he turned to leave, he felt a feeble grip on his ankle, and his gaze fell upon Gekko, still desperate to halt his progress. Though his soulless nature was impervious to sympathy, a hidden corner of his heart ached to witness the boy's anguish. With a heavy heart, he squeezed the trigger, ending Gekko's life in a swift, merciful manner.

With the coveted mask in hand, Reaver vanished into thin air, leaving Sage behind, bleeding and helpless on the cold floor. Tears flowed from her eyes as the weight of her failure bore down upon her. She then closed her eyes, consumed by anguish.

Copenhagen, Denmark, Omega Earth

Brimstone, Sova, Killjoy, KAY/O, and Fade found refuge in an underground bunker within Denmark, guided by Bilal, which held the promise of safety from the relentless Radivores. As they settled into the dimly lit, dusty chamber, the urgency was palpable, and Killjoy wasted no time in making her needs known.

"I need that analyzer, pronto!" she exclaimed, her eyes focused and resolute.

Sova promptly tossed her the device he had acquired from Cypher. Amidst the many citizens and injured soldiers sheltered in the bunker, they gathered to provide room for the heroes as they began to strategize.

With a determined look in her eyes, Killjoy carefully placed the analyzer on a nearby table, swiftly connecting it to her laptop. Her fingers danced across the keyboard as she delved into studying the enigmatic object responsible for the radiation in Copenhagen, meticulously scrolling through the blueprint displayed on her screen. KAY/O stood steadfast by her side, poised to assist in any way necessary.

"Let's figure out how to disable this thing," she muttered, the frustration evident in her voice. KAY/O echoed her concerns, stating, "My powers couldn't penetrate it."

Meanwhile, in the background, Fade's presence remained silent yet watchful. Her unique abilities allowed her to perceive the fear and apprehension that gripped each person in the room. She chose to keep her observations to herself, cognizant of the fact that their own fears were but a fraction of the terror encircling them outside the bunker's walls.

Brimstone, fueled by a mix of determination and concern, attempted to establish contact with the other heroes of the Legion through their communication devices. He called out to each one, methodically reaching out, but was met only with deafening silence.

"Reyna, Viper, if you can hear me, say something. Members of the Legion, can you hear me? Respond immediately!"

With each unanswered call, the weight of uncertainty pressed heavily on him, and his expression grew increasingly somber. Amidst the tension, a group of children, fans of the Legion's heroes, approached, their faces etched with fear and concern.

"Brimstone, are we all gonna die?" they asked, their voices trembling. Brimstone's eyes filled with helplessness as he recognized the fear in these innocent young faces.

Sova, standing beside Brimstone, placed a comforting hand on his shoulder. With unwavering resolve, he offered reassuring words to both the children and his comrades in this dire situation. "Of course not. We'll keep everyone safe."

Lisbon, Portugal, Omega Earth

Lisbon, once a vibrant and bustling city, now lay completely submerged beneath the relentless ocean's depths. The protective dome that had shielded it from the surrounding waters had been utterly destroyed, leaving no barrier between the city and the unforgiving sea. The result was a haunting and surreal underwater landscape.

Lifeless bodies of people, remnants of the once-thriving population, floated aimlessly in the murky waters. Among them were Astra and Harbor, their lifeless forms drifting side by side. The city's destruction had claimed even the most formidable defenders of the Legion.

Nearby, a figure emerged from the shadows of the submerged city. It was Neptune, Harbor's soulless counterpart. With a calculating and sinister air, he approached Astra's lifeless body, a golden arm gleaming eerily in the dim underwater light.

Neptune extended a hand and delicately removed the Gem of Reality from Astra's golden arm. The gem, once a source of great power and potential, now pulsed ominously in Neptune's grasp. With a cold, empty gaze, he took one last look at the lifeless bodies scattered around him, a testament to the city's tragic fate.

Having fulfilled his mission, Neptune departed from the submerged ruins of Lisbon, leaving behind a city lost to the abyss, its once-vibrant streets now a silent and haunting testament to the relentless forces that had consumed it.

Melbourne, Australia, Omega Earth

Reyna, her once-human form now transformed into an eerie, black and purple, staggered weakly amidst the chaos. She bore the scars and bullet holes of a brutal battle that had pushed her powers to their very limits. Despite the immense damage, her uncanny ability to regenerate by absorbing the life force of the surrounding Radivores kept her from joining the fallen Viper.

The relentless onslaught had left Reyna's weapons empty, leaving her with no choice but to resort to her primal instincts and bare hands to claw her way through the unending swarm of Radivores. Her mind had been consumed by a frenzied desperation to survive, her once-controlled demeanor replaced by a primal fury.

Reyna's maddened gaze fixed upon Soulless Phoenix, known as Elderflame. Her vision was clouded by pain and fury as she closed the gap, intent on exacting her revenge despite her grievous injuries.

Elderflame lowered his weapon, allowing the fiery dragon it had transformed into to return to its lifeless Vandal state. He watched Reyna's relentless approach with a cold, unfeeling demeanor, his soulless eyes betraying nothing.

As Reyna let out a roar of defiance and leaped towards him, Elderflame's hand shot out with unnatural speed, closing around her throat with a vice-like grip. Her claws dug into his soulless hand, but he felt nothing, not even pain, only emptiness.

Impressed by her resilience, Elderflame spoke, his voice laced with an eerie calmness, "You've put up quite the fight, Reyna. I'll give you that."

A sinister chuckle escaped Elderflame's lips as, his grip tightening. "But I burn faster than you can mend yourself." Reyna's body erupted into searing flames, her agonized screams filling the air as she burned. The intense heat consumed her, and in moments, her life flickered out, leaving only smoldering embers where she once stood.

Elsewhere, Chamber managed to escape the brutal scene, teleporting to safety in a desperate bid for survival. Panting heavily, he clung to life, his exhaustion evident as he realized the heavy toll the battle had taken on him and his fallen comrades.

"Merde (Shit)," he muttered under his breath. From his tattered vest, he retrieved a card and summoned a small device that resembled a cell phone. He took a deep breath, wiped the blood near his chin, and used the device to contact someone.

Somewhere in Alpha Earth

Omega Glitch knelt on the ground, gasping for breath after the grueling battle with his counterpart, Alpha Glitch. His mask was cracked, revealing a glimpse of his face beneath the shattered facade. Standing tall, Alpha Glitch aimed his Phantom at him.

"Why?" Omega Glitch rasped, his voice heavy with exhaustion. "Why...? The artifact chose me as its guardian. I fought harder, trained tirelessly to protect my world. I've had months to hone my skills since our last battle. So why am I still losing to you?!" he questioned, his frustration boiling over as he pounded his fists against the ground.

Alpha Glitch, also catching his breath behind the mask, remained silent, the barrel of his weapon still fixed on his defeated adversary.

"I just... wanted to become stronger," Omega Glitch continued, his voice more reflective now. "To be strong enough to protect my world from any threat. Only then will my life have meaning."

Alpha Glitch finally spoke, his tone calm but resolute. "Fate."

Omega Glitch lifted his head to lock eyes with his counterpart. "Fate? Is that what you believe? That all this was determined by some cosmic force?"

"I never thought you were weak," Alpha Glitch admitted, lowering his weapon but keeping it ready. "You were strong back then, and you've grown even stronger today. I had doubts that I could win against you. I didn't win because I'm stronger. It was fate that I won this battle, and the one back then."

Omega Glitch chuckled bitterly, a wince of pain passing across his features due to his injuries. "Fate... what a beautiful word to cling to for hope."

Tears welled up in Omega Glitch's eyes as he clenched his fists, the earth beneath his grasp feeling the weight of his turmoil. "Is this the fate that was written for me? To find answers, only to be defeated? What a pointless... and unfair journey," he mused, his words filled with bitter resignation.

.

What will Alpha Glitch do?

Option one - Let Omega Glitch live.
Note#1: Alpha Glitch befriends Omega Glitch.

Option two - Kill Omega Glitch.
Note#2:
Will increase The Valorant Legion's hostility towards Omega Glitch and the Valorant Protocol.
Alpha Glitch receives the Gauntlet of Space.

(A choice needs to be made here, but I will include it in future updates! For now, here's the default story.)

.

Alpha Glitch lowered his weapon, extending a hand toward Omega Glitch as a gesture of truce. Omega Glitch, his eyes still glistening with tears, was taken aback by this unexpected act of mercy. He hesitated for a moment and said, "Don't humiliate me. Just kill me if you want to."

Alpha Glitch, his mask concealing his emotions, replied evenly, "I don't have a reason to kill you, not right now. I know you're not evil."

Omega Glitch, still bewildered by this turn of events, cautiously accepted Alpha Glitch's outstretched hand, allowing himself to be pulled to his feet. He brushed off the dirt from his tattered suit and looked into the eyes of his counterpart as they unmasked themselves.

"Shit, this feels worse than looking at the mirror," Omega Glitch remarked, his face contorting with discomfort as he grappled with his injuries.

"Tell me about it," Alpha Glitch replied, acknowledging the peculiar sensation and his own injuries.

"I need to return to Omega Earth," Omega Glitch said, his voice filled with urgency. "My world is in grave danger."

Alpha Glitch inquired, "Why don't you just use your gauntlet to teleport back immediately?"

Omega Glitch's expression darkened as he explained, "There's an outworlder searching for the gauntlet. If I use it, he'll sense its power and come after me."

Understanding the dire circumstances, Alpha Glitch nodded in understanding.

Omega Glitch activated the gauntlet's powers, and it shimmered to life, instantly teleporting them back to the K-SEC facility in Los Angeles.

Omega Glitch hurriedly reconfigured the teleporter's coordinates to Omega. "I need to use the teleporter. There's some sort of strange radiation from the other side that drives Radivores insane, so it might get a bit chaotic for a few seconds," Omega Glitch warned.

Alpha Glitch moved swiftly to the control panel, initiating the power-up sequence. "Just make it quick," he urged.

As the teleporter hummed to life, Omega Glitch nodded to Alpha Glitch, a silent gesture of farewell before leaping into the portal. Alpha Glitch promptly cut the power before the Radivores could be exposed to the hazardous radiation. As Omega Glitch left, Alpha Glitch was left alone in the laboratory.

Suddenly, the blaring alarm resounded throughout the facility, and Brimstone's voice crackled through the comms. "You three, shut it down! Reyna, on me!" he commanded.

"Brimstone?" he whispered, a mix of surprise and relief in his voice.

The Legion's Tower, Omega Earth

Omega Glitch emerged from the teleporter, his relief short-lived as he was met with a scene of horror and devastation. Yoru, Skye, and Gekko lay lifeless on the cold floor of the tower. Panic and despair welled up within him as he rushed to their side, calling out their names in vain, "Yoru! Skye! Gekko!"

But the grim reality remained unchanged. He clenched his fists in frustration and grief, muttering curses under his breath. "Damnit!" The weight of the loss bore down on him, threatening to crush his spirit.

However, amidst the sea of despair, a faint heartbeat reached his ears. His head snapped towards the source, and there, leaning against a wall, was Sage, barely clinging to life. He hurried to her side, shaking her gently. "Sage, you're alive! Wake up!" he implored, his voice trembling with a mix of relief and worry.

Sage opened her eyes weakly, the toll of her relentless efforts evident on her frail form. With a trembling hand, she reached up to touch Glitch's cheek, managing a feeble smile that held a glimmer of hope amidst the darkness. Using the last reserves of her life force, she channeled her remaining energy to heal Glitch, mending his injuries and restoring him to full health.

Glitch watched in awe as the wounds that had pained him moments ago vanished, replaced by renewed strength. "We're counting on you, Glitch. Save us all," Sage whispered, her voice fading as she breathed her last breath.

He felt his heart break at the loss of his teammates, especially Sage, who had sacrificed herself to save him. Gently, he placed her lifeless body on the floor, mourning their deaths.

Suddenly, the sky above them began to change, its colors shifting and swirling.
