Bada's POV
I haven't gotten enough sleep after last night I've been trying but I couldn't... All I can think about is Maddy.
She left a few minutes ago for her errands I wanted to drive her but she refused and she has been avoiding me so much.
I don't have any face to show her to be honest... I just keep on taking the blows, when she's mad or when she's hating on me. I feel like in a way I deserve it. I left her, without explanations, without hesitation...
I kept telling myself that it was for her, that I waited but to be honest it was just reasons, because I was scared about how long will she be in love with me, that I'm waiting for something bad to happen or for something to fuck up our relationship and when everything went down I had a reason and that once and for all I might have something I actually regret... So I hesitated.
If my Mom would ever know what I did her yells would be heard around the street
"Hey..." I raised my head to see Minah taking off her shoes and closing the door behind her
"Hey... How was Dad?" I asked her as I shuffle the channels on the television
"He's fine, did Maddy go out already? The snow is starting already" IShe said as she sat down beside me
"That's good to hear..." I said as I bit my lips to ask about Maddy
"You know at first I thought I was just being stupid when I felt like there's something between you and Maddy" She started with her eyes glued on the TV screen
"What do you mean?" I asked her
"Unnie I'm not stupid... Of course, I asked your Dad about someone that you were seeing back in LA, and he said that the name of that girl is Maddy... Explains why you two are so awkward together" She said giving me a small smile
"You don't have to worry I'm not going to make a move on her" I said as I leaned back on the couch
"You're funny... Maddy and I aren't in a relationship Unnie, it's just a no-strings-attached thing, we're really good friends, she's afraid of relationships now after you and I don't want to force her, I just want to remind you that she's my friend and I hold her very dear to me Bada, I don't want you to go around her and to treat her the way you did again" She warned me and I sucked my teeth in annoyance and I don't even know why
I guess her being protective of Maddy is somehow pissing me off in a way that I don't understand
"You know I won't do that to her" I said to her
"I know what kind of pain you went through because of Maddy, Redlic told me everything... But you have no idea what kind of pain you caused her, you weren't there, even if I don't know that you are the one who caused her that kind of pain and even if she was trying her best to hide it from me, I can see and feel all of it" She added and I felt like I got punched in the gut by what she said
She was right I wasn't there, how dare I act like this?
"But... Given that she can't date anyone after you says that she hasn't moved on yet... If you want to make it right this time... I won't stop you" She smirked as she side-eyed me and I laughed
"This is why you're my favorite step-sister" I said hugging her on the side
"I am your only step-sister" She replied rolling her eyes as she stood up and grabbed a bottle of water
"Where did she go anyway? I thought she's teaching classes at UGX at 3 it still early?" I asked her turning my head to her
"You still haven't told her that you'll teach there today too? You're such an evil... She's going to the hospital" I scrunched my eyebrows in confusion, she looked fine earlier, why did she need to go to a hospital?
"Why?" I asked as curiosity filled me
"It's a long story but basically... She got into a car accident about a few years ago and it was like bad bad, like she went into a coma bad... So her Mom is like walking on eggshells with her and wants her to get checked first when she gets here" she said casually drinking her water while my jaw was on the floor for the information that I just found out
"I'm surprised you didn't know that".... "Oh right you blocked her and her friends from all your social media accounts" She laughed
My face was blank, I couldn't comprehend the fact that she'd got into an accident and I wasn't there, when was this? Is it after I left? A few months after? How stupid of me to not check up on her?
What is wrong with me?
"You'll drive on the way to UGX okay? You have classes there too today right?" I can hear Minah in the background but my thoughts are still filled with questions
I just nodded at her
Maddy's POV
I started the car and on my way to the dance studio, the doctor said everything was good and clear and I didn't have to worry about anything.
Just like what they say every time I go to a doctor, I took pictures of the results and sent it to my Mom so she could sleep peacefully tonight
I went to the dance studio early so I could familiarize myself with the place and practice a bit on my own first
I parked and saw a coffee shop nearby.
I went in and ordered some coffee
I winced as I felt the hot coffee spilled on me
"Oh! I'm so sorry!" A small girl with red hair almost the same as mine bumped into me
"It's fine" I smiled at her
I feel like this happened before...
"No I almost got it" She nervously laughed as she tried to remove the stain of the coffee on my shirt with some napkins
"It's really okay... The stain will not be removed no matter how hard you try to wipe it" I chuckled at her
Ah... I remember who I had this kind of interaction with
Okay, Maddy stop... Try to not think about her today, it's been messing up with your head so much now
"I have a sweater on my seat, at least let me lend it to you, I'm not taking no for an answer" She suggested while smiling and I gave up and took her sweater
I went to the bathroom to change really quickly and I closed the door behind me as I got out
"All done?" I almost jumped when I heard her talking beside the bathroom
"Hi... Uhm... Yes... Thank you, your sweater is really nice" I thanked her as we both walked
I grabbed my coffee from the counter
"Hey..." Is she gonna keep on popping out of nowhere today?
"Hey..." I smiled at her
"You're Maddy" She said my name and I looked at her confused
"I'm Aiki, we spoke over on the phone" She said and I tried my best to remember her
"Oh my god... You're one of the managers of UGX" I said with wide eyes and I drew out my hand to shake hers which she gladly did
"Yes... I wasn't able to recognize you right away earlier, I can walk you in if you want" She asked and I nodded
"How long have you been teaching classes?" She asked me as we walked inside the building
"Oh about 3-4 years now I think" I responded to her
"Hmm.. Not that long you must be really good given you're the manager at LA Motion" She smiled widely at me
She's so cute... I mean not Bada cute but still cute... Well, Bada is not cute... She's hot.
Maddy... seriously??
I put down my bag on the side
"Can I see you dance?" I asked her sitting across from her and she smiled
"I mean... I have to prove myself to the pretty girl at some point right?" She said as she connected her phone to the speaker
"Yeah kind of" I laughed
The music played and she started dancing.
My eyes were glued on her and my brain was in work mode when she began her moves.
She is actually really good, her moves are really clean and she has stage presence and charisma... Not to mention she looks really relaxed when she's dancing instead of looking like she's putting a lot of effort
The song ended and she looked at me panting
"How was that teacher?" She said as she rushed to sit beside me and I chuckle
"You were actually really good, I admire your moves a lot... Don't call me teacher you look like you've been dancing longer than I have" I said smiling at her
We shuffled some ideas and came up with a dance, since I've been practicing this dance I taught her most of it and she got it right away, it's surprising how fast she can remember steps... Who am I kidding? She's a choreographer of course she remembers steps well
"Okay, now let me see you dance" Aiki said as she sat down where I was dancing earlier
"I'm going to dance one of the dances that I'll teach the class later" I said to her smiling as I removed the sweater she lent me earlier since it was not that cold inside the studio and I had a black tank top earlier so it was really not a problem
I grabbed the heels inside my bag and her eyes widened
"I'm not included in your class, right? All along I was curious why you asked the students to bring their set of heels" She said terrified
"No, unfortunately, you're not" I laughed at her, I positioned myself, and asked her to play the song
Earned It by The Weeknd started playing in the background
Bada's POV
I leaned on the car waiting for Minah to get out
"I thought you stopped smoking?" She said as I grind the cigarette butt under my shoes
"I did just now" I smirked and she rolled her eyes at me
"You stopped smoking before why did you start again?" She asked while we were walking inside the dance studio
"I did stop... Then I went back here in Seoul, and Kai and I hung out again" I replied to her not caring what her reaction would be
"So Kai dragged you back to smoking again?" She asked not dropping the topic
"No, Korea dragged me back to smoking again" I said as I rolled my eyes at her
We heard the speaker going off inside the room
"I thought we were early? Is Maddy here already?" I asked Minah
"She hasn't responded to me since she said she was at the hospital earlier" She answered me and we didn't hesitate and entered the room
To see Maddy dancing... In fucking heels... This woman is going to kill me to be fucking honest.
And all of the songs in the world... Her song choice is Earned It? Is she doing this on purpose?
I sat down watching her intently and I could see Aiki's eyes glued on her as she bit her lower lip I could feel my emotions taking over me as she gawked at Maddy's every move
She lay on the floor grinding and raising her legs in the air and doing everything that I wanted to be for my eyes only, I swallowed at the sight of her every move and her dance ended
She laughed and sat in front of Aiki, maybe she hadn't noticed that we were here
They started laughing and I could feel my blood start to boil
"Careful sister, some might say you're showing emotions... Jealousy maybe?" Minah teased me and I pushed her off the chair and she screamed out of pain making Maddy and Aiki's eyes shift to us
"Bada? Your class isn't up until 4 PM" Aiki said across the room
"I want to watch" I replied coldly to her
"She's teaching here today too?" Maddy asked Aiki and Aiki nodded at her, she looked at me and rolled her eyes before going back to her bag to change into some shoes
"Go... Ask her out, your windows are closing sister, there's a lot of people who actually like Maddy, you're not alone in that line if you think you are" Minah said smiling at me, in an annoying way
I stood up and ready to walk up to Maddy and ask her out to eat
"Let's grab a bite" Aiki asked smiling at her and she smiled back, I stopped in my tracks...
It's been a long time since I saw her smile. A real genuine smile, that isn't printed on a picture or saved on the gallery on my phone
Her smiling in person.
"Okay I'll buy you some coffee please don't bump into anyone this time so you won't spill it" She laughed wearing a sweater that I've seen Aiki wear so many times here
I am the person who bumped into her and spilled coffee on her what is she talking about?
I can feel the anger taking over me as I run my tongue inside my cheeks and dug my nails into my palm, my eyes followed them until they left the room and I sat down beside Minah
"And the windows have closed" She said then laughed afterward her laugh stopped when I violently pushed her to the floor
"I don't know why Maddy likes you, you're such a violent person" Minah said as she rolled her eyes.
I just laid down on the floor and watched some videos on my phone for the dance I'll be teaching later, but my thoughts are still on Maddy.
The way she swayed her hips earlier, how her body synchronized with every beat of the song, and how her moves and dance improved since the last time I saw her, I thought that time she was already so good, now she's even better... Not to mention her body is unbelievably sexier this time around.
I don't know if it's because I haven't seen her for a very long time or she really did become hotter.
People started coming in and I saw a notification from my phone that had Aiki's username on it, she uploaded a new story
I gritted my teeth as I saw them walk inside the room and laughing
"I know that you might be killing Aiki in your mind but you don't have to stare at her like you're about to stab her" Minah said as she leaned onto me
"You're a fucking asshole" I hissed at her and she laughed loudly
"You're really really really pissed, I'm gonna leave now" She said and she ran to Maddy and she hugged then they started talking
Aiki placed her arm around Minah and Minah hugged her
A thought popped into my head telling me that I wanted to remove both of their heads off
Minah for seeing Maddy naked and Aiki for just... existing.
This isn't fair I have to do something to get Maddy's attention.
