SHOWNU
- He invited you over and you thought you'd play a little prank on him to see his reaction as you'd seen someone do it on their boyfriend so you thought why not
- So you quickly applied a bit of pinky purple makeup to your neck and made it seem like an actually decent hickey
- You then headed off to Monsta X's dorms
- When you arrived you immediately went into Shownu's room
- You knocked and he answered with a cute smile
- You greeted eachother with a kiss then went inside his room where you both sat on his bed and had a playful conversation
- You slightly covered up the fake hickeys at first with your hair but he wasn't noticing anything sus so you moved your hair
- It was still taking him more than an hour to notice
- That is 'till he laughed throwing his head down and saw them when he brought his head back up
- He had to do a double take
- He kept looking back and forth between the pinky purplish spots on your neck and your face
- "y- y/n-ah.. what's on your neck?"
- He was rather confused
- "Huh what do you mean?"
- You started to act a little panicked to add effect
- "Did you burn your neck or something?" he asked while practically inspecting your neck.
- Then horror flashed upon him as he asked "they're not.. hickeys, are they?"
- "N- no, why would they be hickeys Hyunwoo you know I'd never do that to y-"
- "Okay stop that. Just be honest with me if you don't love me anymore. It's better than breaking my heart in the end." he said as his voice started to break.
- You felt too bad to carry on so you ended it there.
- "Oh my Gosh babe I'm so sorry, it's a prank!" you said with sorrow filling your eyes.
- He threw his head down and then hugged you
- You hugged back reassuringly and let him know you'd never do that to him ever and you'd hate yourself if you ever did for whatever reason
- It was true
- "It's just makeup, love." you said while having him in your arms, stroking his hair.
- "I was so scared, I thought you were cheating on me! Don't do that again!" he said after he looked up with glossy eyes and hit your shoulder playfully.
- Upon seeing his glossy eyes you let out a light 'aaw' as you felt truly bad and took him right back into your arms.
- "I'm sorry I promise I won't. You know I love you." you said to him reassuringly and kissed his temple.
MINHYUK
- You were planning on doing the prank on him today as he was coming round anyway since you made dinner and invited him over
- When he texted saying he was almost there you quickly went into the bathroom and applied makeup onto your neck and jaw to make them seem like hickeys
- You thought you did a pretty decent job to be fair
- In the nick of time the doorbell rang as you put your pallet and brush away and went to open the door for your boyfriend
- He was standing there with a cute grin and open arms
- He engulfed you in a spine crushing hug and then kissed your lips sweetly as you welcomed him into your house
- You had a little conversation before sitting down and eating the food you'd made
- You were talking and eating at the same time and it took him no longer than thirty minutes after he arrived to notice the hickeys
- You were just finishing eating and he suddenly freezes
- "Babe? What's wrong?" you ask him.
- "y/n.. what are those? On your neck." he asks sternly.
- "Wha- what do you mean?" you started acting startled to make it more believable.
- "Are you cheating on me?" he asks straight up.
- "Why would I be cheating on you?"
- "Are those not hickeys?" he asked pointing to the location of the hickeys.
- "I- I don't know what you mean Minhy-"
- "Don't play dumb y/n! After all I've done for you, after all we've been through the past seven years, you do this? I trusted you with my all, I loved you, you were my favourite person and now I can no longer feel that because knowing there's someone else you love more than me doesn't let me! I'm just upset you had the audacity to do that and then meet me right after that." he said as he stood up from his seat, sounding really let down as his voice broke multiple times.
- "Babe-"
- "Don't call me babe. In fact don't call me ever again. We're do-"
- "Minhyuk it's a prank!" you interrupted him before he could finish the two horrific words you never wanted to hear even if we're talking seriously.
- He looked at you with wide eyes and questioned "what?"
- "It's a prank, calm down, I didn't think it would go this far, I'm so so sorry, you know I love you and I'd never do such a thing!" you said reassuringly.
- "Aaahhh y/nnn!! Don't ever do that again, do you have any idea how much you scared me!" he took you in his arms tightly.
- You stroked his back and told him you were only doing it for fun but realised it went way too far so you apologised one last time before kissing his nose as he smiled lovingly at you.
KIHYUN
- You told Kihyun you'd go over to Monsta X's dorms to see them and also because Kihyun was missing you a lot
- So you had a cheeky lil' idea to play a prank on him
- You put some makeup on your neck and jaw to form a few faintish spots to make them seem like hickeys
- You thought this would fool him good so with that you were ready to leave the house
- You arrived and said hi to everyone as your neck where you'd placed the fake hickeys was covered by your hoodie AKA Kihyun's hoodie that you were wearing
- Your boyfriend in particular cutely greeted you with a lot of enthusiasm before he dragged you up to his room
- So anyways you and Kihyun were having a really funny conversation, uncontrollably laughing and rolling around
- Then, you finally decided to start the prank officially
- "It's actually quite hot" you said as you fanned yourself before taking your hoodie off. You did this to show off the hickeys a lot more (you were also actually sweating lol).
- It only took him a couple minutes to notice.
- "then guess what he-"
- He didn't even have to say anything, you saw the discomfort on his face as he kinda just froze and a mix of disappointment, sadness and confusion filled his eyes
- "Babe what's wrong?" you asked.
- He gulped and looked at you then just said "uh, nothing".
- "Sure?"
- "...no. Sorry but am I not good enough for you? Did I do something, I-" his voice started to break.
- "Kihyun what are you talking about?"
- "You know exactly what I'm talking about!" he raised his voice a tad as he stood up.
- "If I'm not good enough you can just tell me rather than finding someone else right off the bat!" he said as the tears started to well up in his eyes.
- You felt really bad at this point and couldn'f drag it on any longer, you had to call it.
- "Kihyun, I'm so sorry, it's a prank." you said immediately taking him in your arms, stroking his back and hair.
- "Aaaaaahhhh y/nnnnn!!! Why did you do that?!"
- "I'm sorry I didn't think it would go this far, I promise I won't do it ever again. I could never do that to you, my love for you is too strong. It's just makeup by the way, heh" you told him reassuringly.
- "I was so upset. I thought you were cheating on me!" he said, releasing from the hug first.
- "No no no, I would never do that, I'm so sorry babe, you know I love you soooo much." you said kissing the tears off his cheeks.
- "I love you too y/n." he said back, hugging you once more.
HYUNGWON
- You went on a date with Hyungwon earlier today but you both had a drink so you got a taxi and came back to the dorms
- You figured that was completely fine since you have some of your stuff there for occasions like this, plus the Monsta X dorms are literally your second home anyway
- You had just finished taking a shower and now you were doing your skin care routine
- You then spotted an eyeshadow pallette from the corner of your eye and immediately remembered the prank you've been wanting to try on Hyungwon
- The hickey prank
- You quickly finished your skin care routine then applied some pinkish eyeshadow to two places round your collarbone
- You figured you'd place it there since during your date earlier your collarbone was covered by your shirt but now it's a bit more exposed by your pajamas
- Anyways you sort of covered up the fake hickeys with your hair and then with that you exited the bathroom to see your boyfriend laying on his stomach doing something on his phone
- His eyes lit up when he saw you and he immediately sat up and put his phone down while smiling at you
- "Thanks for earlier today by the way, I really enjoyed it." you said while smiling back at him.
- "My pleasure bubs." he said sweetly.
- When you placed your phone down you had to bend down ever so slightly and this caused the bit of hair that was covering your hickeys to move and expose the pink spots on your collarbone
- You realised this and prepares yourself mentally for what was to come
- You sat down on the bed with your back against the headboard
- The both of you remained in silence for good few seconds until you noticed Hyungwon taking a double take at your collarbone and finally speaking up, asking you "y/n those aren't.. hickeys, are they?"
- "Wha- what do you mean?"
- "On your- you sure they're not-" he was unable to speak as his eyes never left your collarbone as he scratched the back of his neck looking rather confuzzled.
- "You look awfully confused Hyungwon y'alright?" you asked him.
- "Y- yeah it's just that, if they're not hickeys then what are they?" he questioned with that confused expression never leaving his face.
- "Ummmm.." you broke eye contact to make it more believable and tried to look tense and it seemed to work 'cause he believed it.
- "Oh you're- you're being for real?" he said.
- You didn't answer
- "Oh- oh so was I just nothing to you then, is that what's going on? It's just that you had the audacity to fuck someone else and then go out with me, your supposed boyfriend, and expect me not to notice. I just wanna know what I did wrong, or am I just not good enough for you?"
- You actually looked over at him now and his expression looked so heartbroken that it made you feel horrible so you had to pull the plug there.
- "Okay- babe, it's a prank, I'm really sorry, I just wanted to see your reaction, I knew it would be priceless. It's just makeup." you told him and his face softened.
- "Oh my Loooordd" he grumbled as he threw himself back and covered his face in relief.
- "Nah you should've seen your face it was adorable." you said with a smile on your face.
- "You scared me so much y/n I thought.. I thought you were cheating on me." he said, barely managing to get those words out as he could simply never imagine it.
- "Don't ever think that, I could never do such a thing, your such and angel and I couldn't ask for a better boyfriend so don't ever think I'm cheating on you, hm?" you said to him as you cupped his face while staring into his eyes to make sure he understood.
- "Aaww love you bubs" he said, hugging you tightly.
- You returned the hug and then proceeded to search through Netflix to watch something while non-stop cuddling your boyfriend since you felt really bad.
JOOHONEY
- You were with him in his recording studio helping him compose Monsta X's new songs for their next album and also write lyrics.
- He didn't ask you to do that, all he asked for was company from you as he was feeling a bit stressed but then, you being a music producer aswell, you offered to help him and he agreed.
- You came straight from your studio as you'd just finished for the day anyway so you still had all your stuff on you.
- What he didn't know however, was that you were playing a prank on him just to see his reaction. You put pinky-purple makeup on a few places on your neck to make them look like hickeys before you came here, now you were just waiting for him to notice.
- "Babe, what do you think of this lyric here? I think it would fit really well with the vibe and message of the song." you said to him, turning your laptop screen towards him showing him a particular lyric that was on your word document of random lyrics that you just randomly thought of or heard someone say one day. Everytime a randomass lyric pops up in your head, or a random person says anything that sounds lyric-worthy, you write it down as you never know, it could be useful somewhere.
- So you showed him one and he actually liked the idea.
- "How would it sound though?" he asked.
- You suggested a couple different ways it could be sang in the song and he picked the one where you added a high note to it and said it would be perfect for a high note at the ending of the bridge.
- "That's probably gonna be Kihyun Hyung's line but I don't know I'll see." he said before turning back to his computer but stopping himself and doing a double take on your neck.
- 'Oh this should be good' you thought as you realised he's spotted the hickeys.
- He literally looked back and forth between your face and your neck with an expressionless face.
- You were already ready to burst out laughing but no matter how hard it was, you held it in, you had to.
- He tried to utter words out his mouth but he was failing miserably.
- He then leaned back in his chair and covered his mouth in realisation.
- "Who gave you those hickeys?" he asked, cutting straight to the point.
- "What?" you asked, playing dumb.
- "Don't play dumb y/n you can't not know that there's hickeys on your neck. So answer me, who gave you them 'cause I know damn well it wasn't me." he said sternly, getting more and more pissed.
- You decided to carry it on. You stuttered to make it seem more real and he was actually falling for it.
- "How can you do this to me? What did I do wrong? Am I a bad boyfriend? You could've said so instead of going off and sleeping with another gu-"
- He seemed pretty chill about it then but you spoke too soon when you said you wouldn't be ending it just yet because now you had to end it.
- "Jooheon, Jooheon, it's a prank. I'm so sorry, I knew your reaction would be priceless."
- He just stared at you with a smile.
- "Fuck off, that actually scared me. I thought I was a bad boyfriend to you or something!" he said, leaning forward and propping up his elbows on the table and covering his face with his hands.
- "Haha, I'm sorryyyy. But don't ever think your a bad boyfriend, you never have been, never will be, your perfect babe, I'd never leave you, I love you too much." you reassured his as you patted his back.
- "Aaawww I love you too y/n." he said before going in for a hug then a peck on your lips.
- And then you went back to working on the song.
I.M
- You two are in a practice room warming up to practice for the collab stage that your group and Monsta X are going to perform at kcon soon.
- It was just you two as the others had other things to attend to.
- You were just stretching while also chatting at the same time.
- Little did he know you put fake hickeys on your neck before coming here so you could prank him with it.
- You two were just doing a hamstring stretch and he glanced in the mirror. He saw something on your neck and squinted his eyes to see it better.
- "Wait..." he muttered as he got up from the stretch and walked closer to you as you got up aswell in 'confusion'.
- "He grabbed your face by your jaw gently and tilted it to the side and looked at your "hickeys" more close up.
- "y/n are those hickeys?" he had fire in his eyes as he cut straight to the chase when he let go of your face rather harshly.
- "What do you mean?" you asked.
- "Don't play dumb with me I'm not fucking blind. They're hickeys, aren't they? Who gave you them 'cause it sure as hell wasn't me." he asked, not even letting you answer his first question.
- He was FUMING.
- "Who is this other guy that you're seeing, huh?" he asked.
- "No one-"
- "Don't lie to me! I've done everything for you in the past six years of our relationship and also our three years of friendship before that and you toss all of that into the fucking fire by seeing some random dickface behind my back! What did I even do wrong y/n?!" he yelled this time, genuinly sounding hurt, but still angry aswell.
- You didn't want to carry it on any longer, it was already bad from the start.
- "Ok ok I'm sorry, it's... a prank." you said that as if you were about to say who it was that you were 'cheating with' but actually just revealed the fact.
- He dropped to the ground and hung his head.
- "I'm sorry babe I was not expecting that reaction." you said, slightly laughing as you got down and caressed his back.
- "Don't ever do that again" he said, looking up at you.
- "Sorryyyyy" you said, going in for an apologetic hug which he accepted right away.
- "I was curious girl, how could you do that? I thought I did something wrong or some shit" he said against your hair.
- "I'm so sorry baby I just wanted to see your reaction. But don't worry I'd never do something like that, I'd hate myself if I did because I couldn't ask for a better boyfriend than you." you reassured him, still in the hug.
- "Aaww I love you so much baby." he said as you both released from the hug. He had an adorable smile plastered on his face which you mimicked.
- "I love you too. Right, let's start shall we?" you said, getting up to go play the music.
