Kinn's POV – Past memories - red king's room.
[White King: It means our clans are officially at war.]
[Red King: War?! Why?!]
[White King: Your Red Queen is attacking our White Queen.]
[Red King: If not Pete, who is your white queen? And who is doing this? I can no longer find the Red Queen's key in my father's vault.]
[White King: We can discuss it later. For now, I'm heading to the White Queen's hiding place.]
[Red King: Where is it?]
[White King: Chumphon Island]
[Red King: What? Is the White Queen there?! Where? I can send my security from the Island to protect your white queen]
[White King: Really? That Island has been burning in flames for a while now...including your factory. You don't have security to call.]
[Red King: You can't be serious...My men in the factory would have called me!]
[White King: This is inside job.]
[Red King: Inside job?! Impossible! I'll send a team to Chumphon Island. I'm going there myself!]
[White King: You won't do anything.] (1)
[Red King: Who the hell you think you are to give me orders?! That island is our property! I'll deal with it!]
[White King: It's not. And we are claiming it back.]
[Red King: What nonsense are you saying now?!]
[White King: Chumphon Island belongs to the white queen.]
[Red King: Is this your plan?! Accuse us of attacking your clan to get that island back?!]
[White King: Actually, this is your Red Queen's revenge against your father. I suggest you stay where you are and wait.]
[Red King: You know who this Red Queen is.]
[White King: If I say The Red Queen is your lover, would you believe it?!]
[Red King: Porsche?!No! It's not just about the island! Pete's grandparents are there with Venice! Pete is there by now! Porsche would never put there lives at risk for revenge.]
[White King: ...If you say so...]
[Red King: I can't just sit and wait!]
[White King: Don't worry. I'll solve this matter. I'm going to get all my white chess pieces back.]
[Red King: What do you mean?]
Your guest left the room.
After that day, I could not contact Lian Wang through the Chess Room anymore until the day he came to The Main Family House with Pete, the new White Queen.

Lian's POV – Present (video conference with Kinn – refers to end of Chapter 68 – For the one I love -part 1)
"Is that so?! Do I have to give him back?!"
["Pete won't come back."]
"I'm referring to the boy."
["Which boy?!"]
"Macau."
["Will you kill him?!"]
"Why would I do that?! I'll marry him."
I glimpse the person pointing his gun at me while I talk to Kinn Theerapanyakul through the Video conference panel in my limousine .
His hand slightly trembles but he did not pull the trigger.
I give him a proud smile at his emotional control.
["What?!"]
"It is my right."
["What nonsense are you saying?!"]
"He was promised to me."
["By whom?!"]
"By his father."
Ah ha! That information makes my quiet observer unease.
["Vegas will never allow it."]
"So you better keep with our deal..."
["What deal?!"]
"That one we did at The Diamond Hotel. You still want your dear cousin Vegas out of your way, don't you?!"
[As I said, our deal ends here and now.]
Conference call is closed.
I turn my gaze to my guests.
"I thought you were the only emotionally unstable one, Vegas?!It seems you and your cousin are quite the same."
"Are you finished with your stupid jokes?! What kind of bullshit where you saying?!"
Suddenly the car door opens.
"About marrying Macau?!"
Macau widens his eyes at me while holding his brother's hand who is still pointing his gun at me. He glances at the bodyguard's face expression.
Pete's POV
"Stop it, brother, please!" When Arm and I get inside Lian's limousine, parked in the private jet hangar, we see Vegas holding a gun and Macau trying to stop him from shooting.
Not even an hour has passed since they've been in the car waiting while Arm and I were sending Porsche and Yim to Thailand with Khun Kinn...and they're about to start another fight. It reminds me of a distant past.
"No one will marry anyone here! Stop teasing him, for God's sake, Lian!"
I sit next to Lian.
Lian smiles and obediently raises his hands in surrender.
But not Vegas.
"Fuck Pete! You're not going to sit next to him!" Vegas pulls me by my left arm to sit next to him, so Macau sits next to Lian.
"This way suits better." Lian Wangs gives a cunning smile.
"Fuck, Macau! What are you doing there?!"
"But, hia, it was you who..."
"Sit here, Macau, please."
Arm gets up so that Macau can sit in his place, next to me and Arm next to Lian.
But...
"No thanks." Macau replies dryly to Arm. They are still awkward with each other.
"Macau, switch your fucking place with Arm."
The uncharacteristically harsh way in which Vegas spoke to Macau caused him to silently get up and switch places with Arm.
I noticed that Arm breathed a sigh of relief as he switched places with Macau.
I don't think Vegas did this out of consideration for Arm, but clearly Arm must have mentally thanked him.
"I was not teasing anyone...matter fact...when we last saw each other, Khun Kan said he considered me family...he said that if he had a daughter, he would be pleased to see us getting married...So I said 'Maybe I can marry one of your sons...' He never said he was against it."
"Marry you?!Disgusting"
"Of course I meant the cute one, Vegas, not you."
Lian winks seductively at Macau in front of him, who blushes and lowers his head.
Arm clenches his fists but remains silent as well.
"Look! Khun Kinn's jet is taking off." I point to the window to change the subject.
"That jet could crash along the way."
"Vegas..."
"What?! Aren't you being hypocritical, Pete?! You've been torturing your best friend for a week! Until the other day you swore to destroy all of them! Are you going to tell me that you've changed your mind now?! Kinn tried to kill me all this time! He teamed up with this bastard..." Vegas points to Lian "...to keep us apart! Why are you always in favor of Kinn?!"
I literally feel Vegas' anger since he is squeezing my wrist really tight while yelling at me.
I calmly speak.
"I am not. It's just that if they simply die, neither of us will get the revenge we want."
I pull my wrist from Vegas's hand.
Silence falls upon us.
Vegas takes my hand back and holds it tight. I turn my head to the other side, upset. I don't care if he regrets what he said. He better know we won't have sex tonight.
"Cousin Kinn called to Lian as you predicted, P'Pete..." Macau breaks the silence, talking to me.
"Yes... Khun Kinn no longer wants to continue with our agreement." Lian confirms. "That means I won't be able to know what he's up to against Vegas."
"Not that you were much help." Vegas replies, turning to Lian. "You ratted me out to him every single time, Wang. If it weren't for Tianshi, this little game of yours would continue."
"Tianshi?! How did you find him? Even I couldn't...I'm curious..."
Suddenly the car door opens again, by Vegas's side.
"I found this little piece of shit outside" Assistant Lee gets into the car with a gun in her hand, pushing Jade into a seat next to Vegas. She sits next to Lian. "Isn't it a little crowded in here?!"
"Oh, assistant Lee! You're here!"
"Hello, Macau, my baby! Thank you for showing some happiness to see me. You and my protégé finally together." Lee glances to Arm, smiling! But both Arm and Macau shrinks into their seats in silence. Assistant Lee notices the mood. "Ow...anyways...I'm the only girl among so many handsome men...all gay...for a moment life seems unfair."
"Die alone witch." Jade yells at Assistant Lee.
Lee glares to Jade like killing him on the spot.
"Calm down, Lee" Lian calms Assistant Lee down. "Jade is just a kid" Lian smiles.
"I should teach him some manners." Assistant Lee grits her teeth but then lets it go.
"I should know... it was you, Jade... You two have been spending a lot of time together lately... It seems like you both have become best friends again..." Wang smiles at Vegas.
"Like old times" Jade says, clinging to Vegas.
Unconsciously I pull my hand away from Vegas' hand again.
Vegas sided with that damn boy who had tried to kill me in the Chess Room.
"Fuck off." (in English) Vegas says coldly to Jade, pushing him away.
Jade shrugs and pouts.
Then Vegas takes my hand one o more time and holds it tight again, without taking his eyes from Lian. "Jade and I have a mutual interest in kicking your ass, that's all."
I feel at ease again.
Lian glances at Jade.
"It means Tianshi is hidden somewhere in China" Lian says. "Jade clan belongs to Chinese Triad...off course you are powerful enough to hide Tianshi. That's why you knew so much about Pete, right Jade?! I should have figured this out, kid."
"Don't ever fuck with me again, Lian."
"I won't" Lian smirks at him. "Will you be okay with that?!"
"..." Lian's double meaning answer makes Jade open the door and leave.
"Is he gone?!" Lee asks "I was expecting some outburst from your spoiled ex-lover, Lian"
"You're so heartless, Lee."
"Me?! How about you?!"
The car door opens on Arm's side, making us jolt.
Jade sits next to Arm, making everyone shift in our seats again.
Unexpectedly, he hugs Arm tightly.
"I'm perfectly okay with "that", asshole" Jade replies to Lian from his seat.
Arm struggles unsuccessfully to get away from Jade.
Macau looks away, in silence.
I'm not sure what is happening between Arm and Macau. I guess I'll have to figure this out later.
"Lock the fucking doors." (in English) Vegas orders through the speaker.
"Allow me." Assistant Lee repeats the order in mandarin.
"Shall we continue?!" Lian says to Vegas.
"It was not that hard making your angel talk." Vegas smiles cunningly.

Vegas POV (Past memories)
After a long time in a hand-to-hand fight with him, I can finally immobilize Tianshi. I hold his arms behind his back.
"Your clan is so arrogant about white clan's training. But you're not the only one trained to kill, bitch."
"Can't we solve this in another way, Khun Vegas?!" Tianshi speaks in a seductive tone.
"Do you think you can seduce me?! Why should I have the fake one when I have the real deal, huh?!" I kick Tianshi's legs, making him kneel "Now, tell me everything before I take your wings out, my dear dark angel. And don't even think of lying to me. I've had enough bullshit from your clan."
"I am not a traitor, Khun Vegas!"
"Just a deserter, I guess. After so much effort to be free, if you don't want to talk to me, be a loyal dead man."
After thinking for a bit, Tianshi opens his mouth.

Pete's POV
"Impressive, Vegas. Tianshi is a great fighter. He's not easy to subdue." Lian praises Vegas
"I'm capable of anything for the one I love." Vegas says firmly.
"Cute."
The time we were apart, Vegas really did everything he could to get me back.
With Jade's help, he located Tianshi.
Vegas made Tianshi tell everything he knew about Khun Kinn's plans and his involvement with Sanya and Lian.
Maybe I can reconsider and give Vegas some attention tonight...
Oh, why am I so soft on him?!
"After an efficient persuasion, Tianshi told me about Kinn's assassination order against me...and your deal with him, you bastard." Vegas continues arguing with Lian.
"Believe it or not, I had nothing to do with your cousin's attempts to kill you, Vegas. It was between Kinn and Sanya." Lian glances at me. "My only concern was protecting Pete through our delivery order. The first time I met Kinn was in that Room 1004, where you handcuffed Pete." Lian winks at me. Bastard. "Yes, Lee gave him information about you and Porsche, but we never committed to killing you."
"Really..." (in English).
"You're not dead, are you?! All this time Lee was spying on you, she was also protecting you... that's how she knew Pete hired a bodyguard to secretly protect you too. Lian looks at me again and smiles. "You see?! Both my rook and my queen were taking good care of you! Just as promised to Khun Kan."
"You always talk about a promise to my father! Stop using him in your lies!"
"He's not lying, Vegas." Lee intervenes "It's not a lie." Observing Vegas's expression of disbelief, Lee glances at me than turns to Arm. "Arm, do you recognize Pete's necklace?!"
"Uh... yeah... Khun Vegas gave it to me to insert a tracker... and then he gave it to Pete."
"Think harder, dear...that was not the only time you saw that necklace."
"What the heck are you trying to prove?! I got that necklace from my father's vault a long time ago!" Vegas interrupts assistant Lee.
"Wait, Vegas..." I turn to Arm "Have you seen my necklace some other time?!"
Arm narrows his eyes...
Macau and Jade stare at Arm.
Lian slightly smile to me and says: "This necklace belonged to your mother, Pete."
"W-what?!" Instinctively, I hold tight to the little phoenix attached to my necklace.
"YES!I remember! In the Chess Room!" Arm shouts right after! "That necklace pendant is exactly like the hologram key you gave me to access the Chess Room files, Assistant Lee."
"What does it mean?!Why Khun Kan had it?!" I demand an answer.
I feel Vegas' gaze on me.
"Shut the fuck up, Lian." Vegas warn him. His voice trembles.
This is the first time Vegas calls him Lian after more than 14 years.
"Let him talk, Vegas."
I turn to him.
But Vegas keeps staring at Lian.
Although Vegas has a fierce expression on his face, I can see it in his eyes.
It's fear.

Vegas POV
That motherfucker. Is he going to tell Pete my father was responsible for his mother's death?!

Hey guys! I keep apologizing for not finishing this fanfic because there are so many gaps to explain.
This is not last chapter, but Kinns' reminiscence dialogues are over.
I also apologize for the delay in updating all my stories. I've been busy at my real job. And besides, my husband rightly scolded me for paying little attention to our child because I was doing so many things at the same time. So I had to sacrifice some things to do the right thing and get my life in order. I really love writing and it helps me to be less stressed, but family comes first.
