Over the week Bela started feeling more self conscious and under confident around Sumitra because she thought Sumitra didn't accepted her and wasn't happy with her being her son's wife.She couldn't share this with anyone as she didn't wanted anyone to worry about her,she couldn't share it with Mahir because she didn't wanted him to feel bad or his relationship with her or his mother to get ruined,so she kept these thoughts with herself and became more quite and zoned about most of the time.
Sumitra on the other hand was gelling in quite well with the rest of the family and was trying to remake the bond she had with her kids in the past,she was trying to understand Ishan and give him time to accept her.
Mahir on the other hand has been noticing Bela's behaviour and he was worried for her,he had tried to ask her numerous times what's wrong but she would just shrug it away.
"Bela what's the matter with you??mein itne dino se puchne ki koshish kr raha hu?tum kuch bata hi nhi Rahi ho,apne aap mein hi reh Rahi ho??"why are you so sad these days?hua kya h?family ki yaad aa rahi h kya??"He asked her for the nth time that week and Bela still said.
"Kuch nhi bas work stress h thoda,thik ho jayega thode dino mein"Bela said.
"Mom ne kuch kaha kya??"He asked and Bela looked at him wide eyed and he understood this was the matter.
"Nhi unhone mujhe kuch nhi kaha h"Bela said hurriedly and she was a terrible lier and each time Mahir would catch her when she lied to him,now was no different,but he let it slide and thought of having a conversation with his mother about it without stressing out his wife.
"Fine,but agar tum thode dino mein normal nhi hui na toh mein tumhare dadu ko call kr dunga"Mahir said and Bela nodded assuring him everything was fine.

"Yaha kya kr rahi aap?"Mahir asked his mother as he saw her sitting by the poolside with her feet dipped in the pool,he sat beside her dipping his own feet in them.
"Kuch nhi aise hi bethi thi,tu kab aaya??aaj jaldi aa gaya hospital se"Sumitra asked him and he nodded.
"Aaj kaam jaldi ho gaya tha"Mahir said.
There was a silence for a few mins and then Mahir broke it by asking.
"Aapke aur Bela ke beech kuch tension h kya?"Mahir asked and Sumitra frowned.
"Nhi,kyu kuch hua h kya?"Sumitra said.
"Nhi meine notice Kiya ki aap dono zyada baat nhi krte"Mahir said.
"Mein hi sawal puchti Hu usse,woh kaha kuch bolti h"Sumitra said.
"Woh introvert h mom, hesistant ho jaati h thoda,thode time mein she will mix well"Mahir assured her.
"Tu kahi apni biwi ki wakalat toh nhi krne aaya h yaha?"Sumitra teased him.
"Wakalat krne ke liye usse mujhe apna waqil banana padega,jo usne Kiya nhi h"Mahir said.
"Bela acchi ladki h Mahir,bas tujhse bht alag h"Sumitra said with honesty.
"I know,hum dono mein zameen aasaman ka farak h"Mahir said.
"Tune yeh shadi kisi dabav mein toh nhi ki h na??I mean sirf isliye kyuki dad ko woh pasand thi ya kyuki Andy ne usse choose Kiya tha?"Sumitra asked him the question she was dying to ask him since she had heard of his marriage.
"Mom,aapko lagta h mein dad ko ya dadu ko khush krne ke liye kisi bhi ladki se shadi kr lunga??"Mahir asked chuckling at the end and Sumitra shook her head,she knew how stubborn her son was.
"Toh?aapne soch bhi kese liya ki meine kisi dabav mein aakr shadi ki h"Mahir said.
"Pr yeh arranged marriage h na?aur Andy ne usse choose Kiya tere liye"Sumitra said.
"Haa baba,dad ne hi pasand kiya tha Bela ko mere liye aur dadu bhi khush the isse,but meine sirf isliye haa nhi ki shadi ke liye"Mahir said.
"Toh kyu haa ki?"Sumitra asked.
"Aap promise Karo mujhe chidaoge nhi aur yeh baatein sirf hum dono ke beech rahengi "Mahir said and Sumitra raised an eyebrow at that but promised him anyway.
"Meine usse dekha tha Shadi se pehle 3-4 baar,aur mujhe woh acchi lagi thi tab"Mahir said.
"Aur Andy ne isliye usse tere liye choose Kiya?"Sumitra asked.
"Nhi,unka totally alag reason tha Bela ko select krne ka,woh aap unse puchiyega but mera luck accha tha ki jis ladki ko unhone pasand kiya aur jo ladki mujhe pasand aayi thi woh dono same nikli,toh meine haa kardi,meri toh mehnat Bach gayi na sabko batane ki,ki mujhe koi aur pasand h,inko lagta h meine inke kehne pr ki h,aap plzz kisi ko batana mat yeh,mujhe bht chidayenge "Mahir pouted at the end and Sumitra chuckled.
"Badi aasani se tujhe yeh mil gayi phir toh,logo ko bht papad belne padte h"Sumitra exclaimed.
"Koi asani se nhi mili h,iske dadu ko laga tha ki humne rishta unki dusri poti ke liye Diya h,woh misunderstanding ho gayi pehele hi,iss bichari ko toh pata hi nhi ki iske liye rishta aaya h"Mahir said.
"Phir?"
"Phir kya,clear hua sab toh mein aur yeh akele baat krne Gaye,jaha yeh kuch boli hi nhi apne naam ke alawa"Mahir said laughing and Sumitra chuckled as well.
"Toh aage kya hua?"Sumitra asked.
"Kuch zyada hi interest nhi le rahi aap?"Mahir said.
"Tu chup chap bata na kya hua?"Sumitra said.
"Uske baad ek hafte tak Inka koi reply nhi aaya,then decide hua ki hum coffee ke liye milte h jaha mein usse chod aaya kuch emergency ki wajah se"Mahir said.
"How bad Mahir!!"Sumitra gasped.
"Mom emergency thi hospital mein,meine apology ke liye phir usse dinner pr bulaya and then we finally talked clearly"Mahir said.
"Phir??"Sumitra asked eagerly.
"Usne haa kr di"Mahir said.
"Hehhhhh!!!!! aise kese haa kr di??sirf 3 mulaqat mein??ek baar baat krke??"Sumitra asked.
"Bela ko itna milna julna pasand nhi tha tab,bola na she is shy"Mahir said.
"Phir bhi kese pata lagta h ek meeting mein ki ladka sahi h ya nhi"Sumitra pointed out.
"Mein kya koi daku lagta hu aapko?"Mahir said.
"Teri baat nhi kr rahi,ingeneral bol rahi hu"Sumitra said.
"Toh kya hua,meine sab sach bola tha usse,usse mein honest laga,uski dadi ko mein already pasand tha toh usne haa kardi,uske liye uske dadu dadi ka opinion bht matter krta h wese bhi"Mahir said.
"Yeh kya scene h bhai?mujhe nhi samajh aata yeh?koi apne dada dadi se itna close kese hota h?"Sumitra asked and Mahir sighed.
"Bela bachpan se apne dadu dadi ke saath Punjab rahi h while uske mom dad aur baaki family yaha Mumbai mein the,that's why she is so close to them"Mahir said.
"Kyu??uske parents ne kyu nhi rakha usse??"Sumitra asked.
"Mom that is not my story to tell, besides uski nhi banti uski mom dad se itni bas yahi scene h,I mean they just have very civil and formal conversation she isn't very open and cosy with them"Mahir said and Sumitra nodded.
"Din mein 50 baar call krti h yeh apni dadi ko ek ek second ki kabar deti h,roz baat krna fix h iska"Mahir chuckled at that.
"Woh toh meine notice Kiya hi h"Sumitra said as she had seen Bela talking to her dadi everyday without fail.
"Tu khush h na uske saath??"Sumitra asked.
"Offcourse,she has made my life a lot more easier and better,ab mujhe samajh aata h jab dad bolte the you brought him peace toh iska matlab kya hota h, pehel mein sochta tha how can a person bring you peace but now I get it"Mahir said staring into the water.
"Mein bas teri khushi chahati hu "Sumitra said keeping her hand on his shoulder.
"Trust me Bela se zyada mujhe koi khush nhi kr sakta,she is perfect for me"Mahir said.
"Someone is in deep love"Sumitra teased him.
"Itna obvious h kya??"Mahir asked.
"Kyu nhi??jese tu usko dekhta h sab dikh jaata h"Sumitra said.
"Wese kitni clumsy h,mein toh jab dekhu girti padti hi rehti h"Sumitra said after sometime.
"Bht clumsy h,kuch na bhi ho toh bhi girr jaati h"Mahir said chuckling.
"Aur itna kaam kyu krti h yeh mujhe nhi samajh aata?"Sumitra said.
"Ab yeh toh mujhe bhi nhi pata,shauk h madam ko sab khud se krneka,hum sab toh day one se keh rahe h koi zarurat nhi h"Mahir said.
"Khana toh accha banati h na pr??Mahir asked and Sumitra nodded.
"Tu pura joru ka gulam ban Jaa"Sumitra teased him.
"Mein nhi hu koi joru ka gulam,pyaar ke liye krna padta h,dad ne bhi Kara hoga aapke liye"Mahir teased her instead while Sumitra ignored his statement.
"Haathon mein swaad toh h uske"Sumitra said.
"Meine Jo pasand ki h"Mahir said self praising himself and Sumitra rolled his eyes at it.

"Andy aapne Bela ko kyu choose Kiya Mahir ke liye???"Sumitra asked her husband as they retired to their rooms post dinner.
Andy raised an eyebrow at her in questioning.
"Arre meine mere bete ki shadi miss ki h toh bas jananna h mujhe Bela ke baare mein thoda"Sumitra said.
"Now Sumi,jo bhi tum karo ek baat yaad rakhna Bela and Mahir are now married and quite in love as well,toh plzzz just accept this fact okay?nothing can be changed now,Bela acchi ladki h"Andy said already defending his only DIL.
"aap sabko yeh kyu lagta h ki mein Bela se nafrraat krti hu??mein toh sirf puch rahi hu out of curiosity bas aur kya?"Sumitra said and Andy sighed in relief hearing that.
"Meine ek charity gala mein dekha tha usse, Singhaniya's ne hi organise Kiya tha woh,bas I thought she was perfect for Mahir and if you don't know Mahir bhi usse Shadi ke pehele se pasand krta tha,Shivaay ne bataya tha mujhe but you don't need to tell it to anyone okay?"Andy said and Sumitra nodded already knowing this as Mahir himself told her that.
"Mahir se bht alag h woh bas isliye mujhe chinta thi ki kahi woh Mahir ke liye sahi h ya nhi,pr I know Mahir usse pyaar krta h,aakhir mein usse khush hi dekhna chahti hu"Sumitra said.
"Let me tell you Mahir is lucky to have her as his wife,wrna usse iss Janam mein toh aisi biwi nhi milti,aaj kal ke time mein kaha itni suljhi hui matured ladki milti h?"Andy said praising Bela as he always does.
"Mera mahir bhi koi kam thodi h,itna toh handsome h,itna well mannered acche ghar ka h,aur upar se neurosurgeon h mera beta,usske liye toh ladkiyon ki line hi lag jaayegi"Sumitra said praising her son.
"That is not what I meant,aur ladkiya bht mil jayengi pr Bela jaisa koi nhi milega usse kabhi,she is different "Andy said with a smile.
"Aap apni bahu ki sidele rahe h ab"Sumitra pointed out.
"Haa,kyuki she deserves it,since the day she has married and come to this house she has proven her worth and her value and also the fact that she is the right DIL for this house "Andy said.
"Aisa bhi kya kr diya h usne ki aap sab uski tareefen krte thakte nhi???Ishan toh jab dekho lattu ki tarah gol gol ghumta h uske,dad bhi tareef krne se thakte nhi h uski,aur aapne toh usse wese hi puri freedom di hui h,baaki sab bhi bhabhi bhabi hi krte rehte h"Sumitra asked as she still didn't understood how so quickly Bela became this important for everyone,she isn't jealous or anything she just wants to know what Bela's done for all this love and acceptance.
"I don't know why you yourself can't see it??tum logo ko acche se parekh hi leti ho"Andy said.
"Arre pr mujhe yeh nhi samajh aa rha ki Bela ne aisa kya kr diya ki usse itna pyaar krte h aap sab,aisa lagta h woh iss ghar ki beti h aur Mahir ghar jamai"Sumitra said chuckling at the last part.
"Trust me when I say this,she is a blessing for this family,woh kehte h na kisi ke kadam shubh hote h Ghar ke liye?that is the case with her,she has only brought happiness in this house since the day she has arrived,she has made this house a home after years,ek aurat ki presence zaruri hoti h Ghar ke liye and after years of only males in this house,yeh ghar badal sa gaya tha,she made it right,I really owe her a lot and I can't give it back in this life"Andy said.
"What do you mean you owe her??"Sumitra asked getting confused.
"You don't know??I though Mahir tumhe saari report de dega about the past months"Andy said.
"Baataya usne mujhe pr yeh waali baat nhi batati"Sumitra said and Andy knew now no matter what his wife would want to know what happened.
"Bela ka accident ho gaya tha 1 saal pehle from a truck,and it was quite serious I mean she was very critical,was in coma for two weeks and had severe multiple injuries,but then she recovered by god's grace,a few months ago only she joined her work back,she was on rest for 6 months"Andy said as he remembered those days.
Sumitra gasped hearing that,Bela wasn't her favourite yet but still she had enough humanity to feel bad for a person who has suffered so much.
"Aise kese accident ho gaya???yeh ladki itni careless h na Andy,hamesha girti padti rehti h,thoda dhyan dena chahiye na......
Sumitra ranted about Bela's carelessness thinking it was the reason for her accident.
"Uski galti nhi thi baba,woh Ishan ko bachane ke chakkar mein uska accident ho gaya tha"Andy said and Sumitra gave him a confused look.
"Dono shopping pr gaye the,Ishan ne dhyan nhi Diya aur dusri side se truck aa rahi thi,Bela ne usse hata diya pr khud hat hi nhi payi aur accident ho gaya uska,uske baad se toh Ishan aur close ho gaya Bela se, isliye toh ghumta rehta h pure din uske irt girt,Bela also cares for him deeply,mujhe aakr samjhane Beth jaati h uske liye,baaki koi pareshan kare toh unko bhi jhadd deti h ki usse kuch na bole woh chota h,usi ne shey dekr bigada bhi h usse aur wahi strict hokr usse sudharti bhi h,aur Ishan bhi kaha sunta h ab kisi ki,pr bhabhi ne bol Diya toh turant Maan jayega"Andy said smiling and Sumitra was shocked beyond words,that girl saved her son without thinking of her own life,if not for her maybe she wouldn't see Ishan today.
"Usne Ishan ko bachaya??"Sumitra whispered and Andy nodded.
"Sumi,I know she is very different from Mahir,they are poles apart,woh ladki thodi pagal si bhi h,baccho jesi harkatein krti h kabhi kabhi,bht clumsy bhi h aur pata nhi kya kya kamiya h usmein but she has a golden heart and Mahir usse bht pyaar krta h,so just try to accept her the way she is,try to be good to her,once the ice breaks between you two,you will realise how nice she is and how perfect she is for this house"Andy said and Sumitra just listened and then nodded.
