"Korra Sasaki, a 18 year old girl who attended Republic city high school, was the face under the mask of the Blue spirit. She is also known as Korra, the missing Princess of the southern watertribe and missing Avatar" He repeated what he heard on the news.

Korra didn't know what to say to the man. He just kept talking "That night, you cried wanting to save her" He started to cry "You wanted to save her, but they didn't let you... this sound crazy but, even though you beat the living shit out of me, I wished I had the strength to stop that man from stopping you, I knew at that very moment you were her only hope."

"I'm sorry" Korra said looking down at herself

"It's not your fault, you reacted out of instinct-" she caught him off "How could you say that? she only wanted to help you, because I could've ki-"
"killed me?" he sighed "I don't believe that, you know what I believe" he stood quiet for a moment "if my sister didn't interfere, we both would've walked out of there alive, because you weren't mad at me, but at someone else, I might have been beaten badly, but, I know I saw"

"Which is?" she asked curiously

"Someone who was tired of doing what they do, You cried while you did what you did" he confessed "You punches became weak, now that I know your story, it makes even more sense"

"I-I don't know what you're talking about" she cleared her throat

"Please, I'm not just a cop, I'm also a criminal psychologist, I get in the minds of criminals." he sighed "your case is different than any of my clients, you're the first hand made criminal" He got up and placed his hand on her shoulder "I can never blame you for my sister's death, I blame the people who made you into their weapon" he said and Korra looked into his eyes "You tried to save her, you still have light in you" he said waking away leaving Korra alone with Jazlynn.

Korra fell to her knees "I'm sorry" she whispered to the stone. "I promise to keep your family safe" She bowed her head before placing the first bouquet of flowers next to the others.

-----

Asami and the group made it to republic city. Normally Asami would go home with Korra but this time was different. She ended up asking Opal for a ride to the estate, she was just going to stay with her dad.

Once Asami was home, Hiroshi grabbed her into a hug "I heard about everything" he whispered. That broke Asami.

"I'm really sorry dad" She cried

"No pumpkin, don't be sorry" He held her close. "come on, let's get you some food" he walked her to the kitchen. He placed a pot on the stove with water, once the water came to a boil he took out a box of spaghetti and threw it in the water. While that cooked he started to make tomato sauce from scratch. Asami watched as her father was cooking, she couldn't remember the last time she seen him cook.

Hiroshi came up to her with a plate and sat next to her on the table. Asami thanked him and took a bite "It tastes just like mom's" she smiled

"Oh please" he laughed "Mom's tastes just like mine, I'm the one that taught her how to make it"

"I didn't know that" she looked at him curiously

"For our first date, I invited her over for dinner. Since I was too broke to take her out to a fancy restaurant, I cook for us. This is what I made" He smiled at the memory. "When we had you, I was always busy at work, I couldn't cook, it was always your mother cooking. You complained about eating the same thing that I stayed up late at night making this for you, so all your mother did was warm it up for lunch or dinner"

"Really?" Asami was surprised

"Yes, this was your favorite" he chuckled "you didn't mind eating spaghetti over and over, but only this spaghetti, no store bought, no other restaurant, your mother had me stay up one night to teach her how to make it" he smiled " I miss your mother" he sighed

"me too"

"I actually was going to go visit her today" He gave a warm half smile "Would you like to join me?" he asked earning a nod. They finished up eating and cleaned after themselves before they got in the car and headed out. As Hiroshi parked the car he let out a sigh "This is the first time in 6 years, I'm seeing your mother" he confessed. "Have you seen her?" he asked

"It's been a year" she sighed "I use to come here when I ran away from home" she confessed "I'd talk to her, and cleaned her stone"

"I'm sorry Asami" he sighed "I'm glad we can do this together" Hiroshi smiled as Asami wrapped her arm around his. They made it to the stone that said the name 'Yasuko Sato'. That's when they both noticed a bouquet of Sunflowers, roses, fire Lillies and tulips. 4 of Yasuko's favorite flowers.

They looked at each other confused. Hiroshi went on his knees to meet his wife, but Asami still looked around for who left the flowers. Then she saw her, she saw the back of Korra making her way up a hill with her hands in her pocket.

Once the avatar made her way up the hill, she turned around to look at Yasuko again, only to meet Asami's green eyes from a distance. Her heart ached as they stood staring at each other for what felt like a life time.

Korra broke the eye contact and got in her car to leave.

Asami's heart ached, she thought about everything Opal and Jinora said. Maybe they were right. She sat next to her father who was preying as she was staring at the stone. "I wish mom was here" Asami said.

"I do to pumpkin, I do too" He said in a saddened voice. "Maybe if she was still alive, I-I wouldn't have..." he couldn't bring himself to say it

Asami knew the next words, she sighed "I don't know if I'll ever bring myself to forgive you" she said as she hugged herself.

"I know"

"but I'm willing to try and rebuild a relationship with you" She said leaning her head on his shoulder "For her. It's what she would've wanted" she said.

"She also would want you to talk to Korra" He said catching her a bit off guard.

"I don't even know how to start a conversation with her" Asami sighed

"For starters, you can thank her for the flowers she gave your mother" He said.

--------

Korra made it home and took off her jacket and placed it on the couch. She found Justin asleep on his bed. She went to his bed side a sat down on the chair.

Jenny didn't say anything. She just warmed up some leftovers and handed the plate to Korra. The Avatar ate the food and washed the dishes.

"Hey, I'm going to the stores to get groceries with Gommu, you need anything?" Jenny said to the girl

"No I'm Ok" Korra gave her a warm smile then the two left.

Korra went to check on Naga, who was outside. "You know you can come inside now" She spoke to her wolf "You won't get in trouble now" She smiled when Naga quickly ran inside the house pushing the Avatar aside.

Korra walked into the house hearing coughing. She quickly made her way to Justin who should her his hand covered in blood. She went to grab a wet napkin and a dry one. She cleaned up his hand. She can tell how scared Justin was.

"You wanna play Mario Kart?" She asked wanting to take his mind off things

"Sure" He smiled as Korra got up to set up the Nintendo Switch.

-Asami's Pov-

I made it to Korra's door step, I took in a breath before lifting my hand to knock till I stopped myself. "I shouldn't be here"

"Asami?" A voice spoke behind me catching my attention.

"Jenny, it's been a while" I smiled at the girl who carried groceries and then I noticed Gommu behind the girl also carrying groceries "You guys need help?" I offered

"That would be great" Jenny smiled "There's 2 bags left in the car"

I went to grab the bags and followed the other 2 people into the house. I placed the bags next to the others on the Kitchen table.

"I'm going to be cooking butter chicken with jasmine rice, would you be staying for dinner?" Jenny asked not earning an answer from me "I know what happened between you and Korra." She said making me look at her. "She'll wait as long as she has to, I know that, but I know that it hurts her more the longer she waits"

"I know, that's why I'm here" I let out a sigh. "I want to fix things"

"She's probably in the living room with Justin" She said and I guess she knew my next question when she said "Justin's not doing too good, they sent him home so.. you know." she cleared her throat "Korra won't leave his side."

I nodded my head and went to the living room. There was a hospital bed in the living room with a sleeping boy and next to him on the bed was her, the one I wanted to see, asleep. I looked over to the tv seeing Mario Kart. They must have fell asleep mid game.

I turned off the tv and made my way to the 2 taking their controllers putting them away. I sat on the seat that was next to the bed. I didn't know what to do, I grabbed Korra's hand thinking about everything Opal said. She was right, Korra meant everything me. "I'm Sorry" I whispered to the sleeping girl.

I felt her hand grip mine, her thumb rubbed over my knuckles, then she froze. She turned her head to me and slowly opened her eyes "Asami" she spoke and my heart raced.

"Can we talk?" I looked down at myself.

"O-of course" She stuttered. She got up trying not to wake the boy. "Did you want to talk here or go for a drive?" She asked.

"Remember that spot you took us that one time?" I said "The one with the view of the city"

She nodded, she had a warm smile, but I can tell she tried hard to hide it. She put on her shoes, grabbed her keys and told Jenny that she'll be back in time for dinner. We got outside to get in the car and of course, nothing changed, Korra opened the door for me.

They car ride was silent. But we knew we were both thinking of what to say to each other when the time came. We finally made it to the spot. Korra turned off the car.

We looked at the sun that started to set.

"Thank you... for the flowers you gave to my mother" I said looking out my window.

"Y-yeah" She said, she was more nervous than me.

"So, you're the Avatar, the Blue Spirit, and the princess of the southern water tribe" I said really not knowing what to say "How long have you known you were the Avatar... or the princess?"

"Don't call me a princess, that's.... weird" Korra said making me chuckle a bit.

"Fine, royalty"

"I guess I always known I was the Avatar, I just didn't know being able to bend all 4 elements came with a title" She shrugged "Being the missing daughter of the chief of the southern water tribe... I just found out this year. it's fucked up but, Mr. Tenzin was the one that told me, well not me but the whole class."

"You figured out that when he said the missing Avatar was the daughter of the Chief" I said earning a nod.

"Asami, I swear that I wanted to tell you" She said "I couldn't bring myself to do it, I was worried I'd..I'd lose you" She then looked into my eyes. "and I still did" She sighed looking down at herself

"How long have you known... about my mother?" I asked

"I didn't know until you told me" She grabbed my hand "I promise, that's when I found out"

I looked down at our hands holding each other. I let out a sigh, before I could say anything, Korra spoke again "I now you can't trust me right now or maybe ever, but please, give me a chance. I'd do anything to keep you in my life" I can hear it in her voice she wanted to cry "Asami, I-I love you"

Those words filled my heart, I couldn't help but cry a bit myself, the fact that I was going to never talk to her again "I love you too Korra, but please, you can't keep anything from me anymore."

"I promise" She said

"Is there anything else I should know about" I said and I noticed her look away. "Korra?"

"I may or may not have over 2.5 Billion dollars" Korra said looking away

"You what?!?!" I was in shock "Korra please tell me it's not stol-"

"Oh no it most definitely is" She said laying her head back.

"Korra. You have to return that money"

"See there's a problem with that" She gave me a innocent smile that wasn't so innocent. "See it's not physical cash, I have a collection of drives, each one containing money. Every time we did a bank heist, I would hack into the system and take money from the bank accounts"

"Korra"

"What? I made sure to take it from people that were stupidly rich, they didn't even notice their money gone" she waved it off

"Why have you been taking money?" I questioned

"I wanted to runaway, I didn't like what I was doing, I didn't like being with my fa-... with Zaheer" She sighed "After I opened that portal, and everyone was ok, i was going to leave, forever"

"And you were just going to leave me like that?"

"What!? No of course not!... I was planning to take you with me" She confessed. "Like I said, I'd do anything to keep you in my life"

At the moment, I couldn't help but think about what it would be like if it was just me and Korra. The thought of it made me happy. I couldn't help but bring Korra's face to mine having our lips touch into a passionate kiss.

The kiss broke and her blue eyes looked into my green ones "Are we okay?" she whispered. I let out a soft giggle "We are" I whispered back before she pulled me into another kiss.

I felt at peace again. I can't picture a life without her. We came staring at each like we were sharing one mind. But then I thought about something.

"My father's stupidly rich" I raised an eyebrow

"You know what... maybe I stole from him"

"Korra!"

"I'm not sure" she put her hands up. "he's a dick anyway"

"He's doing better" I said as a matter of factly but all I got was an eye roll. "So, what now?" I asked her "Are you going back to the south?"

"Not yet" she let out a sigh

"Justin?" I asked earning a nod from her. "What about school?"

"I can't go back" She confessed "My face was all over the news this morning, everyone knows me as a monster"

We were silent for a while. "Can I ask what it was like growing up with them?"

"Stressful, I had to be and act a certain way. I had to keep things from other people, my life was in constant danger. But, I learned a lot from them. Zaheer taught me to be empathetic, to view life in other people's shoes. P'Li taught me patience... well to try and not get overly angry. Ghazan... he taught me everything" She smiled mentioning his name. I already knew the first day I met Ghazan, he was her favorite.

"He taught me to read, write; only because I wanted it to be him to teach me. How to drive, open doors for other women" she said making us laugh "He even taught me how to shave a mustache" she laughed at the memory "He would put shaving cream on my face and handed me a razor with the cap on it"

I could tell even though Zaheer was supposed to be her father figure, Ghazan was the man she looked up to. "I remember, the first time the 5 of us met, I didn't talk to any of them. He came and offered me a cookie"

"An Oreo?" I asked earning a nod making us both chuckle

"Since then, I was more attached to him."

"What about..." She knew who I was taking about

"Just water bending and healing" She shrugged "She was too professional, never really had fun moments with her, unless it had to do with bullying Ghazan"

Before another word was said her phone rang. She picked up the phone and spoke to them then hung up "Jenny's ready for us to come home and eat" She said earning a nod from me.

We got to the house and ate together. I'm glad everything worked out because everything felt right again.

-end of pov-

-1 week later-

Korra started working at the gym, like Jenny always wanted, since she couldn't go back to school. Some of the people from the gym recognized her from the news but slowly she became a less recognized.

Asami continued going to school and her job at her father's company. She took her father's job offer in becoming the manager and be his business partner.

---

Asami was currently in her new office, it was 6 o'clock, and she was filing some paperwork. A knock on her door caught her attention "Come in" She said as she closed one of the filing cabinets. Her assistant walked in with 3 folders. "Hey Zeke" she said as she sat on her office chair.

He quickly bowed "Hello miss Sato" he said and place the folders on her desk "your father asked for you to file these as well"
Asami sighed in exhaustion.
"If you like I can help you out" He offered

"No, it's ok, thank you Zeke" She said earning a nod.

He was about to leave her office till he stopped at the doorway and turned to face her "Miss Sato"

"Yes Zeke?" She looked into his eyes making him clear his throat. "I-uh, I was wondering if you'd like to grab a coffee sometime."

Asami raised her eyebrow "Um...Coffee would be nice"
"Great, it's a date" he smiled
'here's the thing, 1. I have a girlfriend, 2. our parents are...dating which he still doesn't know' "right, um about that-"She was cut off mid sentence
"Now you're right. Your my boss and that's unprofessional" He waved off.
"That and I actually ha-" She was cut off mid sentence again but this time by a knock on the door frame catching both their attention. Asami smiled at the site. "Korra" she smiled as she said her name.

"Hey Turbo" Korra chuckled as she entered the room "I brought you these" she place a vase of fire lilies, Asami's favorite flower. "for your new office" Korra said as she looked around the room.

"Thank you, Korra, they're beautiful" Asami smiled as she stared into Korra's eyes till a man cleared his throat. "Right, Korra this is Zeke, my assistant" She introduced the man who held out his hand "Zeke this is Korra, my girlfriend" Korra took the man's hand shacking it.

"Girlfriend?" The man was a bit stunned "Does Hiroshi kn-" before he can finish the man he mentioned walked in. "Mr. Sato?!" Zeke quickly bowed.

"Hey guys" Hiroshi said feeling the tension in the room, it was quiet for a moment. The older man cleared his throat before talking "Anyway, Asami, we were invited to a car show, next week, it's the biggest one this year" He smiled handing her a the flier he received. "You can bring a plus one" He smiled and looked over to Korra who was avoiding any eye contact with him.

Asami looked at Korra and noticed her mood shift. She looked over to her father and raised an eyebrow "Will you be bringing a plus one?" she asked making him a bit nervous. "Well of course" he chuckled out. He then looked at Zeke "Zeke mind giving us the room, there's something I need to discuss with these 2"

"yes sir" he bowed and left the room closing the door behind him.

"Asami I already tol-" he was cut off

"I don't want to hear it. You need to tell him dad"

It let out a frustrated sigh "Fine, I'll try talking to her" he rubbed his forehead "I don't know why you care so much"

Korra scoffed "I mean I would like to know if my boss was sleeping with my mom" She said as she walked around Asami's desk to by Asami's side and sat on top of the desk keeping her back towards the man.

"You told her?!" Hiroshi said

"Of course I did" Asami scoffed "She's my girlfriend and I don't remember you telling me not to tell anyone, you only told me not to tell Zeke" she crossed her arms

"Did it not occur to you, that if you were or weren't thinking of marrying this woman and keeping her in the future, Zeke would be Asami's step brother?" Korra asked

"Well it has but-"

"Then you should say something because he's crushing on Asami" She pointed out both Hiroshi and Asami off guard "You know how awkward that must be for Asami? So yes she has every right to care if you tell his mom or not"
"I didn't know" he admitted making Korra roll her eyes.

Asami jumped in "Maybe after the event we can have a family dinner" Asami crossing her arms "If you want Sarah in your life, you are going to have to include him"

"You're right, I'll give her a call" He said walking out her office leaving the 2 girls alone.

Asami then looked over to Korra "Why are you so mean to him?"

"Mean? I'm not mean" Korra argued looking away from Asami.

"Korra, when are you going to let it go? it's not like you were the one he was-"
"Asami can we not talk about it" Korra looked down at herself "I know what he did, I was there for the after math"

"Well you need to figure it out. He's my father and he's all I have left, I would like it to not be so awkward between you two all the time" Asami said grabbing Korra's face to make her look into her eyes. "After all he forgave you for all the times you knocked him out and fought him"

"Really, I don't remember apologizing" Korra rolled her eyes

"Korra" Asami used a serious tone of voice.
"Alright fine" Korra sighed.

Korra's phone buzzed catching her attention, she looked at it for a second reading something. "Shit" she said under her breath.
"what is it?" Asami was curious.
"Nothing, I forgot I have to go somewhere with Jenny tomorrow, but I have to do something today before we go" Korra said getting off the desk.
"What is this something?" Asami asked making Korra stop in her tracks.

"I'll explain tomorrow, but I got to get this done right now" Korra said "Are you going to your dad's or staying over tonight?"

"I have to stay late at my dad's for some stuff for the company, so I might just stay there for tonight" Asami explained.

"Ok, I'll see you tomorrow then?" Korra asked earning a nod then left leaving Asami alone in her office.

Asami let out a sigh "I love you Asami" She faked Korra's voice "I love you too Korra" she said in her own voice rolling her eyes. She sighed laying her head on her desk before her phone rang, she didn't look at the contact name she just answered but before she can say hello someone spoke first.

"I love you" it was Korra's voice.

Asami couldn't help but chuckle "I love you too"

----

Korra got home finding Jenny cleaning. "Korra, did you get my message?" the earth bender asked.

"Yeah I'm going to the bank right now" Korra said going straight to her room to change and Jenny following behind her.
"The bank? Isn't it closed already?" Justin questioned Gommu earning a shoulder shrug that he didn't know.

Korra walked out wearing her old Red Lotus outfit and a black book bag. "Jenny and I will be stepping out, Gommu, watch after Justin." she said earning a nod.

With that Jenny and Korra left. Jenny drove to the bank and parked a block down "You already opened a bank account, right?" Jenny asked Korra earning a nod.
"All I need to do is just hack into my account and import all the money from my drive and I'm out"
"Korra, you have over 20 drives"
"1 now, I was able to transfer everything to one drive, it took a while but hey it worked"

With that Korra opened her bag and pulled out her blue mask "This is our last show" she spoke to it

"Hate to ruin the moment but, hurry up" Jenny said

"Right" Korra put on the mask and got out the car, she air bent herself to the top of the roof finding the same window she broke with Ming-hua. She slipped in and made her way to the electrical room disabling the cameras. She snuck out the room and went to the main desk and went to one of the cubicles where there was a computer.

She pulled out her laptop and plugged it up to the computer. She looked over the cubicle making sure there were no guards. She was able to unlock the computer using her laptop. She signed into her account on the computer and went back on her laptop to plug in the drive and transfer the money to her account.

After it was transferred she signed in her account through her phone to see if it work. Her account read 2,509,991,005.00 "holy spirits, it worked." she said. Before she left she deleted every trace of her being there.

She left to the electrical room and reenable the cameras then left. She got in the car and Jenny sped off. "did it work?" Jenny asked.

"yup"

---

The 2 made it home. It was 7:30, Jenny decided to order wings for delivery since she didn't get to cook. Korra went to her room finding someone sitting on the bed with her wolf.

"A-Asami, I uh I thought you were staying late at your dad's" Korra said nervously.

"Yeah, but things change" Asami said as she got off the bed and walked towards the Avatar "So are you going to tell me what this something was? and why it involved you being the blue spirit?" She crossed her arms as she towered over Korra

Naga felt the tension in the room grow, she slowly snuck off the bed and passed the two to leave out the door.

"Asami.."

"I can't believe you right now" Asami was about to turn around.

"I know it looks bad, but I promise it's not" Korra said grabbing Asahi's arm to keep her from walking away "Remember that money I told you about last week? I went to the bank and hacked into my account to transfer it in there and-" she was cut off

"Korra are you being serious?!"

"Yes, I know it sounds bad but let me finish" Korra tried to calm the situation down "Tomorrow me and Jenny are going to go check out this place by the bridge" Korra said pulling out her phone showing her a building that has 40 apartments

"You're getting an apartment?" Asami asked.

"No, I'm buying the building, it's was abandoned but they fixed it up, but before they start showing off the apartments, I gave them an offer" Korra said putting her phone away, in 3 days, Tonraq is sending back everyone, I don't want them under that bridge"
"This is the only thing I can think of, at least till they figure everything out."

"How much did you offer?"

"1.5 million, they agreed" Korra said

"What about the rest of the money?"

"food, clothes, I want to send those kids to school"

"You really are a good person" Asami and went to hug Korra "but please tell me that the last time you break into places"

Korra couldn't help but laugh, "yes it the last time" She promised.
