Rosalie sniffed as she wore the necklace around her neck. She shut her eyes and kept it close. She took it on the trip because she needed to see it around her.

It was unbelievable her mum left her father. She couldn't believe there was a chance she could meet her dad.

But was he alive? Where was he?

She sighed and shut her eyes as she trailed her hands on the necklace. She had one of his possessions and she loved it.

The door creaked open and she whipped her head to the door. She stopped breathing and her lips went agape at the sight of Alexander.

He was dressed in a brown t-shirt with his jacket on his arms. Her eyes traveled down and she melted at the sight of his tuxedo trouser. It fitted his stature perfectly.

Alexander almost smiled as he watched her floored. His eyes roamed around her and he clicked his tongue delectably. She was clad in a long flowery gown that had slit to her mid thighs; that he got for her.

She looked impeccably sophisticated.

"Are you ready?" He queried and she blinked rapidly.

"Ye…yes" Rosalie stuttered and sucked in her cheeks when yesterday's memory clouded her mind. She could still recall the soft texture of his lips.

The way he handled her with utmost care.

"Good, let's go" Alexander smacked his lips and turned around when his eyes caught a glance of the necklace he got. His brows creased and he casted his gaze to her neck.

Seeing yesterday's necklace was on her, it took everything in him to resist the urge to scoff. When did she start wearing a necklace? Who gave it to her?

Was it that special that she didn't wear the one he got for her? "Wear the necklace, Rosalie" he ordered in his modulated voice and Rosalie paused.

"I… have one" Rosalie licked her lips and pointed at the necklace on her and Alexander turned around.

He wanted her to wear everything he got for her. But he wasn't going to force it.

"Let's go" he grabbed his briefcase and led the way and Rosalie trudged after him with a thumping heart.

He wasn't angry right?

She sniffed and struggled to move with the high heels she had on. It was the highest she ever wore.

She didn't know where she was going. The only thing she knew was that she was going with him; and yeah, she was in Italy.

She remembered how scared her mother was in the morning. She slept off without texting her she arrived in Italy.

She sighed and struggled to cope up with his pace and soon they reached the parking lot. Unlike yesterday, a lot of people were outside.

They looked different from the random Americans she knew. Another dialect filled her ears as the people spoke and her insides twitched as she wondered what they were saying.

"Get in" Alexander jolted her out of her thoughts and her brows knitted in an arch seeing the Porsche 911. She bit on her lips and saw Alexander staring intently at her; with the chauffeur.

Her eyes darted away from them and she got into the car. Alexander got in after her and soon, they were on the road.

Rosalie clung tightly to herself and managed to keep a distance between them. She didn't want anything that could brew up emotions she didn't want.

She didn't want anything to do with him; he was her boss.

She had to remember that because she was forgetting that.

She fondled her hands while Alexander kept his cold gaze on her. He wanted to hold her, grab her and kiss her wildly but he couldn't.

He could clearly read her restraint; and he wasn't going to force it.

He shut his eyes as different emotions coursed through him. Unlike every other business man, he had to attend to his private business.

He had to sort things out.

He exhaled and tugged on his hair; he was honestly tired of such life.

"Can I know where we are going, sir?" Rosalie asked, unable to stop herself. She deserved to know where he was taking her.

She cocked her head and examined his features as she awaited a reply. They locked eyes but Alexander tore his eyes away from her without an answer.

She rolled her eyes and stifled the scoff she wanted to make. How rude!

Soon, they reached their destination. The moment the car stopped, Alexander got down and Rosalie gently got after him.

She had to be careful with her shoes.

Her eyes darted around as she was floored. The building was a tall one. It towered above her and glitters of light shone everywhere.

People's chatter filled her ears and she made out a lot of suave people.

She knew at once it was an event for the wealthy.

Why did her boss take her there, then?

She wanted to ask but refrained herself. He'd not give a reply after all.

"Let's go" Alexander held his jacket and led the way while Rosalie plodded after him, her eyes feeding themselves on every image they rested on.

Different sculptures ranging from the eagle to people's statues were everywhere. The marble designs of the walk added to the plushness of the building.

"Walk faster," Alexander mumbled and turned to her. She was only with her handbag. Why couldn't she walk faster?

"I'm sorry" Rosalie sniffed when she got to him. Seeing his frigid face, knots tightened in her insides.

Why did he switch his demeanor? He wasn't angry right?

Alexander led the way again with the use of his phone. They used the elevator and within a few minutes, music boomed into their ears.

It was slow music that added to the ambience of the surroundings.

"We're going in" Alexander stretched out his hands causing Rosalie to pause. Her brows wrinkled as she wondered what he wanted to do.

"Don't act too naive" Alexander grabbed her hand and a soft gasp escaped her lips.

He scoffed and entwined their hands, his fingers loving the feeling of her palm.

"We're going in" he mumbled like a warning and Rosalie looked straight ahead. She saw a curtain and she knew it was the only barrier to where the sound of the music came from.

The moment they got in, both squinted their eyes for their pupils to adjust to the light emanated by the chandeliers.

Rosalie was stunned at the sophisticated people that filled the whole room. It was a grand party; with waiters doing their job, serving orders to whoever wanted.

A cheer rose and she took her eyes to the stage to see the ballet dancers. Her eyes widened and a smile found its way to her lips as she watched them display their flexibility.

She loved ballet dancing a whole lot.

Alexander watched amused how elated she was, "come on" he checked his phone and led the way to the seat assigned to them.

It was a party.

They got to their seats and settled down. Immediately, Rosalie averted her gaze back to the ballet dancers.

Alexander smiled. A persistent satisfied feeling tugged at his chest as he watched her. He was glad she liked it.

It pleased him. Now, he had to attend to business before he went for his personal work.

His phone beeped and a smile broke on his lips seeing the content, "on what seat are you Alexander?"

"Seat 198" he replied.

It was Mia. She was the lady in his family and even though Mia was old enough, she never took any responsibilities.

She only loved partying.

She was around because it was a business party.

"I'll be there Alex" she texted back and he sighed. He rested on the seat and watched how excited Rosalie was.

Every smile of hers made his insides twitch.
He wished he could hold her and tell her how important she was to him.

He didn't know how she did that but she definitely tamed him.

His eyes traveled to her neck and his fist tightened into a ball on seeing the necklace. Who gave her? Why didn't she wear his?

His mind wandered around for a reason she didn't want to take off the necklace but he got none.

The last time he checked, she had no boyfriend or he would have said it was a man's gift.

He clearly digged up on her past but got no traces of relationships. He got to know she moved into New York with her mum recently.

She turned to him and he slipped out of his trance at once. "Sir?" Rosalie called and twirled her hair in her hands.

"Is it a business party? Is this why we're here?" She questioned and maintained a gaze with him. She finally deserved an answer, didn't she?

"Yes it's a business party and you—" Alexander paused at the vibrating of his phone. He stiffened and muscles tensed inside of him.

He knew what that vibration meant. He clearly put off the alarm button yesterday and replaced it with vibration.

"I'll be back" he muttered icily and stood up.

Rosalie sighed and stared at him till he was out of sight. Was that another trick to ignore her question?

Why was he keeping it away from her?

The loud cheer dragged her out of her thoughts and she took her gaze back to the dancers. The dancers began with a sequence of intricate steps and glided on the floor.

With their feet barely on the group, they raised their hand in the hair, the face displaying the emotions the song gave.

They took a series of leaps and turns that defied gravity and made them look weightless leaving Rosalie to wonder how flexible they were.

Would she be that flexible if she continued her lessons? She chortled at that.

She took ballet dances lessons before they moved into New York because yes, dancing was one thing she loved.

"Alex?" The voice broke into her thoughts and she whipped her head to the voice.

It was a young lady that was dressed in a short gown and had her hair packed in a high bun.

"My bad, I thought Alex was here" the lady mumbled as she punched her phone. Where did he go?

He said he was on seat 198. Didn't he?

"He was, he went out to make a call," Rosalie answered as she wondered who the lady was.

Did Alex get in touch with her?

"Ohh thanks" Mia faltered a smile and glanced around but stopped.

She said Alex went to make a call?

She turned to Rosalie immediately, "were you with Alex?" She queried with raised brows and Rosalie nodded.

"What?" Her lips fell open as her face widened.

"You're his date?"

Rosalie paused. His date?
Alexander took her as his date? She blinked rapidly and glanced around as she searched for an answer and that's when she realized.

Everybody was in two.

Does that mean her boss took her as his date?
