You had dragged yourself into the cafeteria for breakfast despite the overwhelming urge to crawl back in bed from the recent sniffles you gained last night. Also going against Malleus' attempts at trying to get you to stay back and take care of yourself, most of it because he isn't exactly sure how fragile humans are to illnesses.
This choice was an instant regret as soon as you saw Yuu and your other friends from Heartslabyul. The group was talking to two Scarabia students you haven't talked to before but you know that one of them is a Housewarden, a very energetic one at that...
'Riddle is with them so it should be okay to just.. sneak by right..?' You pursed your lips as you thought through the outcomes to this situation and immediately decided that food is better.
You thought you had successfully made it past them until you felt a tap on your shoulder.
"Y/n! come join us we're investigating the random injuries that have been happening" Yuu spoke once you turned around. His blinding smile was enough to convince even the toughest souls. The both of you has a small staring contest before you gave up with a sigh.
"Alright..." You spoke with slumped shoulders, the stuffiness you felt was evident in your voice which seemingly worried Yuu.
"Are you sick!? Have you rested well? Have you eaten? Have you drank water? Do you need to-" Yuu bombarded you with quick fire questions as he grabbed onto your shoulders.
"Ah! Yuu I'm fine! Lets just go back to the rest of the group" A quick reply was formed just as fast as the questions were coming at you, gently removing his hands from your shoulders and bringing him over to the others. This didn't seem to rub the worry off of his face but he followed you none the less.
"Oh, right! Because your signature spell is- MMPH! mph??" The white haired student ,which you believed to be named Kalim, had been cut off with a hand covering his mouth just as you came over. He pulled the other guy's hand off his mouth with a pout.
"Jamil, why'd you put your hand over my mouth?" He turned to the person beside him, who you now know to be Jamil, with creased eyebrows.
"Because we're not talking about me here" His eyes narrowed slightly despite his otherwise stoic face. You thought he was rather pretty.
"Anyway.. my theory is that someone was controlling my movements with magic" He spoke without a care and picked up his fork to continue eating his breakfast. Which you assumed the group had disturbed him from doing before hand, you'll have to have a word with them later about disturbing people.
Cater hummed with his hand on his chin, looking at the ground in thought.
"That would be a way to hurt peoeple and have it appear like it was nothing but carelessness.."
"Hmm.. When I nearly fell down the stairs, I never felt as though I was being controlled against my will" Riddle soon recalled his own experience with slightly furrowed brows.
"Well I guess that it is kinda of a lead..? What is our next move guys?" Cater took a brief glance at the time on his phone before giving you a small smile.
'Wow at least someone acknowledged I'm here' You thought, semi joking.
"A spell to control someone.. If I could cast that I could get so much food!" Grim smirked to himself with full seriousness.
"You know Grim.. I can control things and living beings with my magic" You looked at him dead in the eyes with full seriousness. His eyes widened and his mouth opened slightly before looking up to Yuu for help.
"Haha! Of course I can't do that! If I could I probably wouldn't be here right now" You chuckled to yourself at your little joke. Unbeknownst to you the rest of the people around you didn't think you were joking in the slightest, the perks of being a Diasomnia student is your little lies hit ten times harder.
"What do you mean by that y/n..." Yuu asked looking over at you with full concern about what you could do.
Kalim finally took his eyes off the rest of the group and looked your way.
"Oh you're Y/n! You're one Malleus' guards, nice to finally meet you I'm Kalim" He introduced himself with a wide grin and a feverish wave accompanying it. That was until Jamil got embarrassed and pulled his hand down.
"A pleasure to meet you Kalim" You put on a smile with a small bow, you knew of his status and you intended to act accordingly.
"You don't need to bow to me, the pleasure is all mine" He pouted slightly
'What a ray of sunshine he is...'
"Man, imagine eating all the deluxe grilled cheese I wanted..." Drool dripped from his mouth as his mind and thoughts were off in dream land.
"Huh.. Speaking of deluxe grilled cheese.." Yuu started without finishing his sentence as if he was having a main character moment of looking back at his memories. You all just stood there in slight confusion.
"Uh.. Yuu?" You placed your hand on his shoulder due to his dream-like state. Not his best moment you will admit.
Grim screamed without warning causing everyone to jump, aside from you of course, thats what you like to think at least. You furrowed your brows before turning to him.
"What was that!?" You yelled.
"Whoa! Why are we screaming?" Kalim stated with a hand over his chest in an attempt to calm himself down.
"I, Grim, The great detective, have solved the case!" He spoke proudly.
'Detective Deuce and Grim the great detective. Perfect' You chuckled quietly to yourself.
Riddle hummed in confusion, the same confusion the rest of the group was experiencing in that moment.
"The culprit is... Ruggie Bucchi" Yuu states with a snap of his fingers.
'Who on earth is that..' You looked over to Cater in confusion as he thought to himself too.
"Ruggie? The little guy from Savanaclaw" He enquired with wide eyes from disbelief.
"Ugh Savanaclaw..." You scoffed and rolled your eyes in a different direction, you did not want to have to see any of those guys today. It would put a dampen on your already bad day.
"Let's track him down and see what he has to say for himself" Riddle proclaimed without seeing your reaction, which was obviously against the idea completely.
"Thank you for your cooperation" Riddle bowed his head slightly in the two Scarabia student's direction.
"I'm still kinda lost here, but good luck!" He laughed innocently. His bright smile distracted you long enough for Yuu to grab onto your arm and drag you along with the rest of the group.
"Yuu noooo..." You sobbed lightly while trying to head in a different direction. While you were relatively strong Yuu had some super human strength and was able to drag you along quite easily.
"Yuu yessss" He laughed as he carried to drag you along. You looked around to try and find someone to help you out but you only managed to see Lilia chuckling at your unfortunate circumstances.

Before you left the dorm:
You dragged yourself out of your room after getting changed, to put it plainly you looked a state. Sniffles were all that could be heard as you dragged yourself through the halls to go freshen yourself up a bit better. That was until you came across Sebek and Malleus. Of course Sebek was once more fawning over Malleus and his greatness. Sebek paused his admiration once he heard shuffling and sniffling.
"Y/n? You don't look so great. Are you ill?" He toned down his voice from the previous shouting which you thanked the heavens for due to the splitting headache you were harbouring currently.
"Yeah, I just have a cold or something. I'll be fine" You smiled while checking the time. Seeing that you had some time you flopped onto the sofa for a little bit.
"Y/n.. you should be resting if you're sick." Malleus spoke up out of concern, his voice seemed softer yet sti stern. He looked to Sebek to see if he knew what to do seen as though he is partly human.
"Let me grab you some pain killers and a drink, stay right there" Sebek spoke quickly and shot off just as quick so that you wouldn't be able to convince him otherwise. It is what Malleus would want him to do no? Either way he holds you with high respect for being powerful and also to be strong enough to guard Malleus, so of course he doesn't want to see you fall ill. It would be a tragedy if no one was there to guard his idol.
"Y/n... are you sure you'll be fine? Humans can be quite fragile to illnesses and I-" He sat beside you as he began to ramble off his concerns.
You sat up fully with a chuckle. "Mal I'm fine don't worry"
This didn't seem to calm his worry but he trust you enough to believe you.
"alright.." He looked away for a moment before Sebek swiftly returned with some painkillers and a cup of fresh tea. You smiled at them both for being worried about you before you had some rest and headed off to the cafeteria.
