Emotions were running high.
McLaren was ecstatic over their P1 and P4 grid positions and their drivers were just the same.
Finally having the car be somewhat competitive with the upgrades that they team had been fitting was enough to make Emilia want to stay with the team and Fernando debate his decision to retire or not.
After team debriefs and media, the grid had headed back to their hotel. Deciding that it would be a good idea for an early night, they all headed to their separate rooms. Although, the group chat was going off constantly as everyone got ready for the night.

Sebastian's empty threat went unseen since everyone had fallen asleep by the time he'd been added back to the group chat, having spent twenty minutes spamming Lewis until the Brit had seen his phone and added Sebastian back to the group.
Sunday morning was filled with rushing around (Emilia had pressed snooze a few to many times on her alarm and was now running late) and swearing.
Sebastian had knocked on her door so many times that when she finally swung it open and was greeted with his face she wanted to punch him.
But she held off.
The two best friends headed to their rental cars together before calling each other on their phones and talking through the bluetooth on their cars as they drove to the track, they then waited for each other at the exit of the car park and walked into the paddock together after going up to the fans lining the entrance and signing some things.
Emilia got gifted a beaded bracelet in green, yellow, blue and white with ES and AS added in the middle.
She almost cried as she got Sebastian to clip it around her wrist before hugging the girl that had made it for her which made the fan start crying.
Sebastian and Emilia eventually headed into the paddock, going their separate ways when they passed the McLaren garage. Fernando was already inside, stood talking with his trainer and Emilia's trainer was stood a few feet away waiting for her arrival.
The day went by pretty much the same as any other race day did.
Fan forum, media stuff, drivers parade etc...
To say that Emilia was slightly nervous would be an understatement as she prepared for the race with her trainer in her drivers room, race suit tied around her waist. She was starting P1 for god sake and had to keep Kimi's Ferrari and Lewis' Mercedes well behind her if she wanted even a chance at the win.
Plus, Fernando was in P4 and would no doubtedly push to get himself on the podium.
Emilia sipped from her water bottle as her and her trainer walked to the garage. Melody was talking to her but she could only hum in response, shutting out the rest of her thoughts to get into the zone.
It felt like forever as the cars were taken to the grid and Ted Kravtiz did his grid walk before the national anthem played. Emilia spoke to him briefly before going to talk to Patrick.
When she was finally in the car with her helmet on and visor down, the grid empty other than the cars, she was ready. They had to do the formation lap first and to be honest, she just wanted to get into the race already.
"And it's lights out and away we go!"
The race itself became chaos almost immediately.
The McLaren in P1, Mercedes in P2 and Ferrari in P3 brought one of the best pole position fights since the days of Sebastian Vettel's dominance.
Emilia was zoned out from the world, barely hearing Patrick's voice in her ears and telling him to fuck off and leave her alone when she was trying to focus.
Channeling her inner Kimi Raikkonen.
Emilia was the first car of the top 5 to pit, dropping down into P4 when she came out.
Lewis pitted the next lap as response.
Emilia jumped up to P2 when Fernando dived into the pits, closing in on the the Ferrari ahead of her.
It took forever for Kimi to pit, when he finally did, Lewis was using DRS to try and get past Emilia.
The battle went on for almost the entire race, with Fernando and Sebastian joining towards the end as well. The two Red Bull's were closing in, two seconds behind the fight going on at the front.
"Final lap, Em, final lap."
"Lewis is being a fucking bastard."
"We know, bring it home."
The final lap was even more chaos if that was even possible.
Emilia was building up a lead until she locked up and both Lewis and Kimi popped up in her mirrors. The three of them drove side by side for almost the entire lap until Kimi stole Lewis' place when he locked up and Fernando swooped down the inside to take P3 from the Mercedes.
The checkered flag came out and Emilia crossed the line barely an inch in front of Kimi.
Fernando crossed the line in P3.
The McLaren team was hung over the catch fencing, Patrick was unable to speak to Emilia down the radio because of the cheers coming from around the pit wall and the garage behind it.
Emilia screamed when she finally climbed out of the car after parking it in Parc Ferme. Both her and Fernando hugging each other first before rushing down to the team.
Fernando pulled one of his iconic animal poses on the front of the car and Emilia did the same dance she did when she won for the first time back in 2007.
McLaren were over the moon to have claimed a grand slam from the weekend, they were front row at the podium celebration and the cheers that they let out when Fernando and Emilia's names were announced drowned out the commentator.
The national anthem of Brazil and England played and it was a sight and sound that everyone loved to here. Seeing the smile on Emilia's face as she bopped her head to the Brazilian national anthem and mouthed the lyrics from the top step was a sight for sore eyes.
Kimi was the first to start with the champagne, dosing both Emilia and Fernando in it as the Spaniard did it back. Emilia poured some of hers over her head before spraying Patrick with the remainder. Laughing when Fernando came up behind her and poured the bottle down her back.
She was then hoisted up onto Kimi's shoulders and the Fin handed her the remainder of his champagne which she then poured over the top of his head and sprayed out into the crowd below.
