True to his word Lan Zhan showed Wei Ying everyday how much he means to him. When they are not in class or busy with sword practice then he will take him down to Caiyi Town and shower him with gifts. He let Wei Ying indulged in his favorite wine emperors smile. Lan Xichen was probably the happiest sseing his brothers happy and so inlove warms his heart to the brim. Lan Zhan, Wei Ying and his brother is visiting the Nie sect. Xichen and Mingjue are in his rooms having tea and catching up. The three youngsters is sitting in the garden. Wei Ying and Huaisang are busy fan painting while Lan Zhan is looking on. His eyes scanning over the place. It's not as peaceful as the Cloud Recess to much noise he thinks. The two next to him is talking and painting not a care in the world. He looks at the man he plans on making his mate and he smiles to himself. He came to love him so much. He showed him what it means not to feel alone even if you are surrounded by people. Beside his family, Wei Ying had made one true friend in Huaisang who would do anything to see him happy. Soon they will go with father, uncle and brother to a conference. Wei Ying will meet them but he knows his Wei Ying is stronger then he was. Sometimes Lan Zhan wished that Wei Ying never met those people then maybe he would have been spared all the heartache and pain. There are stil days that Wei Ying would go quiet and seek the bunnies out for company on those days they now know he just wants to be alone not because he don't trust them but on those days he does not know how to put what he feels into words. They have became to understand and then they would give him his space. He always comes back. A smile on his face and laughter in his voice.
There are days when Lan Zhan have to hold him in the presence of brother of course and let his scent out to sooth and calm him. Those days are harder because he would just cry and say nothing. On those days he will seek comfort and reassurance and they are happy to give it to him. Those days last a little longer but he have nothing but patience where Wei Ying is concerned. He felt a tug on his arm. He looked at Wei Ying who is smiling at him and he return it with upturn of his mouth. " Lan Zhan look what I have painted?". He said excitedly. Lan Zhan took the fan gently and hold it up. " It was two bunnies. One black and one white". It is beautiful Wei Ying. " I made it for you as a present". He said. " Thank you I will cherish it always". Lan Zhan answered and that earn him a full on happy smile. Huaisang looks at them with a smile. He is so happy for the two of them. They truly deserve each other no doubt about that. He will do anything to protect their love and happiness. Maybe he should try and get Da-ge someone then just maybe that will get him of his back always telling him to find a mate. Maybe he should talk to Xichen-ge about that yeah he think he should. Some times he wonders if the two of them got something going on. Nah he shook his head not possible.
"Huaisang are you fine?". Wei Ying asked him. " Yes just thinking". He answered. "About what?". Wei Ying asked curiously. " About getting someone for Da-ge. You know he also gets lonely". He answered and Wei Ying laughs. " You want to find me a what A-Sang. Do not even thinking about messing in my love life". Da-ge said as he and a laughing Xichen join them. " Da-ge you are not getting any younger you know. You should think about finding someone you can make little pups with". He said from behind his fan. Xichen and Wei Ying were laughing so hard at that. " Maybe I should find you someone. You are at the right age to get married". Da-ge dead pan. " Da-ge you wouldn't do that to me. Who will look after you when I'm gone. By the way I am fine just the way I am". Huaisang said betting his eyes. " I can look after myself just fine thank you". He said.
" Xichen-ge what about you. When will you find someone". A-Sang asked.
"A-Sang I'm fine. No need to worry". He said a smile. They talked and laugh the rest of the day away before the three brothers left. When they arrive back home they went to inform their parents that they were back. They all eat dinner in the hanshi when they were done Qingheng-Jun looks at Wei Ying before he said to the boys. "We are leaving in two days time for the discussion conference at lotus pier. Wei Ying will you be fine to go back there. If not you can stay here with Wanji it won't be a problem". He said in a concern voice. Wei Ying just shook his head and said" I have to face them sooner or later. Back then I had nobody but this time I have my family. I'm not scared as long as I have you all ". He said and look at each of their faces smiling softly." Wei Ying I do not want you to be alone at any time. I do not trust them. Especially that woman and her son ". Lan Qiren said seriously to him. Wei Ying nods his head and then took Lan Zhan's hand and hold it tightly. Lan Zhan in turn gave his hand a squeeze letting him know that he is there. That night Wei Ying laid wide awake. He knew that one day he would have to face them. He knew that woman and her son beter then anyone. He knows what they are capable of. It's true when he said that he is not scared of them. He never was. "You are stronger. You have a family that loves you and that will do anything to protect you. You have Lan Zhan who will never let anyone hurt you. They can not hurt you anymore. They are not important". He told himself.
Two days later they left for lotus pier. They traveled by boat enjoying the calmness of the water. As they enter the waters of lotus pier they could see the beautiful lotus flowers and it brought a smile to Wei Ying's face. The four Lans had watch him the whole trip and it warms their hearts to see a genuine smile on his face. As they dock and got off they found the sect Leader and his family standing in front of them. " Welcome to lotus pier and the YunmengJiang sect. I hope that your stay will be pleasant". Sect Leader Jiang greeted them. "Thank you I sure hope so". Qingheng-Jun answered as his eyes roams over the family of four. After greetings were exchange they all walked towards the sect where they were shown to their respective rooms except Wei Ying who was confused. Lan Zhan who was still standing by his side looked at the servant for an answer. " Young master we were instructed to show
Wei Wuxian to the servants quarters". Anger immediately grip Lan Zhan's heart. Wei Ying was dumbfounded. Did he just heard right. " Who instructed you to do this ?". Lan Wanji asked the servant who did not know how to answer that question. She don't want to lose her job but the young master is very angry. Lan Wanji turned and called one of the Lan disciples standing nearby and instructed him to go call his father." I am asking you again. Who gave you this instructions?". Wei Ying had never felt this humiliated. She looked from the one to the other and at that exact moment Lan Zhan father and uncle and brother arrived. " What is going on here?". He asked. Lan Zhan explain to him what the servant said and that he is still waiting on an answer from her. The servant was shaking so bad now. "My son did asked you a question and it would be wise to answer truthfully". The servant opened her mouth and said.
"Madame Yu instructed this one to not prepared a room for young master Wei with the Lan sect but to prepared one for him in the servant quarters. Please I was just following my sect madame orders. This one did not mean to offend anyone ". She was now close to tears. Wei Ying felt sorry for her he knows how vicious that woman can be." Thank you. You can go". Qinghen-Jun told her and she left.
Qinghen-Jun and his family left and walked towards the courtyard where most of the sects have arrived. He let his eyes glide over the people until he found what he was looking for. They made their way over to the jiangs who were currently talking to the jins. They stopped infront of them not even greeting anyone of them. " Are you looking for a battle between our sects. I can assure it can be arranged. You think because you are sect madame you have the right to insult one of my family members. Who do you think you are?
