Eric's POV
Rion points towards a map on the table and explains, "We are going to march up to the Vorsacks palace through these woods!"
Then turning towards me he continues, "Your highness, we can defeat the Vorsacks in one go with this plan! Especially if we attack them when its least expected! No matter how powerful they are, they need to be stopped!!"
"What do you think your highness?" The prime minister asks me.
"Its a good plan. But what matters is the execution" I answer.
"Certainly! But I think for the best results you need to be there with our men! In that way no matter how strong their black mages are they will have no effect on you as you are immune to their magic! On top of that you are strong enough to kill 100s...no 1000s of men alone!" The prime minister says.
"Fine...get your troops ready." I order them.
"After this Rivans will be mine and Karlos will be yours! We will never forget this and will continue to maintain our relations in future!" Rion says.
But his words sound empty to me.
Neither do I care about Karlos nor do I care about these stupid politics here.
All I care about is...
Her.
I want to see you Carrie...
I want to touch you.
I want to hold you in my arms and foeget everything...
I want a world for just the two of us!

Noticing it, Rion asks "Is there something bothering you, your highness?"
I look up at him...

"Your highness?" The prime minister asks.
"I wish to rest now. We'll discuss on this tomorrow" I say, getting up to leave.
"Let's atleast discuss-"
"No need for that. Tomorrow we march up to the Vorsack right?" I say.
"Yes! Yes, your highness!"
"That's all." I turn around to leave.
"His Highness is certainly a tough one..." The prime minister says to Rion.
"I hate him. I was out there Licking off the Vorsacks especially after my father's past...and now I'm out here Licking the shoes of some half blood! What can be more shameful!?" Rion scorns.
"Your Majesty, be patient. The Vorsacks are too powerful for your Majesty to deal with all alone! No matter how many men you gather, normal men don't stand a chance against black mages! Their 100 men are equal to your 1000! That's the difference! We don't stand a chance against them without Eric Arguens! Eric Arguens presence is crucial to win this war!!" The prime minister explains.
*BUMP*
Rion bangs the table loudly.
"But even so...even so!!! How long must I lick people's arses to maintain my power? Because of my foolish father's mistakes I had to tolerate the Vorsacks for years! And even now...!"
"Your Majesty it is better than licking that woman's arse! At least you don't have to be that woman's puppet for the rest of your life!" The prime minister says.
"What? What do you mean??" Rion gets enraged on hearing the old man's words.
"Its exactly what you have heard. What do you think would have happened if you married that villainess? She would threaten you with her father's power and turn you into a mere puppet. You would be the emperor in everyone's eyes but in reality she would be the one pulling the strings from behind! And once she gave birth to a heir and her position was secure enough as the empress, she would get rid of you so she could rule as the empress!"
Rion's eyes widen at his words.
He was right. The Vorsacks greed wouldn't stop just at that. They would get rid of him so that Caroline could rule the nation!
Rion gulped down a lump in his throat.
The Vorsacks were formidable.
His father couldn't curb their criminal activities nor stop their power from growing.
Instead he had to make ways for them to carry out their illegal business better.
All these years, they grew their power right under his nose...
When he was unable to do anything.
Ever since Rion was a child, he wanted power.
For that he was ready to form an alliance with the Vorsacks as well.
Their daughter...
He first met her when they were kids...
With long black hair and green eyes...
She looked very beautiful...
But very terrifying as well.
"So pretty" she said pointing to his shinny red hair...
"I want it..." she said pointing towards the crown prince of the nation.
And that's all her father needed to hear.
Apparently, the princess of Vorsack treated people like toys.

That's what Rion had always thought of her.
He could never bring himself to love her.
For he hated her...

All he did was pretend...

That was all.

There was a monster that followed that woman...

"We need to kill him...He is too f
Dangerous to be kept alive!" Rion says.
"The time will come, your Majesty! But first we need him to defeat the Vorsacks!!" The prime minister advises.
I listen to everything from outside
And then walk away to my room.
Huh! Rion you are pathetic!
To think that a bastard like you even thought of having Caroline...
I will tear off those arms that even thought of touching her...
And gauge out those eyes that dared to look at her!

I imagine her beautiful face as I look up into the night sky...
It was on a night like this...
When I sneaked into her room...
And we united after 7 long years!

I close my eyes in her thoughts if her...
The gentle night breeze hits my face and that's when...
I feel a touch.
A touch of fingers brushing the strands of my hair off my face.
Immediately opening my eyes wide, I see a pair of green eyes in front of them.
"Hello Eric..." She says, before jumping inside my room through the window.
"What are you...?" My lips quiver.
"Missed me?" She smiles.
"Caroline!?"
"Yes"
"What are you doing over here!?" I ask, dumbfounded.
"I just came for a short visit." She says walking up to my bed before sitting down on it.
"How did you get in? This place is heavily guarded!" I say, worried about her getting caught.
"Yeah right...Now I'm the enemy of this nation thanks to you" she says.
"Leave"
"Huh?"
"I said leave."
"I don't want to"
"Caroline???"
"No"
"How can you be so bold and walk inside my room in the middle of the night right under the noses of the guards!?"
"Have you not done the same thing before with me? So why can't I?" She says.
"Caroline...stop being so stubborn and leave!"
"I don't want to." She crossed her arms.
"You leavd me with no choice but to call the guards..." I say.
"Guards? Why? Humiliating me at my wedding was not enough now you want to watch the guards drag me out and lock me in the jail!?" Her usual cold face gets twisted.
"That's not what I wish for! That is why I am asking you to leave immediately!" I object.
"But I won't leave. You can go call them" she smirks.
"You leave me with no choice..." I turn away from her.
"GUARDS!! IS ANYONE THERE!? COME HERE RIGHT NOW!!" I scream and order.
"Your highness!? Did you call for us??" The guards ask from outside.
"Yes! I need you to come-"
Just as I'm about to give my orders, my eyes fall on Caroline...
Undressed...
On my bed...
My face turns complete red at the sight.
"What's wrong your highness? Shall we come in?!"
"NO!!!" I scream at the door.
Come in and see her in this state!?
I would rather kill myself than let any man see you like this!
"Your highness...?"
"You may leave! And no one comes in until I ask them to!" I order.
"As you command..." The guards walk away.
I instantly rush towards the door to lock it up and breathe out a sigh.
"What do you think you are doing!? What if those men saw you like this!?" I turn towards her and ask.
"Eric...people have seen me in a much worse state because of you! Since you kidnapped me and made me go through that horrible torture at Karlos...then made sure to ruin my wedding and make a fool out of me! And now what you want to destroy my father?" She sneered.
Then walking up to me, she pulls ne by my collars and pushed me against the door...
"You need to burn...A person like you doesn't deserve to live!" Her eyes were full of hatred.
"They were right! You really are cursed!!!" She says before locking her lips with mine.
My eyes widen, as she pushes her tongue into my mouth...
Hah...
So cruel...
She's always so...
Breaking my heart with those cold words...
At the same time drowning me in the sweetness of her mouth...
How can you be like this Caroline?
Unable to control myself anymore I unbutton my clothes and take her to my bed.
"Caroline..." I call out her name.
As I stare at her milk white skin in awe.
"I will never forgive you Eric" She says coldly.
I narrowed my eyes and moved in closer...
This fire that burns my body and soul...
I hope it never dies out...
Because my beloved, you are the one who lit this fire..
And all I ever wish is to be...
Burnt to ashes in that fire.
