"Enough!" Allara shouted, her voice filled with a potent mixture of anger and determination.

She charged towards the Shade, her sword aimed directly at him. But the Shade was no ordinary adversary. He moved with unnatural agility, dodging Allara's strikes effortlessly. His laughter echoed through the chamber as he taunted her, his eyes burning with malevolence.

Allara refused to be deterred. She redoubled her efforts, attacking with renewed ferocity. Vanir, too, joined the assault, his powerful swings creating a whirlwind of steel and distracting the Shade a bit more.

As the battle raged on, the chamber trembled, the very foundation of the palace quaking beneath their feet. The intense clash between good and evil sent shockwaves reverberating through the air, shattering the silence that had once enveloped the city.

With each strike, Allara caught glimpses of the darkness lurking within the Shade's eyes. She could sense his desperation, his fear of defeat as she and Vanir began to push the Shade back. She fought with unwavering determination, drawing strength from the lives he had taken and the innocent souls he had tormented.

In one final, decisive moment, Allara's blade found its mark in the Other's chest right as Vanir stuck his own blade through the Shade's back. The Shade let out a bloodcurdling scream as he fell to the ground in a burning puff of smoke, defeated. The room fell into silence, the weight of the battle lifting from their shoulders.

Breathing heavily, Allara turned to her companions, the exhaustion and satisfaction evident in her eyes.

"We did it," she said, her voice filled with a mix of relief and triumph.

There was a screeching sound that made the ground tremble and Angela, Vanir and Allara hurried over to the window to see two large black creatures as bald as a shaved man's head. Their wings were made of thin membranes that Allara was more than surprised could sustain the large body weight of the creatures.

"Drogos! Embar!" Allara called for the two dragons.

Allara's voice echoed through the chamber, carrying a mixture of urgency and command. The dragons, Drogos and Embar, had been resting nearby, sensing their presence was required. With a thunderous roar, the mighty creatures burst through the palace walls, their massive wings creating a gust of wind that sent debris flying.

Ж

Drogos, the larger of the two dragons, soared into the air, his scales glistening in the fading light. Embar, agile and swift, followed closely behind. The dragons circled above, surveying the scene below with their piercing eyes.

Ж

Allara nodded, her gaze locked on the black creatures. They were unlike anything she had encountered before, a formidable force to be reckoned with. But she refused to let fear consume her. She had faced dragons and prevailed in the past, and she would do so again.

"Drogos, Embar, protect us!" Allara commanded, her voice resolute.

Ж

With a burst of power, Drogos unleashed a fiery blast, engulfing one of the creatures in a torrent of flames. Embar, swift as the wind, launched himself at the second creature, his sharp claws slashing through the air. The battle in the sky raged on, the dragons and the black creatures locked in a fierce aerial combat.

Ж

On the ground, Vanir and Angela stood ready, their weapons at the ready, prepared to defend themselves should any enemies approach. The ground shook beneath their feet as the battle intensified above.

Allara watched the clash between the dragons and the black creatures, her heart filled with a mixture of awe and determination. She knew that victory would not come easily, but she refused to falter. With a surge of adrenaline, she joined the fight, wielding her sword with grace and precision.

The clash of steel, the roar of the dragons, and the screeches of the black creatures filled the air. The battle reached its climax as one of the creatures succumbed to Drogos' relentless assault, crashing to the ground in a heap of smoldering flesh. Embar, wounded but undeterred, fought on, her scales glistening with a thin layer of blood.

Ж

In a final, desperate move, the remaining black creature launched itself downwards at Allara, Angela and Vanir on the ground its talons outstretched. She met its attack head-on, her sword slicing through the air with a resounding strike. The creature let out a piercing shriek as it fell, defeated.

The sky cleared, and the ground grew still. The battle was over. Allara, Vanir, and Angela stood among the remnants of their victory, breathing heavily but triumphant.

"We did it," Allara said, her voice filled with a mix of exhaustion and relief.

"Yes, we did" Vanir smiled down at the woman as the dragons landed with one of the limp black creatures bodies in their claws, the elf's eyes reflecting the magnitude of their achievement.

The remaining members of the group joined them watched as Angela began to heal the wounds the dragons had sustained, which were luckily not too deep of harsh, and asked what had happened.

Allara, who had strangely gotten their trust quickly, explained how they had killed the Shade and the Lethrbralka after they had ended up in the throne room of Dras Leona.

"There might still be a lot of Ra'zac hatched out there so we must advise Nasuada to create a response team to that" Vanir said as he cleaned his blades on the nearest green patch of grass.

"Can you carry us back to the queen?" Allara asked her partners.

The two proud dragons raised their heads to her fondly and nodded in affirmation.

Allara approached the dragons with a mixture of respect and admiration. She ran her hand along the sleek scales of the nearest dragon, feeling a surge of warmth and connection.

"We are grateful for your help" Angela spoke, her voice filled with genuine gratitude.

The dragons inclined their heads, their eyes gleaming with understanding. As they knew the importance of their role in this mission, the significance of their bond with the group.

With a swift motion, Allara climbed onto the back of one dragon, while Vanir mounted behind her and the others got on their respective positions as they had on their trip there. The dragons spread their wings, ready to take flight once more. The wind rustled through their wings, and anticipation filled the air.

"Let us return to Nasuada," Roran called out to Angela and Rimmar, who stood nearby. "We must inform her of the situation and seek her guidance"

"Indeed, we have much to report and much to plan for" Angela nodded, her face etched with a mixture of weariness and determination.

As the dragons took to the skies, carrying the members of the small group, they marvelled at the sight unfolding before them of the sun setting in front of them. The once-shrouded land was now bathed in the warm light of a new beginning. The darkness had been vanquished, and hope had been restored.

Allara leaned back a bit and bumped against Vanir's chest and she was about to apologise when the elf held her closer to him and propped his chin on the top of her head rather fondly. Allara blushed lightly and relaxed into the male's arms as they flew back to Ilirea.

As the dragons soared higher into the sky, their wings beating with power and purpose, the group disappeared from sight, leaving behind a land now changed as the previous prisoners awoke and took to their homes once more, being greeted happily by their families.
