harry pov
I saw her get thrown and Sirius looked over to her quickly. he then got hit and Professor Lupin looked at me before coming towards me. I backed up slowly before I heard howling. he looked at me and then the woods before running to the woods. I then ran to where I saw Sirius and y/n go. Sirius was holding onto y/n near a lake. her shirt was red with blood. I ran down and tried to shake her and Sirius awake before I saw the dementors above us. I quickly pulled out my wand. I quickly said the spell that Lupin had taught me trying to get them away. soon they all became too much. I watched as they swooped down onto me Sirius and Y/n. right before I felt the world become dark I saw a bright light from across the lake. a whispy stag. my dad.
y/n pov
I woke up with my back and head killing me. I felt pain everywhere. I groaned a little.
"y/n!" I heard Harry say walking over
"hi," I whispered back. he sat down next to me.
"How are you feeling"
"like shit" I mumbled
he laughed a little. "I would imagine"
Hermione looked over at Harry
"I saw my dad," Harry said looking over at her
"What?" Hermione asked
"he sent the dementors away. I saw him across the lake"
"Harry they captured Sirius," she said. I quickly sat up
"What!" I said. Harry put his hand on my arm to try to get me to lay back down. I pushed his arm off me
"any minute now they're going to perform the kiss"
"there going to kill him?" Harry asked
"no it's worse," I said "They suck out his soul," I said. I moved to get out of the bed
"y/n," Harry said trying to stop me
"no. my dad is in trouble. I just got him back. I'm not losing him after being this close to being a family again" I said. Then Dumbedor walked in.
"headmaster you have to stop them," Hermione said walking over to him "They've got the wrong man"
"It's true professor they've got the wrong man," Harry said getting up. I stumbled a bit but followed.
"it scabbers who did it," ron said
"scabbers" Dumbledor question
"He was my rat, sir. he's not really a rat. he was a rat. he was my brother percys but then they gave him an owl.."
"Never mind him. we know the truth" I said next to Harry who looked over at me in shock.
"Please believe us," Hermione said
"I do ms granger. but the words of four fourteen-year-old wizards will convince few others. a child's voice however is honest and true is meaningless to those who forgot to listen." he looked around all of us and then to Hermione. "a mysterious thing time. powerful but dangerous if meddled with Sirius black is in the topmost cell of the dark tower. you know the laws ms granger. you must not be seen and you would too well I feel to return before this last chime. if not the consequences are too ghastly to discuss. if you succeed tonight more than one innocent life can be saved. three turns should do the trick. Oh and by the way. I find it best to retrace my steps. good luck"
he walked out and me Harry and ron looked at each other confused.
"what the bloody hell was that about" ron asked. I shrugged
"sorry ron but seeing as though you can't walk" she started. she reached into her sweatshirt and pulled out a necklace.
"wait," I said. She looked at me confused. I grabbed dads jacket from the end of the bed not caring about the blood on it at the moment "Ready"
she put the necklace over our heads making all of us incredibly close. Harry's hand brushed mine for a second. I looked around the room and saw people moving in and out very quickly. ron was gone and I was star-struck.
"why didn't you tell me" I said as she took the necklace off of us. "Remus had one when he was in hogwarts. told me all about it" I said
"wheres ron," Harry asked when Hermione just dragged us with her "Where are we"
"or when" I said
"where were we earlier today?" Hermione asked
"Maybe Hagrid's," I said
"come on. we can't be seen" Hermione said. Harry just looked between us.
"come on Harry," I said grabbing his hand and pulling him along
"where are we going" he asked. I followed Hermione down to the bridge where she was about to punch Malfoy. I went against the wall after Hermione did.
"Hermione will you please tell me what's going on" Harry asked. just as he said that I heard Hermoine calling Draco names. I laughed a little as we watched it
"why'd you stop me but Hermione can punch the nasty ferret," I said looking over at Harry
"because you already had five detentions with the twin," he said
I laughed a little "right"
"This is not normal," Harry said. Hermione pushed Harry toward the wall.
"This is a time-turner," Hermione said "Mcganogal gave it to me the first term. it's how I've been getting to my classes this year. "
"you mean you've gone back in time"
"yes"
"Dumbledore wanted us to come to this moment, clearly Something happened that he wants us to change," I said. we watched as Hermione punched Malfoy.
"good punch," me and harry said
"thank you"
"Malfoys coming," I said pushing Harry back against the wall. we listened to the boys as they walked away and then we left.
"We should be at Hagrid's now," I said
"let's go" We made it down to the hut and saw buckbeak
"look he's alive," I said with a smile
"Remember what Dumbledore said. if we succeed more than one innocent life will be saved." Hermione said
"let's get him before they come down," Harry said
"no fudge has to see him or he'll think Hagrid let him out," Hermione said pulling us behind some plants in the garden. then we heard ron talking about scabbers and Harry sat up a bit. I grabbed his shoulder and pushed him down.
"that's Petegrew," he said
"you can't Harry," I said
"he betrayed my parents. you can't just respect me to"
"Harry he betrayed mine too. we can't be seen. you'll think you've gone mad"
"fudge is coming," Hermione said making Harry look back at her
"why aren't we leaving" Harry asked.
I looked around and grabbed a rock. I threw it and it hit the small pot on the table. Hermione grabbed the other and it hit Harry in the back of the head. we quickly went back down and hid.
"we're leaving out the back door now. let's go" I said as I watched us leave and the others go in. Harry quickly got up and grabbed the chain. I walked over to the hippogriff and tried to get it up and then Hermione walked over with the ferrets for him. we led the creature out of the garden and into the woods. I took the lead from Harry and he let go of it happily. we walked into the woods and Hermione started commenting on the way her hair looked from the back. Then She stepped on a branch making the other Hermione look into the woods. Harry pulled me closer to him to keep me out of sight accidentally hitting the scar on my side. I winced and he looked down at me quickly
"sorry" he whispered
"it's fine" I mumbled painfully. he looked down at me again.
"You sure"
"I'll be better when we finish this and get my dad out of dementor grasps," I said
"we will," he said
we heard the group of people who walked into the hut fighting a bit before we walked off.
"now what?" Harry asked
"We save Sirius"
"how"
"no idea"
"look its lupin," Harry said as Moony went into the tree
"and snape," Hermione said
"And now we wait"
I walked over to Buckbeat and petted his head
"at least someones enjoying themselves," Harry said looking at me
"shove off I'm stressed and buckbeaks adorable" I said. he laughed a little and walked over to me
"he's gonna be fine. I promise you Sirius is going to be fine"
I looked over at him "ok" I whispered. he went back at talked to Hermione about seeing his dad at the lake. then I heard the sound of barking and werewolf howls. I looked over and saw Moony with me and Dad. I watched myself get thrown into a rock and pass out. I saw Harry's eyes widen.
"that looks awful," he said to me
"it is"
then we saw Moony head towards Harry and Hermione started to howl
"what are you doing" Harry asked
"saving your life," Harry said
"thanks:"
"Now he's coming for us," I said
"I didn't think about that" she muttered
"run," I said. we ran around the woods narrowly avoiding my uncle. then as he was about to swing at us buckbeak came and hit him in the side knocking him out
"god he's having a rough night" I mumbled.
we ran towards the lake where I was passed out. I watched as Dad ran down to me. he kneeled now next to me.
"y/n" I heard him say. "pup! wake up please" he grabbed onto my shirt tightly. "please I can't lose you" I felt tears sting in my eyes as he spoke before a dementor came down and attacked him. he drifted off and passed out before Harry came down. I watched as he shook both of us before the dementors came. he tried to fight them off before passing out.
"Harry do something," I said
"no, my dad. he's supposed to be right here" he said
"Harry he's not coming do something," I said again. he looked at me before quickly running onto the rock and shouting the curse. his patronus shown around him and the dementors flew away. I smiled as I watched him. when the dementors were gone we got onto buckbeat. I was behind Harry and holding onto Harry tightly.
"you were right Hermione. I didn't see my dad. it was me. I saw myself conjure the patronus. I knew I could do it all this time because well I had already done it. does that make sense" he asked.
"no and I don't like flying," she said before holding onto my stomach tightly. I put my arms out to the side. she screamed at me and Harry cheered flying down to pick up Dad. we landed on the ground and got off. Dad pulled Harry aside and talked to him before coming over to me.
"I think it will be hard to be living together once again," he said cupping my cheeks. I looked away "But I will letter you tons and talk to you through fire unless Moony can find some way for us to live together once again. you'd like that right"
"I would like to."
"I know you don't remember your mum well but you're just like her. a troublemaker of sorts. terribly funny. lover of animals like yourself right?"
"Yeah"
"you also remind me a lot of myself and that may be a bad thing but it makes me happy" I laughed a little. "you play quidditch?"
"chaser just like you"
"just like me," he said softly. he looked over at the hippogriff. "you still have this?" he asked
"on my bedside table. always there. a reminder of you"
he chuckled a little "I love you pup"
"I love you too Dad. good luck and don't get caught"
"I won't," he said. he pressed a kiss to the top of my head and got onto Buckbeak. "I'll see you soon"
we watched as he flew off. Harry walked over and wrapped his arm around my shoulder.
"I guess I can't really call you diggory anymore can I?"
"well technically yes and no. My mum is Amos' sister so technically I'm still a diggory"
"Whatever black"
I laughed a little
"let's go get ron"
"And madame Pomfrey. I didn't realize how much pain I was in"
