Summary: Alena accidentally gets embarrassed by Natasha, resulting in an anxiety attack.
Alena hated that people knew her primarily because of her parents.
Of course she was immensely proud of them, but she'd ran into one or the other problem along the way, for example people being friends with her to get close to her parents.
Today, there was a gathering at her school.
Alena had begged and begged for them to just stay home and not go at all, but her mom insisted that it would be fun.
,,Давай, свет, взбодрись (Cmon, light, cheer up)"
The older redhead whispered to her daughter as they entered the auditorium.
,,Я повеселел. Люди уже смотрят (I am cheered up. People are staring already)"
Alena muttered back, her tone holding annoyance.
Natasha placed a gentle hand on her back and pushed her through the crowd with a smile.
,,Не правда. Буквально никого не волнует (Not true. Literally nobody cares)"
,,Вам легко говорить. Ты как ... известный (Easy for you to say. Youre like ... famous)
,,Can you guys speak English? I'd like to be part of the conversation"
Steve smirked, reminding his girls that not everyone spoke their language.
,,But it's more private that way. Dad, do I need to remind you that everyone knows you here and everyone wants to talk to you"
Alena sighed, trying to direct her parents towards a quiet table.
The trio sat down, Nat and Steve immediately starting a conversation with Peters aunt May, while Alena looked around.
She scanned the crowd for her few friends consisting of MJ, Ned and Peter.
Her gaze finally met MJs, who was busy looking around herself.
Once the girls spotted one another, Alena raised her middle finger to get her attention.
MJ smirked knowingly as she strolled over to her redheaded friend.
,,Yo Lena"
She greeted the 14 year old with their handshake.
Alena grinned at the curly headed girl whom she considered her best girl friend.
,,Heya. Have you seen Pete or Ned anywhere around? Really looking to escape these two before too many people recognise them"
The redhead asked, pointing at her parents, her eyes wide and panicked.
MJ smirked, calm as a cucumber like always.
,,Nah, no clue. I'll find them and get back as soon as I do though"
She responded with shrug before turning to leave.
Alena tried telling her to take her with her, but before she could, she turned to her parents to see a whole crowd formed around them.
,,Мама, мы можем уйти? (Mama, can we leave?)"
She whispered, clinging on to her Mom's arm in embarrassment.
Natasha turned to her daughter shortly, kissing her temple out of habit.
,,МАМА"
Alena whisper screamed, her head taking on the same shade as her hair, if not even redder.
,,Awwe, is that Alena?"
,,Adopt me"
,,I wouldn't get embarrassed"
,,Black widow, over here"
,,I love you, Captain America"
,,That girl must be so lucky to have parents like them"
,,Natasha, we love you"
Alenas eyes got glossy. She got severe anxiety in big, loud, crowded spaces like these and the fact that she just got embarrassed didn't make it any better.
,,Мама, я хочу уйти (Mama, I want to leave)"
She admitted, trying really hard not to start crying.
,,Give me a moment, детка свет (baby light)"
Natasha asked of her, not realising her daughters state.
Alena tried taking deep breaths, but somehow, it didn't do anything but make it worse.
,,Daddy please, let's leave"
She now turned to her dad, clutching his arm trying to get them to leave.
Steve turned to his daughter, his eyes not fixated on her long enough to determine her state because of several people taking pictures.
,,Five minutes, light. Can you hold through?"
He asked, taking a hold of his only child's hand.
Alena shook her head, her voice now completely useless. She wanted nothing but to leave.
,,Пожалуйста, мама, нам нужно уйти. Mама, я хочу, домой, пожалуйста (Please Mama, we need to leave. Mom I want to go home)"
The 14 year old pleaded, really embarrassed by now.
Natasha finally realised how bad her child was feeling, her full attention now lingering with her.
,,В чем дело? (Whats wrong?)"
She asked in a whisper, her emerald eyes searching for the reason for the outburst in her daughters glossy eyes.
,,Слишком много людей (Too many people)"
Alena admitted, clinging to her Mom's arm now. She didn't want to tell her that she got really embarrassed when a lot of people asked questions about their homelife and stuff.
She watched as her Mom leaned towards her dad and whispered something into his ear.
Steve looked around at his daughter, had his gaze remain on her for a good minute and nodded towards his wife.
,,Давай вытащим тебя отсюда, детка свет (Lets get you out of here, baby light)"
Natasha soothed, her hand clasping her daugthers firmly.
Alenas expression lightened a little bit, clutching on to her Mom's hand as they made their way through the crowd that had formed.
As they left, she even saw Peter who just shot her a concerned look.
She shook her head and signaled that everything was fine and she didnt need help.
Once the family of three made their way out of the hall, Alenas breathing regulated and the colour that had drained from her face earlier came back.
,,You alright?"
Natasha asked, her eyes radiating concern for her only daughter.
Alena gave a single nod, unable to speak just yet.
They got in the car, the younger redhead still earning glances of concern by her parents.
,,Can we never do that again? I hate people"
Alena finally spoke up, picking at the skin of her nails as she did.
Natasha looked over her shoulder, her emerald eyes meeting the blue ones that had radiated so much fear and embarrassment just minutes earlier.
,,Sorry for not noticing earlier, милая девушка (sweet girl)"
,,Not your fault. Just ... don't ever do that again"
