It was months before I was allowed to visit Cassandra again — mother and the gods keeping me far too busy for my liking. I skipped up to the castle doors and knocked, excited to see the vampire again. 'I hope she hasn't forgotten about me,' A frown took over my face at the thought. 'Who am I kidding?! She couldn't keep her eyes off me!' I smiled at the maid that answered the door before walking inside.
"Who-?" Cassandra stopped in the doorway when she saw me. "You're back..."
"I promised I'd be back one day," I giggled and walked over to her. "I always keep my promises."
"I seem to recall you promising me a date the next time we see each other."
"Did I? Well, I can't start breaking my promises now."
Eight Months Ago
"When will I see you again?" Cassandra frowned, holding me in place.
"I'm not sure," I sighed and cupped her cheeks. "But when I come back, I'll take you on a date, okay?"
"You better."
"I promise — and I always keep those."
"...One more kiss?" Cassandra giggled and leaned forward. "Please? How else will I remember my muse?"
"You're impossible," I laughed and kissed her. "Who knew my magic would make someone fall for me so fast."
Cassandra smiled into the kiss. "Shut up and start planning our date."
Present
"Did you plan our date?" Cassandra hummed and pulled me further into the castle.
"Sorta," I laughed. "I was pretty busy, so I couldn't focus entirely on it, but I think you'll like what I have."
"Honestly, you could take me to a room and talk to me all night and I would consider that a date."
"Oh please, I'd at least add some sparkles with my magic."
"...Can you?"
I giggled and wiggled my fingers, causing sparkles to appear — even causing the weapons to shine. Cassandra smiled before taking a few steps forward, reaching for one of the sparkles. I reached for the one she did and moved it closer to her, taking her wrist in my other hand. She watched as I removed her glove and placed the sparkle in her hand.
"Don't freak out," I whispered and moved behind her, keeping my hands around hers. "Keep it like this."
"It's... So warm," Cassandra breathed with a smile. "How-?"
"Magic, my dear," I kissed her cheek and snapped my fingers, making the color of the sparkle change from yellow to red. "I could teach you the spell, but it's ancient Greek-."
"I can learn it! I'd learn anything for you."
"How romantic," I cooed when she looked at me. "Oh! You called me your muse, right? Did you paint or draw anything in our time apart?"
"A lot!" Cassandra grinned, her eyes full of excitement. "Do you want to see them?!"
"Of course!"
Cassandra giggled and swarmed me through the castle, only stopping when we reached the atelier. I giggled when she set me down, letting her walk inside first before following her. A gasp left me when I saw the painting in the center of the room, my legs carrying me toward it. 'I knew I was her muse, but I didn't think she'd make something like this — I look so much like Mom.'
I smiled as I examined the painting. We were dancing in an empty room, and the deep purple dress I wore clung perfectly to my body — and not too tight from the look of it — while Cassandra wore a suit. Sparkles danced around us while she held me close by the waist, smiles on our faces as Cassandra appeared to lean in for a kiss.
"Wow," I breathed, tracing my hair in the painting before looking back at Cassandra's shy smile. "You sure know how to woo a girl."
"It can be real," She suggested. "I have a suit — and there are plenty of empty rooms."
"I'd have to go get a similar dress."
"It'll give me time to change and find us a good room and music."
I turned and cupped her cheeks, stealing a kiss before walking away from her. "Five minutes!"
Purple smoke surrounded me when I stepped into the hall, the smile on my face growing as I skipped to my room. I hummed as I opened my closet, searching for a dress close to the one Cassandra painted. 'Damn vampire and being so irresistible,' I internally sighed. '...I guess I can ask Isa for a few days off before I go back.'
As I grabbed a dress, I heard the familiar crackling of fire that followed the youngest and eldest children of Hades. When I looked into the hall, I grinned at the youngest child of Hades, grabbing their jacket before they could get too far. Isa looked up from the file they were reading, a confused expression on their face.
"Aren't you supposed-?"
"Can I have the weekend off?"
"...You didn't have to come back to ask that."
"I needed to get a dress too," I huffed and held up the dress, rolling my eyes at their whistle. "Yes, I plan on getting laid."
"Clearly," They laughed. "Yeah, take as many days off as you'd like. Hunter will be back tonight so she can do any work I would normally send you."
"Passing all my work onto my sister? The mother of your son?! Your girlfriend?! That's cruel."
"Do you want the days off or not? I'll make it up to her."
"How?"
Isa scoffed and pulled out a little box. "Date night."
I laughed and took the box, opening it to examine the ring. "I'm still going to bully you."
"Leave before I change my mind," Isa growled and took the box back.
I laughed again and slipped back into my room, shutting the door before changing. 'Two minutes now,' I said to myself while fixing my hair. 'Irresistible vampire.' As I finished up, purple smoke surrounded me — allowing me to return to the castle. Once outside of the atelier, I adjusted my dress and waited, holding my palm out to create sparkles again.
'Such a simple spell, but it made her fall in love with me,' I smiled at the memories of my first time meeting her. 'She was so starstruck, it was hard not to fall for her after that.' My thoughts were interrupted by the sound of buzzing, making my smile widen as I glanced down the hall.
Cassandra stopped when she saw me, her jaw dropping as she walked slowly toward me. 'Talk about handsome,' I sucked in a breath at the sight of her in a suit. 'The painting didn't do her justice. Thank the fates Isa is a generous boss.' When she was close enough for me to reach out and grab her tie, pulling her close with a grin.
I connected our lips when she got her balance, effectively cutting off any questions she might've had. Cassandra pressed me against the wall before deepening the kiss, her hands moving to my waist. My hand tightened around her tie while the other rested on her shoulder, a low moan leaving me when her grip tightened.
"Dinner first," I managed after breaking the kiss, stopping her from continuing south. "Then we can progress. My boss said I can have as many days off as I want."
Cassandra grinned and glanced up, her kisses had stopped on my jaw. "So that's why you greeted me like this?"
"Well, that and you do look ravishing."
"Funny, I was going to say the same thing."
"So, dinner and a dance?" I giggled when she moved back and offered me her arm, waiting for me to loop my arms through hers.
"And then dessert."
