Oscar's wagon pulls into the village as Reyna comes up to them. Reyna Diaz is the Mother of Kait, and the leader of an Outsider village, taking over the role after her husband's death. She relied upon her brother-in-law, Oscar, to train and protect the villagers.
Reyna: Thank God you're safe. I was just about to head to Settlement 5 myself.
Kait: (hops off) We hit a few snags.
Reyna: What happened?
Alex: Good news, we've made new friends who helped us with the Fabricator.
Reyna: (sees Y/N's group) Students of Beacon Academy, I see.
Y/N: Nice to meet, I'm Y/N. These are teams RWBY, JNPR, DVANT, THCS, CVFY, and THNDR.
Reyna: Nice to meet you. I'm Reyna, Kait's mother.
Ruby: Nice to meet ya too.
Reyna then notice Ruby's eyes were silver which made her surprised.
Reyna: (mutters) Silver eyes...
Ruby: Huh?
Yang: What did you say?
Reyna: Nothing. And the bad news?
Oscar: (grunts and hops off) The short version? The COG is on it's way.
Reyna: How long do we have?
A Kestrel flies overhead and drops a pod, opening to reveal one of Jinn's screen DeeBees.
Weiss: Well that was fast.
Reyna: I'll greet our guess.
Alex: (walks up with her) I'm coming too.
Jinn, Reyna, and Alex stop, two feet apart.
Reyna: First Minister.
Jinn: Reyna. I'm here for my people. Stand aside.
Alex: Jinn, what the hell are you talking about? You said the same thing back at the settlement. What's been happening?
Jinn: Don't play coy with me, Commander. Here's what's going to happen next: anyone who resists COG justice will be dealt with.
Reyna: Like Settlement 2?
Jinn: That's your choice.
Reyna: You're forgetting one thing.
Jinn: (raises her eyebrow) Oh? And what's that?
Reyna then steps forward and cuts the head off Jinn's DeeBee with her knives.
Reyna: This isn't Settlement 2!
Nikki: Wow...
Del: (eyes widen) Okay! Good meeting.
Alex: (takes his shotgun off his back) It ain't over, Del.
Dean: He's right, we need to get prepared for battle.
Reyna: Everyone, grab the fabricator and follow me. CARIME!!!
The Kestrel from before was about to shoot them, but Gary turns his turret and shoots the chopper down.
Blake: Whoa!
Sonro: Holy crap!
Alex: (laughs) Nice shot, Uncle Gary!
Reyna: We need to secure the hall with the Fabricator. Let's go! You! Make sure we enough burn gel in the infirmary!
JD: Excuse me, ma'am, but burn gel won't help. The DeeBees are armed with more than shock rifles now.
Reyna: Wait, Jinn's using lethal force? Oh, shit! Get everyone inside the meeting hall! Now! William! Evacuate the school! Make sure no little ones are left behind.
Alex runs up to his Uncle Gary. Gary Carmine is a member of the Carmine Family who was a member of Reyna Diaz's Outsider group. He Is considered the "black sheep" of the family for being fiercely independent and critical of the Coalition of Ordered Governments.
Despite his criticisms of the COG, he idolized his family member, Clayton Carmine, as a hero. Gary Carmine joined a group of Outsiders lead by Reyna Diaz in 42 A.E. Oscar Diaz, Reyna's brother-in-law, taught Gary everything he knew about combat.
Alex: Nice shot, Uncle.
Gary yanks Alex over for a noogie.
Gary: Hey, I taught you remember? I'm old, but I'm not THAT old.
Reyna: Carmine! Get your ass back up there!
Gary pats Alex's shoulder.
Gary: Let's scrap some metal!
Gary rushes back to the wall turrets as Alex regroups with the others.
Reyna: How's our ammunition?
Outsider: Everything we have is here.
Reyna: (sighs) Let's hope it's enough. Deploy the fabricator and go and barricade the hall door. Our people should all be inside by now.
Kait approaches the door and sees William.
Kait: Hey, what's the count?
William: Everyone's here. Except for Mackenzie and Eli.
Kait: They're fine. They're trading with the south village. Lock it up!
Kait and Y/N were about to shut the door until William steps out again.
William: Kait! Is the COG really coming to take us away?
Kait: Yeah, sweetie. They are.
William looks down in sadness.
Y/N: (bends down to his level) Hey, it's okay. They aren't gonna get you, little buddy. (puts his hand on his shoulder) I promise.
William nods and hugs Devon before heading in the hall. Devon and Kait then shut the door and lock it up.
Kait: Thanks for cheering him up.
Y/N: Of course.
Reyna: (walks to them) So?
Kait: We're good here. Everyone's accounted for.
Reyna smiles and pulls Kait's ponytail over her shoulder. She then adresses JD, Del, and Alex.
Reyna: Your First Minister is fond of the grand gesture.
JD: Yeah, she doesn't do subtle.
Reyna: Neither do I. Defend this door. And let's show her exactly what happens when you attack Outsiders!
Drake: (runs up) The COG will arrive in less than thirty.
The group sets up several barricades and turrets as a Condor approaches.
Tyrone: Condor incoming!
Gary turns the turret and shoots one of the wings, disabling it and sending it crashing.
Oscar: Hey! Carmine took it out!
Alex: He is my uncle!
Another Condor comes in and drops several pods, destroying the outer barricade and blowing Gary up.
Oscar: Oh shit! Carmine!
Alex: UNCLE GARY!!!
Drake flies in and scans the rubble, finding Gary pinned beneath a pile of wood. Drake zooms down and clears the pile, grabbing Gary and flying back to Alex.
Alex: (taps his face) Uncle Gary?! Uncle Gary! Come on, say something!
Drake: Garrett Carmine is unconscious and will be out for several hours.
Alex: (pounds his fist) Dammit! Okay, get him inside the hall with the others and stay in there, Drake!
Drake nods and grabs Gary, rushing inside the hall and locking it behind him.
Hanzo: Here they come!
Hanzo slashes the Shepards with his katana, slicing them in half while Sonro uses his Waterbending on the Trackers.
Nikki fires her guns at the Deadeyes along with Tyrone who fires his blasters at the Shepherds. Yatasuhashi is surrounded by a group of Shepherds and Trackers, he unlimbers Fulcrum before smashing it on the ground, unleashing a shockwave that sends them flying.
Velvet and Fox respectively kick and punch the DeeBees with Fox impaling a Deadeye. Nearby a DR-1 before charging them. Fox intercepts it with a kick then unleashes a combo of slashes and punches with Sharp Retribution. Knocking the DR-1 skyward with an uppercut, as it descends he delivers a blow to the head with both hands that sends it flying.
Týra starts cutting the Shepherds with Leviathan Axe while Craten throws his hammer and smashed through a DR-1's chest.
Ren and Nora came to back-to-back as four Dr-1s surrounded them. Ren fired StormFlower at the two he faced, both charged in response and attack by firing their Overkills, which Ren deliver a double kick to the robot to knock it down, and he proceeded quickly to slice at its neck with StormFlower.
Nora likewise to swing Magnhild's hammer mode at her first DR-1 that charged her, sending it flying. She converted Magnhild into its grenade launcher mode and fired at the second one, the heavy artillery was enough to completely obliterate it.
Ren shot his second DR-1 with one StormFlower as he used the other to fire its grappler, which hooked onto the robot's shoulder to pull it down before he fired pierced its neck with his other weapon.
Drops continue to drop after the first wave was dealt with. Then the second wave began with Guardians. Guardians are weaponized versions of Watcher security drones. Watchers are small, hovering robotic units that acted as surveillance drones for the various Settlements constructed by the reformed Coalition of Ordered Governments.
Guardians are large, flying DeeBees that have both defensive and offensive capabilities. Guardians have a regenerative shield that can come back up rather quickly once deactivated. They are armed with a Tri-Shot Chaingun, or a Salvo Rocket Launcher.
Tyrone: We got more incoming!
Yang punches the DR-1s and fires her Ember and Celica at them. Blake jumps her and stabbed a Guardian before using her semblance to create a fire copy that explodes with the Guardian.
Weiss used her semblance to create ice hards and send them at the Shepards and Deadeyes, stabbing right through them. Ruby used her scythe and start slicing through the Shepards and Trackers.
Jaune had brought up the shield of Crocea Mors to block an incoming charge from one DR-1 though it had knocked him flat on his back. When it tried to blast him with its Overkill, Ryder had already thrown his shield out like a frisbee to slice at the upper area of its beck.
Coco then transforms Gianduja into a giant minigun, and starts firing, slaughtering the advancing DeeBees.
Dean jump high wit his Devil Sword in the air. He dove down, sword-first. The impact caused many of the DeeBees to go flying. Dean swiped his sword in a circular motion to knock back and cut down all the remaining DeeBees.
A Guardian was floating above Vali it was about to fire its weapons at him, Vali quickly used his sheathed blade to block their weapons before he fluently drew his Devil Sword...
*SLICE!*
The Guardian was sliced in half down the middle, causing it to fall apart and blown up. Arc uses his speed and started slicing any DeeBees with his Keyblade.
Drops continue to drop after the other, all getting shredded by turrets, grenades, or the Outsiders. Thror unleashes lighting from his Stormbreaker the remaining DeeBees.
Thror: Is that the best you can do?!
Suddenly, everyone heard multiple trees being cut down, looking towards the direction of where they heard the trees falling, readying their weapons.
Ryder: You just had to say, didn't you?
Weiss: More DeeBees?
Y/N: No, this is...
As the sounded started getting closer, suddenly a massive red and black mech suit flew out of the sky holding a battle axe/chainsaw hybrid, everyone jumped out of the way, as Y/N blocked the strike with Rebellion.
Bring it back to hit him, Y/N backflipped away from him, landing next to Team RWBY.
Khamsin: Well, well, well, if it isn't my old friend. Jack the Ripper.
Y/N: Khamsin...
Khamsin: You Huntsmen and Huntresses think you're so clever. You think I wouldn't notice you walk into Settlement 5, taking the Fabricator from us?
Hayner: And who the hell are you?
Khamsin: I'm Khamsin A.K.A. the Desert Storm. I'm apart of Revenants, but I don't expect students of Beacon to get our cause.
Vali: So, he's from Desperado.
Daniel: Just like Sam and the robot dog.
Blake: I don't understand, why are you guys killing innocent people for?!
Khamsin: Buckle the fuck up, little kitty. Remember this, we're bringin' freedom here if it kills us. Or better yet: them.
Coco: You're insane.
Y/N: (steps forward) Guys, stand back. I'll handle him.
Velvet: Alone?!
Arcturus: Y/N, this is no time for-
Y/N: Trust me.
Týra: Very well, we're make sure no one interferes with your battle.
Craten: Lass, you can't be serious.
Týra: This his choice, not ours.
Khamsin: But it don't matter. Understand it or not, you'll die for it all the same!
Y/N then aimed Revenant at Khamsin, firing at him, but he blocked all his shots. Rushing towards the Devil Hunter, he swept his axe at him, but Y/N jumped over it, slashing him across the chest with Rebellion. He proceeded to jump on the mech and ripping pieces off of it.
Khamsin: Get off, you little shit!
Khamsin attempted to grab Y/N, only for him to jump off him. He then ran and had slid under him, slicing the legs of the mech's legs and Khamsin then went to slam hit axe on him, but Y/N, jumped over them, causing the ground to uproot, covering the ground with rubble, blocking the Insurrectionist's view.
Khamsin: Come out, come out where ever you are, you little shit!
As he was looking for Y/N, the Insurrectionist was shot from behind by Y/N, causing his arm to begin to spark and short circuit with Enbony and Ivory.
Y/N: Oh, looking for me?
Khamsin: Come here you little bitch!
Khamsin swung his axe, destroying some of the rubble sending it towards Y/N, only for to jump over them and landed on the axe, started shooting him in the chest with his pistols, damaging the mech more.
Khamsin: You bastard!
Khamsin proceeded to jump into the air, slamming his axe into the ground, destroying the rubble. Y/N jumped onto the mech from behind and destroyed one of its thrusters, stabbing his Rebellion into it and landed in front of him.
Khamsin: Piece of shit! You really think you could kill me that easily?!
Y/N: Oh, I know I can. But, I'm not the who'll kill you.
Suddenly, something jumped onto Khamsin's mech and stabbed him on the chest with a chainsaw-like tail. The figure jumped off the mech, revealing to be an upgraded version of Blade Wolf.
Y/N: Welcome home, Blade Wolf.
Blade Wolf: Greetings, Y/N. Is Khamsin bothering you?
Y/N: Yeah, can you finish him for me?
Blade Wolf: Affirmative.
Khamsin: You doggy traitor!
Khamsin swung his axe at Blade Wolf, only for him to block it with his chainsaw and jump over the axe, landing on it.
Khamsin swing the axe as Blade Wolf was still on it, he sliced the arm off with his chainsaw, causing it to explode, destroying the arm.
Khamsin: Hold still, you little fuck!
Khamsin then went to punch Blade with the remaining arm, only for him to counter it with a spinning attack that sliced it off.
Khamsin: No! No, I can't lose!
Blade Wolf got on the mech and stabbed Khamsin with his chainsaw.
The Revenant started yelling in pain before he was ripped off his mech as Blade Wolf flung him up in the air.
Khamsin: No...! No...! Stop!
Blade Wolf jumps in the air and finally uses Zandatsu to slice Khamsin into pieces, finishing him off. With the Revenant in pieces, he cannot continue fighting and lays in pieces.
Khamsin: Oh God! Oh God!
Everyone except for Y/N looked in shocked and awe as Blade Wolf heard a phone sound before he answered it.
Khamsin: (groaning in pain radio) All this... and beaten by a goddamn mutt...
Blade Wolf: It is said all dogs have their day.
Khamsin: (radio) Heh. You little fuck...
Blade Wolf: Finally, I am free.
Khamsin: (radio) You piece o' shit... What about the freedom of this whole world?!
Blade Wolf: Freedom cannot be forced on others. It must be earned for ourselves.
Khamsin: (radio) Mangy... goddamn... son of a... (groan before he dies)
Y/N: Thank you for your help, Blade Wolf.
Blade Wolf: Your gradate is appreciated.
They finally cleared out the DeeBees and go to see the damage.
Del rips out a core of a DR-1 and looks to the left.
Del: Aw, shit. JD, Alex, incoming windflare.
JD: (sees Reyna and Oscar stomping up) Oh boy...
Reyna: (aims her knife at Alex) You promised me you could steal the Fabricator without provoking Jinn!
Alex: (holds his hands up) Reyna, didn't you hear her? This doesn't have anything to do with the Fabricator!
Reyna: Then what did you do?
Thror: Jinn accuse them of 'taking' her people.
Natasha: We don't she meant by that.
Reyna: (sheaths her knife) I told you, (looks at JD, Alex, and Del) all three of you, don't make me regret taking you in.
Kait: Mom, you know she's lying. Since when do we care what the COG think?
Reyna: When it leads to war. You four. Get the Fabricator to the power station and install the inverter.
Kait: You realize Jinn's coming back, right? We need to leave!
Reyna: Get. The power. Back. On.
Kait: Fine. Whatever you want.
Kait, Alex, JD, and Del grab the fabricator and head to the station as Y/N and his group followed them.
Reyna: (looks up) You, when more COG show up, sound the alarm!
Outsider: Yes, ma'am! (runs off)
Oscar: (walks next to Reyna) Hey. You always said this day would come.
Reyna: Which is why we stick to the plan.
Oscar: That girl with the red cape, she has silver eyes, doesn't she?
Reyna: ...
Oscar: What should we do?
Reyna: As long as she's student under Ozpin's protection, we have nothing to worry about.
