MIGUEL POV
y/n just stared at me as she heard someone on the phone speak to her,her eyes slowly widen then relax on its own before her legs almost gave out on her but I quickly rushed to her before she hit the ground.
"What the fuck-y/n!" I said as I gently sat bend down to the ground holding her, "someone help me out here!" I shouted as Mason busted through the doors with my father beside him.
"What happened?" Mason asked as my mom with Maddy and Tristan came behind,
"She fainted!I-I don't know why,she didn't tell me anything before leaving-
"mikey,relax alright? You caught her before she hit the ground so she's not hurt" Mason told me as he bend down to my level and placed his hand on my shoulder to comfort me which kinda helped me.
"Can we go home? I wanna take her home" I said,everyone looked at each other not knowing what to say. "I wanna take y/n home-mom!"
I looked at my mother who sighed,I know she's upset that we had to end my birthday dinner short but I don't care about my birthday if y/n isn't there nor if she's not fucking stable and my mother knows that.
"Okay mijo,let's go" she said as I looked back down at y/n seeing her in my arms as I rubbed my thumb on her upper cheek.
TIME SKIP
Mason and I gently placed y/n on my bed, "thanks man" I whispered to him.He patted my back
"No problem,Tristan and Maddy are waiting downstairs.I know you probably wanna be alone with her" he told me as I nodded,he turned to leave but then I realized something.
"Mase" I said getting his attention,he turnt back facing me.
"Yeah?"
"Look,I know y/n and I have been distant with you guys and it probably looks like I never want you guys around and I'm all about her but I finally got the girl that I've love for so long,so I just always want to be around her-I don't want y'all to think I don't care about you guys"
"Hey man,it's cool..I might not understand how it probably feels like being in love-but I bet it feels good and we're not gonna stop that" he said with a light smile.
"Thanks..you guys can stay,she probably wants to see y'all when she wakes up" I told him,he chuckled before nodding and leaving the room.
I slowly sat down on the bed beside her as I looked at her,I don't know why she fainted and I'm obviously gonna ask her when she wakes up.
TIME SKIP/Y/N POV
I woke up in Miguel's room,but there wasn't anyone with me.I immediately remembered why I fainted,I was scared cause that means my mom will have to go to prison since my father died.
I look out the window noticing how it's getting dark,i honestly didn't know if I wanted to go home and it's not because my aunt is there but it's because my mom isn't there nor will be she there for a long time.
I sat up as the bedroom door opened revealing Mason and Tristan, "oh hey" Mason said walking in with a bottle of water. "Here" he said handing me it
"Hey" I said with a weak smile before turning the cap on the bottle to open it.
"Mikey is downstairs with Maddy and his mom" tris said,I nodded taking a sip.
Mason then sat down on the edge of the bed as Tristan just stood there, "so-we wanna know why you fainted,if you can't tell us then it's fine" Mason said
"It's okay,I actually would like to tell all of you guys together" I said,they nodded
"Yeah that's fine,miguel wanted us to check up on you..he was really worried since you fell into his arms" Tris said
"I know,I didn't even know I was gonna have that type of reaction..I hope I didn't scare him-shit I ruined his birthday" I said face palming,I wanted this year to be great like how he made my birthday but I fucked up
"Hey,don't worry about it,you know Mikey doesn't care" Mason said, "as long as you're okay,he's happy"
"Thanks" I said, "you think you can call him up for me?"
"Of course" Mason smiled at me before getting up while Tristan nodded and left the room,I reached for my phone that was on the nightstand and checked I had two missed calls from my aunt.
I decided to text her that I'm at Miguel's so she doesn't worry, "baby" I heard a whisper making me look up seeing Miguel walk towards the bed.
"How you feeling?" He asked
"I'm doing okay,I'm sorry if I scared you..I'm also sorry for ruining your birthday"
He sat down on the bed near me, "it doesn't matter to me,you're okay and breathing that's what matters to me" I smiled at him, "Mason said you wanted to tell us together what happened?"
"Well yeah them,I can tell you first"
"Better" he chuckled,
"My dad died" I said,his eyes soften as his shoulders dropped.
"Oh i'm so sorry y/n" he said as he caressed my cheek, "if there's anything you need from me,I promise you-
"No it's okay,now..mama is going to prison and i'm just scared" I said as tears formed in my eyes,Miguel quickly noticed and pulled me in by my head in his chest as I sobbed.
The door cracked open revealing the trio with worried faces,miguel turned his head as I lifted mine to view them. "Hey,what's going on" Maddy asked walking in
The boys followed as they stood in-front of us, "it's my dad" I said wiping the tears.
"Is he?" Tristan asked,I nodded knowing what he meant.The trio faces dropped before frowning, "doesn't that mean that your mom-
"Shit!" Mason shouted before placing his hands on his hips and walked on the other side of the room,Mason got closer with my mom and sure it was probably because he thought she was a hot mom but also because he wanted to protect her.
"I'm sorry y/n" Maddy said,
"It's okay mads,I just have to go through it" I told her,she nodded as she bend down to hold my hand,
"Yeah but you aren't gonna go through it alone" she sad,I looked at her confused. "We will be here every step of the way-right guys?" She said turning her head towards him
Tristan nodded, "of course" Mason said causing me to smile as I looked at miguel who was already staring at me with his smile.
"Always" he said,I felt relieved that they didn't want to leave me alone.obviously miguel was gonna be there regardless..I mean when is the boy never there?
"Who has my purse?" I asked,Maddy raised her hand before getting up and leaving the room. "Thanks guys,it means a lot for you guys being there"
"I know it's always you and Mikey cause y'all are a couple but no matter what happens we're friends and friends are always gonna there" Tris said,
"Wow you finally said something that made sense" miguel said
"I always say stuff that makes sense,you just never let me tal-
"Shut up,you made me bored again-
"You always got something to say-
"Cause you never shut up-
"Stop it!" I said,they just looked at each other before laughing as Mason and I joined along.Maddy walked in confused,
"What's so funny?" She asked,we just shook our head as the laughter stopped. "Ugh I'm never here when there's something funny!" She whined before walking over to me
"Here" she said as she handed me my purse,I thanked here before digging in.I pulled out a tiny box getting everyone's attention,
"What's that" Mason asked
"It's Miguel's birthday present" Miguel's eyes lit up,I handed him the gift as he slowly grabbed it while he made eye contact with me with his pretty smile.
"Open it open it!" Tris said excited
"Shh! It's my present" miguel glared at him,he took the top off as he saw the present causing him to nervously laugh.
He lifted the necklace, "since you got me one,why not?" I said
He chuckled,as the trio awed. "It has your name on it" he said as he still looked at it,
"Yeah,you don't like it?"
"I love it,I'm never taking this off" he said after he clicked the necklace on, "how I look?"
"Pretty" Mason said in a girly voice
"I still want one" Tris said,miguel chuckled at him
"Do you want me to walk you home?" Miguel asked realizing it's getting late,I nodded as I sat up more to grab my shoes.
"Well we're gonna head home too" Maddy said,we all nodded
TIME SKIP
"Thanks for the gift" he said as we made it in-front of my house,
"Yeah it looks good on you"
"I still beat the 'best gifts' though" he told me with a smirk,I rolled my eyes
"Of course,I can't top you" we laughed,
"Well,let me know the court date and we'll go with you alright?" I nodded,he kissed my lips "I love you"
"I love you too" I said as I watched him walk away,I chuckled before going up to my front door.I unlocked the door before walking in seeing my aunt on the couch eating chips.
"Hey Tia" I greeted,she turned her head seeing me causing her to get up
"Hey,are you okay?" She asked,I shrugged "I'm sorry mija" she said pulling me in for a hug. "I'll order pizza tomorrow,how that sounds?"
I chuckled pulling away, "sure Tia,sounds great"
