Third Person POV:
Team RWBY, DVANT, THCS, and Y/N are seen walking in downtown Vale and see a banner with the word 'Welcome to Vale' on the front.
Tyrone: So Weiss, what exactly are we doing here?
Weiss: The Vytal festival! Oh this is absolutely wonderful!
Ruby: I don't think I've ever seen you smile this much, Weiss. (frowns a little) it's kinda weirding me out...
Y/N: Well I like it, a nice change of pace having a happy Weiss instead of a stern strict Weiss. Plus, she's pretty cute when she does.
Weiss: (turns to Ruby) How could you not smile? A festival dedicated to the cultures of the world! There will be dances! Parades! A tournament! Oh, the amount of planning and organization that goes into this event is simply breathtaking! (to Y/N) And thank you Y/N.
Y/N: I like the sound of the tournament part, but not much else. Wonder if I'll meet any more cute girls.
RWBY: You have me!
Y/N: Okay! Jeez you guys really need to calm down, I was kidding.
Yang: Anyway Weiss. You really know how to take a good thing and make it sound boring.
Weiss: Quite, you!
Dean: Calm down, children. We already deal with two enough as it is.
Ruby: Two?
Nikki: Craten and Karasu.
Craten: Wait what?!
Karasu: I'm not a child!
Vali: You threw a fit when the library was out of order a bit.
Karasu: So what?
Týra: You spent 48 hours in there arranging every book until you were satisfied.
Mimir: It definitely does set the question on who's the real child of the team.
Sonro: Let's not forget how Craten had a road-rage and threw a car onto a building.
Craten: The driver was drunk!
Hanzo: That's something a child like you would say.
Yang: Remind me again why we're spending our Friday afternoon visiting the stupid docks?
Y/N: I don't know, Weiss suggested it.
Ruby: (covering her nose) Ugh, they smell like fish!
Dean: That's because we're near the ocean. (Ruby pouts)
Weiss: I've heard that students visiting from Vacuo will be arriving by ship today. And, as a representative of Beacon, I feel as though it is my solemn duty to welcome them to this fine kingdom!
Vali: That doesn't sound right.
Blake: She wants to spy on them so she'll have the upper hand in the tournament.
Vali: That's more accurate.
Weiss: (scoffs) You can't prove that!
Y/N: Weiss, did you seriously bring us all the way out here for that?!
Weiss looks a little guilty.
Y/N: (chuckles) Good one!
Mimir: Be great full you're not going up against these five.
Tyrone: Are you sure guys don't want to compete in the tournament?
Arcturus: Na, we're fine. Honestly, we were never really interested in competing anyways. But, if we don't get a mission by then, we'll support you guys.
Ruby: (notices something) Whoa.
They look in the direction she's facing, and see a Dust shop destroyed and the police going over the crime scene. They approached the scene.
Dean: What happened here?
Detective 1: Robbery. Second Dust shop to be hit this week. This place is turning into a jungle. (walks over to his partner)
Yang: (sighs sadly) That's terrible.
Y/N: So how much money did they get away with?
Detective 2: (off screen) None. They left all the money again, they only took the dust.
Y/N: Wait, what?
Detective 1: Yeah, just doesn't make a lick of sense. Who needs that much Dust?
Detective 2: I don't know, an army?
Detective 1: You thinking the White Fang?
Detective 2: (removing his sunglasses) Yeah, I'm thinking we don't get paid enough.
Y/N's POV:
I grew suspicion and remembered the night Ruby and I fought those gangsters during the robbery.
Y/N: Hey Ruby?
Ruby: Yes?
Y/N: You remember that night we stopped that robbery? (Ruby nodded) Well I remember something now. It looked like all those henchmen were holding dust bottles and not lien. Do you think that there could be a connection?
Everyone looks at me with curiosity.
Blake: Do you remember who they were?
Y/N: I remember the one guy who I believe was the one in charge. He had ginger hair, wore a white suit with a bowler hat, had some cane that he used as a gun and a passion for cigars.
Arcturus: That sounds like Roman Torchwick.
Weiss: Well, my money is on the White Fang had something to do with it. What an awful bunch of degenerates they are.
Blake: What's your problem?
Weiss: (turns to her) My problem? I simply don't care for the criminally insane.
Blake: The White Fang is hardly a bunch of psychopaths. They're a collection of misguided Faunus.
Weiss: misguided? They want to wipe Humanity off the face of the planet!
Y/N: Enough! Look maybe the White Fang had something to do with it maybe they didn't. Let's not point fingers until we are positive who caused it.
Ruby: Hmm... Y/N's got a point.
Y/N: Yeah, and besides they never caught that Torchwick guy me and Ruby ran into a few months ago.
Ruby: Yeah, maybe it was him.
Hanzo: That's a high possibility.
Vali: It definitely wasn't demons or even fallen angels, they mostly just cause mayhem. As well as the dragur.
Weiss: That still doesn't change the fact that the White Fang are a bunch of scum. Those Faunus only know how to lie, cheat, and steal.
Týra: Sometimes those methods are the only way one can survive. But those who go beyond that, they're the ones who receive no mercy.
Sonro: Okay, before a fight starts, how about we change the subject before something else happens?
???: Hey, stop that Faunus!
We ran over to the cry for help and we saw a couple sailors chasing a monkey faunus who happened to my old friend, Sun.
Sun: Thanks for the ride guys!
Sailor: You no-good stowaway!
Sun: (while eating a banana) Hey! A no-good stowaway would've been caught! I'm a great stowaway!
Y/N's mind: Can't argue with that logic.
Detective: Hey! Get down from there this instant!
Sun drops the banana peel on the detective's face, who growls in return. The monkey-like Faunus twirls up to crouch on the lamppost, laughs in amusement, and proceeds to leap off and run away from the detectives.
He ran past us, noticed me, smiled and gave me a two finger wave and I returned it. Then he gave Blake a wink and ran off.
Yang: Well, Weiss, you wanted to see the competition, and there it goes.
Weiss: Quick! We have to observe him!
Weiss, Ruby, Yang, DVANT, and THCS ran off leaving Blake and I there.
Y/N: Chasing after Sun? Good luck.
Blake: You know him?
Y/N: Yeah, he's an old friend of mine. Well we should go after the team.
Blake and I ran after the team, when we caught up we saw Weiss standing over a strange girl with ginger hair and green eyes.
Ginger girl: Sal-u-ta-tions!
Y/N's mind: Okay she's a bit weird. Why is she still on the ground?
Ruby: Um... hello.
Yang: Are you... okay?
Girl: I'm wonderful! Thank you for asking.
Y/N: Do you wanna get up?
Then she looked at me and paused for a moment before she gave a reply.
Girl: Yes.
I gave her a hand only for her to flip up on her feet and everyone except me stepped back.
Y/N: Okay, guess not.
Ginger girl: My name is Penny! It's a pleasure to meet you!
Ruby: Hi Penny. I'm Ruby.
Weiss: I'm Weiss.
Blake: Blake.
Y/N: (two finger salute) Y/N.
Yang: Are you sure you didn't hit your head? (Blake and me hit her sides) Oh, I'm Yang.
Dean: Name's Dean.
Vali: Vali.
Arcturus: I'm Arcturus, but call me Arc.
Nikki: I'm Nikki, love.
Týra: Týra.
Tyrone: Tyrone.
Hanzo: Hanzo.
Craten: I'm Craten.
Sonro: And I'm Sonro.
Penny: It's a pleasure to meet you!
Y/N: Uh... sweet pea, I think you already said that.
Penny: (pause) So I did!
Vali: You're an odd one.
Nikki: Be nice, Vali.
Weiss: Well, sorry for running into you! (we turn around and start walking away)
Ruby: (waving her arm) Take care, friend!
Dean: See you around, buddy.
Y/N: I like her.
Yang: She was...weird...
Weiss: (looking to her right) Now, where did that Faunus riff-raff run off to?
I was about to tell Weiss off for that comment when suddenly Penny appeared in front of her, startling us a little.
Penny: What did you call me?
Y/N:
Y/N: Good gods, don't do that!
Týra: (calmly) Hi, Penny.
Yang: Oh, I'm sorry, I definitely didn't think you heard me!
Penny: No, not you. (leans closer to Ruby and Dean) You two!
Ruby: (startled) Me? I-I don't know. I, what I, um, uh...
Dean: Is something wrong?
Penny: You called me 'friend'! Am I really your friend?
Ruby: Uuuum...
Ruby and Dean looks at us, Yang, Vali, Nikki, Týra, Weiss, Blake , and THCS motioned to deny her while Arc and I motioned to accept her.
Dean: Sure.
Ruby: Y-yeah, sure! Why not?
The teammates comically faint, Vali shoots a sword in Dean's head, but Penny looks overjoyed and laughs.
Penny: Sen-stational! We can paint our nails, and try on clothes, and talk about cute boys! Also, is Dean alright?
Dean: (stands up and removes sword from forehead) I'm good.
Penny: (looks at me) And you!
Y/N: Me?
Penny: You said that you liked me! Am I your friend too?!
Y/N: Sure!
Vali, Nikki, Týra, THCS, Blake, Yang and Weiss gave me a questioning look but shrugged it off.
Penny: Wonderful! (put her arms around me and Ruby) Three friends in one day! Marvelous!
Y/N: Uh... Yeah!
Ruby: (to Weiss) Oh, is this what it was like when you met me?
Weiss: No, she seems far more coordinated.
Yang: (changing the subject) So... what are you doing in Vale?
Penny: I'm here to fight in the tournament.
Craten: You? In the tournament?
Penny: Yes. (saluting) I'm combat ready!
Weiss: Forgive me, but you hardly look the part.
Y/N: Says the girl wearing a dress.
Sonro: Nice! (gives me a high five)
Weiss: (crosses arms) It's a combat skirt!
Ruby: Yeah! (Weiss holds out her hand and Ruby low-fives it)
Y/N: (sarcastic) Riiight. A 'combat' skirt.
Hanzo: Never underestimate your opponent. Even the least likely enemy can become the most destructive.
Weiss: (realization hitting) Wait a minute. (walks over to Penny and grabs her by the shoulders) if you're here for the tournament, does that mean you know that monkey-tailed... rapscallion?
Penny: The who...?
Weiss: (holds up a poor drawing) The filthy Faunus from the boat!
Karasu: (triggered) What is this!? The drawing explains nothing but disgusting symmetry! Where did you even have time to do this!?
Craten: Calm down, ya bloody pigeon.
Tyrone: Guys, please.
Blake: (ignores them) Why do you keep saying that?!
Weiss: (turns to her) Huh?
Blake: (angry) Stop calling him a rapscallion! Stop calling him a degenerate! He's a person!
Weiss: Oh, I'm sorry. (let's go and motions to objects around her) would you like me to stop referring to the trash can as a trash can? Or this lamppost as a lamppost?
Blake: (getting more irritated) Stop it!
Weiss: Stop what? He clearly broke the law. Give him time, he'll probably join up with those other Faunus in the White Fang!
I had enough.
Y/N: Ok Weiss seriously, shut up!
Weiss: How dare you!
Y/N: Me?! How about you?! You honestly think that just because he broke a couple rules that he's going to get involved with the White Fang? To be clear, I happened to know that faunus, his NAME is Sun and he happens to be a good friend of mine!
Weiss: (crosses her arms) Looks like I was wrong about you! You clearly have a poor taste in friends!
RBY: WEISS!!!
Y/N: I guess you're right because I thought that you were my friend! (walks away) I'll see you girls back at the dorm!
Third Person POV:
Blake: (growls, clenching her fist) You ignorant little brat!
Weiss: (offended) How dare you talk to me like that! I am your teammate!
Blake: You are a judgmental little girl.
Weiss: What in the world makes you say that?
Blake: The mere fact that you would sort that Faunus boy with a terrorist group solely based on his species makes you just as much of a scoundrel as you believe him to be!
Sonro: I'm gonna head back now.
Dean: Yeah, this'll get messy.
Penny: (smiles)Where are we going?
Weiss: So you admit it! The White Fang is just a radical group of terrorists!
Blake: That's not what I meant, and you know it!
(timeskip)
Y/N's POV:
I was waiting in our dorm, alone, playing with my guitar waiting for the girls to come back. I honestly hope that Blake can try to talk some sense into Weiss, I want her to be my friend but not if she's going to act like Cardin. They finally showed up with DVANT, but Blake and Weiss were still arguing.
Weiss: I don't understand why this is causing such a problem?
Blake: That is the problem!
Weiss: (getting up from her bed) You realize you are defending an organization that hates Humanity, don't you? The Faunus of the White Fang are pure evil!
Blake: (gets on her feet as well) there's no such thing as pure evil! Why do you think they hate Humanity so much? It's because of people like Cardin, people like you, that force the White Fang to take such drastic measures!
Weiss: People like me?
Blake: You're discriminatory!
Weiss: I'm a victim-!
They were interrupted by Týra throwing her axe in between Blake and Weiss, silencing them.
Týra: Enough! (both turn to her) We've been listening to you both argue like children for the past two and a half hours.
Dean: Yeah, this is ridiculous, guys. Both of you don't understand either side. (to Weiss) A lot of Faunus get mistreated because of their appearance, and you can't understand how they innocents feel when they get assaulted like that. The fact you're comparing innocents to the Fang is beyond disrespectful. (to Blake) And while I support why the White Fang was formed in the first place, their recent movements have been more violent not just to be corrupted, but innocents as well. That cause doesn't justify their actions.
They were surprised by this, even his teammates. They rarely saw Dean get serious like this, but every time he does, it was like talking to someone else entirely.
Weiss: Even so, it doesn't change the fact that they've been going after my family from the start.
Y/N: That's enough! (looks at Blake) Clearly there's some reason Weiss hates the White Fang, lets just ask her.
Blake: (still glaring at Weiss) Fine.
Y/N: (looks at Weiss) Now Weiss, why do you hate the White Fang so much?
Weiss: You want to know why I despise the White Fang? Why I don't particularly trust the Faunus? (leans against the bookshelf by the window) It's because they've been at war with my family for years. War, as in actual bloodshed. My grandfather's company has had a target painted across its back for as long as I can remember. And ever since I was a child, I've watched family friends disappear; board members executed; an entire train car full of Dust, stolen. And every day, my father would come home, furious. And that made for a very difficult childhood.
Ruby: (goes over to comfort her) Weiss, I-
Weiss: No! (turns away and walks back over to Blake) You want to know why I despise the White Fang? It's because they're a bunch of liars, thieves, and murderers!
Blake: Well maybe we were just tired of being pushed around!
The room fell silent and then it hit me, Blake is an Ex-White Fang member. I guess I shouldn't be too surprised.
Y/N: Blake?
Vali: Damnit.
Blake: I... I... (she dashes out the door)
Ruby: Blake, wait! Come back!
I sighed, put my guitar away and stood up from my bed.
Y/N: I'll go talk to her.
I ran out of the room to catch up to Blake and get her side of the story. I saw her sitting by a statue crying and her bow was off revealing her cat ears, they were kinda cute.
Y/N: (rubs her cat ears) Aww, their so cute!
Blake: Ah! (turns to me) Y/N don't scare me like that!
Y/N: (rubs the back of my head) Haha! Sooo, a cat Faunus?
Blake: (tries to cover her ears up)
Y/N: (thoughts while blushing) Oh my god, cuteness overload! (sighs before speaking) Blake, I could never hate you, you're to cute too.
Blake: (surprised and blushed) Y/N, I'm sorry.
Y/N: You have nothing to apologize for Blake. I'm not going to judge you because of your past with the White Fang because I wasn't there, and I haven't heard your side of the story.
Blake: B-but I used to be a member of the White Fang!
I wrapped my arm around her and pulled her into a comforting hug as she started to cry again.
Y/N: It's ok Blake, I don't see you any different. Besides (she looks at me) I think you look better without the bow.
She smiles and blushes a little.
???: I agree.
We both turned to see Sun standing behind us.
Sun: Hey Y/N, been a while!
Y/N: Hey Sun!
I got up and bro hugged him, he looked at Blake.
Sun: Nice to meet you, I'm Sun.
Blake: Nice to meet you too, I'm Blake.
Y/N: Well, who's up for coffee?
Sun: I'm down!
Blake: Ok, let's go.
???: Mind if I join in?
We turned and saw Nikki walking towards us.
Y/N: Nikki, what are you doing here?
Nikki: Dean sent me to keep an eye on you encase you do something reckless.
Y/N: Of course he did.
*two days later*
Third Person POV:
RWY and DVAT were walking through the empty streets of Vale. After Nikki went to check on Blake and Y/N, both girls and the boy went missing.
Ruby: They've been gone all weekend...
Weiss: Blake's a big girl, Y/N's fine, and Nikki's a second year, I'm sure they can handle themselves!
Dean: You're not helping.
Yang: Dean's right, Weiss. They're our teammates.
Weiss: Are they? We all heard what Blake said! And both Y/N and Nikki ran to her side.
Ruby: Weiss.
Vali: It doesn't matter what they are right now.
Yang: Either way, she's missing, and we need to find her!
Mimir: Indeed.
Ruby: I just hope they're okay...
Arcturus: (places a hand on her shoulder) I'm sure they're safe. They're tough.
Mimir: You're right there, lad. If we're lucky, the only threat they're dealing with is one of Karasu's symmetry speeches.
Dean's Thoughts: (checks his scroll) Come on, Nikki, where are you?
Elsewhere, Blake is sipping a cup of tea and sighing. She looks up at Sun sitting across from her, who holds his drink with his tail as his hand props his head up. Nikki has her own drink and sitting between them.
Y/N was sitting between Nikki and Blake wile drinking his coffee. Sun takes a sip when Blake puts her cup down.
Blake: So, you want to know more about me...
