In a faraway village called Never Better, lived a boy named Jeremy Johnson Johnson. Since childhood, he had been haunted by ghosts and had befriended them. However, Jeremy was ridiculed by people who assumed that he was talking to himself.
Jeremy's life changed when he met Ginger, a beautiful girl with whom he became close. He invited her to play a prank on the town baker, and their bond grew stronger when the prank worked. The two kids went on an adventure to save Jeremy's family bookstore. While saving the bookstore, Ginger and Jeremy unraveled the mystery of the disappearance of children in the village with the help of ghosts.
