I was at my place playing one of the songs I was half way through making and for the most part it sounded really good.

I played loudly as there was a loud knock on my door. I just scrunched my brows some and looked over at the door before pausing the music. I walked over to the door and opened it seeing a bouquet of flowers covering whoever's face this was at my door. They then moved it down as It was Donnie standing there. "Hey" I said with a smile. "What's up?" He asked as he placed a kiss on my lips before walking in. I just smiled and closed the door behind me. "These are for you" he said handing me the bouquet of flowers as I smiled. "For what?" I asked locking the door. "I know how much you like them and for your show tomorrow night" he said as I faintly smiled. "What? You can't make it?" I asked as he chuckled. "Nah I'm going to be there I can't miss that" he admitted as I smiled and just hugged him as he chuckled hugging me back.
"I heard you working on my song" he said as we pulled away from each other and I giggled beginning to head towards the kitchen. "Your song?" I asked as he followed. "Yeah I fuck with it" he admitted sitting at the island as I grabbed a vase filling it up with water before sitting it on the island. "I hope other people do too because "Be With you" is still going crazy and that's how I want this next song to be" I honestly said. "I really want a deal" I added. "You know you're going to get one, just give it a minute" he assured me as I took a breath. "I can see you with your own label though" he said as I smiled taking the flowers form out the plastic beginning to cut the stems off.
"Really?" I asked looking at him. "Yeah" he agreed with a smile as I shrugged. "I guess we have to see but I do want my own studio in my place when I start making money" I added as he chuckled and I continued doing what I was doing.
I just felt him look at me as I finally looked at him. "What?" I asked in a small laugh as he shook his head. "Nothing" he started off. "Every time Mary Anne gets flowers she does the same thing you're doing. You just remind me of her" he explained as I smiled. "I don't know if that's a good thing or bad thing" I said as he chuckled. "It's a good thing. She's a good woman" he assured making me smile. "I want you to meet her" he brought up as I paused and looked at him. "Meet her?" I Questioned. "Yeah when you go out to LA again let me know so we can set it up" he suggested as I smiled. "Sure but does she know about me?" I asked out of curiosity. "I mean I haven't actually told her we were dating as of yet" he started off as I playfully rolled my eyes. "But" he interrupted "she knows about you" he assured. "How about we take it slow I'm not in a rush and neither should you" I suggested. "Yeah but you know" he started off. "I don't want to waste any time with you. I really like you and I can see myself being with you for the long run" Donnie expressed as I just looked at him lost for words. "Donnie" I started off looking down. "Y/N I ain't trying to rush you." He said as I heard him getting up.
I finally looked over at him as he started walking around the island towards me. "I just want you to know I'm serious" he added. "I'm serious. I'm serious about us and I'm serious about you" he expressed looking down at me in my eyes. "I don't know all of what your ex did but Y/N I'm serious about you" he admitted as I just looked up at him. "D I'm serious about you too but you don't feel like you rushing just a bit?" I asked as he shook his head. "I ain't saying I'm going to propose to you right here, right now but I want you to know that you ain't no joke and I don't take you as a joke" Donnie said while grabbing my hand.
"What if your mother doesn't like me?" I questioned. "It's not about what she likes" he started off "but I know for a fact she'll like you" he assured as I smiled some. " when you're ready" he added as I smiled feeling him place a kiss on my head. I just washed my arms around his torso as he held me. I took in his strong cologne and just relaxed in his arms. It felt so good to be in his arms and presence. I loved the treatment and the way he just expressed how he felt about me was big of him. Too many men think they're being Simps by expressing themselves and their love for the girl they're with and I found it so sexy. I wanted him to stay like that though that's the trick, men actually staying like that.
I pulled away from him placing the flowers into the vase as I went over to my lap top and he sat in the seat playing around with the mic. "Uh After tonight." He started off "don't leave your girl round me, true player for real" he added. "Ask my niggas for real" he said mimicking usher from "u don't have to call". I just looked over at him smiling trying not to laugh as he returned the same look.
"I can't stand you for real" I said as he chuckled and he pulled me into his lap as I pressed "Play" for the song I was working on to play from the beginning. D just nodded his head to the beat as I smiled. "I really fuck with this" he expressed continuing to nod his head as I smiled."I don't know I feel like it's missing something" I said pausing the song. "I think you're being too hard on yourself it sounds perfect" he assured. "Now when you do the music video you need to have that bag over there" he joked as I just looked at him and we shared a small laugh.
My phone started ringing as I looked over at it. "handle your business" Donnie said as I reached for my phone that was sitting beside my lap top. I looked at it reading "Sarah Jenkins" which was my manager. I answered the phone placing it up to my ear as Donnie just held onto me. "Hello?" I answered. "Hey can you talk?" She asked. "yeah, what's going on?" I asked. "Atlantic records has a record deal worth 500,000 on the table for you" Sarah started off as I was silent for a moment. "I'm going to have your lawyer look over the deal but Atlantic Records wants you" she said. "I want to own my masters anything that I put out I should be able to make money off of it and if I can't then no I'll do it myself" I explained. "If anybody calls tell them immediately I want my masters and if they can't give it to me then I'll move onto the next person who can give it to me" I added. "Okay" she agreed as we said our goodbyes.
I placed my phone down then looked back at Donnie as his arms tightened around my waist and he kissed my shoulder. "What's up?" He asked. "I got a $500,000 record deal offer by Atlantic records but I don't know" I admitted. "If you not feeling confident about it, don't sign it" Donnie instructed. "I'm sure another one will come along and will probably be worth more than that" Donnie assured. "Just be patient" he added as I faintly smiled. "I just don't want nobody cheating me out of my cut or me being in debt you seen what happened with TLC" I expressed. "So you have you're lawyers read over it and you negotiate" Adonis said. "Trust me if they want you under their label they're going to do whatever they need to do to have you" he added as I faintly smiled laying my head on his. "Did you get another fight yet?" I asked "yeah I got one with Ricky Conlan" he answered as I pulled my head away from him and looked at him.
"The guy who lost his belt to gun possession charges?" I asked. "Yeah apparently he doesn't have anyone to fight due to the whole thing with him and wheeler" Donnie explained. "So you're going to take a fight against someone who's 36 and 0?" I asked as Donnie scrunched his brows and leaned away some while looking at me funny. "How you know so much about him?" He asked. "Because you're into boxing , I'm trying to learn more about it you know?" I asked as he smiled some. "But like I was saying" I interrupted. "You think this is a good idea. You're just getting in seriously" I asked genuinely concerned. "I got it, trust me" he assured. "When and where's the fight?" I asked.
"It's In London next weekend" he informed "I'll be there" I said nodding some with a smile as he smiled back , kissing my cheek.
