Pronouns: They/Them
Requested by: Zzzzzleeepyyyy
Ship: Reader x Alcina
Prompt: New maid joins and starts being a jerk (misgendering and offending the reader). Triplets and Isa get pissed — Alcina's reaction is up to me (the author)
Warning(s): Implied transphobia/misgendering (it's only implied because i completely forgot to add it until this was completed 💀)
"Yo," Isa called as they stepped out of a dark corner.
"Can you wear a bell if you're going to do that?"
"No," They deadpanned before flopping next to me. "...Has the new maid been nice to you? The triplets say-."
"Everything's fine," I cut them off and refocused on the sketch I was working on. "The new maids avoid me — don't worry."
Isa remained silent for a long time — making it obvious to me that they knew I was lying — before a soft sigh left them, bringing my attention to them as they stood and stretched. It hurt me to lie to them, but I also knew how angry they would get. When they first started, they were ecstatic to know I also used They/Them pronouns, allowing them to open up a bit more and quickly become my closest friend.
"Alright, I won't make you tell me," They murmured before glancing back at me, the red in their eyes fading as they placed a hand on my shoulder. "But just know, I'm here if you need to talk. I'd have a better chance at understanding everything than the rest of the castle."
"...You're gonna make me cry," I pouted before shaking my head. "Alci would've heard about it by now, trust me. You're overly worried for no reason."
"...Alright, I'll trust you on this one. But if I find out you're lying to me—."
"What are you gonna do? Pout?!"
"Yes."
"...OKAY! I'LL TELL THE TRUTH!" I sighed in exasperation. "There..."
I paused when the triplets entered, making me groan and roll my eyes. "All of you? Really?!"
"Yes, now continue," The four said in unison, making me sigh.
"Fine... The new maid... Keeps misgendering me."
Silence ensued — Isa being the first to speak up. "What was her name again?"
"Sierra... The uh—."
"Blonde American?" Cassandra finished for me, causing me to nod.
"Yeah, her," I whispered, sending them a sheepish smile. "You're not going to tell your mother, are you?"
The triplets shared a look before leaving in a swarm — leaving me with Isa whose eyes had returned to that deadly red color they get when they're angry or protective. In this case, it's both. "...Why didn't you tell us — me — sooner?"
"I was... holding out hope that she'd learn."
"Some people never change. Come on, let's get you to the lady... I'll convince the girls not to kill her so their mother can talk to her, but you have to be the one to tell lady Dimitrescu."
I sighed in exasperation. They were right and I knew it — if anyone else told Alcina, she'd be so furious that she'd lash out at the messenger as well. I followed them through the halls, fidgeting with the necklace Alcina asked Isa to make me. 'Wait... How long did it take them to make this?!'
With a shake of my head, I dispelled the thought, feeling my heart nearly stop upon seeing the doors to Alcina's study. 'The last time I was this nervous to see her was when I confessed. Okay, [Y/N], you can do this.' I froze before my hand could grab the door handle, nearly jumping out of my skin when Isa's voice sounded next to my ear — deeper than normal.
"I can always use my magic-,"
"N-no," I stuttered out, gently moving them away. "Go help the girls, I can do this."
"As you wish," Isa bowed at 15 degrees before standing straight again. "Oh and, you know where to find me if you need someone else to listen."
"Thank you, Isa. I mean it."
"Don't get all sappy on me. I have a reputation to keep."
"..." I flicked their forehead and smiled at their whine. "Whatever, loser. Go."
Isa flashed a smile my way before they took off, leaving me to turn my attention back to the door. 'She heard all of that, I know she did... Okay, now or never.' I took a deep breath before opening the door, shooting Alcina — who was already staring at the door and patiently waiting for me to enter — a smile as I shut the door.
Alcina motioned to the chair across from her silently, making me swallow nervously before moving away from the door. I sucked in a sharp breath once I made it to the chair she motioned to, nervously gripping the back of it. 'This is the right thing to do. She needs to know — that maid needs to pay...' Tears started to sting my eyes before I moved over to Alcina, letting her pick me up and put me in her lap.
"Love," Alcina cooed softly, holding me closer when tears finally started falling. "What's wrong?"
"N-new m-ma-maid," I hiccuped, clutching her dress. 'Pull yourself together!'
"Shh, it's okay, let it out first, explain later."
I nodded and continued crying — hours later, I managed to stop, exhaustion creeping up my spine. My eyes felt heavy as I managed to lift my head from Alcina's chest, wiping away a few stray tears. Alcina remained silent — waiting for me to speak first. When I finally lifted my gaze to lock with hers, I managed to send her a small smile. It was exhausting to smile, but I managed to do so anyway.
"Thank you," I whispered before kissing her cheek. "The new maid... I was hoping she would stop but... The misgendering kept happening — I-I wanted to be optimistic-!"
"It's okay," Alcina cooed as she rubbed my back, signaling that I was riling myself up again. "I'll deal with her. I do not tolerate that kind of behavior, so I will deal with her personally."
"The girls and Isa should have her isolated now if you-."
"I'd rather be here for you now," She whispered and pecked my lips. "She can stay locked in the basement until you're ready to be without me again."
"...Dear mother Miranda..." I muttered breathlessly at her words. "I am in love with you, Alcina."
"I know."

yes, alcina saying "i know" in response to y/n saying "i love you" is a star wars reference <3 i was raised on star wars i'd be remiss if i didn't quote it eventually
Hi all! first; as you can see, I'll be switching to a first-person POV when writing in the one-shot book! This means old parts will be updated to include the change when I go through and do editing either this weekend or next weekend
second; I was hoping to open requests soon, but I think I'm going to wait until sometime next month ❤️ I haven't been sleeping long lately so I want to try to fix that before opening requests
HOWEVER, there was one request that was put on an author's note a while ago that I'd like to write, but since that author's note was deleted, the comment is gone (and I'm so sorry I don't remember your user name I should've screenshotted the comment like I told myself to)
If you recognize this prompt as one you commented, please let me know so that when I write it, I can give proper credit for the idea;
"Isa and the triplets are toddlers/little kids and have a little play date. The reader, Isa's mother in this, arrives to pick Isa up. When they notice the reader, they get excited and yell for "Mama" before running toward the reader."
I, sadly, don't remember the entire prompt, but that was about what I could remember. It would be a reader x Alcina one-shot and honestly, might be on the longer side of my one-shots because I find this idea to be adorable and I have an idea in mind on how to get the reader and Alcina together ❤️
But as I said, I want to make sure I give proper credit, so if the person that requested this still reads my works, I'll gladly write this request for you once I can properly credit you for it ❤️
