Lily's POV:
After I signed my consent to the chemotherapy, I told my dad and Felicia. They smiled and supported me the best way they could. I still had some second thoughts about this but the strength I needed was i would have fought for this.
And's that way better than not fighting at all. The chemotherapy started this morning and me and my father met with Fredrick. I was in stable condition, but my liver was still failing.
I wasn't just fighting for my life but for a spot into the list of transplant patients in need of a new liver. I think I contributed into my liver failure, including with my addiction.
I was destroying my body and I didn't even know. I got my blood pressure, pulse, breathing, and temperature taken before starting treatment. Which felt like hours and hours including with feedback.
I was in a room filled with people with cancer. They looked worse than me but still were able to keep a smile on their face. I had an iv tube placed in me as I sat on the uncomfortable couch. They dosed me with the anti-cancer bag.
After 6 hours of chemo rounds, i felt a bit weak. They prescribed me: Afinitor Atezolizumab, Doxorubicin Hydrochloride, and Duralumin which will help with the symptoms I'm about to face when I go home.
Tomorrow after school i would have to go again for chemo at least 5 times a week. Feels like a job but i know i can do this. I head to my room after having a check-up from my dad like usual.
I check my phone and got a reminder that we are having college fares at our school. Time is rushing fast, and i need to make up with Ashley. She needs to understand, and she needs to fight as well.
I head to the washroom and look in a mirror. I see how pale i looked. I take the nasal off my nose. I breathed in hard feeling real air for the first time again. I put the bag in my room as i head to take a shower.
Once i finished, i headed to my room. I lay on my bed with a tank top and jogging pants.

In the morning I felt more sick than yesterday. I rushed to the bathroom and vomited. I felt so sick, this chemo is giving me slaps right now. After i finished, i brushed my teeth and rinse my hands.
I head to the shower and once I finished I headed to my room. I changed to a grey buttoned shirt and jeans.I head outside and smell my favourite food being cooked downstairs.
I head downstairs and see my dad cooking pasta and egg. He looked at me and smiled. He placed a plate on the table and i head to the kitchen. ''Thank you'' i took a bite of the bacon and smiled from the taste.
He rubbed his hands and smiled like he was in a cooking show. He took out some of the pre-medications i was prescribed and placed each pill on the side of the plate giving me an orange juice to drink it with.
Great and i was just trying to forget that i am sick. I took the pills and ate some of the food. I get up and put on my jacket. ''Let me drive you'' he said and i shook my head.
''I'm sick, not crippled'' i took my keys and headed out. Hearing have a fun day at school by him. I enter the car and drive to the school. I enter the school and see Felicia waiting for me near the door.
''How are you?'' she asked and gave me a hug. ''Yeah, chemo is something'' i chuckled and she frowned. We walked down the hallway seeing people with college sweaters. ''People are already getting accepted?''
She got in front of me and unbutton her extra layer shirt. I see a logo of Dartmouth. I then remembered that I did send in an application for brown. I never understood my desire for med school, but I took the chance and sent in for Princeton and two others.
I haven't checked since I applied. I have had so much... Well you know. ''Congrats'' i hugged her, and she squealed. We walked into the gym seeing everyone walk around with campus teams showing bashers and manuals.
My eyes land on Ashley as she seemed to be looking at the Manuel transcript of community college. ''Excuse me for a second'' i walk behind her and hear her sigh. ''Your brain is too hot for something so small''
She turned to me and looked at me like she saw a ghost. ''Well it's the only thing i can afford'' she said putting the Manuel in her bag, she turned to me. She walked past me and started looking at cheaper options for colleges.
This is not the life i planned for her to have. I walk to her and saw her staring at Northern State University. ''I wouldn't even recommend looking at that. I mean the-''
She turned to me and asked ''What are you doing?'' I wanted to tell her the choice I made. For us. I don't know she is giving me the cold shoulder? Actually I do. ''You are doing what you always do"
She looked at me in a confused look. ''Like what? Lie? I don't remember doing anything like that''
''You take easier options because you think that's all you have, but you don't. There are scholarships, student loans''
She scoffed and said ''You grew up rich and-'' I couldn't let her talk to me like i don't understand struggle. ''Why don't you focus on yourself and i would focus on myself'' she said and i know she knew i was right.
