Val's POV
It's been days since the family prank day and it's been quite interesting.
We were all right now hanging out as a family and all.
"Hey, Val?"
"Yeah" I responded turning to him
"Why haven't you called mom by mother?" He asked with a confused look
"Well that's because she's not my mother" Everything stopped. The whole world stood to a stand still.
Every single person looked at me when I said that. Mom had a shocked yet hurt look and everyone looked mad, confused and sad.
"She finally reveals her true colours" Kade commented
"Why?"
"Well because when I was walking to the park one day, a kid came up to me and sat next to me. So we started talking and then he, out of the blue, said "Did you know that you can't call your mom your mother" and I asked "why not?" and he said "because your mother is not your biological mom but just a person that acts like your mom" and then I asked "so you're telling me that I mustn't call my biological mom by mother but by mom because mother means that it's not your biological mom but a person you call your mom" and he responded with a confident "yes" and from then on I have stopped calling mom by mother"
Everyone looked at me like I had just said I'm going on a diet, which by the way is never.
"What?" Someone broke the silence and I didn't bother knowing who
"You know what, never mind" with that I walked away to my room
*LATER THAT DAY*
"Okay Val, you have to copy what I say but the opposite, okay" Santi said to me as he sat next to on the couch.
"Okay, but what for? " I asked him
"I bet I can make you say I'm beautiful or handsome " he said confidently that I almost felt bad for the guy, key word almost.
"Whatever floats your boat" I said while shrugging and faced him as he did the same

"You're beautiful, wait what?" And that's how, ladies and gentlemen, you get your brother to compliment you.
"That's not fair" everyone laughed at Santi's excuse. I didn't realize when we had gained an audience but this was awesome.
Everyone sobered up and went back to what they were doing while I went to the garden mom recently started. I sat on the bench and calmed down.
"You're nothing but an attention seeker, you know?" I felt him before I saw him
"I have no one to impress so no, I don't know" I replied to him as I opened my eyes.
Kane came to stand directly Infront of me and stared down at me.
"Why did you come back? Everything was fine without you here" he sneered at me
"I didn't know I needed permission from you to come back to my home" I said to him unaffected
"No wonder why they kidnapped you, you're nothing but a self-centered bitch who thinks she's all that just because she survived being kidnapped twice. If you ask me, they should have killed you instead then maybe we would be much happier, but instead we are stuck with a useless girl who know nothing than to make jokes and play pranks on everyone" he ranted out but unbeknown to him, he awake the beast
Before any damage could be done I ran away to my room and slammed my door closed
He better hope I have calmed down by dinner time
*DINNER TIME*
I had not as yet calmed down and it's dinner time.
Taking a deep breath I gave myself a pep talk
We just have to calm down
Calm down, you're telling me to calm down when that son of a bitch thinks that he is all that just because he has a dick and I have a vagina, sorry aunty
Wow, that was one way to put it
I walked to the dining room with my head down and my breathing getting heavier by the second.
I had to calm down.
I quickly took my seat as soon as I arrived and began eating after we said grace.
Halfway through my meal I dropped my spoon and held my right hand tightly.
"Is everything ok" dad asked me and I nodded. I couldn't talk or else I'll be like a volcano that has erupted.
"And now she's mute" Kane commented from across the table
"What was that?" Mateo asked
"What I meant was wh-" before he could continue, he was cut off by a growl
Uh oh
Third Person's POV
A growl came out of Val's mouth and everything came to a standstill. Suddenly, without anyone knowing, she snapped her head up towards Kane and he flinched back when he saw her pitch black eyes
"What the-" he was once again cut off when a white snake was making it's way around Val's body until it was above her head and hissing at him.
Suddenly snakes filled the whole place and everyone panicked
"We've had it with your nonsense and you telling us that we're pathetic. Listen here you stupid boy, you know nothing about what we have been through and if you experienced even a quarter of it then you wouldn't even be alive. If it wasn't for the fact that you are family then I would have already detached your head from your body. "
"Now listen and listen carefully, if you have nothing better to say to me then don't talk to me at all"
