I don't own Boku no Hero academia/My Hero academia. I do however own fingerless gloves. ⬧︎⬧︎⬧︎⬧︎⬧︎⬧︎⬧︎⬧︎⬧︎⬧︎⬧︎⬧︎⬧︎⬧︎⬧︎⬧︎⬧︎⬧︎⬧︎⬧︎⬧︎⬧︎⬧︎⬧︎⬧︎⬧︎⬧︎⬧︎⬧︎⬧︎⬧︎⬧︎⬧︎⬧︎

I was woken up by my alarm aggressively beeping away.

"Huh? I'm awake." I said groggily searching for the button that would turn the alarm off.

After finally turning off my alarm I sat up in my bed. Groggily rubbing my eyes, I let out a groan morning had come. I stretched my arms over my head and my back made several cracking and popping noises. My mouth was uncomfortably dry, and it felt like somebody had put a paper towel in it. Letting out a displeased grunt I stumbled out of bed to get some water. My wrists were sore which made me wonder what kind of weird position I had been sleeping in.

I turned on the water tab in my kitchen and got myself a glass of water to get rid of my dry mouth.

I kind of just stood in the middle of my apartment with my glass of water still trying to wake up. It felt like my brain was currently a Windows loading screen. Taking a sip of my water I walked back into the kitchen and took out a box of cereal. Opening the fridge I got some milk and placed it on the kitchen counter. I got a bowl and a spoon and placed them beside the cereals. I poured the milk into my bowl but stopped mid-action.

"Wait, there is something about this doesn't feel right... but I can't figure out what it is."

But my brain was still too sleepy to figure out what was wrong.

I sleepily ate my cereals while staring at nothing in particular. I was still waking up and seemed like it would be at least another 5 minutes before I would fully wake up. Maybe a shower would help? Finishing my bowl of cereals, I walked over to the sink and placed and put the bowl down. I cleaned the bowl and the spoon and put them back where they belonged and proceeded to drag my way over to my closet. I picked some training clothes and walked to the bathroom.

The shower did help, and I felt refreshed and ready to face the day. I decided that I would swing by The Quirk Doctor Department's headquarters and use one of the training rooms. I packed a small bag with a towel, a change of clothes, a water bottle and some snacks. I also packed my wallet and my phone and, of course, the most important thing my ID card. I would be able to get in without it.

Putting on a hoodie and my shoes, I was ready to head out. I patted the pocket of my hoodie and realised that I did not have my keys. I frowned my eyebrows in confusion as I patted my outfit down.

"Where in the world did I put my keys."

After about 3 minutes of searching, I finally managed to find my keys, and with that, I was on my way. Locking the door behind me, I got out my phone and earbuds. I put on a random playlist and started my journey towards Q.D.D

I woke up quite early, considering I forgot to turn off my alarm. I love waking up at half six in the morning when I could have slept until noon. It is my favourite. Note the sarcasm because I most definitely would have loved to sleep some more. But once I am awake, I can not fall asleep again.

It is my own personal curse.

I hummed along with the music I was listening to as walked down the street. It amazes me how much faster time feels when You are listening to music. One moment you are outside your home the next moment you are almost at your destination.

I could see the building where Q.D.D headquarters was located now so there really was not much left of the journey. I spotted another Quirk Doctor on their way towards the building. It was hard to miss them since they were wearing the Quirk Doctor medical coat. The blue strips on it were practically glowing in the daylight.

I picked up my pace and did a small jog to catch up to them. While making my way towards them I removed my earbuds and paused the music. I was now close enough to be able to recognise the person. There was only one Quirk Doctor with neon blue hair that I knew. Nakamura Keiji. Before anyone asks yes that is indeed his natural hair colour. It was almost the same colour as the strips on his coat.

"Oi, Nakamura." I said.

Nakamura turned his head from side to side probably looking for the person who had said his name.

"Look behind you."

To my luck, Nakamuradid actually look behind him. His glowing neon green eyes scanned the area before landing on me. He gave me a small wave and stopped walking waiting for me to catch up. With some large steps, I was soon right beside him.

"Good morning, Nakamura." I greeted him with a sing-song voice.

"Good morning to you too, (l/n)."

Nakamura was one of my seniors. Specifically, the one who oversaw my work back when I first got my licence. I spent about seven months under his watchful eye before I was allowed to work on my own. Which is only one month longer than average. Normally, you spent about half a year with a certified Quirk Doctor after getting your licence. Some spent less and some spent more. I was a bit slower than others, but Nakamura did not seem to mind having to oversee my work for a bit longer.

"Are you going to HQ?" I asked Nakamura

"Yes, I am on my way to the headquarter"

I nodded my head before asking my next question.

"Would you mind if I accompanied you there?"

"I don't mind at all. Heading to work?" Nakamura asked.

I shook my head at his question. and gave him a big smile.

"I have the day off. I just finished helping U.A High School with some of their exams." I explained.

"That's nice. But why are you on the way to the headquarter then?"

"I was thinking I was going to do some training. Since you can't use your quirk in a normal fitness centre, I thought I would use one of our own training rooms." I hummed.

Nakamura gave me a nod and then we started walking again.

We began to chit-chat as we walked, talking about whatever came to our minds.

It was nice to catch up with Nakamura again. I had not been able to see him for a long time. We each had our own work to do. It made sense he was no longer tasked to oversee my work and we worked in two different parts of Japan, so it made sense that I had seen him for a while. Nakamura worked in areas with big forests, mountains and smaller cities. It was the perfect environment for someone with his quirk. Nakamura is basically a human glowstick, to sum up, his quirk. So, it made a lot of sense that he worked in areas where natural light had a hard time finding its way. He was also extremely skilled at doing night rescues. Nakamura was also just a skilled Quirk Doctor in general. But he had also been working as a Quirk Doctor for a long time.

"It is so nice to see you have become an excellent young Quirk Doctor." Nakamura said with a fond tone.

"I admit I was a bit worried when I was first assigned to oversee you. You were such a young person. If I recall correctly, you were the youngest in your class. A lot of my co-workers were actually worried it would be too hard for you, since you were so young. But you pulled through and look at you know. Helping one of the most well know Hero schools."

"Oh, please I was hardly the youngest Quirk Doctor on the field. It's true that I was the youngest in my class but the year after me had an even younger person." I giggled.

"I know I know. But I still remember the young Quirk Doctor who called me a human glowstick to my face." Nakamura chuckled.

I shook my head and let out a small huff.

"It's a fitting description. You are a human glowstick."

"While I admit it is a fitting description it was still not what expected to hear from you the first day we met. I was giving you a detailed description of my quirk. Only for you to go: So, you are basically a human glow stick." He chuckled yet again

I smiled at the memory. I had worked on my own for so long that it honestly felt like centuries ago.

"Back in my days as new Quirk Doctors wouldn't have dared to even think something like that about our seniors. How the times have changed. I think it is way better now. It makes it easier for new Quirk Doctors to become part of the crew." Nakamura hummed.

Sometimes I honestly forget how old Nakamura actually is. He looked like he was maybe just a few years older than me. But in reality, he was several years older than me. Nakamura was a 48-year-old man with the face of 28 year old

We both arrived at the entrance of Q.D.D headquarters and said our goodbyes since we were going two different ways. Nakamura said he had a meeting with some civilians, so he had to get them at the reception. I walked up to the big glass door a placed my ID card on the little scanner that was placed on the wall. I typed in my code and soon after the door opened worth a: "Access granted" revealing the inside of the building.

I walked in and went straight for the training rooms. I walked past several co-workers and students as I made my way down the hallway. After a bit of walking, I arrived at one of the several locker rooms. I walked in scanning the many lockers for the one with my name on it. Spotting my locker, I used my code to open it. I took off my hoodie and put it in the locker alongside all my other stuff. The only thing I did not lock away in my locker was my water bottle. I grabbed my water bottle closed the locker and made my way to the training room. The door to the training room was connected to the locker room so just had to walk to the other end of the room. I took a small sip of water and opened the door.

"This is why you don't have a partner."

"Just you wait I'm going to go up on the roof and sing Fight Song and then everyone will be in love with me."

That was the conversation I entered the training room too.

In the middle of the room stood two of my co-workers wearing training clothes. They seemed to be in the middle of having a very strange argument.

"Good morning, Iwasaki. Good morning, Sugawara." I greeted the two.

The man and the woman both turned their attention to me. Iwasaki was the first to say something.

"Good morning, (l/n)." She said.

The next one to say something was Sugawara who greeted me with a pout.

"Morning (l/n). Iwasaki is being mean to me."

The woman beside him let out a sigh and gave Sugawara a light smack on his arm.

"No, I'm not. I'm just stating facts." Iwasaki sighed again.

Looks like the two of them were in the middle of their usual bantering. Do not let their snarky comments fool you. The two of them are best friends. They have probably been friends since the beginning of their careers.

Iwasaki Akari was a tall slender woman, reaching about 198 cm. She had long snow-white hair and completely black eyes. Above her head was a glowing blue halo. She might come off as a bit cold at first glance but assure you she is a very nice lady.

Then there was Sugawara Ayato. An average-height man with yellow eyes and black hair that was always tied in a ponytail. The veins in his body were glowing with a dark red tint. Most people would properly describe him as a friendly man with a bright smile.

"What brings you to our humble training room?" Sugawara asked.

"Here to do some quirk training." I answered.

Sugawara and Iwasaki both gave me a nod in response.

"We were both just doing regular training. But we wouldn't mind helping you out with whatever you were about to do. Right, Iwasaki?" Sugawara said with a bright smile. He was clearly waiting for Iwasaki to say something.

"Sure thing. Don't have much else to do. Training is training."

I gave the two of them a smile.

"That would be nice. Training with co-workers sounds nice."

And with that, the training began.

"Would you hold my hand even if it hurts you?" Is a piece of fan-made literature and is simply made for fellow fans to enjoy.

Boku no Hero academia/My Hero academia and all its characters belong to Kōhei Horikoshi.

I do not in any way claim ownership of the franchise or its characters.

The story I tell is not meant to be part of the canon storyline and is just something I imagined.

This story is for entrainment outside of the original franchise.

A/N

Turns out writing on pc is surprisingly hard when you have an eye infection. But anyway we hit 30 chapters. YAY!

Anyway. After working on this story for so long a question popped into my mind. What does (y/n) look like in your head? I'm pretty sure we all have a different image of (y/n), since it's, well, (y/n). So I'm curious what does your (y/n) look like? I would love to read/see what they look like. There really isn't a right or wrong answer since it's (y/n).

Another thing. I tried to make a playlist for the fanfic and failed miserably. Maybe there will be one in the future maybe there won't who knows? Is there any song you people associate with this fanfic? Feel free to let me know.

Drink water people.
