Summary: Nat finds out she's having a baby
It was a normal morning for Natasha. She had gotten the day off from Work, meaning no missions or mission reports. The assasins mood was not the best though. The redhead had been feeling sick for the last couple of weeks, constant nausea and headaches.
Even though she knew it would be impossible, Natasha now found herself at the store, looking for pregnancy tests. She felt quite ridiculous to be frank, but the feeling wouldn't let her go. So, after looking at the great variety of tests, she seized one randomly and made her way to the register.
Back at the compound, Natasha immediately went to her bathroom. Only Wanda and Steve were home, the rest of the Avengers had gone on a mission and weren't to return until the evening. Still, the redhead wasn't exactly keen on her boyfriend or Wanda to get suspicious.
A few minutes later, Nat was reading the instructions of the test.
,,Man this is a whole witchcraft"
she muttered to herself, frustrated on bow long the instruction was. In the end, she just said fuck it and peed on the stick. It would be negative anyways, that's what she told herself.
Besides, how in the world would she be able to get pregnant anyways? Back in the redroom, they took all her reproductive system away, but something in the back of her head told her she needed to take a test.
Nervously, Nat paced up and down her bathroom. The test was taking awfully long. At the same time, she was scared to look. The chances were next to zero, right?
Two more minutes passed, before the assassin was finally able to look. When she did, her heart skipped a beat.
,,Two lines..."
she muttered, as she sunk to the floor. Natasha stared at the positive pregnancy test for a good ten minutes.
,,Hey Nat, can I come in?"
the voice of Steve Rogers inquired from outside the bathroom. He was worried about his girl, due to her constant nausea.
,,Uhh, yea come in but close the door behind you"
Natasha answered. She needed someone else to look at the test and tell her it was indeed positive.
Steve's head appeared in the door frame. He expected to see his girlfriend washing her hands or something, but what he hadn't expected was a stick of plastic with two lines to be shoved into his face.
,,Tell me what you see"
The assasin ordered, a stern expression on her face.
,,It looks like... a pregnancy test to me"
Steve replied, still confused on what was going on. Natasha rolled her eyes.
,,Yea I knew that but what does it say? I think I might be hallucinating, because I see two lines"
Natasha explained as if it was the most common thing to say. Steve took a second look at the test, making sure that his eyes weren't deceiving him.
,,Nat, there are two lines!? Are you pranking me?"
He finally asked, his blue eyes meeting Natashas green ones.
,,I am most definitely not pranking you, Steve. If there are really two lines that means that I'm..."
The redhead explained, struggling to form the words in her mouth.
,,That I'm pregnant. We're gonna have a baby"
She finished the sentence, finally realising what this meant.
Steve had a smile on his face. A bright one. He hugged Natasha gently, before pressing a kiss to her lips.
,,This is our miracle"
Natasha breathed. She cringed at herself for getting sappy, but she knew she wanted to keep her little one as loved and protected as she possibly could.
,,Getting sappy now? You're right though, this child is a miracle"
Steve replied, his hand on Nats cheek. He too wanted to keep this child as protected as humanly possible.
From that moment on, things were about to change, everyone knew that. Little Alena was gonna be the joy of everyone who was to set their eyes on her and she hadn't even arrived yet.
