We are back with a new chapter after 5 months, been really busy y'all with uni. Hope you guys understand and make sure to leave your thoughts on the chapter and vote!
Summary & Context for What's going on right now incase y'all forgot.
They are currently at the chairman Sakayanagi's mansion after Ayanokoji left ANHS on purpose while fighting it out with Takuya Yagami. Ayanokoji and his father are talking it out trying to reach an agreement. At this point, Kiyo is trying to persuade his dad into freeing him from the WR but his dad is insistent on him returning and is set on that. He won't let kiyotaka go and understands his potential. Kiyotaka is failing to persuade him, realizing how much power he lacks in the real world against people of actual standing in society.
Recap:
Only I know that even in my white room days, I restricted myself from performing at my peak level and held myself back so in truth, not even that man knows the full extent of what I can do. In my generation, even me at 50% was enough to defeat everyone else with ease but that 50% seems to be a challenge against the likes of the newest generation.
Doubts started filling his mind about my true competence and level of usefulness to him. I was more of an incomplete product than any new generation white room product could ever be, if anything most of them required much less polishing than I did. However, his doubt was not enough to change his mind.
I was only a student, I had no actual power in this universe in the real world as I am now, and it was really showing here.
This conversation between us had been dragging out for too long and I think it's about time I get an answer out of this.
His mind was set in stone at this point. And although I can't speak my way out of this, I can only think of a stopgap to resolve my issue for now. Atsuomi was a man who never went back on his words and once he was set on something, he'd make sure to carry it out.
"How about we make an agreement" I tell him.
New Part:
"What would that be." Replied the man
"Are you truly settled on making me return to that place, no matter what I do today?"
"You already know the answer to that, yes I am."
"Then what happens to me when I'm an adult, or when I would typically graduate from high school? Surely, I won't spend my 20's in the white room as well?"
"I have plans for you, to be the new successor of the current leader of the primary Japanese political party and to have you become elected for the new prime minister of the country in the later future. Obviously, you'll need the right training for that to be someone who will make this country something ideal."
I see... but do I really care for such a thing? What is in it for me to become the prime minister? I have no such interest in politics but that's what he's settled for me.
But... if it goes according to plan, I can go along with him and my fate, my fate will be decided in a bit over a years time from now. And it won't be in my hands.
I'll do it, I'll put my trust in my peers. I'll bank everything on them to do it for me. But I'll need a massive favor from the chairman as well. It's a matter of everything needing to fall into place for me but I'm hopeful.
"I see... I wouldn't mind something like that, I've always had a interest in politics but I never knew you had something like this prepared for me. This could've been solved if you told me this much earlier. But what happens to my place in the school?" I replied, blatantly lying but realistic enough for him to fall for.
"That's not a concern, the Chairman will handle it. The truth is, I've had multiple plans for you which I hadn't decided on until today but I'm pleased that we've finally come to an agreement. Sakayanagi, our apologies for the trouble, I'll be taking Kiyotaka back with me as you heard just now." He said, then diverting his attention to the chairman and getting up from his chair.
"Before we leave, may I have a moment with the Chairman, I would like to give him my regards for the past 2 years and for allowing me to experience high school. I will meet you outside the door." I told the man.
He nodded before he stepped outside where he had 2 bodyguards waiting for him and stood out of hearing range from me.
"This isn't the outcome I was expecting Ayanokoji-kun, is this what you're satisfied with?" The chairman asked me.
No it completely wasn't but to be able to improvise and have a plan B is one I always had prepared.
"It, it isn't. But for it to be, I'll need your help." I asked the chairman.
"I thought so... well, It's always in my best interest to assist you in anyway I can. This battle you are fighting, is one I wish to see you win at the end. How may I help you?" He kindly asked me.
There no amount of money I can give this man to show my gratitude for him, and all I can do is accept his kindness and do my best to repay him whether it be indirectly or directly in some way in the future.
"I need my name enlisted back to class 2-B, where Suzune Horikita is the leader. Please return any of the points that were spent on me back to class 2-A and lastly, transfer all of my remaining private points to Kei Karuizawa. Instead of having me dropped out of the school, have my name enrolled in that class, but I'll be gone for medical leave. It doesn't have to be believable, just don't remove my name from that class."
"That's... quite an ask Ayanokoji-kun. We're not allowed to make any outside interference into the workings of the students but... this... I'll make an exception. However, if you want to stay enrolled, I'm afraid I can't transfer your private points to Karuizawa. Your points will be accessible to nobody is all that'll happen."
That's all I need to hear, as long as the first 2 can be done. It's not like I had a large amount of points anyways so it didn't matter as much.
"I appreciate it Mr. Chairman. I will explain... No, you will see why I asked of this from you in about 1 and a half years from now. I'll be taking my leave now, let us meet in the near future." I told him as I slowly turned around to leave the conference room.
That was it. Who knew?
That the day I exited the high school campus due to the battle with Yagami would potentially be the last time I would ever step foot in that campus.
The students of the advance nurturing high school would never see my face again for the remainder of their student lives there.
Or would they? Only the future knows.
I followed the bodyguards as we slowly walked out the mansion.
It was a gloomy night, with no wind and a eerie vibe. Clear skies, with the moon as bright as ever as I laid my eyes at the luxurious SUV in the driveway waiting for me and my exit from this property.
I looked behind me to the sight of Arisu's sister, Akiha Sakayangi, who looked at me with a saddened face and waved me goodbye. This was likely the last time I would see her as well.
Almost like being arrested and sent to prison, I slowly stepped foot inside the car and was driven away. Back to the white room, where it all began.
Back at Advance Nurturing High School:
It was an average evening on the campus. Students were going about their lives like normal, spending time at karaoke, studying, hanging out with friends.
At first glance, nothing seemed to change except one thing, there would no longer be the presence of Kiyotaka Ayanokoji in this facility.
A student who discretely single handedly changed the culture of his once, seemingly hopeless class 1-D into a class of students who can hold there own and strive for great things. That class, with a leader who's development into a sight for the eyes. A class, now with all the right pieces to achieve class-A.
That night, in her dorm room. A stressed Kei Karuizawa was actively refreshing her phone every few seconds with many thoughts on her mind to find out the outcome of her future.
She was on the page of the OAA app that displayed the students enrolled within each class. Specifically, she was refreshing her own class's students page rapidly.
"Ah- There it is... This, Ah- this is no good..." Kei spoke to herself in a tone that had become extremely saddened.
A name, that had not been there for merely 3 weeks was now there. The name "Kiyotaka Ayanokoji" had appeared in the class list for students in class-B. He was only a class-A student for about 3 weeks after he dramatically transferred over but clearly, things hadn't gone to plan.
Kei knew what this meant, and slowly, she started tearing up. And sooner than later, she was in tears, crying. His name being on there meant one things, that he had to resort to plan B and more importantly, that she wouldn't be able to see Kiyotaka Ayanokoji for an unknown period of time. Plan A, being obviously that he was successful in talking it out with his father, but that was no good.
She now had no clue when they would ever meet again.
Kei POV:
This... this is not the outcome I was hoping for. Not at the slightest, but here I am facing down this, almost like a prison sentence of losing him. I have not a clue how long this prison sentence will last either and all I'm left with now is a responsibility on my shoulders.
To successfully carry this out would mean victory for him I'm sure, and while I don't know all the details. I have to recollect myself and calm down.
Calm down Kei.. You can do this. No, you have to do this for the sake of him.
I slowly, but surely recollect myself.
I knew that if his name remained on class-A's list than he had been successful in his initial plan, but seeing as he was instead now in our class again, this meant plan B had to be underway. I was told to contact Horikita and Yosuke instantly after knowing and tell them everything of what should happen.
In all fairness, It wasn't even a plan. More like, it was something that just to be done regardless. But in it being successful, it also benefits Kiyotaka massively.
I picked up my phone and rang Horikita-san right away.
"Karuizawa-san? It's almost 11:00PM. Is something wrong?" Horikita says after picking up the phone.
"Horikita-san, it's something extremely important, please come over to my room right now, I'm calling Yosuke-kun as well. Please hurry." I reply
"O-Okay, this sounds serious, I'll be over right away give me 5 minutes Karuizawa-san." She replied as she hung up.
I called Yosuke-kun as well, and shortly both of them showed up and the meeting had now started.
"Horikita-san, Yosuke-kun, thanks for showing up so quickly, The details of what I'm about to say now has to stay strictly a secret between only between us 3, until I say so in the future. Can you guys promise me that?" I asked them.
Horikita-san and Yosuke-kun promptly nodded with a serious look on their faces, allowing me to begin my explanation. My explanation of everything that we have to try to accomplish in order to not only benefit us but also Kiyotaka.
"I want you guys to check our class list on the OAA app. It's regarding him"
