By lunch time she woke up and found Virat sitting by her side. She tried to get up, and winced in pain which caught attention of Virat.
He immediately helped her sit up.
"Bachaa, dhyan se." He said softly. He patted her head.
She looked up to him.
"I am hungry!" She said meekly.
"I have ordered our lunch, it will come in a while, okay kiddo!"
She nodded and looked down. He stared at her.
The waiter came with their food and left.
Virat sat beside her and started feeding her. She kept looking at him in between.
Some food particle was stuck near her mouth, he tried removing it but she flinched at the touch. He gave her medicines, and got cream to apply on her bruises. He went near her to apply she got scared was shivering a bit.
He carrased her head gently to calm her down. He then applied cream gently, she hissed in pain, this hurt Virat.
"It's done, bass. See!" He said softly.
She rested her head on the backrest.
Two Years Ago:
Virat was sitting on the couch sipping his tea, doing some work on laptop, when Aarya came searching for him.
"Bhaii!" She finally found and sat beside him.
"Yes bacha?"
"Bhai voh Harshad proposed for marriage today!"
"Marriage??" He asked shocked.
"Yes bhai!"
"And you said...?"
"I said yes!"
"Haan bol diya? Baat karleti mujhse pehle!"
"Bhai but problem kya hai? Acha ladka hai, care karta hai meri, then problem kaha ati hai?"
"Bacha that guy is not good. Voh dikhava hai just, fasaa raha hai tumhe."
"Nahi bhaiya. I am really happy with him. Humesha achese baat karta hai, kabhi complaint ka chance nahi diya. Aisa ladka kahan hi milega?"
"Bacha, itna perfect dikh raha hai, isiliye toh doubt hai na. What if voh hurt karta hai tumhe aage jake?"
"Nahi karega bhai. He really loves me! I won't find a room to complaint. I am sure I will be happy!"
"Please bacha listen to me on this, you will regret this decision! Please kiddo don't do this."
"Bhai please na, I am sure I will be happy! Please bhai!"
"No bacha, I beg you please don't do this! You won't, he will show you his true colours once he traps you!"
"These are his true colours bhai! Mann jao naa please 🥺" she said giving puppy eyes. Which was his weak point but this time it wasn't going to affect him. He won't give in.
"It's not gonna work in these matters Aarya! Answer is no!"
"Bhai, I am sure I won't regret! I would be happy!"
"Bacha, open your eyes and think, I have done my research on him, I have gathered information, he is not a good person."
"Voh jhoot bhi toh bol sakte hai na. They might be jealous of him, or they would have had bad experience, they don't know him properly maybe that's why!"
"Don't be so blinded in love kiddo! Wake up! Come out of it and think! They know him very closely that's why they said na kiddo! Please I join my hands in front of you please don't do this. I can't see you hurt and in pain! Think about it!" He said got up to answer the call.
Present:-
Aarya got tears remembering that incident, Virat saw it and went and sat beside her and gently wiped those tears. She looked at him, all he could see was pain and trauma which ate him from inside.
"You wanna share something?" Virat asked lovingly.
She nodded in no.
"I am sleepy." She said in a weak voice.
"Lie down bacha." He helped her lay down.
He patted her head so that she could sleep peacefully.
She held his another hand to feel a sense of security. He looked at her moist eyes. He stroked her hair lovingly.
She leaned on the touch and fell asleep.
He sat there near her, but it was a call from management and had to go for a meeting.
"I don't wanna leave her alone. Ummmm.. wait lemme call Mahi Bhai." He thought.
"Bhaii!"
"Haan Cheeks?"
"Bhai aap Aarya ke sath ruk sakte ho kya?"
"Yes kiddo!"
Mahi came to his room and saw her holding his hand and sleeping. He smiled at the site.
"Cheeku!" He called
"Bhai, I have to go to that management meeting and I don't wanna leave her alone so aap ruk jao na uske sath."
"Haan kiddo, now go. I am there with her don't worry."
"Need anything call kardo!"
"Yes bacha. Now Gooo!"
He left giving a last glance at her and left. He sat on the other side of the bed doing his work.
"Harshad nahi Harshad ahhhh" Aarya yelled
He came forward and hit her. She winced in pain.
"You are such a monster!" She yelled which resulted in being beaten more.
"Why did you go out without my permission?"
"I don't need your permission!" She retorted
He hit her with a belt.
He had made her life miserable.
He held her by her neck, and slapped her hard. Her lips started to bleed. She wiped it with her thumb.
"You know Aarya you should have listened to your brother when he said not to marry me. Hahahahaa. He was right!" He taunted.
She woke up from the nightmare sweating and couldn't find Virat beside her.
"Bhai? Bhai?" She yelled gasping for breath. Mahi immediately got up and sat beside her.
She was gasping for breath.
"Try and match my breath.. yess like this correct..... Yess slowly yess shshh. Good girl!" Once she calmed down a bit he handed her glass of water.
"He left me. He is still angry at me. I hurt him but he still loves me. He left me. All this is a dream!" She started crying.
"No Aarya no! This is not a dream kiddo. He hasn't left you! He will be back! He can never leave you! Calm down." He said rubbing her back gently.
"Are you sure about it? This is not a dream? He hasn't left me?" She asked while still crying.
"I am very sure that he hasn't left you. It's not your dream kiddo."
"I hurt him so bad, I didn't listen to him when I should have. I am such a bad person. I hurt one person who loves me the most. I should have listened to him. He hates me na now." She broke into a bitter cry.
Mahi took her in a warm hug and stroked her hair.
"Its okay kiddo. You are not a bad person. Your love was pure and selfless and saw the other person also very trusting, and he would be same. Your bhai never hated you and never will. Yes he was hurt but he loves you alot to hate you. Calm down bacha. Stop crying or you will fall sick." He said rubbing her bag.
She continued crying in the hug. Mahi patted her head to calm down. Her cry reduced to sobs and after a while sobs to hiccups. Due to excessive crying she fell asleep on his shoulder.
He could feel the weight on him and saw her asleep. He made her lie down properly and covered her with a blanket as she was shivering a bit.
And started to get up but she had clutched the corner of his shirt in her fist. He sat beside her patting her head in between and rested his head on the backrest.
