"Another drink m'lady," JJ said offering Evelyn a cup and he put his arm around her shoulder.
"I shouldn't," Evelyn said already feeling slightly buzzed, "I have to drive home tonight."
"Sarah!" JJ said making Evelyn lift her head to see Topper and Sarah walking up, "Sarah, can I interest you in a tasty Milwaukee beverage?"
"No, thanks," Sarah said.
"It's not fancy enough for you?" JJ asked.
"No, we were just leaving," Sarah said.
"Hey, you know what? I'll take it," Topper said cutting Sarah off, "Thank you man. I appreciate it."
"That's nice. But I didn't ask you," JJ said, "Now if you said pretty please then maybe."
"JJ," Evelyn said know this wasn't going anywhere good.
"Oh, pretty please," Topper said sarcastically.
"So yeah Sarah. You can have it," JJ said holding the cup out to Sarah.
"She doesn't want it," Topper said flipping the cup out of JJ's hand making beer fly everywhere.
JJ grabbed Topper by the shirt collar pushing him back. John B grabbed JJ pushing him away from Topper, "No, no, no."
"JJ, knock it off," Evelyn said trying to calm the boy.
"You're so funny man," JJ yelled at Topper.
"Dirty Pogues," Topper yelled.
John B moved from beside Evelyn so quickly she didn't have time to grab him. He pushed Topper making him stumble back.
"John B!" Evelyn yelled.
"We're supposed to be incognito, remember," Pope said.
"Babe, babe, babe, babe," Sarah said as Topper punched John B in the face.
"Topper!" Evelyn gasped still trying to hold off JJ.
She grabbed ahold of the boys face making him look into her eyes, "You need to calm down."
"Hey, John B, don't make me drown you like your old man, all right," Topper said.
"Fight, fight, fight," broke out in the crowd of people.
John B got up from the water tackling Topper to the ground.
"John B let it go man," Pope yelled.
"Stop!" Kiara yelled.
"Guys knock it off," Evelyn yelled.
The two boys continued to punch each other as the crowed grew more ecstatic.
"Topper, stop!" Sarah yelled.
"That's what I'm talking about," JJ yelled as John B punched Topper.
Evelyn ran her hand through her hair, "Guys, stop!"
John B grabbed a hold of Topper throwing him into the water, "Come on Topper! Let's go!"
"We have to do something," Evelyn said looking at Kie.
Topper flipped John B to the ground so that his face was in the water. Evelyn's body froze as Topper held John B's face in the water.
"Topper stop!" Sarah yelled.
"He's drowning him," Pope said.
"Somebody has to do something," Evelyn said looking around.
Her eyes locked back on John B and Topper.
"Topper! Topper let him go," Evelyn yelled.
Someone moving quickly next to her grabbing her attention. She looked to see JJ walking toward Topper. Her eyes fell to something in JJ's hand, it was the gun.
"JJ, no!" Evelyn yelled and JJ put the gun to the back of Toppers head making him freeze.
"Chill!" Pope yelled.
"JJ, stop!" Kiara yelled.
"Stop!" Sarah yelled, "JJ!"
The crowd that had formed around the boys fighting now began to dissipate as everyone ran away.
"Put the gun down!" Sarah said.
"Did you say somethin' Princess," JJ yelled over his shoulder.
"We're good. We're good," Topper said putting his hands up.
"JJ put the gun down!" Evelyn yelled.
"We're good man," Topper repeated again.
"Evelyn! Would you check you psycho boyfriend please," Sarah yelled.
"What does it look like I'm trying to do?!" Evelyn yelled back, ignoring that Sarah had called JJ her boyfriend.
"Okay, everyone listen up!" JJ yelled, "Get the hell off our side of the island!"
JJ shot the gun twice making people in the crowd scream.
"Are you crazy!" Evelyn yelled pushing JJ
"You idiot."
"Stupid!"
"What did you do that for?" Pope yelled pushing JJ.
"I'm saving his life, okay?" JJ said.
"Stupid!" Pope yelled back.
"You're going to jeopardize everything!" Evelyn yelled.
The group was cut off by John B passing out in the water again. JJ and Pope ran over to the water dragging him out. Evelyn checked his pulse.
"It's faint. But it's there," she said, "We need to get him back to the chateau."
"We can put him in my car," Kiara said.
Pope and JJ each took an arm throwing them around their shoulders while Kiara and Evelyn each grabbed one of John B's legs. The group struggled but finally got the boy into the backseat of Kiara's car.
"We'll meet you there," Evelyn said grabbing JJ's arm and dragging him toward her car before he could protest.
"I really think I should stay with John B," JJ said looking at the pissed off girl.
He knew his friend would be fine, but he did not want to face the wrath of Evelyn right now.
"Get in the car, JJ," Evelyn said through gritted teeth.
Without another word he climbed into the passenger seat of her car preparing to be yelled at the whole way home, but it never came. The car ride back to the chateau was silent, which honestly scared JJ more. He'd rather Evelyn yell, scream, and even hit him than for her to not talk to him at all.
"Are you going to say anything?" JJ asked as they were almost back to the house.
"What do you want me to say, JJ?" Evelyn asked.
"I don't know. Anything," JJ said, "Tell my I'm stupid. How I fucked up everything."
Evelyn sighed as she parked the car in front of John B's house.
"Look," Evelyn said, "I get why you did it and I know your heart was in the right place but—"
"He was going to kill him, E," JJ said.
"JJ do you really think that Topper would have actually killed him?" Evelyn asked.
"It sure looked like it," JJ defended.
"Regardless that does not give you an excuse to pull a gun on someone," Evelyn said.
"Fine next time I'll just sit back and let him drown him I guess," JJ said.
"You know that's not what I meant," Evelyn said, "And Topper wouldn't actually have kill John B."
"Oh right I forgot your precious little Topper could never," JJ scoffed, "Of course you would take his side right now after he just tired to murder our friend."
"Wha- I'm not taking him side," Evelyn yelled.
"Sure seems like it," JJ said.
"Look all I was trying to say was I understand why you did it but you need to be more careful next time," Evelyn said.
"Whatever," JJ said getting out of her car and slamming the door.
