Author:(I could make her more human looking but I got interested in more taur like designs like in the last story.This is also my first drawing where I used a different color palette,same as they use on the show.)
Scene starts at the grand opening of Gatorfest in Florida.Hundreds of tourists come from all over America to enjoy their and spend their money.Of course,there are some that come to earn money,or in case of one H/C haired induvidual,that come for sport.
Y/N L/N is the local fishing legend that thrives in bogs and marshes.From hunting fish to surviving on his on.Since his first time,he never missed a single Gatorfest in his life.He just pulled in with RV,near the entrace to the Gatorfest grounds.He took out his fishing equipment and backpack before heading out to the riverback.Only for someone to interupt him.
???:Youre a bit late this year,L/N.
He turned around to see the black haired,dark skinned seller of gator juice,named in the Female Heatbat chapter.
Y/N:Ah,morning Gloria.Yeah,the traffic was a murder.The boats still on the same spot.
Gloria:Nobody touched it,dont worry.But you might want to clean it sometime soon.
Y/N:I used it to fish in the swamp.Some dried vegetation and bacteria are nothing new.
Gloria:Oh its much worse than you think.But happy hunting either way.Maybe you spend some time here when youre done.
Y/N:Gee,Id love to but you know Im not much of a people person.Some one on one time I can stand,but being surounded with all those tourists that cant tell their crocodilians apart...Id rather take my chances with the gators.
Gloria:Yeah,I get it.Be careful out there.
Y/N:You should be saying that to the fish.
He waved to her and left for his boat.After some walking and passing through trees,he found his boat.Only to se the dreadfull state it was in.There were phone numbers and lips drawn in in and purple colors as well as message such as Call me.
Y/N:(Sigh)Crazy fans...
He dumped his things in the boat and pushed it of with his leg.Once the boat was free,he jumped on it and grabbed an oar.Sailing away from the noisy tourists,he found a nice open spot in the river where the water was deep enough to support all sorts of wildlife.He opened hi box of bait and gave it some thought.
Y/N:Hmmm.I think Ill go for gar this time.Some shrip with fish blood out the do the trick.
He took out a dry shrimp and sprayed it with a tiny bottle of fish blood before stabing it on the hook and tossed the bait in the water.
Y/N:Now to wait and enjoy some gentle rocking of the waves.With any luck,itll wash off those phone numbers.Like I need some fangirl stuck to my arm while Im fishing.I have done well enough on the contests without them.
Timeskip three hours later
Y/N pulled back his lure to check up on it,only to see it was once again,empty.
Y/N:Agh!This is third time already.Something's eating all my bait before I can catch anything.I should better relocate someplace else.
He set his fishing rod on his boat and took the oars to go to a more profitable hunting grounds.On the way he could see a family of otters chasing each other through the mangrove roots.It brought a smile on his face as well as a chuckle out of him.After a while he got to a another nice deep place.Altough this was an area unknown to him.
Y/N:Hm?Don't think I was here before.Maybe the fish here didn't get used to my fishing tricks yet.
He put another bait on the hook and casted the lure in water.Only difference is,this time he focused intensley at the spot where his lure was.
Y/N:This time Im not going to miss it.Its my last shrimp bait and Im almost out of fish blood.Any more and Im gonna loose it!It dosnt help that Im talking to myself in the middle of the swamp.
Silence had set in.There was nothing happening.He was standing,well staying still and waiting so patientley,that a downy woodpecker rested on his boat for a few minutes before flying away.Suddenly,something caught the string in place.
Y/N:Aha!
He pulled on the fishing rod but that only pulled the boat towards the spot.
Y/N:Woah!This is big one.Im thinkhing front cover on local newspaper.I can see it now.Legend Y/N re-earns his title with a monster gar fish.
His boat was getting closer and closer.Once he got right on top of the spot,he took out the handheld fishing net and tried to grasp the fish with it,while also pulling on the fishing rod.The net got caught on something,or at least thats what Y/N thought before it got dragged under water.
Y/N:What the?
Then the lure got further underwater and started to drag the ship away to somewhere.
Y/N:Oh how I wish I brought a camera.Thisll be enough three course meals for a day.Woohoo!
The boat got pulled even stronger,making it go faster and leaved water behind it as if it was a motor boat.Y/N eventually saw that the water was getting more and more shallow which means hell soon be able to catch the fish if it doesnt turn around.That is,until he saw a shipwreck of a river boat that looked like it was from time of Tom Saywer And Huckleberry Finn.It was half sunked and turned on its side but the worst part was that the fish was swimming straight for it.
Y/N:No,no,no,no,no!
The boat then started to slow down as a red shape appeared under the surface.When the water got shallow enough,Y/N saw what can only be described as a giant crab with insect wings.Paralised in fear,he kept his hold on the fishing rod as the giant crustacean brought his fishing boat inside the river boat.Without water,the small boat fell to its side and with it,so did Y/N.
Y/N:Oof.
The crab creature turned it head sharply and looked at Y/N.His covering on the spot since he had no experience with this sort of thing as the crab began to aproach.Just as it go to him,it turned to his boat and started to devouver his bait.With its back turned,Y/N thoughht it be a great time to make his escape.He slowly stood up and as the shelled beast gorged itself on the bait,quietly sneaked off.Before he could leaved the room his was dragged into,the crustacean started to choke.After few seconds,it turned its head to spit out a plastic bait on the floot.With its head turned,its four eyes locked onto Y/N.The creature grabbed the box of bait and walked over to Y/N who backed into the wall.
Y/N:P-please.Dont eat me.
He turned away in fear and clanched his eyes as he felt the box being pushed into his torso.
???:Got any more?
Y/N:Huh?
After hearing a female voice,he opened his eyes but saw no one but the giant grab.Its four strange eyes blinked at him as if expecting an answer.
Y/N:Did-did you just,talked?
Crab:Mh-hm.So did you.So,got any more of these snacks.
Y/N:Um,no?
Crab:Aw marsh roots.Well,nice to meet you.I dont meet a lot of people.
She dropped the bait box on the ground and offered her claws for a hand,clawshake.
Y/N:I wonder why.
He grasped the tip of her claw and slowly moved it up and down.
Crab:I was just doing what I always do but one day I got wings and two more eyes.Few days later I got this big and after someone saw me,they screamed and it really loud.Thats why I dont show myself.But I could resist the smell and taste of those snacks.
Y/N:T-thats just my bait for cathing fish.
Crab:Why are you shaking so much?Are you cold?Here.
She raised her claws and started to move closer to him.
Y/N:No,no,no,!
Before he knew it,he was stuck in her hug that had as much of a grip as the claws of her everyday counterparts.Her efforst were in vains since she was still wet and cold,as well had the smell of raw fish and decomposing vegetation.
Crab:I saw small mammals do this when smaller ones are shaking.Do you feel better?
Y/N:(Sniff)Ugh,not really.You can let me go now.
Crab:But if I let go,you can run away.And I dont want you to run away because youre my first friend.Since I go this big I got super smarter.
Y/N:Lucky me...
Crab:What human are you?
Y/N:What do you mean?
Crab:I learned that there are a lot of species of humans.I dont think I saw two of same species.I saw a Peter human,a Maryann human,even a rare Honey human.
Y/N:Those are their names not species.
Crab:Names?
Y/N:Yes,it helps us tell who is who.My name is Y/N,and you?
Crab:I dont have one yet.Before I was like this,Id just chase and fight away other crabs that got close to my territory.But then I also ate flowers.
Y/N:Wait,flower?
Crab:Yep,flowers and fruit.They were so sweet,but I needed more food since I got big and started eating fish.
Y/N:That must mean,youre a red mangrove crab.
Crab:Yay!My name is red mangrove crab!
Y/N:No,thats your species.Or at least was...
Crab:Awww.No I dont have a name again.
Y/N:...Would you like me to give you one?
Crab:You can do that?Yes!Yes!Yes!
Out of excitement,her wings began to flutter and she jumped up and down,as well as tightened her grip on him.
Y/N:Arg!Too tight!Too tight!
Crab:Oh,sorry.
She stopped jumping up and down and let him go to fall on the floor.As he rubbed his side from,in his opinion squashed kidney,she layed down in front of him and rest her head on her claws.She stared at him in waiting,barely containing her excitement.
Crab:So whats my name gonna be?
Y/N:Um,lets see...If youre a mangrove crab,how about...Maggie?
He closed one eye and turned his head slightly in fear of what my happen if she doesnt like the name.She tilted her head and her left eyes looked upwards in thought as she scratched her chin with her claw.
Crab:Maggie?...I love it!
She got up on all six,grabbed Y/N by under his arms and lifted him in the air.She was spinning around the room chanting her name in excitement.
Maggie:Im Maggie!Im Maggie!Im Maggie!
Y/N:Can you put me down?Ugh,I feel like gonna vomit.
Maggie:Oh,sorry.
She stopped spining and set him down but his legs felt more like a gelatine.Before he could fall backwards,she caught him by the front of his shirt.But her sharp claw just ended up ripping it in half and letting him fall either way.
Mggie:Hey looked at that.You shedded.
Y/N:I didn't shed,but it g-getting cold.
Maggie:Want me hug you?
Y/N:No!I-I mean,that won't be necesarry.I just need to make fire but I doubt there's any dry firewood here.
Maggie:The other side of the ship isn't close to water.Maybe it's dry.
Y/N:It's worth a try.
Maggie:Yay!Follow me.
She grabbed him by his boots and tossed him behind her,on her abdomen.
Maggie:Hold on tight.
She began running through the halls quickly with her multiple legs.To Y/N it felt like a really bumpy ride.After a while,he saw that at the end of the hallway,the ship was split open.
Y/N:Wait,wait,hold on!
Maggie:Not a chance.
Her wings started frantically moving so Y/N had to duck his head as to not get hit.Her wings where shaking more and more water of themselves and became dry.The end of the hall was getting nearer and Y/N shut his eyes,ready for inpact.But it never came.He opened his eyes and saw that they were traveling through the air.He was amazed at this impossible act.
Y/N:You-you're flying.
Maggie:I know.They're useful when swimming too.
They made their was across the gap and landed on the other side.She carried him all the way to the control room where the woodwork went through the water damage but was still drier than other end of the ship.He climbed down Maggies abdomen and started colecting broken off wooden planks.
Y/N:Could you hand me that thing?
He pointed to a cylindrically shaped stick poking out of the ships stirring wheel and Maggie saluted by hitting her head with her claw.
Maggie:Sure thing friend Y/N.
Y/N:Just Y/N is fine.
Maggie:OK!
She walked over to the wheel and chopped off the peice.After it fell,she tried to grab it but it kept slipping out of her pinchers.So she stapped the stick wit a tip of her claw and handed it to Y/N.
Maggie:Here you go.
Y/N:Thanks.
He pulled the stick of her claw and started to spin it fast on the dry wooden planks.After a while he got smoke and started to see sparks.
Y/N:Yes,yes.
Maggie:Whats that sme-ah,ah,achoo!
She sneazed and out of her fours eyes shoot out green goo that combusted slightly after getting in contact with the sparks.
Y/N:Woah!
He jumped back from surprise even though it was a small explosion.But big enough to start the fire.
Y/N:D-did you knew you could to that?
Maggie:I knew something green comes out when I sneeze.But I didnt know it would make a boom.
Y/N:Do me a favor and please point away when you have to sneeze next time.
Maggie:OK.
He got closer to the fire andrubbed his hands efore applying his warm palms to his shoulgers and other parts of his shirtless body that were freezing.
Maggie:Feeling better now?
Y/N:Yeah,thanks.
Maggie:Youre welcome.What did I do?
Y/N:Well,handing me that stick so I can start the fire,brigning me here where theres dry wood and making the fire.
Maggie:Oh that.Yeah,I totally did all of that on purpose.So what are we gonna play now?
Y/N:This isnt a game.I came here for few days to relax and fish.Ten you dragged me here.
Maggie:Fish?You want fish?Ill be right back.
She flapped her wings at high speed and flew through the roof.
Y/N:Just perfect.More draft.What now?I cant just stay up here.She could just pretend to be this,um,undesireably inteligent to fool in inot false sense of security.Then eat me in my sleep.If she started eating meat,maybe she needs something bigger than jut fish.
He picked up a piece of burning wood and stood up.There was still daylight left but it could prove to be a usefully weapon.He looked out the window and saw that the fall would in best case scenareo break his leg.He had to move through the maze of hallways.The wood work was long passed its prime so every new step brought on a new sequence of unsettling sounds.
He menaged to fin one partially submerged hallways but it was at a too step an angle and the water almost reached the ceiling.It was the only accesible way out so he had to take a deep breath and move forward.But just as he took his first step,his foor fell through the floor and he dropped his torch into the water.
Y/N:Ah!Ugh,this must be my lucky day.
He tried to free his legs but the broken wooden floors around it just kept stabbing into it.
Y/N:(Sigh)Down the hatch.
He used his hands and free leg to brake the floor around him,which made him fall intot he water.He struggled to maneuver in the blurry bog water but eventually resurfaced.Only to see Maggie returning from a succesful hunt.
Magge:Y/N?What are you doing here?
Y/N:I um,wanted to go and help you but I got a little lost.
Maggie:Oh,so sweet of you.
She flew down to him and extended one of her legs since she had her claws full of fish.He took a hold of it and she lifted him out of the water.She flew over to the hole she left in the ceiling and slowly began to land as Y/N let go of her leg.She drop the fish near the fire and spilled some water on the fire,making it sizzle.
Y/N:Carefull,this fire needs to hold out for as long as possible.
Maggie:Dont worry,it takes a lot more water.When people leave behind tiny fires and they grow bigger,I make them wet so the trees dont burn.
Y/N:Really?So you single handedley save this place on daily bases?
Maggie:No,I have two hands.I think.Are thsese hands?
She showed her razor claws into his face as they glistened in the light of the fire.
Y/N:Um,close enough.You can get them out of my face now.
Maggie:So now what?You want to eat the fish?
Y/N:If I did that,Id just get ill.Humans first have to prepare food.
Maggie:Youre gonna clean them?
Y/N:Id guess they clean enough but I meant something else.
He pulled out the ship's wheel and the it on the ground until it broke off into pieces.Then he grabbed the pieces of the ceiling Maggie broke and gathered them around the fire.After he was done with that,he stuck the fishes on the long thin pieces of the wheel and layed them against the ceiling boards.That was the fish were hanging over the fire being slowly cooked.
Y/N:And now we wait.And ocassionally turn them around.
Maggie:Oooh.What did you do?
Y/N:Nothing.I just prepared them for the cooking.That way I can eat them without getting sick and give them a better flavor.
Maggie:But what about the forest fire?
Y/N:You dont have to worry about that,its in the controlled enviroment.I know what Im doing.
Maggie:Are you a swamp human?
Y/N:What?No.But I do spend a lot of time here every so often,so I can handle anything swamp can thow at me.
Maggie:Ah-ah-Achoo!
The smoke from the cooking fish,iritated her hardley visible nostrils.She sneezed out another shot of Lepidopteran goo at Y/N.Thankfully he managed to thow himself at the floor as the goo hit the wall.
Y/N:Phew.Heh,see?
Maggie:Sorry.Smoke makes me sneeze.
Y/N:Dont worry,but again,try to point it away from me next time.
Maggie:Got it.
After a while,the fish were ready to eat.He left them on flat board to cool of for a while.
Y/N:OK,dig in.
Maggie picked the fish by the tailfin and let hang from her claws above her.Examaning it with all four of her eyes,ahe still couldn't believe the transformation fish had while it cooked.She looked over to Y/N who was lighty picking up piece by piece of the fish flesh since it was still too hot for him.She decided to follow and pinched away a bigger piece herself with her claw.After putting it in her seemingly invisible mouth and froze on the spot.Y/N saw the lack of movement from her,out of the corner of her eye and looked up.
Y/N:Maggie?...Everything OK?
Maggie:This.Is...Amazing!I never felt anything like in my entire life!Not even when I grew big!
She starts picking out bigger pieces and faster until she left only bones and the tail fin.She took another one quickly,without thinking and just shoved it all in her mouth.But then her eyes bulged out of her stalks and she started to scream.
Maggie:Ahhh!Too hot!Too hot!Hot!Hot!Hot!Hot!
She began frantically running around the room before running through the wall,leaving another large hole and falling into the water.Y/N peered outside but saw only bubbling water.
Y/N:It's probably a dumb question,but...Are you OK?
There was no answer and this was the perfect chance to escape.Especially if she gets distracted by the rest of the fish.Buuut...On the other hand,it'd be a shame to waste all that fish.And there's no sense escaping on empty stomach.So he sat back down and went back to eating.If she comes back before he gets his fill,he'll just have to wait a little longer.
Timeskip twenty minutes
Y/N just about finished and was full when Maggie entered the room completely wet.
Y/N:Been out a while huh?
Maggie:Yeah,it my mouth hurt for a while but then I went for a swim.
Y/N:Well the fish should be cold enough now.
Maggie:Is it...safe.
She asked whilst cautiously poking the cooked fish with the tip of her claw.
Y/N:Yeah,it's safe.See?
He picked up a piece and held it in his hand.After few seconds of not complaining about it's temperature,he offered it to Maggie.She got her head close to look at it,and then started eating out of Y/N's hand.
Y/N:Hey,what you,hehe.Stop,that tickles,hehe!
She fisnished sucking on his head and when she moved away her head,she left a trail of drool.Disgusted,Y/N tried to shook it of his hand by finally just wiped it of his pants.As the only remaining piece of clothing left on him.
Y/N:Eww...
Maggie:Mmmmm.Deliciuos.Can I have some more?
Y/N:Go nuts.Just please use your own lembs.
Maggie:Yummy!
She layed down in front of the remaining fish and stated eaitng like crazy again with both claws.Only difference is that his time she wasnt stoped due to temperature.Oddly enough,it kind of made her cute.After she was finished,she crawled over to Y/N.In his state of surprise,she turned around and rested her upper body on his lap after which she outstretched her claws.
Maggie:(Yaaawn)I always get so sleepy after I eat alot.Do you mind if I rest a bit?
Y/N:Well,no but-
Maggie:Thanks,good night.
And just like that,she went out like a light.Y/N tried to push her off himself but ultimatley failed.
Y/N:Ugh,great.And crab digestion lasts up to eighteen hours.
He looked out through the holes in the wall and saw that the sun will soon begin to set.
Y/N:Guess its too late to run around in the swamp anyway.(Yawn.)Itd be best to save my strenght for tomorrow.
He rested his head on his arms and slowly drifted off to sleep.
Timeskip morning
Y/N started to wake when the sun rays passed through the hole in the ceiling and hit his eyes.But he did feel some discomfort.After he opened his eyes,he saw that Maggie was laying on top of him in a hug.
Y/N:Maggie?Maggie?Hey,Maggie wake up.
Maggie:Mmmm...
She just moved around and pushed her head in closer to Y/N.
Maggie:Y/N...
Y/N:Yes its me.Now will you let go and stand up please?
Maggie:Y/N...Friend....Y/N...
Y/N:(Sigh)Fine.I guess some more shuteye couldnt hurt.
He went back to sleep or at least tried to as Maggie yawned herself awake.She saw in what position they were in and how peacefull Y/N looked in her arms.She just kept staring at him for a while and if it could be seen,she smiled and rested her head back on Y/Ns body.
Timeskip hour later
Y/N woke again and stretched his arms around only to notice,that he can move again.He opened his eyes and saw he was all alone in that room.So he stood up and looked around.
Y/N:Maggie?
Maggie:Awchoo!
He heard a cute sneaze,followed by the sound of explosion.He got out of the room and into a new hallway.Then he just followed the smoke untile he found the room where Maggie was with a new fire.
Maggie:Morning Y/N.
Y/N:Morning.
Maggie:I was practising.Did I do good?
Y/N:Um,yeah.Great fire.
Maggie:Yay!Now what are we gonna do?
Y/N:Well,I had a lovely time here but I think its best I go back now.
Maggie:What?You cant go.Youre my best friend.
She quickly scurried to him and grabbed him in a tight hug from which there was no escape.
Y/N:Ugh,but I cant live here.
Maggie:Sure you can.We have food,water,ship for burning.
Y/N:But I have a job to get back to.Not a great job but still a job.
Maggie:Why would you need a job for?
Y/N:To get the money so I can pay for electricity,food,water,heating-
Maggie:We have all that here.You can stay.Yaay!
Y/N:You cant expect me to stay here.
Maggie:Youre right.
Y/N:Thank you.
Maggie:We need a better home.
Y/N:We?
She inhaled and spit the Lepidopteran goo on the wall before kicking a burning piece of wood at the same,which made it explode.During the same explosion,she flew out of the boat with Y/N in her arms,bridal style.
Y/N:If you skipped this part,that exit wouldve been more impressive.
Maggie:Haha,you talk funny.
Timeskip
She flew across the entire swamp to the parts that no one had ever crossed before.The place she found looked like a lone island that rose up from the water,covered with grass and what sppeared to be a cave made of chopped up trees.Soon enough,Maggie landed before that wooden cave that looked even bigger up close and let Y/N drop to the ground.
Maggie:Ta-dah!Were here.
Y/N:And exactly where is this here?I dont remember seeing any of this part of the swamp.
Maggie:Of course not silly.Humans never go here.Thats why I made a secret home if they ever found me.Theres plantey of fruit,water is full of fish and the trees are huge.
By now Y/N stood up and looked over the place.Jsut like she said,every word was true.Fruit was weighing the branches and falling into the water.The said one was brimming with fish of various types.Trees provided enough of a shelter like a miniature valley and enough to build and burn.
Y/N:This seems like a real phenomenon of nature.The entire eco system brought together like this it's...it's like an oasis.
He was lost in his state of awe that he didn't notice Maggie approaching him from behind until she tapped him on the shoulder.When he turned,he saw her holding a mostly tattered shirt that had seen better days.
Maggie:It's for you.Whenever humans lose these things,I put them together for a nest.
Y/N:Thanks,I guess.
She offered him the shirt and he took in with caution.After seeing and picking off a centipede,he put it on.
Y/N:Well,there way no way I was gonna start smelling any better sometime soon.
Maggie:I think you smell tasty.
Y/N:Thanks...Oh...
It took him a moment to realize what would smell nice to a creature from the swamp.
Maggie:Let's go inside.
She grabbed him by the arm and pulled him to the primitive wooden structure.It was hollow for the most part.Somewhat clumsily made with some parts not as stable but a good work for a giant animal without fingers.There was an aforementioned pile of clothes that acted as a nest and in the opposite corner,a bunch of random trinkets that people lost over the years.
Maggie:That's my collection of tresure.It's very shiny when it's sunny.
Y/N:I can imagine.
He saw a hole in the roof right above her tresure for sun to get through.Apart from all of that,it was mostly empty space.
Y/N:I have to be honest,I expected it to be like a home of a haorder.
Maggie:Whats a hoarder?
Y/N:People that gather garbage in their home and dont throw anything away.
Maggie:Oh,not me.Im very tidy.Now...
She grabbed a big branch of one of the trees that made her home with both claws and ripped it off,shaking the entire place in process.The she walked over to Y/N and showed it to him.
Maggie:Cna you show me how to get fish?
Y/N:Sure.It shouldnt be difficult since theres planty of fish in the river.
Y/N:(At this point,Im not even sure if its a pun.)
Y/N:But we wont need that.
He pointed at her branch and walked out of her home.He looked around before finding a long and thing enough branch.Then he plucked few of them of the tree and started peeling all of them,apart from two.He then took all the flexible tree bark and intertwined them together in two long ropes to make them stronger.Then he wrapped the one end of the rope to the middle of the branch,its middle to the end of the branch so it hanged and did the same with the other.
Maggie:What are you doing?
Y/N:Youll see.
He took out his pocket knife and cut of a piece of a tree after which he carved it inot a most hook like shape as he could.
Y/N:Now all I need is so e bait.
Maggie:Bait?Like what?
Y/N:Anything small and moving will do.Jey,I just remembered a trick my grandfather showed me.
He took a thin but sturdy branch and carved it into cilindrical shape.Then he sat on the ground and placed the stick on it before making a friction with both his hands.
Y/N:This causes vibrations that only animals underground can hear and it makes them think theyre under atttack.So we just wait and...
After a while,ground started to move a little and earthworms began poping out.
Y/N:Yes.
He scooped them all,along with his makeshift fishing rods and head over to the water with Maggie following him.
Y/N:OK,first take this worm and stick in onto the sharp end of this wooden hook.
He handed her a worm and demonstrated by picking up his fishig rods and preparing the bait.Then he turned to see how Maggie was doing,only to see that the worm in her claw was missing.
Y/N:What happened to the worm?
Maggie just shrugged her crustacean should before kletting out a short,audiable nut cute burp.
Maggie:Hehe,sorry.
Y/N:No,no,no.Dont eat the worm,stick it to the hook to cath a fish with it.Then it the fish.That part should be clear enough.Here,like this.
This time he took her fidhing rod and slowly showed her how to do it,once he made sure she was watching.
Y/N:Now do the same thing Im doing.Grab the fishing rod by the ropeless end and lift it above your head.
She did as he instructed but with the anatomy of her arms and houlders,she couldnt reach very far behind.
Maggie:Ugh,I cant go anymore.
Y/N:Its OK,it should be enough.Then swing it forward with your entire body,watch the footing and hold it.Maybe you should get some sort of an angle with your legs.
She looked at him confused and watched him cast his bait.She then looked over herself with her four eyes before getting an idea.She tried to jumped with only her front limbs but she just lefted them.Then she bend her body forwards and lean backwards.Then repeated it enough times until the front of her body was lifted and when it bent back from the shift of balance,she casted her own lure too.
Maggie.Y/N,Y/N!I did it!I did it!
Y/N:Good for you.But you should be more quiet,the noise can scare the fish.
Maggie:Sorry.
Y/N:Its OK,its your first time.Now stand still and wait for the fish to bite.
Maggie:Then what?
Y/N:Let her get few bites in and when she pulls harder,yank her out of the water and onto the land.We cant reel it in so just pull on it hard.
Maggie:OK DOK!
They waited for a long while with the fish just casually passing by.Sun moved across the sky as the began losing their patience.Y/N even sat down on the ground next to Maggie.
Y/N:Sorry its taking so long.Usually I have a better rule and fish further away from the land so I catch them more frequentley.
Maggie:I dont mind.I like bring with you.
Y/N:You do?
Maggie:Of course.Youre my first friend.I didnt know I needed them when I was small.So when I found you,it was the best day of my life.
Y/N was immedietley washed over with guilt.He planned to escape as soon as he got the chance but he didnt think how it would effect her.It would broke her heart.
Maggie:Hey,its moving.
Y/N:Huh?
He looked in the water and saw that her rope was being pulled down.Then a good part of it sinked underwater.He jumped of the ground and dropped his fishing rod in the process.
Y/N:Pull it,pull it now.
Maggie:But you said-
Y/N:To let it at first but it pulls the rope too much,it will break.And unless you pull soon,its gonna get away with the worm.
She nodded andmoved her lower body sideways,he upper one still facing the water.
Y/N:Maggie...
Then she sharply turned her upper body to match her lower one so she pulled the fishing rod with all her strenght and threw the fish on the land.Y/N tried to make out what species it was while it flew in the air but sun got in his eyes.They both ran to the fish to saw a large,meaty gar fish.
Y/N:Wow,nice catch.And on your first try too.
Maggie:T-thanks.
Maggie:(Hes proud of me.)
Y/N:Seems it got the hook pretty deep.
As the large fish squirmed on the ground,Y/N held its mouth open.He couldnt see the hook but the rope went further in its throat.
Y/N:Can you give a hand,er claw,and keep its mouth open.
Maggie:Sure,here you go.
She got her claw at the beggining of the mouth and opened it up to keep the fishs mouth open.Then Y/N plunged he hand into the razor shapr teeth filled mouth and in the throat.After pulling on a rope for a while until he felt something slimy.
Y/N:What the?
He yanked the tope harder and pulled out exactly what caught the bait and the hook.It turned out to be a bit bigger than normal,bluegill fish.
Y/N:Would you look a that.Buy one get one free of fishing.You must have lucky claws Maggie.
Maggie:Thanks!This is the most fun I ever had.I never knew I was good at fishing.
Y/N:Everyone has talent for something.Now how about we get this fish ready to eat.
Maggie:OK DOK
After Maggie flew across the water to cut up some branches,they made a fire and started cooking the fish.
Maggie:How did you learn to fish?
Y/N:Well,I guess I had a lot of role models to choose from.
Maggie:How so?
Y/N:When I was little,my dad brought me on his fihsing trip during summer and spring break.I was also lucky enought to have an entire fishing program on TV when there was nothing else.I wanted to make him proud and really got into it.I even became a local legend around here.
Maggie:A legend?
Y/N:Yep.People made posters and even souvenirs like stuffed toys or Y/N brand fishing knives.
Maggie:Ooh ooh!Wait here,I have something to show you!
She jumped to her multiple feet and ran at her nest,flying off out of excitement.She was in there for a while until she came running out with something in her claws.When she got to him she showed him a muddy,scratch up stuffed toy version of him with a fishing rod in one hand and missing the other.
Maggie:Is this you?
Y/N:It...actually is.Where did you get that?
Maggie:I saw two female humans arguing who you like better and fighting over it.It flew out of their hands and fell in the water.Then they faught over the arms they ripped out.
Y/N tugged on his collar after being reminded how crazy his fans could sometimes get.Maggie meanwhile hugged the stuffed Y/N to her crustacean chest.
Maggie:I used to sleep with it every night.
Y/N:You did?
Maggie:Yes.I thought if it's that important to them,it must be something good.And just like me,it was all alone in the swamp.
While she still hugged that mini Y/N,life sized one put a han on her arm with in a reasuring manner.He finally decided to thow away his plans for the greater good.
Y/N:You don't have to worry about that anymore.You have me.And I'm not leaving any time soon.
Maggie:Really?
Y/N:Really really.
Maggie:Yaaay!
She dropped the mini Y/N and rushed to hug the real one.She lifted him in the air before fully embracing him in a bonechushing hug and spinning in place.
Y/N:Ribs!Ribs!
Maggie:Huh?Oh,sorry.
She loosened her grip and Y/N could breath out in releaf.She then picked up the stuffed toy Y/N and hugged both of them close to herself with closed eyes.Y/N on the other hand had to deal with toy version of him that was staring at him.To him it was like his past self was judging him for settling down for a something akin to married life.
Y/N:Don't look at me like that.

Timeskip months later
After all the time ago that Y/N decided to stay with Maggie,he really started to connect with nature.The lack of technology,civilization and having anyone see him did most of the trick.Due to heat,he spent his enitre day shirtless and since he didnt have to keep up his appearance for anyone that might see him,he stopped shaving.Maggies claws could only get the longest strands of head but they decided to hold on even for that.
Their days were mostly filled with cathing thier food,gathering any lost item that them found and in turn,keeping the swamp clean.Since Maggies secret nest became their permenant home,the cave design wasnt going to cut it.They made it bigger and much roomier.It wouldve been a five star beaver dam hotel.They even had pieces of wood stuck together for furniture.
Right now,barefooted and slightly bearded Y/N was standing on the fallen down tree bridge with a sharpened branch in his arms.After standing still for who knows how long before throwing the makeshift spear in and diving after it.Soon enough,he dived out with the spear in his hand and a giant fish on top of it.
Maggie:Y/N,sauce is ready!
Y/N:Coming!And the rest of the dinners coming with me!
He carried his catch of the centuary to their house,specifically,the kitchen area.Biggest one in the house.In it,Maggie was preparing the sauce on the stone tablet above fire by boiling the fruit juices with smashed insect larvae.
Maggie:I cant wait to try out this new recepei.
Y/N:I know but we first need to cook this fellah.
Maggie:Another great catch hones.
She leaned in and planted a kiss on his cheek.A gesture he could now recognised.
Y/N:So what are we gonna do later?
Maggie:We could take a walk for new lost things.Or play skunk up again and scare people.
Y/N:Sounds like a plan.
Maggie:But first the post lunch nap.
Y/N:Oh yeah,of course.Do you think our lives kind of got boring?
They were completley quiet for a while,just looking at one another before bursting into a fit of laughter.
Y/N:Oh this is too much.You know thats jokes gonna stop being funny eventually.
Maggie:I dont think so.
Y/N:OK miss I dont think so,help me clean the fish so we can eat lunch and get that nap?

Author:(I'm back.Did you miss me?Becasue I really missed this site.Every day of my break I spent checking if there were any new followers or wotes and comments.I'm proud to say that from now on,stories will be at least or almost twice longer.Also,while writing this I got an idea.Once I ran out of aliens,some not as well known as others,I can start a book about random animals from the original series.And not just animals;objects,plants,vehicles and even food too.I already started drawing characters and I can tell you'll be humored by some of the concepts.I really want to make the most out of the original series so that might do the trick.)
