Y/N's POV:
Ruby: Mom, Dad, can I go to Dust Till Dawn to get some more dust?
Tai: Ruby, it's gonna be close till curfew.
Ruby: Pretty please?
She looked up at him with sad eyes and he couldn't resist.
Summer: Tai, if Ruby wants to go she can. She's not a little girl anymore.
Tai: (sighs) Alright, but you need to go with Y/N.
Y/N: Wait what?
Tai: You need to make sure Ruby doesn't do anything crazy.
I sighed and just nodded. Ruby simply smiled.
Ruby's mind: Yes! I get to be alone with!
Y/N: Let me grab my jacket.
I got off the couch and walked upstairs and into my room. It was pretty standard for a dude like me. Posters of artists I like or some video game characters. T
There was a shelf I had for my video game collection over the years. Hanging above my bed was the sword that was gifted to me by my family when I was elven. Rebellion.
I kept it hanging up horizontally and usually kept my coat on top of it. When I looked up at it, my coat wasn't there and I sighed.
Y/N: Dang it Yang.
I walked across the hall and knocked on Yang's door.
Yang: Come in!
I entered and saw that she was in her pajamas. That being an orange tank top and short shorts. She saw me and smiled.
Yang: (smirk) What's up little bro?
Y/N: I need my jacket back.
Yang: What makes you think I have it?
Y/N: Because you always want to wear it.
Yang: Hey, it's not my fault its flashy and comfy!
I just sighed before she sat up and got out of bed. She walked to her closet and got it out. I reached out for it but she pulled it away.
Yang: Do the thing.
Y/N: You serious?
Yang: (smirk) You ain't gonna get the jacket back unless you do the thing.
I just rolled my eyes before grabbing Rebellion and put on a black plain shirt. She handed me my jacket as I tossed up Rebellion and spun my coat around. I slipped my arms through the sleeves and clipped it before catching my sword.
Yang: (smirk) Badass as always little bro.
Y/N: Thanks Yang. I gotta go take Ruby to some dust shop so I'll see ya later.
Yang: (smirk) How about a kiss before you go?
She winked at me playfully as I deadpanned and left the room. She only laughed before resting on her bed.
Yang's mind: Almost had him that time. If only he did that jacket trick shirtless.
I walked downstairs and Ruby pumped her fist before grabbing her headphones and Crescent Rose. I kept Rebellion strapped on my back and followed her outside the house.
Ruby: So are you gonna be sad with Yang going away to Beacon?
Y/N: Nah. If anything it means less apologies to make in her name.
Ruby: Yeah. Her time at Signal was pretty wild. All those boys she beat up and those girls she scared off.
Y/N: Excuse me? I didn't know about that.
Ruby: Uh, It's not really important.
Y/N: I feel like it is. What did she do to scare off some girls and what did they do to make her mad?
Ruby: Well...
I looked at her curiously as she pretended to whistle.
Y/N: Whatever. It really isn't my business anymore.
We eventually made it to the main city and walked down the street to the dust shop. We entered where a kind old man greeted us.
We greeted back as Ruby put on some headphones and walked over to the magazine shelf. I face palmed as she read from Weapons Monthly while humming to a song that was playing in her head phones.
Y/N: Hey excuse me, sir.
Old man: How may I help you, young man?
Y/N: Do you have a restroom I can use?
He nodded and pointed to the back so I walked there.
Third Person POV:
Ruby kept flipping through the pages of the magazine before she felt a tap on her shoulder. She turned her head and removed her headphones.
Ruby: Yes?
Goon: I said put your hands in the air, now!
Ruby: Are you robbing me?
Goon: Yes!
Ruby: Ohhhh.
However the goon felt a hand on his shoulder as he turns to see Y/N.
Y/N: Hey buddy. That isn't anyway to treat a lady, especially an adorable one at that.
Ruby: (blushes a little)
Y/N punched him so hard he went flying to the wall. Another goon point his gun at him.
Goon 2: Freeze!
Y/N smirked as he draws Rebellion and sliced off the barrel of his gun before he drop kicked him through the window.
Ruby went flying out of the store's window which caught the attention of the goon and their boss. The boss just so happened to be the notorious criminal, Roman Torchwick.
Ruby looks at Roman and his henchmen then spins her scythe around, does one spin herself then implants the tip of her scythe in the ground.
Roman: Okay... Get her!
They rushed at her but were stopped when a sword was thrown from the right and blocked their path. They turned their heads and saw Y/N walking casually towards his sister.
Y/N: You guys might want to hold off on using that thing.
Ruby rolled her eyes before kicking another goon outside and jumping out herself.
Roman: What the hell?
Another goon charged at Y/N with a sword of his own and swung. He dashed backwards and run up the wall and flipped over them.
Roman: Seriously, what the hell?!
Y/N whistled and his sword dislodged itself from the floor and spun back into his hand. Y/N landed and smirked.
Y/N: Showtime!
Roman ran to the back and Y/N was going to chase after him but a bullet was shot in his direction to halt him. He focused on one of the goons and thrusted forward with his sword. It hit him right in the gut and shattered his aura.
He spun around and took out two more before running outside to meet up with Ruby. Ruby spun around on her scythe and finished off the last of the goons.
Roman made it to the front of the store and rubbed his temples.
Roman: You were worth every cent. Truly, you were. Well Little Red and Big Red, I think we can all say it's been an eventful evening and as much as I'd love to stick around... I'm afraid this is where we part ways.
Ruby: Hey! I'm not that little!
Y/N: I beg to differ.
Ruby: Hey! You're on my side remember?
While the two had a small sibling argument, Roman points his cane and fires a shot at them. Y/N quickly took notice and pulled Ruby close to his side and turned so he was facing away from the blast. Ruby looked up at him with a red face before he scowled and began chasing after Roman.
Ruby shook her head and followed her older brother. He jumped on the side of the wall before jumping off and getting on the roof. Ruby climbed up a ladder.
Ruby: Hey!
Roman: Persistent...
A bullhead appears from below, it opens it's side door so white could get in he gets in.
Y/N: You're not going anywhere!
He reached behind him to grab his firearms, but he notice that his guns aren't with him.
Y/n: Oh no.
Ruby: What?
Y/N: I think I left them at home.
Ruby: Left what?
Y/N: Ebony and Ivory.
Ruby: WHAT?!?! Why?!
Y/N: I don't know! Yang stole my coat! So why don't you ask her?!
Roman: (turns at them) End of the line reds!
Roman threw a dust crystal at Ruby's feet.
Y/N: RUBY!!!
Y/N pushed Ruby away as Roman fire his cane at the dust whited caused an explosion.
Roman: (laughs before he looks surprised) Huh?
Y/N was suddenly surrounded by a purple bubble as he saw a middle aged blonde woman in front of him wielding a riding crop. She then pushes her glasses back up the bridge of her nose.
Then the woman with the riding crop sent several purple orbs at the bullhead.
Roman: (stumbling into the cockpit) We got a huntress!
A strange woman in a red dress got off the controls and stepped close to the door to fend off the blonde woman.
Then the woman with the riding crop summons a hailstorm above the bullhead several ice chunks imbedding the bullhead, one almost taking out Roman.
The red dress woman got to the side of the bullhead and shot a fireball at the riding crop lady, she deflected it but the embers were still alive and the woman in the red dress caused another explosion.
The riding crop lady back flipped away just in time she reformed the debris into a giant spear then sent it toward the bullhead, but the lady in the red dress had different plans and shot a bunch of fireballs at the spear breaking it up.
Then the riding crop lady made three separate spears to attack the red dress woman destroyed all of them. Ruby turns her scythe into a gun and started firing on the bullhead, but the armor was too thick and the shots that did make it were burned by the red dress woman.
She then sent one more explosion their way the riding crop woman saw it then pushed Y/N and Ruby out of its radius. The mysterious woman looked down at Y/N and felt a strange shiver go down her spine.
???: Get us the hell out of here! NOW!!!
Roman jumped at the sudden volume of her voice and as the bullhead flew off.
Ruby: Y/n, that lady was so cool!
Y/N: (sarcastic) Why don't you ask for an autograph?
Ruby: Good idea!
She ran to her side and quickly asked for an autograph.
Y/N's POV:
Ruby: You're a huntress! Can I have your autograph?!
The huntress then shot a glare at me and Ruby.
Y/N: I take that as a no.
(Timeskip)
We found ourselves in an investigation room of all places.
Ruby: Dang it bro! This is because you told me to ask for an autograph!
Y/N: I was being sarcastic.
Ruby: Well you should've told me you weren't being serious!
Y/N: Then that would've taken away from the joke.
Woman: Ahem!
We sat up straight as the woman paced around the room.
Woman: I hope you two realize that your actions tonight will not be taken lightly. You put yourselves and others in great danger.
Ruby: They started it!
Y/N: And we finished it.
Woman: You two children faced a dangerous criminal all by yourselves and didn't even bother to call the local authorities. If it were up to me you two would be sent home with a pat on the back...
Ruby smiled happily until...
Woman: And a slap on the wrist!
The lady slapped her riding crop on the table.
Ruby: EEP!!!
Y/N: Easy there miss. Look, we got caught up in the heat of the moment. If we didn't act fast he would've gotten away! And besides, we can't exactly call a timeout in the middle of a fight.
Woman: You've got a smart mouth don't you?
Y/N: I'm just stating facts.
Woman: Oh you-
???: That'll be enough, Glynda.
Someone else had entered the room and it was a man with small rounded glasses and gray hair. I knew this man as Prof. Ozpin, the Headmaster at Beacon.
Ozpin was holding a plate of cookies in one hand and a mug of I don't know coffee maybe.
Ozpin: Ruby and Y/N Rose. (looks at Ruby) You... have silver eyes.
Ruby: U-um...
He sat the tray of cookies sat down on the middle of the table. Him and the woman sat down across from us. Ruby stared at the cookies before taking one and scarfing down the rest.
Y/N: Jeez, cookie, you gotta slow down on those.
She blushed at the nickname I gave her and she slowed down a bit then starts wolfing them down again.
Ruby: Oh, hey Y/N, would you like one?
Y/N: Oh, no thanks Ruby. I'm stuffed.
Ruby stopped and held out the last cookie she had. I smiled and took it from her.
Ozpin: So, would you two mind telling me how you learned to do all this?
The huntress shows the video of us fighting the henchmen and kicking ass.
Ruby: Gabckxmeisnwkkm.
Y/N: Ruby, don't talk with your mouth full.
Ruby: (shallowed) Sorry.
Y/N: What she meant to say was back at Signal we learned a thing or two.
Ozpin: They taught this small girl to use one of the most dangerous weapons ever designed?
Y/N: Well, she was mainly inspired by a certain teacher of ours.
Ozpin: I see... It's just that I've only seen one other scythe-wielder of that skill before, a dusty, old crow.
Y/N: Dusty? Sure. Rusty? Hell no.
He just chuckled as I ate the cookie. It was surprisingly good, it tasted like strawberry and chocolate.
Ruby: That's our Uncle Qrow! He's a teacher at signal I was complete garbage before he took me under his wing, and now I'm all like— hooowaaah witchaaaa!
She was doing karate poses. I could only help but laugh, she looked away in embarrassment and the man spoked again.
Ozpin: So I noticed. (looks at me) Y/N, I've met a lot of fast and skilled warriors but I've never seen one with reflexes like yours.
Y/N: Meh, my mom always said that I special so I guess that's what she meant.
Ozpin: Interesting. (puts his mug down) And what are two young children such as yourselves doing at a school designed to train warriors?
Ruby: Well, we want to be a Huntsman and a Huntress.
Ozpin: You want to slay monsters?
Y/N: You bet! I got one more year while Ruby's got two more years to attend Signal and then we're gonna apply at Beacon!
Ruby: You see, our sister's starting there this year and she's trying to become a huntress. I'm trying to become a huntress 'cause I wanna help people. And our parents always taught us to help others so I thought hey, might as well make a career out of it.
Ruby then went on a rant about how it was more exciting than most other jobs and more romantic in a way. Somehow.
Ozpin: And you, young man?
Y/N: Well, my family greatly inspired me and I need to become a pro to keep this world safe from certain threats many won't be able to handle.
Ozpin: I see. Do you two know who I am?
Ruby: You're Professor Ozpin. You're the headmaster of Beacon Academy.
Ozpin: (smiles) Hello.
Y/N: Hi.
Ruby: Nice to meet you.
Ozpin: You want to come to my school?
Ruby: More than anything! Right, Y/N?
Y/N: Yep.
Ozpin looked at the huntress a "hmmph" was her response.
Ozpin: Well, okay. I'll see you there.
Ruby and I went wide eyed as our jaws dropped.
Y/N: For real?!
Ozpin: Yes. Now, why don't you two head on home. You'll need some rest for the next day. But first, may I speak with you Y/N?
I snapped out of my daze and nodded.
Y/N: Ruby, just wait for me outside the room.
Ruby: Okay!
She skipped happily outside as Ozpin and his assistant Glynda looked at me.
Ozpin: You want to protect this world from the demons that lurk in the shadows. Is that correct?
Y/N: Damn straight.
Ozpin: I figured as much. Y/N, you are a special boy. If you don't mind me asking, I have a favor.
Y/N: What is it?
Ozpin: If there were any demons that threatened our school or students, would you dispose of them?
Y/N: Of course. I'll kill every last demon there is.
Ozpin: Good. We had reports of students seeing strange creatures unlike Grimm within the Emerald Forest.
Y/N: Just leave it to me.
Ozpin: Perfect. Also, I believe you were trained by someone besides your parents. Is correct right? (taking a sip of his mug)
Y/N: Frank Jaegar.
Ozpin: I see. That would explain the way you fight.
Y/N: Yes. And Grey Fox wanted me to give you this letter.
I handed Ozpin the greenish letter Grey Fox gave me. Ozpin opens the letter and reads it.
Ozpin: (looks at me) Congratulations, Mr. Rose. You are accepted into Beacon Academy. Talent like yours it would be a waste if you did not accept.
Y/N: Sure, if it means I can also protect the innocent and have a kick ass time doing it too.
Ozpin: Then Mr. Rose, welcome to Beacon. The airship leaves tomorrow afternoon, try not to be late. That'll be all.
I nodded and got up and left the room.
Ruby: We better hurry on home before Dad gets mad at us.
Y/N: Last one there is a rotten egg!
I quickly ran out the building with Ruby chasing after me.
(time-skip)
We opened the door to see our mom, dad and Yang waiting there for us.
Tai: Where were you two?! It's an hour past curfew!
Y/N: Well, we got caught up in some trouble.
Tai: Explain.
Y/N: These guys wearing black robbed the store we were at, but Ruby and I put down the goons. The main boss got away though. He wasn't wearing black. He had ginger hair and some tacky bowling hat on with a feather tucked in it.
Tai: That sounds like Roman Torchwick!
Mom gasp as she began inspecting me for any wounds.
Summer: Were you hurt?! Where does it hurt?! I'll heal you.
Y/N: Easy mom, none of us were.
Summer: (sighs in relief) I'm Sorry. But I'm glad you two are safe.
Ruby: Also guess what?
Tai: Chicken butt?
He and Yang laughed and fist bumped each other while I groaned in pain. Ruby rolled her eyes and kept talking.
Ruby: No, Y/N and I are going to Beacon!
Summer: Of course you are. Just a few more years and you'll be there.
Ruby: No! Like actually going! With Yang! We met Prof. Ozpin and he said we're going!
Tai/Summer/Yang: What?!
Yang smiled happily and hugged Ruby and spun her around. She then let go of her and smirked at me.
Y/N: I don't like that look.
Yang: Come give your big sis a hug~!
She spread out her arms before chasing after me around the house. I kept running but then tripped on something and fell. Yang jumped in the air and I saw her descending on me.
Yang: Y/N~!
Y/N: No! I don't wanna suffocate again!
It was too late as she had already landed on me with her breasts on my face. She immediately wrapped her arms and legs around me to keep me close to her.
