Olivia's pov
(Long) Flashback - 13 November 2020
It's been a week since Matt and I broke up, I'm still living in Max's apartment which is nice. I haven't really left the apartment for days now, and I'm taking a few days off work because I can't focus right now. I have decided to go home to the Netherlands for a few days, because I don't wanna be here right now, and Max are in Turkey for the Turkish grand prix anyway.
I flew home to stay with dad for a few days, he was happy that I came to visit out of nowhere, he still didn't know about the breakup, and I was kinda afraid to tell him, because I knew how mad he would get, I knew he would love to beat the crap out of him.
It was a short flight from Monaco to the Netherlands, when I arrived at the airport dad waited for me, and then we drove to his house. The drive there wasn't that long, which was great. "Is something bothering you Olivia?" Dad asked as I was sitting in the passenger seat staring out of the window, looking at my beautiful birthcounty. I turned my head to look at him. "I'm alright" .. "Are you sure, you seem to be a bif off?" he said while turning down on the road where his house is. "I'm sure," I said with a fake smile.
Still in the flashback: Jos's pov:
I turned off the engine as I had parked the car in my garage, Olivia went to grab her suitcase and then we walked inside my house. She walked to her childhood bedroom where she unpacked her suitcase. While she unpacked I ordered some lunch for us to eat, she must be starving, well I am anyways.
Lunch had arrived and I walked to my daughters bedroom, I gently knocked on the door and opened it as she let me inside. "Olivia, lunch is ready" I said and smiled, as I saw her being inside this room again, it made me happy, I miss having my kids home.
We sat down at the dining table where we ate some pasta for lunch. We always order pasta. It's very tasty. I swear her behavior was weird, she wasn't herself, something is wrong, I know my daughter very well. She have been here for hours now, and haven't made a stupid joke yet, which is unusual for her, she is always the first to make a joke and make everyone laugh, but not this time. I observed her over lunch where we talked a bit about different things.
As we finished lunch we sat in front of the fireplace which was nice because of the bad weather. "Olivia, please tell me if somethings wrong, I can feel it," I said and looked into her eyes, which didn't light up the room as usual. "Everythings wrong, I have been so stupid, I trusted the wrong human and now I'm all alone and broken!" she said and covered her eyes with her hands. It broke my heart seeing my daughter like this, whatever was wrong was serious..
"What happened?" I pulled her into my arms. "It's Matt he- he cheated on me, then we broke up.." she said while her voice cracked a little, a tear rolled down her cheek. "he did what!!" I said, the blood inside me was almost boiling over, I was furious. "He will pay for that, Olivia I promise you! You deserve better than him, he's a fucking asshole!" I hugged her tighter, I couldn't believe what she told me. That man has always been her rock, her biggest supporter, her great love, everyone alive could see that. He and I have gotten along very well, and I know him like he was my second son, he was family! What a fucking idiot, I hate him.
Olivia didn't tell me much about what happened, I don't have to know anyway, but he will have to pay for this, no one shall ever break my daughters heart.
Over the next many hours, Olivia was in her room alone which was what she wanted, I accepted it and stayed away, until she wanted to talk. I talked to Max, he was angry as well. I also talked to Sophie about it. I don't really talk with her a lot, but I felt she had to know. She decided to fly to us and be with Olivia, she might need her mother right now even though their relationship isn't the best.
Still in the flashback: Max's pov:
Dad called me as I just got back to my driver's room after the first free practice, which went well, I finished practice with the fastest time. We talked for a while, he sounded angry as he told me that Oli had told him about the breakup. He also told me that she was staying in her room alone, and didn't really feel like coming out, which broke my heart. I want her to forget that idiot, even though it's only been a week.
I met Daniel at the paddock, we talked and joked around which we always do, he's the best, and I really miss him at red bull. As we stood there talking, signing a few autographs and having fun. I saw a text appearing on my phone, I looked at it and was surprised. "Why that face?" Daniel asked and looked at me as I stood there surprised. "Not here".. We walked to a place where no one was around. "I like this secret thing, now tell me what it is," he said and laughed. "It's not funny Danny.." I looked at him, he seemed surprised by what I said. "So Oli and Matt broke up, because he has been cheating on her for six months. She has moved out and has blocked him everywhere, but he just texted me?" I said and looked at Daniel, who looked sad and confused at the same time.
"Oh no, why didn't she call me? I would be there for her! But why the fuck did he text you!!" Daniel asked and his tone changed as he got mad. Olivia and Daniel are best friends, so it was actually a surprise he didn't already know. "I don't know, but I can't look now. Not before practice, otherwise I will get too unfocused" .. "Read it after then. Wait, do you think Livia would be alright if I texted her?" he asked. "I'm sure she would love to hear from her best friend, Danny" I said and hugged him. After we walked out to do a few interviews and then it was time for the second and last practice of the day.
Practice went awesome, I got the fastest lap again with Leclerc right behind me, but of course I beat him.. I did the last interviews of the day, talked a bit with Helmut and Christian before I left the track, and went back to my hotel. Daniel and I decided that he would come later so we could talk and eat dinner together. And then I would tell him about what Matt wrote to me.
I had arrived at my hotel room and I sat down at the couch, I took my phone and read the text from Matt..
"Hey Max. You are my last hope of getting Olivia back in my life.. I tried to write and call her but she didn't answer, if I know her she would have probably blocked me? Could you help me and let me talk to her? I need to explain things. It's not fair that she left me. I miss her and I still love her, I really appreciate your help, I know she wants me back too. Please help, Max. - From matt"
I couldn't believe what he just wrote, he didn't even say he was sorry, he just wanted her back to use her again, and repeat history. Well hell no, not on my watch!.. I heard a knock on my door, and went to open it, it was Daniel... "So? Did you read the text?" he asked and closed the door after him, I let out a little laugh. "Well yeah, here read it! It's the most ridiculous thing I've ever heard!" I handed him the phone. He read it and let out a laugh too. "What does this guy think he is, god?" Daniel said and passed me my phone back. "She doesn't deserve him, he's a fucking idiot!" I said. "That he really is".. I started to write back to him.
"Well hello Matt. You broke my sister's heart, I have never seen her broken like this! So what makes you think I will help you get her back, she doesn't give a fuck about you anymore. So I will suggest you stay the hell away from her, and if you don't you will have to deal with me, and every single person on this earth who cares for her!.. You are the one who's responsible for the outcome of this situation, you are the one who was cheating on her for half a year, how sick of you. You're Not even man enough to tell her, she has to find out for herself.. Stay the hell away, thanks. And don't bother writing back to me because this is the last thing you will ever hear from me or anyone in my family!.. - Max"
I sent the text and let Daniel read it through. "It's good Max, he deserves to learn it the hard way!" he said and I nodded. "Have you texted Oli, yet?" I asked and sled the phone back into the pocket of my jeans. "Yeah, but she hasn't texted me back yet. Max I'm worried.." he said. "I am too Danny, we gotta help her move on and find happiness again" I smiled a little. "We really do, let's get our happy Olivia back" Daniel said..
Back to present time - Olivia's pov:
April 2021
The days went by fast, and before I could look it was april, and time for me to move out of my apartment in Madrid, which was sad. I was still not back to being the old me, the happy and always positive me but I could feel Madrid let me on the right track again.. I have decided to move back home to Monaco, which was something that took a while for me to decide. I know the chance of meeting Matt again will be big as it's his birth country and he lives there, but I can't live in the past any longer, I gotta move forward even though it's gonna be tough as hell.. - My things were packed and on the way back home, I found myself an apartment in Monaco with a beautiful view not far away from Max.
I arrived in Monaco where Max was waiting for me, of course he was. "Welcome home, Oli!" He said as he was standing next to his car waving. "Thanks, you didn't have to pick me up!" I laughed and waved back. "Don't be stupid, of course I had to" he said and pulled me into a hug, I smiled. We got into his car and drove to my new apartment. It was with mixed feelings being back in Monaco, I have missed this place so much, as it has been my home for almost seven years now, but with all the good memories with the worst human on earth made it weird being back.. But I was excited to see my new apartment in real life.
My apartment was stunning, it had big windows with a view over beautiful Monaco. It was modern and brand new inside, the apartment contained three bedrooms, a bathroom and a big kitchen and living room in one. I could be fine with a smaller one but at the same time I wanted this one. So I could have my bedroom, a room full of clothes and a guest room, so it was perfectly made for me.
The days went by fast as I was settling in, the apartment was absolutely amazing. Daniel was visiting a few of the drivers yesterday, so of course he made his way to my place as well. It was wonderful to see him, and be with him alone to catch up on life. He and I cooked dinner together, watched a movie and talked for hours, then we laughed which he always made me do.
It was now Wednesday and I decided to go to the gym. I haven't been there for a while, so I really wanted to get back there. I took my gym clothes, which was a matching set. It was very comfortable. I also did my hair which was just a high ponytail. I then took a quick mirror selfie because I liked my outfit, uploaded it to instagram and then drove my new car towards the gym, which was located a short drive from my apartment. It was a fancy gym where not everyone can enter. Max and some of the other drivers are training here as well, also some other famous people, and people with good money.
As I was running on the treadmill with music blasting out in my airpods, I saw out of the corner of my eye someone walking towards my direction. "Hi Olivia!" the person said, I turned off my music and looked at the person. "Oh wow, hey Charles" I said and smiled, while stopping the treadmill. "Are you back for good?".. "I am, I just moved back a few days ago! But how are you?" I asked and smiled at him. I haven't seen or talked with him since forever, so it was great seeing him again.
"I'm alright, just been busy with the season starting again and all that" he smiled, I nodded. "I'm coming to Imola this week, if you'd be up to it I could come by and visit you and Carlos in your garages?" I asked, I haven't been in a Ferrari garage for so long, because Max wants to be with him in his garage, plus I know the red bull team as they were my family, so he feels like I'm being protected when he's not there.
Charles looked surprised by my question, but he smiled so that's a good sign I guess. "Of course, you are more than welcome. And I know Carlos would like it too" he said. "Great, that's a deal. Max probably would be mad at me" I laughed, he did too. "Don't let him control what you do or don't do please, just because he's your brother doesn't mean he can hold on to you forever" he said.. "No of course not, but he's my brother and the most important person in my life, I would never disappoint him" . "I get it, I also have brothers so I know the feeling. But remember no one, other than you shall take decisions in your life" . "I promise, I will take all the decisions myself" I smiled at him. "Good" he shortly said while smiling, we stood there for a few seconds smiling. "Well, I gotta go now. Can't wait to see ya in Imola" he said and pulled me into a goodbye hug. "Can't wait either, Charles" I said. Afterwards he left and I started to run again.
After I had worked out for a while, I got my stuff and drove home. I then jumped in the shower and went to grab some lunch, which I took home to watch some netflix. I also did some instagram work, because I had to promote a product so that had to be done today. Then I prepared my things for a shoot I have tomorrow, which I'm excited for..

That was chapter ten already. I have so many new ideas for the story, so I hope that I can write a lot the next few days, and get as much published for you guys.
