Vegas' POV
"Vegas...I can't...I can't breathe..." Pete says breathlessly, trying to push my chest to no avail.
My rhythm is strong and intense.

Arm's POV
"Damn...my phone is dead. We've been looking for them for hours, and nothing."
"Are you sure Macau said they would come to this bar? There are so many bars here. We've been to almost all of them!"
"I shouldn't have let them come alone. What if they got drunk and got lost? What if someone took them?"
"Calm down, Arm! They are not children. I can call Macau...let him know that your phone is dead. I can ask him where they are."

As we approach a narrow street, we see two shadows in the alley.

Pol and I looked at each other to get away from there so as not to disturb the privacy of those boys.
We turned to go.

It's Porchay's voice
I freeze immediately.
I glance sideways at Pol, who has the same reaction as me.
I start walking again, towards the car.
As we get into the car, in the distance we see Macau and Porchay coming out of the alley and getting into a car with bodyguards. In the urge to see Macau I completely forgot that Vegas has set up several bodyguards to follow him wherever he goes.
"Uh...I think..." Pol would try to say something to explain things, but even he can't.
"Pol, drive to the Minor family mansion, please. I have to deliver something to Khun Vegas. I'll ask some bodyguard to take me back later."
"Sure, Arm."

Vegas' POV
A tender peck...another one...he's still serene. I was rough on him once again.
Pete's eyes have been closed for almost 30 minutes. It was long enough for me to clean myself up and put on clean clothes and pack a small suitcase.
I try to call Arm, but he doesn't answer. I need to hurry to find Arm at the main family mansion. He needs to have found that damn ghost.
I don't want to wake Pete up.
I contemplate his face.
How did such a beautiful man become a bodyguard?!
Why bruise such a delicate face with punches?
Why hurt such a slender body with kicks?
Why take a risk of piercing him with bullets...marking him with knives?
These kinds of things will never happen again. I promised myself.
He was told that the assassination order was given by the Theerapanyakul family.
He was told it was Minor family doing.
If Khun Korn was able to shoot his own brother in cold blood, what will stop him from having Pete killed, who is nothing to him?! I'm so sure he's behind this. "If you kill the knight... the bishop will be vulnerable... and the queen unsupported."
Pete, me and Porsche. He must be suspicious of Porsche too.
On the other hand, there is a man who claims to know Pete...which awakens in him a sense of remembrance. A ghost that wants to take him away for whatever reason.
I can't wait for one side or the other to succeed.
I will not lose Pete.

"Vegas..." His soft voice wakes me from my dark thoughts.
Pete's eyes blink a few times before opening...
"Do you feel any pain?" I caress his lips and cheek.
"You're not yelling in anger anymore...I like hearing your voice like this...tender..."
Pete cups his face in my hand to feel its warmth.
"I'm sorry...(in English)" I kiss him slowly...then pull my face away to look at him again. "I can't go on... or I won't be able to hold back...I crave for you so much..."
"Why...? Why are you dressed again? You will leave? Are you going back to work? What time is it?" His eyes are disappointed.
"Almost midnight."
"What's that suitcase by the door? You'll travel?"
Pete lifts his back, startled.
"Pete...just forgive me one more time, because I'll do whatever must be done to keep you safe with me."
I hold his wrist tightly.
"CLICK"
"Vegas!...what is this?! Why? WHY?"
"If there's no safe place for me to hide you. Then you will stay where our men are to protect you."
"Take off this chain right now!"
I get up from the bed, but Pete grabs my arm.
"You're going to Taiwan alone, aren't you? AREN'T YOU?"
"Tell me who the white king is, Pete."
"NO! We should do this together! We should go together! Please let me go! We'll go together, Vegas."
"No...no... Pete?! Don't cry! Don't cry, please!" (in English)
"You will kill yourself!! Why are you so stubborn?!"
I don't know why, but I can't hold back my tears either. Why can't we have peace?
"I'm willing to do anything for you, Pete. No one will take you from me."
"TAKE IT OFF!"
I hold his face and when we kiss our tears blend on our lips.
The salty taste of tears clashes with the sweet taste of our love.
This is the state of affairs in which we find ourselves.
