- Third persons pov -
"H - Hey Blue?" Green shifted a bit in the hug, "Ye?" Blue replied. "C - Could you let me go?" He asked shyly, feeling his heart pounding. The thought of going to Red scared him but. . .how else would he get his answer for this. . .feeling? He knew he can't do anything except to have guts and ask the scientist, as much he didn't want to but it was probably the only choice he had right now. "Okie." Blue then let's go of the blind creature and Green immediately stood up, and started 'looking' for the scientist. "Where are you going Green?" The blue creature asked from behind.
Green paused. "J - Just. . .gonna find Red." He replied honestly before continuing off with his search, after a few moments of listening and feeling wherever he was, he soon heard Red's grumbling. The blind creature hesitated, standing outside of Red's office, what was he doing? He couldn't do this! He stepped back, forgetting he had squeaky paws. "Green? What are you doing here?" Red spoke, causing the taller male to freeze up. "U - Um. . ." Green started sweating. How exactly was he gonna ask this? "Well?" He could hear the impatient tone in Red's voice.
"U - Um. . .w - well. . ." Green shifted uncomfortably, before taking a deep breath. "W - Why doesn't the three words 'I love you' so - sound the same anymore?" He asked nervously. "E - Everytime I say it. . .I - I can feel my heart pound and-" "You're in love." Red cut him off, though he could've swore that the scientist sounded surprised by this. "I - I'm what?" The blind creature perked his head, unsure if this was a trick or something. "It means you love him more than just a best friend." Red began, "You'll get weird feelings like uh. . .heart pounding and your face will feel hot." He sounded awkward in mid sentence.
Which made Green wonder, did Red even know that feeling? He shook himself, he shouldn't be breaking into Red's privacy, no matter how much he hated the scientist. ". . .S - So You're telling me that. . .I am falling in love with Blue?" He asked shyly, blushing a bit at the thought of him and Blue being together. He knew what couples were and stuff, he learned it when he was young but actually feeling it for himself? Now that's a new feeling for him. "Ye- Yeah. I suppose so." Red sounded oddly distant now, but the blind creature decided not to question it. "At least you know how couples work and stuff, right?" Red said. Green nodded. "M - Mhm. . ." He mumbled in response.
"Good. Now scram." Red grumbled and retreated back to his office, Green sighed quietly. He then headed towards the castle room, not even sure of what to do anymore. He got his answer, but what was he supposed to do with it? Should he even do anything about it? He knew Blue wouldn't like him, like that would he? He was sure as hell that Blue only viewed him as a best friend, and somehow the thought, made Green's heart sink a bit.
But he was fine with that. He was fine in general. Nothing is wrong. If Blue only viewed him as a best friend then so be it, he would just have to accept the fact that the main star only saw him as one. Green couldn't change his mind nor gonna force him to love him. 'I'm fine with that, no matter how much it will hurt.' He thought, using a long arm to feel the floor below him. 'And besides, I kinda deserve it anyway. I mean, I cant do anything right. I'm just a blind freakshow, aren't I? Oh who am I kidding?! I AM a blind freakshow!' The blind creature whimpered quietly.
Realizing his mind was going too deep in the darker side, but what was he supposed to do? He suddenly stepped on something liquid, it felt like water. "Wha?" He sounded confused, looking downwards, but perhaps not exactly the direction of the water he had stepped in. "Helloooo!~" He heard a menacing but insane giggle from below, but it sounded unfamiliar so that scared him even more. "U - Um. . . .w - who are you? A - And where are you?" He demanded, but more like whimper.
"Oh! I'm sorry for scaring you. Or maybe not?" This made Green confused even more. "Anyways! I'm Purple and I live in the vents!" The strange—No—Purple said, and next thing Green felt was a paw around his leg, this made him yelp in surprise. "Damnnn! My observations were right, you are a jumpy one!" Purple giggled, moving their paw away from the blind creatures leg. "Y - You been watching us?" Green felt disturbed. "Oh yes! I've been here for as long as I can remember, I've always been in this place." They explained. "Every since I was created actually!"
Green frowned with confusion, the fear he felt was being replaced by nervousness. He slowly moved away from the water and sat down near the vent. "So. . .you're a rainbow creature? H - How did you get in the vents and how c - come we never heard of you?" He asked. "Curious bunch, aren't ya? Anyway, I got into the vents when I was young and curious. Though I don't exactly remember how I got stuck in these wonderful DAMN vents!" They snickered. "And yes! I'm indeed a rainbow creature but I took some odd substance so I'm like,,,,corrupted and shit like that." They hummed.
The blind creature stiffened. Was Purple insane or something? It clearly sounds like they were. "H - How long have you been in there?" Green mumbled. "Hundred years." Purple responded coolly. "O - Oh My. . ." Green shuddered, he couldn't imagine of being stuck somewhere for hundred years. "But don't worry! I learned to live with the feeling of forgotten and claustrophobia!" Purple laughed. "Okay, I take the claustrophobia part back. I don't have that but I'm sure you do." They said, looking at Green. "W - What does that mean?" He asked nervously.
"It means fear of closed in spaces, and due to your blindness, wouldn't you have that?" Purple replied, as their claws twitched whenever they hit the water. "I - I don't think so. . .I usually just camp wherever, I don't stay for long." Green shrugged. "So you're a camper eh? That's cool!" Purple commented, snickering a bit afterwards. "Hello Green And- VENT MONSTER?" Green jumped at the sound of Blue's voice, his heart pounding. "Oh hellooo mr. Dumbass!" Purple greeted with a insane laugh.
Blue cringed. "Wait a sec- how do you know my name?" He asked, immediately interested. "I've been here for a while, and besides, you were the main star of the place when the kids came here. Sooooo, I know everything!" Purple smirked, but they can only see glowing white eyes and purple claws. "I guess that's true." Blue shrugged, sitting down. "So, Whats your name?" He asked. "I - Its Purple. T - Their name is Purple. . ." Green answered shyly, feeling extra hot in the face. Blue smiled, feeling much more hotter in the face himself. "Well Purple, does Orange or Red know about you?" He asked.
Purple let out a laugh. "Nah! At least not yet!" They responded. "Oh so when will you reveal yourself to them?" Blue tipped his head to one side, leaning a bit close to the vent, before sitting up with a disgusted look on his face as if he smelled something bad. "Eww! The vents smell disgusting!" He snorted with disgust, "Hey, don't insult my home or else you ain't gonna be alive later. I'll snap your neck like how I snap those humans' necks!" Purple snapped, it was more aggressive than Red's aggression.
Blue just blinked a few times before laughing a bit, but Green just stayed silent. "How can you snap my neck if you're in the vents?" He hummed. "I have my ways!~" Purple purred, before looking at both of the rainbow creatures, and smirked. "You guys together yet or what?" Xe asked, giggling a bit afterwards when they saw Green's face and Blue's face went red. "W - What?" Green squeaked. "N - No! M - Me and Blue are just friends!" He huffed, despite his face being a bright red. Same with Blue. "Y - Yeah . . .friends!" Blue sounded hesitant and embarrassed.
Purple can tell when they both looked away from each other, looking slightly hurt. "Goddamn this is sad to watch." They muttered to themselves, retracting their claws into the vents but they stayed still. "Oh hey!" Blue and Green jumped when the vent creature greeted a new visitor, which was Orange. "Rawr?" He looked confused and spotted the vent monster, he jumped a bit, growling loudly. "Rawr!" Orange growled, avoiding the water that was leaking from the vents. "Oh hey Orange, w - we didn't see you there!" Blue said, surprisingly nervous now.
The small creature looked at the two confused then at Purple, growling quietly. "Oh him? That's Purple." Blue said awkwardly, before looking at them. "Wait- What are your pronouns?" He asked quickly. "Oh! I use any, but I mostly use they/them and it/it's!" Purple replied before giggling quietly afterwards. Orange cringed, backing away from the vent. "S - Should we really tell R - Red about them though. . .?" Green asked nervously, Purple twitched slightly. "Don't worry! I want you guys to tell him." They laughed.
Blue and Orange exchanged uncertain glances while Green looked more nervous. "A - Are you sure?" The blind creature asked awkwardly. "Yep! Or you can just bring him over here to prove that I'm real and that I exist!" They purred, their right eye twitching slightly even though all the other two can only their glowing eyes. "Okay, we'll tell him." Blue said and stood up, carefully helping Green up and all three left to go find Red. "Hehe, their gonna be together by the end of the week. I have a feeling." Purple giggled.
Could Purple be right. . .?
