( a few weeks later)
Shoyo stood in front of Kaito's little bed and sighed.
He grew sadder each day seeing all the small tubes, wires and monitors his little baby was attached to.
He himself was cleared this morning to go hom, but he just couldn't stand the idea of leaving his pup all along in the hospital.
Kaito was gaining weight, but not at the rate the doctors wanted which lead him to stay in the hospital a little while longer.
He leaned down, kissing the pups tiny head and sighed, "You got this baby. Your doing great" he whispered, lifting his head up and just staring down at the pup who squirmed around, huffing with a small scowl on his face.
"Pfft- you and Kazuyo are gonna get along great" Shoyo chuckled, the face reminded him of how Kazuyo constantly pouts or death glares.
"Hey baby"
He turned, and smiled and Tobio walked up to him.
"The doctor is gonna come talk to us" Tobio said, missing his cheek and nuzzling his head into his soft, orange hair.
"Okay" Shoyo smiled and leaned onto Tobio who just wrapped his arms around him, lightly scenting him.

About a half hour passed, and there was a small knock at the door.
In walked Miyu, Saito, and the head nurse, Kiyo.
"Good morning, how are you feeling?" Miyu asked, givin them both a smile.
"Better, thank you" Shoyo said as he kept his glance down at the pup.
"Well we have some good news for you guys" They said, and stepped aside for Kiyo to come foward.
"This little guy gets to go home today" she said, smiling as she went up to the couple who stared at her, then each other and smiled.
Shoyo felt like a brick was lifted off his chest, he finally gets to take his pup home.
"He's met the requirements he needed to fill to go home, but we do just need to go over what he needs to go home with, and continue to use" she said, then looked up at Miyu and Saito, letting them take over as she did a short exam on Kaito.
"As for you" Saito began, pulling out his chart. "I'm medically clearing you to start doing some activities. Nothing to strenuous, but some light jogging or yoga will be fine" Saito smiled.
Shoyo nodded, and looked over at Miyu who finished off.
"I would like to schedule a follow up appointment at my regular office, as well as set one up for Kaito. I have a colleague who is an amazing pediatrician, specializes in premature pups. So I think she would be a great fit for you guys if your alright with that" They said.
"That would be great, thank you so much" Tobio said and smiled, looking down at Shoyo and putting his hand on his waist, kissing his head.
"We seriously can't thank you guys enough for everything" Shoyo said, tearing up as he looked up at the three of them.
"Oh honey don't cry" Kiyo smiled, reaching over and handing him a tissue.
"Sorry" Shoyo chuckled, taking it and just siping his eyes.

A couple hours later, and everything was ready for them to go.
Tobio went back and fourth from the hospital room, to the car. Just packing things up, while Shoyo stayed and got the pup dressed in his tiny outfit, which Miwa had bought for them.
"My goodness, your so cute" Shoyo leaned down and carefully lifted the pup up.

It felt so good to finally be able to hold him, no wires or monitors attached to him.
He just stood there, humming a little song as he gently swayed back and fourth.

Tobio quietly opened the door, a smile formed on his face when he saw Shoyo rocking side to side, the pup sound asleep in her arms, all curled up on his mama's chest.
He stood there for a moment, just admiring his beautiful husband.
Shoyo turned and jumped a little when he saw Tobio just standing there, leaning against the doorway. "Holy- you scared me" he said and chuckled as he walked closer to the two of them.
"Sorry baby" Tobio said, going in front of him and gently caressing his cheek, and kissing his forehead.
Shoyo relaxed into Tobio's touch, leaning his head into his chest as he felt his arms wrap around his waist, bringing them closer.
"Are you ready to go?" Tobio asked, he heard a simple hun, followed by Shoyo separating from the hug and looking down at the pup curled up on his chest.
Tobio went over and grabbed the car-seat from off the chair, and put it on the bed.
Shoyo gently, and carefully shifted the pup into Tobio's arms who then placed him in the seat, buckling him up and setting a small blanket over him. Ensuring he stayed nice and warm in the cool fall weather.
He reached over and grabbed Shoyo's jacket, and helped him put it on.
"Here" he said, buttoning it up and fixing his hair.
"Thank you" Shoyo reached up and gave him a kiss.

The couple said goodbye to everyone on the hospitals staff, who had been with them the long couple months they had been there for.
The nurses, and doctors all gushed over the pup as they said there final goodbye.
Even though it was so nice to have the support of all of them, the couple felt amazing to finally be bribing him home.
They then left the hospital to finally head home.
Tobio carried the car seat out, and put it in the car when they got there. Then helped Shoyo into the back seat, since he felt safe staying in the back with the pup.

Shoyo was anxious the whole car ride, he didn't keep his eyes off Kaito, who was now fully awake and fussing.
Shoyo reached over and grabbed the diaper bag, pulling out a new binkey and putting it in the pups mouth. "There you go sweetie" he leaned down and kissed the pups head.
After what felt like the longest car ride ever, they finally pulled onto their street, then up their driveway.
Shoyo let out a relieved sight and laid his head back on the seat, looking over when he heard the drivers door open. Then his.
Tobio held his hand out, and helped him out of the car.
He then reached inside, and unbuckled the car seat, pulling it out.
The couple walked hand-in hand up to their door, but before Tobio pulled his keys out, the door swung open reviewing Aiko, with Tatsuya right behind her.
She held it open for them, and helped them get their things inside.
The twins and Kazuyo came running up, nearly trampling Shoyo as he went over to the couch and sat down.
"Mama!" Harumi giggled, getting up on the couch and giving him a big hug.
"Hi baby" Shoyo hugged her back and kissed her head, opening his other arm for Hanako and Kazuyo.
Hanako threw herself in the couch and kissed his cheek, "we missed you so much mama" she said, hugging him so tight, she nearly squeezed the life out of him.
Shoyo looked over at Kazuyo who teared up and got into his lap.
"Oh it's okay baby" Shoyo brought him closer and nuzzled their heads together, gently rubbing his back.
Hanako and Harumi hopped off the couch, gojng up to Tobio who was setting the car seat down on the floor in front of them, and carefully unbuckled the pup.
Hanako gasped and giggled, staring down at him, "he's so cute!" She plopped down on the floor next to him.
Tobio chuckled and began taking him out, making sure he stayed bundled up.
The pup opened his eyes and stared up at them all, his tiny arms stretched above his head and came down as he curled up onto Tobio's chest.
"He's so tiny" Harumi said, putting her hand on his little head and stroking his hair.
"He is, but he'll get bigger and stronger. Just like you, your sister and Kazu did" Yobio smiled and began to stand, leading the twins back to the couch and sitting down next to Shoyo.
Kazuyo stared at the pup, he gave a little stink eye and turned his head.
Shoyo snorted and held Kazuyo close, the jealously practically radiated off the now huffy pup.
Kaito's hands broke free from the little swaddle blanket he was wrapped in, opening his eyes and staring up at Kazuyo.
He huffed and reached his hands up to him, making Kazu turn.
"I think he wants to see you, baby" Shoyo smiled, looking at Kazuyo who just huffed and sat down.
He glanced at the pup, and after a few moments, opened his arms.
Tobio gently, and carefully settled the pup into the little boys arms.
Kaito turned and faced Kazuyo's chest, and fell asleep, hit tiny hand wrapped around one of his fingers.
"He's cute.." Kazuyo said, looking down at him.
Aiko held back a squeal, and snapped many photo's. Tatsuya had to stop her after about two hundred were already taken.
Shoyo and Tobio moved, so now the twins were both on either side of Kazuyo, all of them admiring the sleeping pup in his arms.

Aiko and Tstuya left, giving the family some time to just be with each other, and settle down.
Shoyo cuddled up to Tobio, a smile kept on his face. " I can't believe we have two almost- eight year olds, a five year old, and a newborn" he said, sitting up and looking at Tobio who chuckled and nodded.
"We sure do have our hands full, huh?" He nuzzled their faces together as Sho nodded.
He brought him in for a kiss, putting his hand in the back of his head as they separated, both goofy smiling at each other.
"Ewwww"
They turned and saw Hanako and Harumi covering Kazuyo's eyes, sticking their tongues out at their parents.
"Fine, fine. Time for bed you three" Tobio said, sitting, then standing up and gently taking Kaito from Kazuyo, who didn't really wanna let him go.

The couple got the kids all ready for bed, getting them all in their rooms, then going into their own and setting Kaito in the little bassinet next to their bed.
They both fell asleep, cuddled up in each others arms.
Just as they drifted off, Kaito's binkey fell out of his mouth. Loud cries filled the room, causing the couple to both wake up.
"I got it" Tobio said, getting up and tending to the pup. Who was now wide awake, and not going back to sleep.
"Gonna be a long night, mm" He said, sighing as he picked the pup up.
