It was an ordinary day in a regular,run in the power station.The lead electrician was standing on ladders with most of his upper body in the ceiling.One of his workers was making sure the ladder stood still and handed him the tools from time to time.
Y/N:Just like I thought.Mice.
Worker1:So we get a cat or something?
Y/N:Id rather pick a rat,something smarter.Have you ever heard of the saying:Build a better mousetrap,and the world with will beat the path to your doors?
Worker:Um,Wiliam Shakespear?
Y/N:Shakespear said: If it were done when 'tis done, then twere well it were done quickly.The mousetrap basically means be smarter and do it yourself.Get few moustraps and bait.

Y/N:Mice eat cheese in cartoons only.Chocolate and any type of nuts woeld work better.Rodents teeth never stop growing so food that wears down their teeth fits them perfectly.OK,I think Im done here.
He put the tile back on the ceiling,got off the ladder and put away all the tools in their box.
Worker1:How exactly do you know all that?
Y/N:You hear stuff on TV.And the rest is what I learned so I had more to talk about on dates.I have another one after todays shift.
Worker1:Really,whos the lucky lady?
Y/N:Dont know.After so many times it didnt worked out,I decided to try a dating sight.You just put in a fake user name like in the comments,write some things about you and they find a perfect match.So today Ill meet SuperConductor.
Worker1:Maybe they matched her name with your job?
Y/N:I think its a little more coplicated than that.
Worker1:But would it ve funny if it worked like that?You could end up with a female body builder that escaped from jail and joined the dating site to get an aliby or find a new victim.

Y/N was sitting at one of the caffe tables,waiting for his mystery date.

???:Havent you heard that lady needs to make an entrance?
Y/N turned to see the source of that female sound.It was a tall,black and white femsle alien with a tail,a tendril on her head that surved a purpose of a pony tail,and a single green eye.

Y/N:Yes.Then you must be SuperConductor?
Conductoid:Call me Voltya.Voltya Wattson.
Y/N:Y/N L/N.
She walked over to his table and took a seat across him.
Voltya:Sorry Im late.I felt a little,peckish.
She opened up her hand and closed it a few times as electricity surged through them.
Y/N:Youre a Conductoid right?I thought they were solitaty.
Voltya:Just because if there are too many on one place we could cause a massive explosion.
Y/N:Exuse me?
Voltya:Boys are negativley charged and girls positivley.I guess thats why I have this positive personality.So what made you use such a shocking username?
Y/N:Im a head electrician in the Bellwood power plant.
Voltya:Mmm,no wonder we were a match.You can work and we can have a dinner date at the same time.
Y/N:Im sure matches are about more than just usernames.
Voltya:Nope,it was made but a lazy Galvan.It mathces similar words and synonyms.
Y/N:Sounds like thered a lot of mistakes.
Voltya:Meh,couples should compromise so its a great way to learn.
Y/N:Aha.And what do you do?
Voltya:Were actually in the similar business of power play.I absord what little energy is in the old machines and gizmos to charge soemthing people actually use nowdays.Youd be suprised how many engeens are thown at the city dump with at least half capacity.
Y/N:Proof we take a poor care of the world.
Valtya:Well its not like you dont have another planet to choose from.It would just take a while to get used to other places and customs in the Universe.
Y/N:But that what makes the planet we live on that much more important to us.
Valtya:I never worried about those things.I can travel from planet to planet using minute voltage differences and eat almost any energy as long as it has some sort of a charge.
Y/N:So you never stayed at one place for a long time?
Valtya:Nope.I like free life style.Come and go as I please.What about you?
Y/N:Im like electricity in certain part of the circuit.Grounded.I lived with my parents until I got a job and bought a house in the same neighborhood.Apart from some business trips I never travelled anywhere out of town.
Voltya:Doesnt that get boring?
Y/N:I like to think of it as safe.Like a mechanism or interupted circuit.If nothing changes,everything keeps working as it should.
Voltya:What about,upgrades?
She wrapped her tail around his hand to guide it to his complementary glass of water.It took by suprise which only made her winked at him.Which was difficult to tell since she had only one eye.
Voltya:Sometimes changes can turn out for the better.If I went to meet another one of my species,theres a fifty fifty chance wed both blow up.What makes you think I went on a date with a human?
Y/N:Good point.
Voltya:Tell you what,next date Ill pick where we go.
Y/N:Next date?

Y/N entered his house and locked the doors behind him.
Y/N:Im home!Have youu been lonely while I was away?
He is met with only silence as he took of his coat and went into the living room.
Y/N:I met the SuperConductor and she turned out to be a Conductoid,which in hindsight is pretty obvious.
He took out a yellow and orange tube andstarted to walk and talk to the other end of the room.
Y/N:Her names Voltya Wattson and she seems like a very easy going person.We actually have a somewhat similar job.What was your day like?
It turns out the was walking towards a big aquarium whose interiour resembled amazon river.And the only inhabitant was,not surprisingly a female electric eel.He opened the top to pour the food canister which let out dead insects and fragments of dried meat.
Y/N:Bone a petit Eelektra.
Y/N went to have his dinner,a shower and went to sleep.
The next day,Y/N was back in his power plant.He was walking down the hall and signing the papers for delivers of some spare parts and tools.On the way to the main office he passed by the water cooler where some of his workers were taking a break to discuss a movie.
Worker2:Hey boss.
Worker1:How did the date go?
Y/N:Very well actually.We have quite simmilar professions.
Worker1:So I was right about how that site worked?
Y/N:Surprisingly yes.
Worker1:Yes!Pay up.
Worker2:(Sigh)Here you go.
The second worker gave a small sum of money to the one from yesterday since they apparently made a bet.But Y/N still felt it wrong that they essentially bet on his date.
Worker2:So did you see eye to eye?
Y/N:More than you think.
Y/N:(More like eyes to eye in this case.)
He heard a buzzing sound and took out his phone.
Worker1:What is it?
Y/N:Its her.She mustve sent me a massage through that site.
Worker1:What does it say?
Worker2:Cmon,tell us.
Y/N:It says she wants to meet me at the city dump.Why would she want me to be there?
Worker1:Maybe my theory that shes from prison wasnt so far fetched.
Y/N:No it is far fetched.A strange answer isnt necesarry fitting for a strange question.I guess Ill just have to go and see.
Worker1:If Im right,do I take your job?
Worker2:Oh please,Im way more qualified than you.
While the two bickered back and fourth,Y/N rubbed the bridge of his nose in realization he works with children.Then he wrote to Voltya in response that he'll head out when his shift is over.And it seemed like its gonna take a while.
Timeskip city dump
Y/N parked near the entrance because he thought if someone saw his car within the city dump limits,theyd consider it garbage.He made it inside and looked around.It hit him sometime ago that she didnt told him where exactly to go.He was about to pull out his phone to ask her when he heard something.Looking up,it was apparent it was a falling car engine so he jumped out of the way.After regaining his composure after near death experience,he headed in direction from when the engine was launched.He got on top ofthe next garbage hill and saw Voltya at the base of the hill with hands on her hips grinning at him.
Voltya:Took you long enough Ground.
Y/N:Itd be easier if you waited for me outside.And what did you call me?
Voltya:Ground,cause youre always grounded.Like electrical circuit.
Y/N playfully rolled his eyes and tired slidding down from his garbage hill without bruising or cutting his legs.Once he was at the base of the hill with Voltya,he saw her move the tendil on her head forward and stuck in into the car battery.She drained it of any eletrtricity and pulled the tendril back,in the same time pulling the battery out of the car and tossing it into the air.
Y/N:Isnt that dangerous?What if you hit someone?
Voltya:Whod go to the dump for no reason?Besides,there are signs that say danger and do not enter.If someone gets hit,theyll have more respect for the signs.
Y/N:Cant argue with that.
Y/N:(And it be better I dont,since its only our second date.)
Y/N:So why did you want to have our second date in a city dump.Call me old fashioned but I dont see the apeal.And smell it even less.
Voltya:I work here and Im still on the clock.At least this way we wont have to cut our time together short.I packed you some sandwitches if youre hungry.Theyre in the trunk of that car.
She pointed her golden digit at the rusty blue car that looked like a wrecking ball fell on its roof.The inpact broke the trunk open and Y/N could see a picnic basket inside.It wouldve been sweeter if the location of their date was different.
Y/N:Im not that hungry now.
Voltya:Suit yourself.
She walked over to another car and ripped the hood off with ther bare hands before absorbing the energy again.
Y/N:So um,howve been?
Voltya:Nothing much changed since yesterday.The girls from work asked about you.You know how it is when your friend just have to know everything that goes on in your life?
Y/N:Yeah,I had similar conversation earlier today.One of them even thought youre from prison and that you called me here to dispose of me.Can you belive that?
Voltya:How do you know hes not wrong?
Y/N:Well because he,wait what?
Voltya:Kidding!Loosen up,will ya.I have a friend or two in prison and theyre not that bad.Hey if this doesnt work out-

Voltya:Relax,theyre sweet girls.Just a short fuse and tiny little anger issues.What about you?You know anyone,dangerous?
Y/N:The most dangerous person I know would be my mom at Thanksgiving.Long story short,no more big feasts.
Voltya:You seriously need more excitement in your life.I probably moved to a dozen places before you moved out of your parents house.

She moved away from the car and tilts her head at him with her fists on hier hips.
Voltya:Of really?And how do you figure that out?
Y/N:Souns like you have some sort of abandonment issue.Just the other way around.
Voltya:Are you saying I can keep a home?
Y/N:More like you commit to one place emotionally so you leave before you have to deal with something serious.Like a kid running away from home when things arent going their way.

Her single eye darted from side to side.With a less than a belivible laughter too.She just retured to open the car hood and continue her job.Y/N got curious and maybe his wild guess was onto something.He folded his hand behind his back and walk to Voltya.If their heights were switched he would have been looking over her shoulder.But she was just too tall far him.
Voltya:What are you doing?
Y/N:Just thinking.
Voltya:About what?
Y/N:Nothing.Just playing a detective.You seem a liitle nervous.
Voltya:Nervous,me?
Y/N:Im just saying,you were so cheerfull before I brought that up.How long were you on Earth again?
Voltya:Just a cople of months...Two months...A month and a half.OK,so what if thats the case?It never harmed anyone.

They smiled and shook their hands on it.Y/N noticed that her hand felt a little stciky and pulled back.He saw his hands turned black from the oil that mustve leaked from one of the cars.
Voltya:Heh,oops.Guess theres more than just energy left in this old tin cans.
Y/N:Just do me a favor and dont hug me before you take a bath.
Voltya:Ooh,was that an invitation?
Y/N:What?Oh no,that not what I-
Voltya:Haha!Relax,Im just kidding.Youre fun to mess with,yes you are.
She pinched his cheek like one would a child and Y/N had a unamused look on his face.
Y/N:You just spread oil on my cheek didnt you?
Voltya:Yes I did.Want me to do the other one for the sense of simetry?
Y/N:Lets not and say we did.Oh oh.
Voltya:Whats the matter?
Y/N:Something Ive been dreading this entire time.
His stomach then started to sound off,which meant he was hungry and that meant hes gonna have to eat the sandwithes she put in the trunk of the rusty car.
Y/N:I think I may be hungry.
Valtya:Well why didnt you said so?I could go for a lunch break.Lets eat.
Y/N:Right behind you.
She walk to the car with the picnic basket,on the way putting her arm behind Y/Ns back and guiding him.She took out the basket,closed the trunk of that smashed up car and sat on it.To speed him up,Voltya wrapped her tail around Y/Ns waist and placed him to sit in her lap,the basket falling in his.She opened it up and took out a apple sized batter for herself to lightly snack on the ions.Y/N on the other hand picked one of the few sandwitches inside and to his suprise and even greater relief,they looked normal.He opened it half way and saw nothing he would be uncofmortable with eating so he took a bite.
Y/N:Mmm,this is pretty good.
Voltya:I try out lots of hobies in my spare time.Have to keep moving like a curent.Besides cooking,I can also play guitar,shoot targets with great accuracy and I volounter at the aquarium.
Y/N:Really?
Voltya.Yep,I swim in the giant rainsforest tank with electric eels.I even learned how to make a defensive voltage around myself like them.Which is really usefull since gavials and piranhas dont like guests.
Y/N:I actually have one electric eel for a pet at home.
Voltya:Didnt know you could have them as pets.
Y/N:Well its not the matter of whether theyre ilegal as pets as much as a matter of being prepared to support one in your home.If youre not doing anything later,maybe you could come over and see her.
Voltya:Really?Id love to.Just let me finish here and bring the stored electricity to my boss when Im done.

Y/N:And this is where I go afterr work.
Y/N said as he led Voltya into his house.
Voltya:Not much of a club,Id give it two start.And Im being generous.
Y/N:Hilarious.
Voltya:I thought so.
He closed the doors behind them and showed her his aquarium whith the electric eel.As soon as they got close,Voltya tapped the glass with her finger flickering from static electriciy which attracted the eel.
Y/N:This is Eelectra.My domesticated companion.All I need is a way to pet her.
Voltya:She says youre a really nice guy.And ooh.Whats that?She also says that you have a huge crush on a Conductoid girl.
Y/N:You can really talk to her?
Voltya:Nope.But seeing you didnt denied it,I guess I had a pretty good guess.
Y/N averted his eye and scratched his head with a blush.
Y/N:I wouldnt say huge but-
Voltya:But thats what I want to hear.
Out of nowhere,she roses to her full height and lifts him up by under his arm to be in eye level with her.
Y/N:W-what are you doing?
Instead up answering him,she decided to show him.She brought him closer until their lips met.His eyes bulged out of his eyes in surprise before he melted in her hands.His pet Eelectra was swimming in circles out of happieness,almost as if cheering.After she seperated,there was a pink kissmark ascross his mouth.She didnt set him down on the ground until she was sure he was no longer,unfocused.
Y/N:It's huge.
Voltya:Just like I said.Now wheres your phone.I have to tell your boss youre not coming to work tommorow.
Y/N:How come exactly?
Voltya:I held back just now.The last guy I kissed was a bit electrocuted.Just a mild paralysis.
